It’s a good skill, but it’s entirely situational, and the range is very short, keeping you close to downed allies, which would be a risk if they got downed in the first place. But it does grant you a chance to kite while casting, instead of directly reviving and taking direct damage from enemies, I suppose.

The ele nerf was for two skills, I don’t understand why you would need to change an entire build because of two skills.

Fire grab is one of the most powerful ele bursts for off hand dagger along with churning earth, and it’s fine as is.

I couldn’t stand a full bunker build, so I made a hybrid build with enough of a tank and health pool to stay alive but also deliver tons of critical damage that works amazingly well. Of course this took me months of trial and error, which is what I assume people are not willing to do, so they go with the easiest builds to make and play, thus you have the common bunker/healing builds.

Same thing I did before, kill people in WvW. :P The QQ is all for nothing, not much changed, or at least not anything that requires you to change your entire build, only a mild inconvenience that is easily remedied with a slight change in skill management. Besides, only two skills got nerfed, other skills got buffed.

That seems to be the trend. NNK is big enough to do what they want at night which means the other two servers are at a disadvantage.

With a little more challenge to them, this tier might be a lot closer.

That’s funny, because every night I see FA attacking TC and running scared from DB.

The only way this matchup will have any resemblance of balance is if FA get over their petty obsession with beating TC, and try to fight DB.

We do attack DB when we can, but we don’t often get far with that, they usually have their stuff pretty locked down. So yeah, we attack TC, because when we do, we gain good ground in the time we spend fighting. Would be silly to smash our faces against something that won’t be easy to take when there’s more ppts to be taken elsewhere. I’m assuming that’s what TC did in the last match ups as well, but that’s not for me to say.

Arrow carts needed a buff, but this is overkill.

Honestly, never had much of a problem with retaliation, unless I have low health.

I find the lack of respect for each other from either server disturbing. We’re all people playing a game, and a virtual server doesn’t change that. FA this, TC that, it doesn’t matter, the game was made to have fun, and that’s what we should be doing instead of crying about things on here.

Every weapon as its uses, and what you are trying to do doesn’t really fit with staff. Staff is mainly a support/AoE weapon, sure you can do some good DPS to larger groups of enemies, but single target damage will be lacking compared to other options, that’s intended, and that’s how it should stay, D/D and staff are fine as is, scepter and focus however could use a little love.

Well dual daggers is meant for damage and cc not heals.

Earth is good if you want more armor and protection, also good if you use signets for the trait that gives you the passive effects all the time, even if you use the signet’s active skill.

No, it’s not, but it’s more complex than the other classes.

Tornado has its uses. I use it more often than any of the other elites, though I do change it up sometimes depending on the situation.

I don’t understand why RISE felt the need to guest on our server and trash talk for a good few minutes, but okay.

And if someone in our server does it first, please contact us, because this is not the way to handle things.

Could always use more siege rewards. I would have to agree with the no badges from a JP thing.

I think it’s rather funny how every time we face FA, the excuses for why they don’t win start rolling within a day or two of reset. Excuses always begin with “They’re 2v1 us”… then people point out that TC also has control of the 3rd servers territory… and are attacking the 3rd servers SMC.

Then excuses move to guilds transferring to TC. Then people point out that only a few medium sized WvW guilds have transferred here since release, while one of our largest WvW guilds has left. Meanwhile FA has had 4 just last week transfer… from a Tier 1 server.

Inevitably the blame shifts to saying we have more numbers… but as proven by Kaineng, we have very little players outside of NA. Sure we have some, but not nearly enough to compete with the likes of the Oceanics from Kaineng, or any of the Tier 1 servers.

Ultimately this then brings about name calling… calling us roleplayers and saying that we are bad in the open field… when to be honest, our guild has rarely lost a fight in open field against FA. Are we going to say it never happens? No, but we win far more fights in the open field than we lose, and I think there are several guilds that can say the same thing.

Bottom line… TC finds a way to win. Whether through better organization, better tactics… or hell, maybe we just roleplay better and that’s the tipping point.

Whatever the reason, in every week that TC has battled, we’ve gone up against some of the best servers and have had nothing but compliments from the likes of Kaineng, Blackgate, Sanctum or Rall, Sea of Sorrows, Dragonbrand and Maguuma. The only server who we seem to constantly see excuses coming from?

Well, I think everyone can see the pattern from FA.

It’s really a shame that some take this game so personally and get upset. It’s one of the strong traits of Tarnished Coast. We used to get our kitten handed to us… and instead of trash talking on the forums, or making us excuses, we looked at why we died and learned from it. We’ve had our kitten handed to us by the likes of Blackgate, SoS, SoR, etc… we didn’t trash talk (Ask them if you want)… we came back fighting and got better each time.

Hopefully we’ll see less of the trash talking/excuse making from FA next week and more of this ‘superior open field fighting’.

Finally, thank you to everyone who helped TC in EB gobble up FA’s holdings this morning, and then to those of you (and there were only 10 left on the map to begin with) who held out against KN’s 40+ who flipped all our towers but VS, and tried very hard for both that and the keep.

I’m certain you’d have had both if I wasn’t around. If it’s any consolation, I am now exhausted, and way past my bedtime >.>

[RISE] had +12hours epic battles in FA borderland thank you for zerg v zerg.. at first BT put a hell of a show zerging us with a whole server! that was pretty challenging.. then PRO came out later the night, things became fun to us lots of zerg v zerging till we hit outman in FA and it was gg.. so great reset tonight guys! i hope you guys enjoy fighting us in FA

This. There are so many ways to get exotics in this game and that’s the max gear. So….idk why anyone wouldn’t go for it right after they get to lvl 80.

Also, sPvP everyone has the same gear, you can choose different stats but that’s to make your own build, everyone is on the same page in sPvP.

Just to the fact that having more people attacking your group equates to more damage to your group. I dont even see it possible for a 5man to beat a 6man…EVER…skill doesnt even play a factor in this because of numbers….
I suggest all 5mans merg up and create optimuszerg to have a fighting chance. Also all zergs should sit on top of each other to abuse the game mechanics and really show of their skill. Aswell as use stealth curtain/group stealth to sneak up on people even when not stealthed because of another broken game mechanic and kill them before they even know whats going on. I’ve been able to contribute to a group even on a lvl 12. Of course you can’t take on people by yourself, but you can help. Even with crap gear you can do well if you’re good enough, but I mean it’s not gonna help your build much.

I don’t know how anybody is having fun to be honest with you. I personally am bored with fighting DB and whoever. They don’t have the coverage to compete with us, just like we don’t have the coverage if we went to T2.

if Krew, and EA, and NNK and a few more notable guilds would move to FA. we would have a competitive server that could stick in T2. As opposed to FA facerolling T3, Maguuma Facerolling T4. This would Create fun fights for everybody involved, as well as a balanced tier. FA has the oceanic coverage…in fact we have the most oceanic coverage I would say, we need more WvW oriented NA guilds, and an SEA/EU presence to do it.

It only makes sense. I can pretty much speak for all of BT when I say we would prefer to be losing/in a competitive fight. The borderlands become a target rich enviroment as opposed to a PvDoor snoozefest or unorganized zerg farm/Enemy not being able to field players due to fairweathers.

Now just because you’re abusing buff stacking and Ele’s AE dmg doesnt mean everyone else who isnt running 20 ele’s and 20 guards with 50 stacks of might and dmg abs. shields up the kitten is an unorganized zerg.

Next month you’re D/D ele zerg ball will be nerfed into oblivion and you can all go back to playing thiefs again.

The vast majority of Yaks Bend has no interest in being in this bracket, ever. We prefer smaller fights and if we wanted large fights we would have moved onto a tier 1 server long ago.

I’m not gonna get into an internet fight with you because you are upset or something or your feelings are hurt. Pretty sure you can’t “abuse” buff stacking, buffs are part of the game and how you PvP in this game. Golem rushes can be stopped if you react quickly. They will melt through gates rather quickly, but if you have siege, or a good force inside you can wipe the enemy and their golems. And yes, do not underestimate boiling oil and cannons, they are very important to have, they can melt the golems faster than they can melt the gate if the enemy is silly enough to leave them be.

Yeah, that seems a bit too far for an AC to be firing. From the boardwalk to inside the keep that they can’t even see from that area? idk guyz. lol

Siege is not very expensive, you can build up quite an arsenal. And repair costs are not much of a problem either, I mean unless you die 516846 times in under twenty minutes.

We get people like you a lot. And as someone who does WvW a lot, I don’t think it is for it is for everyone, but since it is a part of the requirement, you might as well help your server. Know your class, stay with a group, and use teamwork. You get your map completion and the server gets more manpower in the process. Just play smart like you would in a dungeon.

As for an answer to your question:

As a regular commander in Drgn, I can tell you that if we have people spying on your mumble it’s for their own humor, not for tactical purposes. Or possibly for our humor. I’ve heard people talk about this, but we haven’t had active spies since Pending was around. Even then, it was because Pending enjoyed the social aspect of the game… recruiting/spying/guild amalgamation.

As much as you claim there is no one on your server that would resort to spying, I have a hard time believing that. When we moved our golems from our spawn to behind the windmill (you guys owned the south camp btw) 5-10 Drgn came running at us. If you didnt resort to spying, i would love to know what kind of scouting you guys have so we can also use that on Mag.

Why anyone would go through that trouble is beyond me. :P
