This thread along with some others comes to proof us that they don’t care about commited and loyal players.
1- why the thread was moved and got 0 feedback?
A: cause to many ppl use the general discussion forum. So it was getting to much attention and ppl were starting to get upset with the lack of respect for the players. Even the ones who doesn’t have the legendary wrre getting annoyed.. so they move the thread here where less ppl see it and only a few will get annoyed. Just the ones with the problem and that actually goes after some sort of fix or attention. Because there are quite a few who has the item but just dont use this forum section.
2- several infractions given and posts deleted due to “not positive feedback”. Why delete those if noone from anet gave us any feedback, being positive, negative or whatever it is?
A: by deleting posts and forcing ppl to post in a specific way they can control the number of poats to not create a huge thread that wouls be getting extra attention from the community and would possibly impact on the number of x-pack sales.
3- check the classes forum, for example thieves and warrior. Since i play only those 2 they are the ones i check daily. The ammount of negative feedback about the elite specs berzerker and daredevil is huge, because they are not viable or just worse than the main spec.. and guess what: 0 replies from anet as well.
4-they throwing new legendaries on your face and they expect everyone to go after them blindly forgetting all aboit the past. They also showing legendary backpacks and shiny stuff from HoT.
A: they do that to generate a hype and so ppl will buy the xpack.. but after you finish the purchase. That is it folks..you are not their focus anymore. If you quit now, that is an acceptable loss, since you already purchased the xpack copy. They will focus and showing the shiny stuff over and over because that will make othera purchase the xpack too. The loyal customers and commited players might as well just step aside and stop prejudicing the hype they trying to create.
5- wvw players have been asking for the same stuff over and over on the past 3 years. Did anet hear the community or discussed anything before implementing recent changes to the game mode?
A: no. Instead of hearing the community that plays that game mode every day, they just implemented new gimmick mechanics that noone like from EOTM into the “new wvw” andmade it ao that players wont be able to choose not to joon that new wvw like they do by avoiding eotm map.. they just removing the old BLs so you have no choice. Skill lag/ class balancing/ BLs cap numbers/ server performance. Those issues were never really dealt with.. just got hidden in the old dark corner while they try to generate a hype and make everyone focus the attention on how good looking keeps are.. how big the map is and stuff like that. This way some ppl lose focus and stop complaining. But the real thing is.. community was ignored once again.
I purchased the premium vetsion of the xpack.
The 2 classes i like playing are receiving garbage elite specs.
One of the legendaries i crafted is completely broken and no estimated time for a fix.
The game mode i love (wvw) is getting hit hard time with xpack, and not in a good way .
Dugeons got nerfed to the ground and soon will be just ignored by the community since they removed bunch of rewards and will remove more.. cause it is not enough to offer new fractals.. they wanna force you into it. “You are going to keep doing old dugeons instead of new fractals?? Opsy.. i guess you gonna have to think it over again now.”
Oh but let me add the constructive feedback part on my post huh: (talking to the wall part of the post)
Hey wall.. we really would like some feedback on the known bugs on this legendary. It is an item that takes time and effort to be crafted and it has now 85% of its features broken or just removed.
Can you please take a look at it and talk to us.. give us an answer.. any fix planned? Any action? Refunding mats maybe??

6 pages so far.. and there are 3 points getting repeated over and over in many sifferent ways.. but the points are clear so far:
1- daredevil is getting better if compared to 1st BWE, but still there is a long road till it can be called a good class. The proper description right now would be a fun class(period).
2- staff is greatly underpowered if compared to any weapon set. Again, it is fun.. but that is it. You can see lots of thieves saying d/p this…. s/d that… p/p this…. d/d that… some showing builds and tips but its a common idea that staff is not very rewarding.. auto attack is not strong.. skill 3/4 could use a tweak.. there are some ideas but it is clear that ghe weapon set misses something..
3- we need a better way to clear condi… the “remove a random condi on evade” is good on theory since we have one extra dodge.. but it can be countered quite easily by just stop attacking…
Again there are some good ideas on this but right now.. the spec is extremely weak due to lack of condi clear… anywhere you go there are tons of condi being applied.. pve…pvp…wvw even more.. and with no condi clear.. it is just impossible to survive for long enough..
Come on ANET.. give thieves some love
I already faced it wont get fixed..
HoT comming.and along with that comes lots og new bugs yet to be discovered and reported..
And so devs gonna focus on the new stuff because it is “cool” and forget about old problems like this one..
It is bugged for 1 and a half year already.. so they figured we are already getting used to it.
The precursor horn is wayyyy cheaper than other precursors as well.. not because it is easy to be obtained.. but because of the state of the legendary horn itself..
So ghe whole community already adapted to this fact:
Legendary warhorn is just broken..
But still offers the easiest way to change stats and some unique effects, even if bad ones.. that is why it costs less then 50% of other precursors that actually works..
The burn aspect is rather nice.. but since they kinda messed up trait lines on last trait reviews we just cant change anything to replace by the zerker line. Only if the goal is pure trolling around
You wont see many zerkers in pvp and specially wvw.
To be viable in wvw we just can NOT remove any trait line to replace for the zerker line..
Otherwise you just gonna die extremely fast or make your team weaker
Plz add a way to remove condi that is more efficient than 1 random condi on evade…
That makes thief not viable on wvw and against any heavy condi build.. all the oponent has to do is land all their condi and stop attacking at all.. even if you down him.. he will rally cause you cant clear the condis and you will die as well…
Make it “a random condi on dodge” or i dont know give thieves a way to clear condis..
Everyone is playing condi.. even warrior with the new zerk spec.. and thieves has so few ways to clear them that it is extremely hard to survive 1st engage from a condi built.
Changes on this bwe were positive and it improved the class overall but still.. it is more of the same..
Thieves were already ok at spvp and roaming wvw modes..
Thieves need a boost to be viable on high end pve areas and small/big wvw fights…
So you added a non stealth build for thieves where the only survivabilty comes from dodges..
And boom.. you announce high end HOT pve mobs willvhave NON dodgeable damage.. ta daaa.. you just killed the whole survivabilty of the class.
And on wvw small/big fights 1 extra dodge just isn’t enough..
Needs more endurance recovery to be able to dodge more often and cond cleanse if you wont have access to stealth.. 1 random condi cleanse is just not enough when you are taking 3-8 condi in a single second..
So the spec, in my opinion, just does not offer any boost on the areas where thieves were not viable..
You could have made it so that DD became bad spec for roaming/spvp but a good spec for wvw/high end pve.. so thieves could alternate between builds, but nope. You just gave thieves a different way of being “ok” on same modes where he is already ok..
Till now my 2 classes (thief and warrior) are getting really underwhelming specs from HOT..
And i already pre-purchased..

The spec is fun.. and basically.. that is it.
If you wanna have fun.. you can use it and achieve that..
If you wanna play for serious competitive goals on spvp or wvw… sorry, not this time..
You just can’t take other traits for a the new ones..
But that is not a prob with the spex itself.. it is a prob with last trait patch that messed up all the warriors mandatory traits and kinda made only one build viable… in order to be competitive you just can’t remove those trait lines no matter what..
So there is like 2 ways out of this:
1- completely rework warrior trait lines offering more build options to players (let’s face it… just wont happen)
2- leave it as it is and berserker will be just left out of the competitive modes of the game.
It is quite sad.. since the 1st image that comes to our mind was something awesome.. and than..after looking closely we have that “mehhh”

I have a thief 80 and i don’t use it very much.. was my 1st char and i love assassin playstile.. but it just lacks to much aspects.
Survivability : depends on stealth and since there is to much condi going on these days, stealth is just not enough.. wvw it is USELESS other than roaming. I just would like to see something that offered a chance for thieves to be in the big fights as well..
Damage: to be able to do damage it also needs to go glass cannon.. and the chances are to get downed before you down the oponents.
On pve solo on sw or any high end zone it is just too squishy to go melee.. you get downed in a hit from teragliffs… and the damage is not enough too.. any other class can put up as much dmg or almost the same damage and survive longer..
When i heard about daredevil i was extremely excited.. the image of ninja turtle donatello came to my mind.. but the AA is just not that cool.. and again it lacks in to many aspects:
The extra dodge is just not enough to makevit survive in pve or wvw any longer then thieves already do..
No condi cleanse or just one random cleanse is just bad.
The dmg can get high if and only if target stand still.. that doesnt happen in wvw or in high end pve zones… so it is quite hard to get enough damage…
Staff skill 3 and 4 feels kinda mehh.. you guys could add something similar to hammer 4 warrior skill.. a 360 spin dmg skill that do something.. that would be nice..
Endurance regen still slow and should add endurance regen on dodge like the adrenaline regen on burst mastery from warrior or something like that..
I just dont see daredevil being the upgrade to make thieves viable on the ares he was not viable before..
It might be fun on spvp and roaming.. but thieves were already ok on those areas of the game.. it needs something to make it viable on wvw small/big fights and high end pve ..
I might be mistaken but i still think any other class can do what thieves do better or at the same level they do right now.. so why bring a thief to tbe group??

As a wvw player, all i can say is:
Not worth it.
You need to sacrifice to much for a 30 second buff.. whenever you are not in berserker mode.. you are weak as kittenhen you added a CD on the transformation and boom.. if anyone had a doubt about it being useful, you completely removed that doubt..
So the only berserkers out there eill be PVE or really unexperienced warriors who will take it cause it is new…
But most warriors will just remain warriors.
The reason they didnt respond to this thread yet is not because someone higher on the team told them not to do so.. or that they are busy with HOT or that there is something going on..

Geodes you can farm in dry top directly or in chest trains on sw with those sand pieces.. but on sw will be a lot slower than on dry top..

- a 35 × 35 is already a medium fight.
But add a 3rd guild from the 3rd server.. lets say all 3 servers face each other with 30 man on each..
That is not a map blob or anything.. thats jist 1 guild from each server..
If that happens we all know that this is going to be a terrible fight cause of server performance…
You said for yourself ( those fights where ppl spam 1).. they do that because the skill lag is already considered a “feature” of the game and spamming 1 makes your auto attack to go off.. of you try to use any other skill, you are goong to get stuck in skill lag.. so ppl just spam 1 cause at least that works evebtually faster than waiting for skills to go off..
Deny it as hard as you want.. pretend it is not like that but deep down you know it, i know it, Anet knows it and every wvw players know that things are like this: 90 + players fighting in same place = terrible server performance..
Now lets compare this to lineage2 ( a 11 years old game) from ncsoft. Servers could and still can handle 500 players fighting in the same castle with no problem..
So there is no speculatoon here.. it is a fact. Gw2 server performance is terrible if it cant handle 90 players fighting.

Its common sense. You have a clean map with barely any automatic event or defenses or any of those stuff and the lag is there on every big fight.
Now if you have the exact same situation and add even more proccessing to the server.. you really think it is going to be any better? LoL
The only thing that would fox this would be:
Increasing server performance to a level where it can handle these events.. but instead.. they didn’t increase anything rather than the proccessing requirements for their server.. it is going to be worst…
- you say that on off hours the situation is already bad.. well sorry for your server but it isnt like that for everyone.. it is going to be on this huge map since only 80 players are allowed to go in but today it isn’t..
And about sentries and towers scouting for you.. ok that is nice.. but they could just add those to the regular BL’s.. that feature dont need to be tied to the new map and booom: a 10x better map was just created.. just by adding 1 feature..
- when i mentioned cannon will kitten your previous work if you lose the event i didn’t mean that it will automatically flip everything back.. but if you have barely any idea of the time and effort needed to fix all the walls that the cannon hitted.. you know that at least 30% will be gone by the time you get to them to fix it… its an npc that hits several locations at once and 2 servers can get several advantages from it while the one defending gets stroke by both in multiple locations.. the decision is :what are we giving up in order to save others.
- you mentioned 2 areas in a huge map considered goos for big fights…
So basically whenever we encounter enemy in other terrible areas you expect aides to pm each other and say" hey there.. plz stop hitting.. lets slowly move everyone to the southern area of the map.. i think that is a good sppt for us to fight.. and when we get there we fight.."
Sorry but that does not happen.. at leadt out of gvg scene..
You fight enemies where you see thembor you drag the fight somewhere IF there is a best location nearby.. a huge map with 2-4 locations is jist a fail concept…
For me and lots of other wvw players a wvw map doeant really need to be beautifull.. filled with events or shiny npcs or glitter..
Wvw map is like a paper that is blank. You write the stories that goes on there with fights and with the fun moments on TS that you had during those fights..
You even heard something like:
“Remember that day when we had a fight on that shiny keep.. wow the designs on those walls man..they were awesome. Did you notice the npc armor and weapon design?? Dang those were nice too.”
If you hear those.. trust me.. you are a PVE player.
Nothing against that.. but this was supposed to be a map focused on wvw community.
Add the glitter on the 4 new pve maps that are comming..
Wvw players commonly hear something like:
“Remeber that dayvwhen we were fighting server X and we stomped them even outnumbered?”
" remember that 45 minutes long fight we had inside Y server garri? Dang i got so many bags that i had to clear inv twice."
Those are the things we look for.. PLAYER FIGHTING PLAYERS.. not players fighting npcs or beaultifull locations..
Sure that a fancy design is nice and to improve the locations is cool but..
If you ask wvw players:
What you prefer? A better looking map with automatic events and automatic siege weapons used by npc OR a better server that can handle any fight at all and increase BL capacity to 100 for each server and know that there will not be skill lag. But in case you choose second scene the map will not be as fancy as the ones from scene A or will even be the same known maps from today..
I am sure wvw community would prefer better server than better design…
1 year and 6 months since the first bug on howler was reported.
1 year and 7 months since ANET replied to that report ( oh wait ^^ sarcasm )
lets see if they fix it before GW4 is launched.
And don’t forget about footprints..
On howler they are on 80% of the time almost extremely hard to notice.. and on the other 20% they are just not there at all.
The moon effect that once was implemented with the wolf is gone. It looked great and now is just not there.
The wolf effect when you use it vanidhes to fast and can barely be recognised by players.. they should last a bit longer and maybe get redesigned to actually look more similar to a wolf.
Depending on the situation if you are running it just look like a cloud of dust that came out of the horn.
The sound is just terribad.
Thats for warhorn in general.
Legendary could use a unique sound but all warhorns needs a new sound cause this is so bad

- huge map. This would be something positive if the servers could handle more players on a single BL. Right now if i am not mistaken only 80 per server may joon one Bl at a time.. that is 240 players. On a map like that you are going to completely eliminate big fights. And in not prime server time ppl gonna have hard time finding enemies so they will basically PVD just like it is done on EOTM.. you cap it all and don’t even see the enemy.
Right now server performance is so bad that the only thing that CAN’T happen on WvWvW is exactly that: 3 worlds fighting each other. If a single guild from each server decides to hit SMC/GARRI or any keep at the same time with 25-35 players each (not even a map blob. Just a guild + some pugs that randomly follow) everyone knows that this fight is going to be terrible for everyone. Most commanders avoid it. Skill lag is so hard that it’s not a matter of organization to win. It’s more about luck on skills goong out and enemies skills getting stuck on the lag fest.
Now add that same situation to a map with even more processing required.. elemental keeps with lords full of cc.. oasis hitting whole map.. and there you gonna have hard time fighting even 1world v 1world while the other is backflipping stuff..
- Mobs and events all over the place. Most areas where a decent fight could happen, they placed bunch of veteran mobs or struggle points or anything that can and will ruin the fight.
- keep lords and guards full of cc and making it ao that havoks are almost unable to flip stuff. There are several reports of 1 keep lord + 1 guard being able to wipe 5-10 man group because of auto siege dmg and to much cc. So again, more pve n less wvw. On current bls havocks help a lot to control the map and flip stuff that are not being scouted properly. On new map 2-5 players group is jist pointless.
-oasis event: if you are having a great fight and that freaking event starts you gotta automatically bail of the fight and run to that just to try and avoid anyone from taking it, because if they do.. the freaking cannon gonna kitten up all the work your server has done in the past hours. If you win every fight for 4 straight hours and cap stuff and than for a brief moment your forces go to bio or something and you lose the event..yay cannon gonna kitten you up…
- struggle points / ledges and things that break fights. Keeps has underground area… big ledges.. towers make enenies forced into struggle points and those situation that if you get pushed off = dead n no rally. Just like EOTM filled with ledges and bridges where you cant really fight cause any push back or fear = dead.
So yeah.. has nothing to do with EOTM.

I have one.. i play the game with no sound cause the howl sound is disgusting and i’m getting something shiny for my main hand weap to have the effects.
I wish i didn’t craft it.. but i found oit about it to late..
So what i do is just spread the issue around guild and friends so that they don’t get kitten like i did..
Wan’t a real advice? DO NOT WASTE TIME ON THIS..
If anything was going to be done about it one of two things would have happened already:
1- the issue would be fixed by now. It was first reported on march 2014.. helloooo we are on september 2015.. that is enough time to make ehole hot expansions since it isvreally poor xpack…
2- they would have said something official about it somewhere.. here, ingame, on announces or anywhere..
Like i said i sent the link from this thread to more then 3 devs on multiple occasions by PM. I bumped it whenever it left main page. I created another thread on bug report area and also kept that one on 1st page for over 10 days or so.. they read both.. since i got infractions for bumping to hard.. they deleted my posts too and i got more infractions for spam..
So not knowing..ia not the case.. not caring is the case here..

Ok.. you want ideas so here we go..
You claimed this was an event wherevguilds were going to come and mass recruit.. if you say something like that.. you gotta offer something for guild representatives to actually show up and recruit.
Now let’s take a look at the types of guilds and what they looking for:
1- WVW guild: basically gonna be hard to get thwir interest in a pve event but maybe and just maybe if you add some reward in the npc focused in wvw such as banners to bepurchased by tokens.. or upgraded siege weapons or anything like that so that the actually show up to farm those.
2-Role playing guilds: they look forward to the story behind the event.. why is it happening? Why there?? Why not somewhere else? Why now? How can we, the heroes of tyria help? Whats gonna happen if we fail? Where is the gathering forces??
Whats the plot??
3- farming guilds: theu want GOLD. So basically they look for means to make gold or aquire stuff to sell on TP for GOLD.. these guilds are easy to satisfy.. champ bags from champs.. loot from rest and some descent rewatd from npc will get their attention. Make a 0.000001% chance of a unique uber cool looking skin drop from the champs and BOOOM you guarantee your success right there..
4- casual guilds: they just want to have fun. Nothing in particular.. they looking for somwthing new.. not to hard… not to easy… but still rewarding so that they feel they are not wasting time…
5- hardcore guilds: they want to get every reward available on the event atvleast onevof each so they gonna play it over and over till they do it no matter what. They gonna use meta builds and tactics to achieve the goal..
6- pvx guild: they do a bit of everything so they dont commit to hard to anything. Still they look very similar to the casual ones but play more time daily.
As you see there are varioua types of guilds.. and you wanna make them show up..
So gather your team and design something worth it..
The wvw guilds will prolly be the hardeat one and wvwn thwy can understand it.. but the others… come on.. it is not rocket science.
Oh and let’s not forget, there are the NEW PLAYERS… who look for EXP AND LOOT to gear up their chars… so those stuff can not just go MIA
Otherwise new players also go somewhere else..
You make an event where players spend money wping like crazy and paying for rewards on npc up to 10g each after getting 0 copper from the whole event???
Not cool man.. at least if i was a new player i would rather farm gold than spend gold.
I would be thinking: i need exotic weapon right now… not a mawdrey… kittenhis im outta here…

Oh and the so annoumced " guilds will be recruing all over the place" yeah right.
1-Serious guilds will be telling newbplayers to leave the area and go farm ANYWHERE else since it is better rewarding.
2- troll guilds will be trolling elsewhere since anet trolled to kitten this event and they cant compete.
3- rp guilds will be elsewhere bexause thisvis a tag and run event with no story and no attachment to it…
4- farming guilds will be elsewhere cause there is noway to farm there.
So there is just no guilds involved..

By far… the worse event ever created by ANET.
Gameplay:
Boring as hell.
Exp: 0 yoi dont see you exp go up so you dont see a point on killing the mobs or champions or vets or anything at all.
Gold: 0 you dont earn any gold from mobs so again you dont see the point of killing anything.
Loot: 0 not even the champs drop loot bags. Nothing..
Lions arch event was great.. had an awesome reward system.
Scartlet invasion was an AWESOME EVENT very similar and still A MILLION TIMES BETTER. Why? Because when you give ppl loot and exp you give them a purpose. You give them a goal.
Now back to this “event”
The things you can BUY from npc since they are not rewards… you are LOSING MONEY in this event.
It would be ok if there was anything new and actually new on that npc… but nope.. you failed even at this.. added old stuff.. it is like if you had nothing to give players and than just got a bunch of old pieces of event.. put them together without caring and released.. few hours later noticed ot was bugged and not even the “rewards” were working and had to patch it over again..
For a moment during BWE where ppl are questioning decisions… prices and stuff being done…
Plz next time..take longer if needed.. but launch a descent event..

Took a brief look at the npc and deleted the blossoms.. never going back into it..

on hot with the new expecialization class berzerker coming most warriors gonna change their second hand weapon to a torch.
and all the other classes that uses warhorn are getting a new weapon as well..
this is their way of saying:
“wait? you considering not chainging into the new weapon set combo? well..think it over lol”

butnow im like: WHO CARESS…got an ascended weap chest..changed the stats of it to the one i want and to the hell with the skin..they gonna kitten up with it sooner or later too
If they makevit a one hit kill skill( which is obviously not the case) would still not be as useful as a properly landed stun on wvw organized raids.
Warriors were a extremely important class due to 2 things on big organized raids:
1- sword/warhorn condi cleanse which btw anet already ruined on one of the last patches making warhorn condi to boon conversion gone and range lower…
2- stun on hammer burst. A properly landed stun on the back line of the eneny raid could mean the victory of the fight due to postcomming aoe dmg from your backline.
Now they removed both builds..
Great job.. i can almost hear already commanders asking " if hammer warriors could plz swap to berserker that’d be great"
Ok so i was watching upcomming changes to warrior and found out that they are changing the stun effect on earthquake (hammer burst) to a knockback that pierces to 4 extra targets.
That, in my opinion is a huge nerf on organized raids.
Pre change: warrior goes in, land some dmg, tank some dmg and land a good aoe stun. After that eles/ necros/ ranger aoe finishes them while tgey are stunned.
After change: warrior goes in do some damage..tank some damage and land his burst pushing the enemies OUT of aoe area making everyone miss their skills and saving the enemy team.
Is it just me or they intentionally breaking hammer build to force us go torch and change to berserker???
I feel really frustrated with this upcomming change
for real?? the server comes up to t1 after what? 1 year of stacked up t1. and 12 hours later is already crying for double teamed??

you were the “NEW FIGURE” on t1.. everyone excpet you have been fighting each other for 1 year+… so they decided for at least some hours to go check your capabilities..
and you just proved it:
when you have something besides npcs to fight.. you gonna cry…
there was no double team at any time..there was some big fights and 3 way fights..and if you knew T1 from before you joined..you would know that 3 way fights just DIDN’T happen at all..
so please…grow up..get a pair of balls..and fight..stop crying…or destack and and move down a few tiers…
if you cant handle pressure..don’t step up to fight…
all i can say is..t1 yesterday was one of the most fun reset nights in a few months…
laughed hard plenty of times and had some 3 way fights..something that never happens when BG and JQ are on same tier…

I used to fight for this cause.
I really tried.
I created a different thread on bug report section and used to bump that one and this one everytime they left 1st page..
I got infractions multiple times for doing that..
I also sent private messages with links to both topics to 7 different ANET members on 5 ocasions.
I picked up the most active ones that were posting on forums daily and started pming them explaing and asking for feedback. Did that during 2 months and got no feedback..no answer…just more infractions.
Than i decided it was time to realize that if they did not answer after all that..but took the time to give me infractions…they read the topic and decided not to answer.. and that clearly means they don’t care.
So it is up to you guys.
Howler is what it is..
By far.. one of the worse combo (animation+ effects) in game.
No forecast to be fixed and apparently, after25/08 they proved us that things can get even worse.
So if you gonna craft it..do it for the stats and being able to change it the way you like whenever you like…AND THAT IS IT.
Forget everything cool about a legendary..
This is not the case.
Get a regular blue warhorn from lvl 20 mobs and it will have better animation and sound prolly.
Anet does not care.
It is time to deal with it already…i did. I use it.. muted my game sound no to hear that horn everytime i use itvand problem “solved”.
I decided not to waste more time with legendaries since anet doesnt care to fix bug on items that takes so long to be crafted

Wvw community has been asking for yhe exact same things for over 3 years already.
But anet does not care avout this game mode enough to listen.

Have you bothered to think why even on reset night queues are so small lately?? Prime time reset with barely queue or small ones..
There used to be huge ones..
Aside from reset nights there are queues once or maybe twice a day on 1 bl if you get someyhing huge going on there..if not..no queue at all…
Why is that??

Defending still means nothing.
Server still fails to handle 3 side way fights.
Balancing never existed..its done based on spvp and wvw players just gotta deal with it and move on with builds becomming op or just useless out of nowhere…

3.1- this was a great promise some time ago and still is..
The main “problem” with it might be the graphics being to high… mass pvps might cause low fps for great part of the community with low configurations..
So they having some hard time dealing with critics due to that.. you need high end pc to play it smoothly.. still rocks.

Legendary weapons bugged for 18 months and anet doenst even post about it.
Expantion comming… no game engine improvement mentioned on it or whatsoever…

Anet does the best they can. You can’t blame them for hardware that can’t handle all the data coming in. Servers have limitations and so does your mind.

lineage2 is a 10 or 11 years old game..
its the same game publisher NC soft..
and the game performance is a lot better. i played it during a looonnng time and never had any issue on HUGE MASS EVENTS..and i mean HUGE… lot bigger then anything even possible on GW2 due to map capacity imposed by ANET..
so again..we can blame ANET for releasing a game 3 years ago that cant handle mass events not even on the same level as a game do that is 11 years old and is from the same publisher..
and the worst part??
there is not even a sign of improvement on the near future…
just distractions with fancy features and stuff on the “xpack” but improving whats broken?? no sir…
yep.. i haven’t been around lately..
i quitted on first quarter 2015… i decided i had enough stress working to come home and get even more stressed trying to play wvw and doing world bosses (those are the only 2 things i like in gw2 anyway)
skill lag was ridiculous..
from that moment further i log in twice a month to check how is the lag and find out nothing changed after 30 mins playing..than i get bored and dc again..
and so i am basically just reading forums hoping for a miracle to one day come to find out that ANET finally woke up and decided to improve the game performance for once..
but that day is not today i guess.
10-15 years old games have better performance when dealing with mass events then gw2 right now..
ppl keep saying: they are working on it..
but they say this for 2 years already..
and the only idea that came out of that period of work was to lower cap on maps and borderlands..
im sorry but if i had a big issue like this on my job and had to fix it or come with an idea and the only idea i gave was: lets lower the ammount of customers that are able to go inside .. i would be fired lonnnnnng ago..
AND THE SERVER PERFORMANCE IS REALLLLLLLLYYY BAD right now..you forgot that.
cant pvp in any large scale without getting stomped by skill lag..

go to any garrison capture on t1 NA..
skill lag will be there..believe it..
its like a new feature..
fighting against 2 servers was to easy..
so they decided to add a skill lag variable to the plot..
now you gotta fight 2 servers without knowing what is actually going on..so you use your imagination to imagine the cooldowns and hit the skills on the exact moment that they would be available if you were able to use them in the first place.. and you keep running and running doing that.. till eventually 1 side skill lag is over and the skills get “released” and they smash everyone else..cause the rest is still skill freezed…

did anything get mentioned about performance updates??
i was reading some pages here n there and couldnt find any ANET mentioning it..
if there is nothing about that on the xpack, it is certainly NOT worth it.
You go to any crowded area : wvw t1 zerg fights, world bosses on crowded server and boomm..fps goes to ashes and skill lag takes over.
and it is not my pc since the whole server is screaming in chat about it…
its this crappy server performance that never got any update till now,, and apparently wont get any time soon

If the price were $05 instead of $50 it would still be to much.
Since the game turned into a freaking skill lag festival anytime mass events take place and the only solution they can think of is to decrease the player cap per server..than any price at all being charged is just overpricing it.
If you can’t provide a descent server that can handle the game..you just do not deserve any player support or community money..

Apparently their way of fixing this is to let less ppl play. So theyvhave smaller encounters.
WvWvW just got a reduce on player cap per borderland.
Cause that is the proper way of fixing things..
You just dont improve your server… you lwt it as it is and make changes so that it is impossible for mass events to take place.
I guess next move ia to decrease the player cap on PVE megaservers.
And than ppl wont be able to do WB with guildies or guild missions cause of server cap.
This is so freaking stupid.. this game was supposed to be an MMO bit instead it is turning into a regular multiplayer..
And yet..they just dont talk about the problem..
Why?
1- they dont care. We already purchased the core game.
2- fixing this type of bug would not help sell more xpack copies. At least not as many as adding few fancy stuff and features that hide the problem.
3- new players dont know about the problem yet cause they are not experiencing it since they still didnt play the game.
So.. just deal with it.. for everyone who purchased gw2 to play WvWvW or mass events, sorry to tell you but…you just got kitten same way i did.
It is time to look for a new game!

Worse part is like the other hundreds of topics about the very same subject, this one gonna have 0 answrr from dev/staff and will be plqced on a sife note so that later can be caeefully placed below the carpet that is the xpack.
The plan is to throw some random stuff in the news to keep us busy and focus our attention on the features and cosmetic side of the xpack. This way many players will pay for the xpack anf when they realize ingame that the game is unplayable.. guess what??
Who cares.. you already purchased the xpack…weeeeee. it is party time…

They are busy havi discussions on if dragonhunter is a proper name for ghe class and if glinder skins are cool enough to take the time to answer to serious issues like this.
Just like legendary weapons that are bugged for 1.5 years and has 0 answer from ANET.
I remember when i got temporarly banned from forum for spamming to kitten a topic about legendary weapons bugged.
They took the time to see i was spamming… punished me.. but still didn’t add a single comment about the issue. That is how much they care for us after we pay for the game.
Sorry if i am frustrated.. but that is what happens when you completely ignore your problems and try to fool us with some fancy new features while the core game performace is miles away from the acceptable..
it is terrible right now.. really.
WvW primetime is unplayable..
you must avoid crowded areas to be able to play.
that is not the way anyone should play a MMO.
for gods sake fix your server..improve performance..forget about adding professions…maps..skills anything..
first things first..
fix what you have..then bring something new to the table.
if you add more stuff to an already bad server.. you gonna make it even worse..
that is what you have been doing till now.. and guess what?? it is not working.
