Go ahead and add Race Change in here too please
+1
I agree with this. The thing I’m at is this, Being a ranger I have traits which adds to my condition damage, and armor which stacks more. Where is that +Condition Damage going? How does it stack .. If I have highest +Condition Damage is that stack going to replace one of the lower ones when they max out(in the current system). Your suggestion fixes both of these issues.
Every class should have that many options.
I never saw any word about no dual classes. Many things were said in development and were changed, that’s that. But what I’m stuck at is the restrictions of the weapon’s current skill set up. I’m suggesting a modified dual-class system that would expand the skill choices of each weapon.
Any other thoughts ?
This is already a mechanic in the game?? It’s the “delete” button in character screen. Why would you wana pay for it ?
I want my ritualistic back !
Your going to overflow because the area you are entering is too populated , they aren’t making you go to over flow because they want to add another step. Higher level areas are not as populated therefore no overflow .

I really like this idea right now boss fights seem very DAMAGE … ( que boss attack ) ROLL .. Recycle
I feel they need more responsiveness to what’s going on if more damage is from melee then the boss responds with more melee attacks if more damage is coming from range more range attacks.
@steven, Lol your thread got shut down.
GW1 Vet and Ex WoW player
1. ANet already released a quote saying they will not be giving you a mount to ride Quest to Quest and Waypoint to Waypoint as it diminishes the overall size of the area because of the increased speed you are moving.
2. Diminishes size of WvW maps, and imbalances Mounted players vs Unmounted, and overall movement of the game because if we had mounts flanking and using tactics in WvW would be a lot easier to combat.
3. Cosmetic ONLY
@vonBoomslang, I feel like the current system is dry, and easily boring.
Adaptions FROM the old system to a new system to keep everything balanced.
-You MUST take the corresponding slot skill Slot 1:Slot 1
-Possibly no utility skills ?
-No Secondary Profession traits.
-Limited to PvE/WvW, while keeping sPvP structured, wholesome, balanced tourney style PvP
I feel it creates more Combinations/Playability while reducing balancing issues
I know a lot of you Guild Wars 1 vets out there we’re confused when you got to 80 and you’re like OKAY, Where is my 2nd class now?
Dual-Class system was something that was in Guild Wars 1 and personally one of my favorite features of Guild Wars. It allowed for a ton of customization, and overall just more fun as you never got bored with a character, and when you did you simply changed your secondary and tried something new.
With the weapon skills being set Guild Wars 2 has a very set class feel that becomes boring fast. While I do find myself switching my build up often this is my suggestion.
Allow for a Dual-Class system, Keeping weapon skills locked but allowing to switch for your Secondary profession’s skill.
Ex. Ranger/Warrior wielding a Longbow.
Weapon Slot 1. Long Range Shot® or Dual Shot(W)
Weapon Slot 2. Rapid Fire® or Fan of Fire(W)
(and so on)
Also this could allow a Ranger/Thief to use pistols or a Ranger/Warrior to use a hammer.
Characters would get Traits from your PRIMARY profession similar to Guild Wars 1.
This would allow for a whole new play on each profession. Allowing you to set up a all kinds of new builds on your weapon, and expanding the game play.
What would remain the same would be each professions unique ability. Rangers will keep their pets, and the Thief will still be the only one allowed to stealth/steal. Mesmers will retain their ability to shatter their illusions while a W/Me will still be able to summon one. Some thoughts on how Elementalist will be incorporated is still open. Increasing casting time of Ele skills in Non-Ele or reducing efficiency?
This could go even farther into Utility skills as well or just restricted to Weapon skills.
Changes to WvW
-No Restrictions / Changes
Changes to sPvP
-Only allow Weapon/Utility Skills from Primary Class.
I will accept mounts on 1 CONDITION. Cosmetic Only.
I totally agree .. I LOVE CTF!
I’m having the same issue. My opinion. Allow us to swap to “Efficient spell display” shows a colored circle corresponding to Friendly or Foe (omg the game already does that :P ) and use an Icon above it corresponding color to show what is happening in said AOE.
It was in Guild Wars 1. And was one of my favorite features .. I just made a thread about it on the Suggestions page. Check it out.

That is the point of conditions.
I followed the path laid by WoW on price. Seemed pricey but slightly fair, considering I don’t know much about coding but I bet this takes some effort. And its a one time purchase game so I’m not worried about giving Anet a little extra to show them they did a good job.
Bring back dual-class system .. allow the use of skills from BOTH classes to be slotted out ( so basically you get an either/or ) in each slot.
EX. Ranger/Warrior
Longbow Skill 1. Long Range Shot® or Dual Shot(W)
NOT 1. Long Range Shot® or (Any other not slot 1 skill)
Possibly opens up use of more items
Ex. Ranger/Thief could use pistols
Ex2.Ranger/Warrior could use hammer
Follows more along the lines of tradition Guild Wars
Allows for more options, while keeping the game in balance, you wont be seeing a Ranger/Warrior with the same traits as a Warrior, or running around in heavy armor.
Okay so I’ll admit .. I personally HATE playing a character that looks ugly, and am guilty of creating my characters too quick because I was just so anxious to get into some play during the early access that I didn’t think my choices threw… So this is what I’m proposing…
Race Change ( 1200Gems)
-Consumable (Tonic/Ale)
- Bumps Character out to Race select screen, allows for Race select, and Character customization. SKIPS profession.
-Racial skills LOST. No refunds for Skill Points. ( Seeing as there is no current skill point reset this shouldn’t be a way to get one either. You’ll have to earn them back leveling 80+)
-Storyline OPT A. (Tonic) Somewhere along the lines of "Drank a tonic which has had permanent effects. "
-Storyline OPT B. (Ale) (Character gets drunk from ale and blacks out), Waking up “I had the weirdest dream I was a (Insert previous race here), And I (insert racial choice here. Ex. was a blood legion soldier), Thankfully it was only a dream.”
-Storyline OPT C. (?) ???
Character Re-customization(800Gems)
-Consumable Item ( Tonic )
-Bumps character into character customization.
-Storyline Opt A. " Haircut, Shave, and Tuck "
-Storyline Opt B. " That tonic was permanent"
Name Change(400Gems)
-Consumable Item ( Document )
-Name change template for pets
Thoughts?
Grammar, Spelling? Effects or Affects?? ( sorry no English major here.)
