Suggestion:
Leave the Dungeon Tokens as they are. (Item ID, Icon Style, Droprate, Max Stack Amount, Accountwide)
But make them useable, just like Karma Potions and handle Dungeon Currencies like Karma.
That way you would fill up your inventory/bank with them if you want to save them for future alts.
But if you farm for that very character you could just spend them to increase the Token amount on that char without having the possibility to get them back.

Please no, don’t do that! Dungeon tokens should stay account-wide, not become like karma potions to be used on specific characters. Dungeon tokens can’t be used on anywhere near as many things as karma, so there’s not much point to have extra tokens left over on a specific character.

As far as Badges of Honor being required for crafting legendaries, maybe a new item could be added that you can buy with so many Badges of Honor and so many of that item would be required to craft a legendary (maybe this new item could even be used to make other things, as well). This way Badges of Honor would not be directly needed for the mystic forge.

Maybe limit boss chests to one per day per event, across all servers. So, in other words, you can get a boss chest on any server, but can’t then get the same boss chest on another server. That way regardless of which world people play on, they can only get boss chests once per day, but can do them with their friends and guild. This might require a bit of work on ArenaNet’s part but I feel it’s the best solution.

But please do NOT take out guesting!

It sounds like you’re complaining that it’s no longer easy to get gold. Which is exactly what they wanted…it’s not supposed to be extremely easy to get money. And if you’re doing every single boss multiple times a day, that sure seems to me like your farming them, which considering the number of bosses that they’ve added is still quite a lot of loot. What I really find interesting is that you’re complaining there are too many people at boss events, but you want boss chests to appear multiple times per day (so you can farm them) which would only increase the number of people at each boss event.

Also as a previous person said, don’t blame ArenaNet for your guild splitting up, it’s not they’re fault. As that person suggested, maybe your guild should start doing more things as a guild. My guild doesn’t have that problem and we’re a pretty big guild, but we do things as a guild on a regular basis.

We need a less hippy legendary bow

Just be patient, I imagine they will be adding more legendary weapons, eventually. But with all the other stuff that they have to work on, it might be a while. There aren’t too many people that can’t afford to get legendary weapons yet (myself included), so it’s probably not at the top of their to-do list. At the very least, they won’t be adding more legendary weapons till after they finish making all types of ascended gear (which they’re currently working on).

Bring back FREE world transfers

Free server transfers like they had are definitely gone and should probably stay that way. However, maybe allowing 1 server transfer per account every 3-6 months might not be a bad thing. That would likely still keep server populations pretty stable, but would slightly allow people to resettle. Or maybe a reduced cost for server transfers, cause 30 gold is a heck of a lot of money (it’s certainly not attainable for the casual player).

Improve Southsun Cove or get rid of it

As it is, it feels very empty and unfinished. There are almost no events or waypoints and absolutely no renown hearts, points of interest, or vistas in Southsun Cove. There is also very little enemy variety, with the vast majority being karka. Furthermore, the karka are too over-powered…I find it really hard to survive there on my own, because I’m lucky if I survive a battle with two karka at once and heaven forbid I encounter a veteran karka (even if it’s all alone; death is assured if I do). Almost nobody goes there, unless they need karka shells or passion fruit/flowers and not many people try for karka shells cause they’re so hard to get (mostly because the karka are so tough).

Either destroy it, improve it, or redo it. Maybe a catastrophic in-game event could reshape the island into a new area. Or maybe an in-game event where the Lionguard establish a more pronounced presence there (maybe a base or outpost to hold back the risen and/or the underwater dragon and its minions).

Also, having passion fruit/flowers in more areas (rather than just Southsun Cove) would be nice. I could easily see it being harvested in Southsun Cove and shipped to other areas as a commodity. Then it might take root in the soil of similar climates when people throw away the seeds and rinds and the pollen of the passion flowers could be carried there on the wind (like to Orr or the Maguuma Jungle) or on the clothes of the sailors transporting them. Yes, even Orr might get a commodity like passion fruit (it is from an island nearby and there are pact soldiers there that need to eat; especially at Fort Trinity).

As for karka shells, they aren’t used for much right now, but I don’t know how people would feel about them no longer being available, but can’t karka swim? (they came out of the water at Lion’s Arch when they attacked during the Lost Shores event) Maybe they could be moved to the surrounding waters as well.

I’ve been waiting for this for a while. I imagine they’re going to add it eventually, but it really would be useful, and would help them make more money if people are avoiding buying costumes and such because of a lack of storage.

+1 to limited time free trials, with as few restrictions as possible. If you want someone to like a game, don’t cripple their experience with lots of limitations. The way Guild Wars 1 did the free trial was great and I think Guild Wars 2 should do it similarly.

Solving 100% completion problem

Or just do what everyone else has done, wait for the weekly server update, keep your fingers crossed for the right color and then explore as much as you can.
It took me about 2 months to get the last 4%, because my server just did not get the Blue color.
If ANET were to allow some sort of neutrality/white flag now for WvW exploration, then they might as well just remove it as a requirement.

What he said…this white flag idea would just completely defeat the whole purpose of WvW exploration being required for world completion. The same goes for a separate, PvE instance of the WvW areas.

Largos must be a new race

It would be neat to have an underwater race, like the Largos, with an underwater capitol city. However, this would mean more underwater weapons would have to be added (to add more skill variety), considering there would be a lot more underwater combat. Although, this goes along with the idea that underwater combat shouldn’t be an afterthought, but rather just as important as land-based combat.

I’m not sure if the Largos specifically should be offered as a playable race or kept as an NPC race. Personally I think it would depend on how they are implemented and the way their culture and lore are developed, as well as how they are introduced as a whole in the future. We don’t currently know much about the Largos, so there’s a lot of room and flexibility for ArenaNet to go either way with them. If the Largos were to be added as a playable race, their design would definitely have to be polished and variety added to their appearance. I also agree with an earlier suggestion that their wings be folded and become unobtrusive while they’re on land. Their lore and culture would obviously also have to be considerably improved upon and fleshed out. Regardless, to become a playable race, the Largos would need to have a lot of work done to them. Personally, I would love to see more of the Largos in the future, either as a playable or NPC race.

Yes, please! WvW badges and dungeon tokens take up way too much space in my bank and I don’t think 1 collectible spot for each is going to cut it, because players usually end up getting a lot more than 250. I don’t even do dungeons very often and I’ve already got more than 250 of 3 types of dungeon tokens. Plus, considering you would need over 5 stacks of a specific type of dungeon token for full armor from that dungeon…it adds up.

Eternity: Working as intended?

I would have to disagree, I think Sunrise and Twilight both look awesome and from what I’ve heard, Eternity is basically a combination of the two. Also, I think it looks good the way it is now, from the little I’ve seen of it.

New Race Idea List

I think the most likely new playable races will be Tengu and Kodan and I would not mind seeing either of these races as playable.

The Tengu are already pretty much set up to become playable, with a starter city (situated near a starter area), a lot of previous lore allowing for quite a bit of depth, a tendency to pursue various professions, lots of customization options, and a very good reason to join the other major races in the fight against the elder dragons (we know they’re already being attacked by Primordus and they’re right next to LA, which means they’re prime targets for Zhaitan and Bubbles, as well).

The Kodan would obviously need a lot more customization possibilities but, considering they’re still pretty new and we haven’t seen TOO much of them, it’s very possible for there to be quite a bit of variety. Plus as was mentioned in a previous post, the Tengu basically used all the same model in Guild Wars 1 but there has been a lot of variety added for them in Guild Wars 2, so why can’t the Kodan have variety added as well. The Kodan also have a lot of untapped story-line potential, a tendency to pursue various professions, and are just as oppressed by Jormag as the Norn, if not more-so (so they would have a very good reason to join in the fight against the elder dragons).

Centaurs would be a neat player race (with the introduction of a friendly Veldrunner tribe), but they present too many technical difficulties, like armor re-skins, animations (like Death Blossom and Whirlwind), underwater combat (can you imagine a horse swimming underwater? I guess this is more of a practicality problem, though), and centaurs doing jumping puzzles (talk about awkward looking). Plus, the lore of the game just doesn’t support centaurs becoming a playable race. Unfortunately, even with the introduction of a friendly Veldrunner tribe, there likely wouldn’t be enough of an increase in friendly centaurs to justify a large number of centaur players running around the map (which would kill game immersion). I just don’t see centaurs as a playable race, ever in Guild Wars 2…though I agree it would be neat to play as one.

As for the Largos, I’m honestly not sure if they should become a playable race or not. I suppose they could go either way, it largely depends on what we learn about them in the future. So far, the little I’ve learned about their culture suggests that they would make awesome thieves, but I just can’t see them as necromancers, engineers, or elementalists. Their society seems to highly value stealth, precision of execution, physical prowess, and the lone wolf mentality (which just doesn’t fit with some professions). Of course, I have to admit, I was surprised at the addition of spell-casting Norns (in Guild Wars 1, Norns always seemed to highly value physical prowess and looked down on most spell-casting as weak). So, maybe with the introduction of difficult times (like Bubbles attacking the Largos, just as with Jormag attacking the Norn), they’ve become more open-minded about certain professions and seen them as more useful than previously.

As for new races introduced with Cantha, all non-human races were pushed out of Cantha shortly after the time period of Guild Wars 1, according to the Guild Wars 2 wiki. (Guild Wars 2 Wiki: Cantha)

…in 1127 AE, when Kisu’s successor, Emperor Usoku, raised the Canthan military by spending millions in gold and conquered the still-warring vassal states of the Luxons and Kurzicks, forcing them fully into the empire once more. With this done, he then drove out all non-humans and closed the borders to Cantha.

So, obviously, there are only humans left in Cantha (that’s not to say there won’t be an expansion for Cantha; the borders can always be re-opened, but there won’t be any new races introduced there).

Color blind gamer: Issues seeing red circles

I made a similar suggestion a while ago; I’m not color-blind, but a friend of mine is. Not only are AoE circles a problem if you have red/green color-blindness, but you also can’t see your health, ally and enemy name-tags, the red target above an enemy’s head when a target is called out, and I’m sure there are other things as well.

Merchant outside of every dungeon

I always have a lot of loot and sometimes need another salvage kit when I finish a dungeon. Sometimes I like to do more than one dungeon run at a time, so it would be very convenient to have a merchant right outside of every dungeon, where loot could be sold and salvage kits and other stuff could be bought. Otherwise, I occasionally have to go all the way back to town and then come back to the dungeon entrance again, which is very inconvenient.

Mystic Forge recipe for Transmutation Stones

I have a lot of Basic Transmutation Stones, but I never use them. I do however occasionally use Fine Transmutation Stones, so I’ve been thinking that it would be cool to have a Mystic Forge recipe to upgrade Basic Transmutation Stones to Fine Transmutation Stones.

Turn off invulnerability when underwater!

There’s never gonna be a situation where the enemy NPC can’t reach the player, if they’re both underwater, since the enemy can go any direction they need to when underwater. So please turn off invulnerability when players are underwater and fighting underwater enemies. If someone tries fighting land based enemies from underwater or vice-versa, that’s a different story, since there are some terrestrial-only enemies and aquatic-only enemies. But when enemies go invulnerable, underwater, for no reason, it gets very annoying and frustrating. So please turn off invulnerability when both combatants are underwater.

Color-blindness support options

I have a friend that is color-blind and there are many important things in the game that she can’t see, like red AoE circles, her health, certain entire dungeons (like Citadel of Flame), etc. This obviously makes the game difficult for her to play and I think it would be a lot more enjoyable for color-blind people if there were support options for color-blindness. She’s red-green color-blind, but I know there are people who are blue-yellow color-blind, so an option for both of these would be useful.

Show fellow guild-mates on the map

I like how when you’re in a party, you can see your party members as little blue dots on the map. A guild-mate of mine suggested that you should be able to see fellow guild-mates on the map in the same way (like as little gold dots). I personally think this would be an awesome feature! Imagine you’re exploring in an area and you notice a gold dot nearby on your map, you might decide to meet up with them and do stuff together. Or imagine your guild is getting a bunch of people together to do an event, some mapping, WvW, or some other bit of fun.

Please remove the “Kick from guild” option from the menu that pops up when right-clicking on their portrait in party or name in chat. I’ve accidentally kicked someone from my guild when trying to kick them from party and it’s very embarrassing and I felt really bad about it. If you were only able to “Kick from guild” via the guild roster, it would solve this issue.

Make Skritt playable.

The Kodan or Tengu would be cool as a player race. Also I’ve heard there’s supposedly a new race introduced at the end of the personal story.

Rewatchable Cinematics

I would love to see a “Watch Cinematic” button in the synopsis of each mission in the “My Story” tab on the “Hero” page. There have been times where I was distracted from or couldn’t hear the cinematic (like when someone is talking close by or on Skype, Ventrilo, Teamspeak, etc.) or at least part of the cinematic and wish I could rewatch it. Of course, with missions that have more than one cinematic, there would have to be more than one button or maybe just separate them with visual and auditory cues.

Another option would be to replay the mission (that would also be a good idea), which I saw someone mention somewhere else (but I can’t find the post again).

Make jumping puzzles less frustrating

Yeah, the puzzle in the sky of Metrica Province already has checkpoints, which reset after a while (not sure how long, but easily long enough to finish the puzzle; I know they reset cause I’ve done a similar one twice). Like drwookie said, just talk to the little robots and they will teleport you to any station you’ve already been to.

About not letting players die, I agree it does get a little upsetting to have to pay money when you die (and bringing a friend doesn’t solve all the problems . . . sometimes they can’t reach you). Paying to return to a waypoint and then having to repair your armor if you died from something other than fall damage (like if you fall into lava that you can’t get out of . . . like Spekk’s Lab [but there’s an easy work-around for that: take off your armor when doing the jumping]). However, unless you die excessively, this shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Preview Trading Post items...

Yep… Having the possibility to preview the items is something needed, and also, link the items from the trading post in chat.

And concerning to the Trading Post filters, you should add:
- dye filter: to show only dyes in auction house. for those who wants a new dye but dont know exactly wich one. Also, adding a dye preview like in the character sheet for building a colorful set and see how the color feels , would be something awesome. This is necesary because you can’t buy a dye based on how its icon is. Each dye seems different in each armor

- Skin filter: In this game, there are thousands of items with the same visual skin. Adding a filter to show only unique skins, and the cheapest item of each skin. This is usefull when you are looking in the trading post for a new visual on your character for using transmutation stones

Yes! I completely agree! We definitely should be able to preview weapons and armor from the trading post, because there’s no way to know what it’ll look like before you buy it. The ability to show it in chat would be very cool, too. A dye preview would also be very useful, both in inventory and in the trading post. A dye preview option in inventory would allow you to preview it before deciding if you want to use it on that character . . . and previewing it in the trading post before buying it would also be useful. A skin filter also sounds useful.

Makeover/Extreme Makeover + Name Changer

I whole-heartedly agree . . . we need a name-changer! An appearance-changer and sex-changer would also be useful. Of course these would probably all cost gems to do, which would very likely prevent abuse. And I don’t see how a race changer would work, unless you changed your storyline as well, but then you’d have to start over on your storyline.

Add rare crafting materials to the collections tab

I keep finding rare crafting materials and either can’t or don’t want to use them right away, so they sit in my bank and do nothing but take up space. Also, when I do craft I have to actually take them out of the bank, where-as the other stuff I don’t (minor inconvenience) and it’s possible for me to forget I have them (especially when they’re mixed in with all my other bank stuff). So, I’m finding it would be really handy to have a spot for them in the collections tab, with all the other crafting materials.

Overflow districts and switching between them

Players should be able to choose to enter a different overflow or enter a specific overflow from their home world (like if their friend is in overflow). Just like Districts in Guild Wars 1, but with overflows; just dynamically number the overflows and add an option to switch to a different overflow. I think this would allow players to meet up with friends in overflow a lot easier. I’ve actually gone back and forth through a portal, in order to get into the same overflow as a friend and seen friends do it, so people are already switching overflows…but it would be nice if ArenaNet could facilitate it. I honestly don’t think people would even care that they would have to be entered into the end of another queue, as long as they could meet up with friends. Also, maybe keep US and European overflows separate, but still give players the option to change to a European overflow from a US overflow and vice-versa, just like with Districts in Guild Wars 1.
