at some point between the second boss and the bridge disappearing segments of Twilight Arbor’s story mode, Caithe just disappeared. because she’s not there, we couldn’t deliver the ingredients to her. after scouting every inch of the map for her, we tried wiping our party, but it didn’t work, so we were stuck.
another bug/exploit we found is that there’s a very low branch near the water fountain in that room that you can climb on, and that leads to the explorable parts of the map, and also allows you to skip the bridge step entirely if you’re good at platforming and have a speed boost.
during the “Lead explorers safely out of Flooded Castavall” event on the bloodtide coast, there’s an area that is spawning more risen dead than any group could possibly kill, much less a person alone. there are so many mobs that half of them aren’t even rendered by the game until they’re already hitting you.
and there’s nothing that justifies that amount of mobs. there is no big amount of players anywhere. there are at least 20 more mobs on the area of the screenshot, just out of the screen, and at least 20 others swimming around the same section of the cave (which is already small enough without having more zombies than water).
it’s been always like that, it’s accurate, not broken. you have to see the full set to put it into perspective.
what annoys me though is that both heavy and light armor sold by the heart vendors are unique, but medium tier armor is just the armor you get from doing your quests, or from enemy drops.
well i said it’s not a major exploit, but exploits are exploits, i shouldn’t have access to that skill (as much as i’d want to, since i went for an air/earth ele) until later in the game.
i wanted to try out some weapon combinations before sticking to one for PvE with my elementalist, so i headed to the mists.
after finding a set i was satisfied with, i left the mists, attuned to earth. when i was put back into PvE, i was still attuned to earth, with my level 2 character (who obviously doesn’t have access to it yet).
now it’s not exactly a major exploit, but it’s still a way to go around the game’s original design and get access to locked content you shouldn’t have yet.
it’s probably a bug, but at the same time, it’s a really nice idea that could turn into a feature, like cancels in fighting games :P
I think the devs decided it was too easy to obtain since all you really needed was the keys so they removed the loot.
and instead of removing the chest and random door opening (which only opens after you play a specific music), they just removed the loot to make people feel cheated? if there was no door and no loot, people would consider it just a toy, mess with it and leave. but there’s clearly a treasure chest there, and there are other pipe organs in the world that trigger treasure chests once you play their respective secret tunes.
so no, i don’t think the devs thought it was too easy, removed the loot from the chest and called it a day.
the title pretty much says it all. i found the pipe organ hidden in ebonhawke, and after successfully playing the song, the door opened, revealing a treasure chest.
problem is, the chest was already opened, and i couldn’t interact with it to get any items.
i can’t seem to preview any items on the trading post. that’s the main thing keeping me from buying armor from it, and even dyes (a dye might seem good/bad until you try it out).
the preview option should be implemented on the trading post ASAP.
and there aren’t any ways of searching for armor specifically to your class, which is rather silly. why would i want to browse through pages of light armor to find a few medium armors?
it just feels kinda silly to have the option to login on the main site, then when you finally remember where the forums tab is (protip: not on any of the drop down menus, it’s those little letters hidden above the logo. should probably go down the community menu or something, maybe have its own menu), you have to login, again.
and if you close the browser, then you’ll have to login, AGAIN.
a “remember me” option is default on every place you can login, ever, but what annoys me is the apparent lack of a unified login for the main site and the forums. is that intentional, a bug, or an overlook?
my asura friend has this problem, i keep hearing his char screaming whenever we jump down, and the scream goes on even after we’re on the ground and running (even if the fall was really small).
my solution is to just cut the scream short as soon as the character touches the ground again, and make it only trigger after about half a second of falling.
the worst part is that i don’t remember it being like this in the betas at all, so it feels like they added that change for the worse intentionally.
Camera issues have been there and reported since at least Beta3.
that’s the point. i played beta 1 and 2 and don’t recall those issues. i missed beta 3, but showed up for the stress tests later on, and the camera just felt worse.
it’s like they’re worried i’ll lose my character if a certain object gets in front of it, so the camera glitches its way through everything to make sure it doesn’t happen, and ironically, it becomes even harder to know where your character is.
it also happens with mobs. that bridge event in kessex hills is the worst offender. every time i pass by it, i see an entire squad of centaurs materialize in front of me, scream and die.
It’s deliberate. You pay more to look exotic while both normal and exotic sets are the same stat wise.
first mistake: they’re not the same stat-wise. exotic items have better stats.
second mistake: the exotic version is only available for level 80 characters, so no one but them can look good. unless you want to run a dungeon 12 times per piece, then buy a bunch of level 80 transmutation stones to put a cool skin on your lame armor.
and last but not least, it’s THE FREAKING PIRATE ARMOR, which drops by itself in normal PvE. why would i ever spend tokens on the non-exotic dungeon armor, which doesn’t have amazing stats or looks, if i can just get the looks from a mid-level armor and the stats from any other armor?
the camera in its current state is completely and utterly broken, and is unviable in any small environments, and even worse for any kind of platforming, especially considering that your movement speed isn’t the same in all directions.
the worst part is that i don’t remember it being like this in the betas at all, so it feels like they added that change for the worse intentionally.
Changed for the betterment of the community and working as intended. The same for items that are Soulbound. Think about what you are asking for a second…
i did think. soulbound items can be sold on merchants or salvaged for materials. karma items can’t.
i’m not asking for the option to sell on the trading post. i’m asking for the option to get something back out of my karma item once it’s served its purpose.
it’s not even a unique “for every dungeon” armor set, it’s just the pirate set with a different name.
and the unique skin is limited to the level 80, “70 runs per armor” version of it. there’s having a long term goal, and then there’s grinding the same dungeon nonstop for weeks.
is this because of that exploit that happened last week? because it’s really punishing when i get a new weapon and my old karma weapon becomes a paperweight. can’t salvage it for materials, can’t sell for some money, all i can do is destroy it.
will we ever be able to sell/salvage karma items again?
i think the problem is that the heartseeker’s range icon is broken. it says you’re in range about 100 units before you actually are, and yeah it often misses great distance leaps against moving targets even if you land right next to them (and obviously in range).
ascalonian catacombs story: in the intro, there is no lip-sync for rytlock. he just opens and closes his jaw at random, like a bad puppet, and spends most of his time with his mouth hanging open.
also, please tell me that all dungeon armors being just the pirate set is a glitch.
to be more specific, they’re the swindler pants. rather odd, yeah.
