Finishers keep getting reset to default

This bug is realy getting anoying, we spend gems on permanent finishers, and it is a pain in the butt when it keeps resetting, just because it feels like it.

Put a kitten lock option on finisher, so you can lock the finisher you want, and so that it wont reset even though you change the bloody shoes/weapon/dye or even add another finisher.

It is getting realy annoying when you add a fix for something that dont fixing and add several bugs at the same time, i mean realy. Almost each patch is 1 step forward and 2 steps back regarding bugs.

Was about to craft Gift of lightning and the Gift of ascalon dont show up in forge (pic attached)
Also the Gift of Metal is bugged, only able to combine the Mithril ingot with 1 other ingot then it darkens out the other 2 required.

Ornate backpack bug

Just finished crafting all the new backpacks for the wife, and put it in her bank, 30 minutes later all the Ornate exotic level 60 backpacks was downgraded to the level 45 rare.
This is just another anoying bug with this patch.
While it is only 5-10 gold you loose it is still very annoying, and should not happen.

New story rewards

Wife and i just did a few story runs to see the changes, and we are not happy.

Story can no longer be started above your level, so that ensures that Anet is holding your hand all the way, and making sure it dont get to hard, god forbids if it becomes a challenge.

Rewards: Mobs no longer drops anything, so no need to kill them, just rush trough to get to your rewards, that are even more disapointing, the 3 blue bags containing “junk” + a souldbound items every now and then.

In short: Anet makes sure story are no longer any challange and you dont get any loot worthwile for doing it.

Just the opposite. This is from the article about Personal Story…

“We’ve also taken this opportunity to go back and reevaluate the rewards of each of the major story chapters. We’ve done some pretty major overhauls to make the rewards for completing chapters feel much more compelling than they were in the past. Personal story chapters will absolutely be worth completing for your character as you progress. Similar to level-up rewards, we won’t be able to retroactively apply these to current level 80 characters, but all future characters you create or level up to 80 will benefit from this system.”

Missed that one, the fear about keyfarming going away from alot of people made me belive that they maybe wanted to remove story rewards all together to make it level based. Thanks all for the quick responces and i can enjoy the game again without fearing rewards going away

The question is: Are the story rewards being removed to make room for the level rewards with this upcomming patch ?
Reason for consern: I have used 34 out of my 43 charater slots and 31 of them are all level 80, BUT only 5 have completed the whole story and gotten the rewards for it. So i am wondering if some of us veterans are in a hurry to get our story rewards or if they will still be available after the september patch, since i recall reading something about the rewards not being given to charaters already level 80.

Fast answer would be helpfull since it is a lot of hours or booring grinding to do the storys and get our rewards (some are good enough) and the wife and i usualy only do them when we feel like it.

Quite sure it was only those 3 story missions that gives trait, it is however very disapointing that the only response we have gotten is pretty much “you are doing something wrong” considering the evidence of it being a repeatable bug, and by being able to replicate the bug it is not likely that we are doing it wrong (video attached in one of my post above, showing that all is done correct).
This is very anoying for all of us who enjoy the company of others when doing our quest.
So please fix and/or give us some responce other than “The test i ran everything was fine, so you are all doing it wrong”

Commander Chat

You are right about people not joining the squad chat, guess it is because they have all turned into brainless sheeps because of to much QD fail train and EotM karma/level train.
Sadly the EotM map have almost destroyed all proper WvW, because of its unlimited supply, and people dont understand that when you play borderland or eternal you have limited supply and it somewhat important for the commander to know the supplycount to plan his attack/supply routes.

Sidenote: i memory servers me right the squad is also limited to 50, so that can sometimes cause a issue when people leave map but dont leave squad

There is already a “squad chat” yellow, for all who join the commander squad, if that is what you mean. It also allows for the commander to see the amount of supply for all people in squad more easy, he dont require you to stack to see “/squadinfo”

Tags are quite handy for some high level events, tequatl and tree headed wurm, other than that it is most for people who dont get enough attention in real life and dont want to tag down, sad when you think about it

Regarding the train: This is in opinion the worts thing about the game, it robs people of the ability to think for themself and lock in a zombie like state, and they cant understand why they get butchered when they come high level events where minimal thinking is required.

Also with these new MegaSavingServer there are trains on every map, was quite happy that on Underworld there was only the Queensdale Fail Train, before this new server thing. This robs us people who did not like to run into a zerg whenever we turned a corner of our pleassure in the game, and the whole reason for bringing people into the maps are quite silly, if people liked packed map they could transfer to high populated train servers, no need to force this upon us who hate trains.

Story traits are also bugged, so if you are not instance owner you will have to purchase the traits the story should have given.

Just ran another test trying to get the (warrior) Trait “Merciless Hammer” that are rewarded for the level 70 story mission called “The Battle for Fort Trinity”
Wife was the Instance owner so i could stream it and record it, gave the same bug where only instance owner get reward and party member does not.

So Be carefull not to do to many story missions together with friends, so you dont need to purchase the Traits you should have gotten as reward for gold and skill points.

The 3 skill that did not unlock for her but only me (instance owner) was:
Leg specialist -Story step: A light in the Darkness
Dogged March- Story step: The Battle for Claw Island
Forcefull Greatsword – Story step: Forging the Pact, had to purchase it because it is needed for her warrior build.

Yes, we are not new to the game this is our 20th toon, so we know how it is done.
And the 3.500+ hours played together should give a hint that we know a bit about the game

Play a lot together with the wife, we do story together.
The new trait system only unlocks the trait for the instance owner, not for the people in the party. Tryed it twice today, both times i (instance owner) got the trait and she did not. the story linie is the same so that is not the problem.

So please fix this bug fast, dont feel like wasting skill points to get thing that skould have been unlocked.

And on another note, The MegaSavingServer is also broken, when it dont put the wife and i on the same map when we are in party (have 3.500+ hours played together in same party and guild) so if it cant figure that out it is clearly not working and just another reason why the servers should have been merged instead of this community breaking boken wannabe system.

Hate the mega server or “trying to fit as many people into same servers” the idea was and is not even good, if you want to save server, merge them.
Dont just trow serveral servers and people into a mixing bowl and pour them into a few servers, it ruins the community and there are far to many people in the servers.
Even the whole idea of “being put with friend, guildmates and known people” is a huge fail, for instance the wife and i have more than 3.500 hours in the game being in same guild (our own) same party and helping each other (not total amount of hours but hours together), yet it still feels the need to put us in different maps.
If 2 people with that many hours are not even put together, then it clearly shows that it is more random than a actual code/algorytm, and that you have given up.

So please, get rid of this worthless Mega"saving"server and merge servers instead of this if you so desperate need to save money.

Increase in Gold Sellers: Highly annoying

The solution is easy, but apperently not something the developers want to do.
They like all other have a profanity system and and can simply ban certain words, like the goldseller website in chat, problem solved.
This would force the goldseller to change website and they are most likely not willing to do that (becaues when the next goldseller website is created and reported, you just filter that out as well)
This would reduce the spam to a minimum because it is not hard to sell a product when you cant tell people where to buy it.

Have the average gamer realy become this weak that it is now needed to have indestructible armor and weapons.

The cost of aprox 2 silver for a repair when death with level 80 gear is nothing, hell you you can go to any starter country with your all mighty and powerfull toon and kill 10 random innocent fluffy bunnies and get loot, woth 5 times the repair cost for a death.

What we realy need to get the economy going is the opposite. Yes you guessed it, i am talking about the possibility to get your armor and weapon destroyed (and lost for ever).
It will make sure that crafting is actualy a way of earning money and raise the price to a better level vs the amount you make per hour killing and plundering.
Sure it may be a argument that it is anoying to have to repair, but stabbing bunnies all day long will with time make your blade dull, and then its time to get it sharpened.

I am not saying that you should be able to get your armor destroyed in 1 death, this can be scaled together with the rarety of the item, so the more commen equipment will be destroyed (and lost forever), in 2-3 deaths if you dont repair, and the top end will according to the scaling last longer (more deaths)

At least then will there be a marked on AH for all gear, and not only the ones that are made from the materials that are popular at the given time.
So lets get out this trend where the few that cry the highest about having to do something to make money are no longer making the games so easy that they present absolutely no challange, and can be completed on autopilot.

High level loot in starter lands

Seems very wrong to get high level loot in starter lands, any level 80 with respect for them self can kill hordes of mobs in a instant, and dont have a challange there.
So to give the reward according toon level is just wrong and sadly maintain many people in these starter lands and leave all others empty, because why should they risk getting their pretty new armor dented to get the same items they can get in a low level land where there are no challenge (know there are small differences according to materials)

These lands are designed (my opinion) for starter toons with levels according to the land and should therefor only give loot according to the land level (maybe a few higher) no need for Queensdale to drop level 80 rare and exotic, thats just wrong.

And it makes me even more sad to see level 80´s leading trains in Queensdale and convincing new players that this is the place to be, new players often take wrong advice from these “more experienced” players and belive them.

So lets get the loot to match the land + a few level to avoid some of the reward/reason for high level players to farm these lands.

Simply cannot understand why they dont use the profanity system in the chat, to make it harder for gold sellers. Many of these gold sellers type in their website, so whenever you find a a goldseller site, block that name from being written in chat.
For instance: if you write “goldsellers site” just program it to show **************** instead or supress the chat containing that word, this will make it harder for goldsellers to use the chat system.

I is truly sad that there has been absolutely no responce to this issue, and i bet it has cost lost of people 25+ AC points because not all players are fan of dungeons.

Have noticed that once again Caladon Forest on underworld server, dont give influence and guild build queue, bonuses dont apply.
A fix would be nice, but a permanent solution would be even better.

Just want to share a picture that shows one off the problems with the new system (love the new system though)
It is kind of anoying that you cannot transmute/salvage some jewels giving the time/laurals spend to get it, some of these jewels where Very expensive and required a long time to get the laurals needed.

Temple of Balthazar event impossible

Gave it a try yesterday (friday), called on the zerg from cursed shore and others (around 20-30 people) they mobed up the risen quite effective.
The wife and i was on healing guardians, and was only consentrating on healing and protecting the pact and we almost succeded.
What seemed to be the problem was:
That the pact morale is based on how much damage the pact members takes.
We where almost at the waypoint and all pact members where still alive (no one died) but still the morale was around 5 %.
The morale stays down even though you fully heal the members, so you fail if you are not extremly lucky (skill has almost nothing to do with it) all it takes for you to fail is having one npc do area damage to the pact.

Sad part is that this is one of the most important locations in the game, since it is the only place that sells obsidian shards.

It is over a week since we got a official responce, it would be nice to get a responce to a estimated fix or another workaround (for example let the Grenth karma merchant sell obsidian shards, also a desent hard event)

World boss vs. Champions

Love that the latest patch made some off the world bosses stronger so they dont die before they spawn, they and event like them should be hard and challenging.
But to make champions that are stronger than most world bosses is just silly, just did the Lyssa event today and the Champion Gorilla there, is tougher and hit harder than pretty much everything else in the game.
Conclusion, bosses should always be the strongest. If a boss is to easy, then upgrade him/her/it, give them more minions, just dont add a champ that can beat the boss, that is just silly and seems like you lost feeling with the game.

The test was not done in a dungeon, we where the only 2 in the party and do aprox the same damage, to make sure those factors did not affect the end result

In my case the MF does not realy seems like it is worth it at the moment, been playing alot with the wife lately, both necromancer and almost always hits the same targets, we get simulary loot (it seems like she get a bit more rare) i always have around 200 % and she is running with around 50 %.
We did a test today on 1 hour killing 250 mobs on the Cursed shore, we both got 1 rare and the rest was almost the same (she did get 12 more Heavy Moldy Bags than me).
My magic find during the test was 304 % and hers was 15 %, small test but seems to confirm what we have been noticing the past month or so.

After a long time off wondering about if the magic find is worth it, the wife and i finaly set out to do the test, and these are the results.
1 hour off killing the same monsters (we both hit the same monsters) and killed 250 mobs in Cursed Shore

So there you have it, it seems like the Magic find is not realy worth it at the moment
Reason why we did the test: we where farming mobs earlyer and she got 5 rare when i got 1, we are both Necromancers so we hit the same mobs most off the time.
