Awuh. I’m sad to say I had to vote that it is stale as is. I find ways to make WvW fun…but, yeh.

I push the portal limit and it often fails.

I yell at my iWarden in an unhealthy manner.

I can hardly ever get my Illusionary Wave to go in the direction I meant.

My mesmer looks like the Statue of Liberty when she casts Mass Invis and I feel cool.

I am bummed the bug got fixed on iLeap.

I’ll turn 31 in two months. My first computer-y game was Castle Adventure (released in 1984) and it is confirmed, I’ve always been terribad at them! I’m not too shabby at console games and would often beat my brothers and step dad at F-Zero. Guild Wars 2 is my first MMO, which I’ve played for a bit over a year now. I started out exploring the maps and discovering waypoints to level up. I liked the challenge of trying to escape death as a super-under-level character. I got into WvW after beating Liadri last year. She helped me learn that it was important that actually pay attention to stats/gear! And she opened my eyes to another fun aspect of this game – not trying to best NPC’s, but actual people. I did WvW for a bit and focused on solo roaming and duels. I got into PvP (and streaming) about four months ago. It almost requires you to give up being a clicker. I stopped clicking (and keyboard turning) about two months ago. The combat in this game is fun, but I dislike the ascended armor (crafting, ugh) in WvW and certain bugs here and there, but streaming got me into other games. So, I can jump to a different game for a change. Pretty cool to hear from the elder players.

I do, but I don’t just roam. Malferian also solo roams in WvW. Supcutie and Helseth do a lot of PvP, but they’re def worth watching.

THIEVES STAND NO CHANCE NOW. I actually feel sorry for thieves. inb4 thousands of thieves request nerf.

You must be fighting very terrible thieves. I agree, though, it is easy to shatter bad thieves that don’t know how to stick and move.

Seriously, though. I’m not making a legenkitten, but I did find out that my adept traits are locked until I do some random thing in a lvl 60 map (my mesmer is lvl 36). This makes me so salty. ~_~

I never understood this argument. Even for people who are WvW players you have to level up as if it were PvE and unless you do EotM ktrain you aren’t likely to get so many badges to pay for full exotic gear appropriate for WvW. The only people who have a “right” to complain about it would, potentially, be PvP players. However they get all of the first 12 traits in each line for free as it is.

What “game mode” are people being forced to play that they don’t enjoy that was any different prior to the update?

It’s not so much game mode as it is parts of the game. Not all PvE players enjoy EVERYTHING in PvE, because PvE encompasses a lot of stuff.

There’s not a single MMO, ever, that won’t have some cross-over. That’s just mindless, erratic stupidity.

Has anyone even played any other games or is this just the step up from Solitaire?

If you cba to do Personal Story, map completion or events to get your traits – and you’re too cheap to buy them – well, sucks for you. Personally, I think it just weeds out the people who want a handout from the people who actually care to build their characters.

The nicest thing I can say about Personal Story, map completion OR events is…….NO KITTEN THANKS.

I do build my character. She is level 36 now and that is mostly from PvP. Having my decoy and blink utilities helps me survive against mobs and lvl 80’s. Having traits would also really help out, particularly the deceptive decoy trait.

I do not like how the adept line is the only one I have access to right now. Not like it matters. The trait can only be unlocked by going to a level 60 map. I’m taking the time to level up this character on a new account (needed a new account to play on EU servers) and I do not see how this qualifies as a handout. The system in place before the update was fine.

I’ll probably end up buying the traits. I wonder how pricey they are. I already spend lots of silver on food and sharpening stones for WvW, not to mention the upgrades and siege needed. I should have enough by the time I hit 80. The loot boxes from PvP are FINALLY decent. Now, if only WvW boxes get a lil buff, that’d be nice. I actually have my lvl 80 chest piece, sword, pistol, greatsword and other items just from PvP. Whoever thought that idea up rocks. People were spending lots of time fighting other players and getting bad loot compared to the same amount of time being spent farming dungeons and them getting amazing loot. I don’t like PvE because once you do something, it’s the same each and every time. So boring. PvP and WvW pits you againts other players. So fun!

I did build my characters on my other account. I’m currently working on a mesmer and thief on my EU account. They have their own distinct looks (compared to my NA characters) and they’re awesome. I just wish I could get access to things I USED to have access to. And, no, no matter what hare-brained scheme they come up with next, they will not force PvE down my throat.

I was leveling a mesmer this morning and hit level 30. I went to select a trait and it looks like I have to do a personal story event to unlock the trait. Is there any way around this?

(And, WHY?!?!?!?! I do not like living story or personal story or whatever story. Why do we have to do this to unlock traits?)

@manveruppd, I was actually soaking all those hits up and healing at the same time, now imagine me being a Thief or a Mesmer for example.

My zerk, sh-@t-ter mesmer avoids big, green men. It’s super obvious. You call out, “LICH!” to your team and do many things mentioned above to avoid getting killed.

Also, I don’t always run Moa, I run Mass Invis, but Moa-ing him works. Y’know the only other build/class I’ll moa? Bunker gerdian.

Answer the simple question why should I vote at all for anybody, who I absolutely doesn’t know, when I self get nothing out of it for voting that person???

When the only thing that happens with my vote is, that somebody will get eventually rewarded, regardless of which place that person reaches in the end, as everybody receives something as reward there and all voters get only the short straw – nothing.

So answer me, why shouldn’t I sell my vote to any of those candidates, especially if my vote could just be in the end the reason which could theoretically decide over it, if Person A or Person B gets into the team??
By selling it to a candidate, which could get through my vote into the team theoretically, I can make at least some kind of profit out of it and get something for my vote, if I can’t get even a small thing therefore, that our voted people of our continent win for us there.

Do you understand now, why this voting system is nonsense and why it should be given out simply entry tickets best randomly by ANet self only???

Voting for something/someone, if you don’t know what you get for it or get nothign at all – is senseless and leads automatically only to vote manipulation in regard of those, for who is receiving most of the votes, or more votes than someone else near you is the most important.

First of all, calm the calamity that is your mammories.

Secondly, I kindly invite you to familiarize yourself with these players.

As you’ll see, most of these players compete every WEEK and any combination of them will be a decent and interesting matchup.

Why should you vote for them? Do or do not, no one gives a kitten whether Orpheal.8263 votes.

You DO get something out of voting for a player. You vote on who YOU’D like to see competing. If the people you voted for compete, it will make watching the tournament that much more fun.

Don’t be a schmuck by selling your vote. Either you are interested in these players and this tournament and you’ll vote or you are not and should go back to whatever it was you were griping about before you stumbled onto this tournament thread.

I’d suggest [ASH] because I was part of it and they are a ridiculously nice bunch. It’s a PvX guild and I do remember many members running low to very high-level fractals. I think they dragged me through a lvl 30 once and I had no clue what was happening. They’re very good, though, promise!

Currently on Gate of Madness server (NA) and way too broke to even consider transferring.

I like to WvW and PvP. I’d like to be part of an active guild:

• Has at least 4 members that are willing to tPvP regularly.
• BE WILLING TO GvG!!!!
• Roam in the BL’s of WvW vs EB
• Run srs WvW raids often with 10 or more guildies
• Have awesome WvW/PvP driver(s): competent, funny, vocal, blunt
• PvF plis <3

A bit more about me.

• I’m bronze-something rank in WvW and most of that is from homeland BL stuff. I forget my actual rank, but I have the two buffs and almost all the masteries. I pugmand on my warrior and mesmer.
• I’m rank 46 in PvP. I’d love to be part of a team that is willing to change classes/builds, try new things, be fun and competitive, and use voice comms.
• I have an 80 war, mes, guard, ele, thief, and ranger. Necro is 56, engi is 22. I main a mes, but willing to switch class/build as requested.
