Because since release I have spent 200.00+ dollars in the gemstore. Up until the Southsun Event, I felt dealing with Arenanet has been very straight forward and honest. Now its bad business practice to present blatantly poor customer service to customers who are willing to spend money in the gemstore. (Please note I had alot of gold saved up by the Southsun event, so I trade it in this time. But Arenanet can link my account back to my credit card number and see the total amount they have received from me since day 1.)

After buying 40 South Sun supply crates, I had received 1 cheap mini and nothing else of value? Are we going to see this again with this Dragon Coffers in the new event? Thank you for your time.

Whether that’t why they have a low turn out or not is anyone’s guess. But they are getting more transfers. DB all I can say is be careful. I actually like a lot of you guys, and many are happy and only want to stay in T2. While it seems many new transfers want to push to T1. The reason I say be careful. Is I would hate to see that create a division within the server. That can only lead to bad things.

Most of our transfers came from T1. If you came from JQ then you sat in the number 1 spot week after week without fail. I hope we spend time building in T2 and reclaiming the WvW of the “good ole days.” Honestly the fights have been much more exciting since transferring to be DB. Admittedly the arrow cart initiative is cramping my style though. I prefer the old days of open field combat.

Devon is by far the most “in touch” Dev at Arenanet. He really understands the WvW players.

If you want a “Dev” that is “On” it. Choose “Dev On.”

Commandos were taken out of the game before release for being so OP.

This is how a dungeon should be made. NOW: Make a “hard mode” and have the rewards scale up to reflect that “hard mode.”

I am on about try number 40 something on Grenth just in the last week or so. I find it amazing that I should do Grenth with 40+ failures, yet the all powerful and fearsome dragons will actually go down every time?

Please dont use the number of players as an excuse, because this should be scaled accordingly.

Who is going to watch a tower or keep with no reward for it? This is more motivation to get a bigger zerg drop more siege, and get through the gates in less than 30 seconds. We are back to karma train tactics.

For those of you reading this, I’m not sure how Noodles became the most “Famous” or “Infamous” person in GW2, but he is actually a very pleasant person. He is very calm and diplomatic. He is posting this thread because he works at community building not to establish a dictatorship. He had many guild members go with him to DB. You don’t have that many people paying for transfers if you are a “negative person.” When you hear him on team speak, you will have a much different impression.

I don’t understand the abandonment of Cantha for this reason. So you want to shy away from it looking too “Asian.” Fine you have 250 years of history to change that. To me the only thing that looked specifically Asian was Kaineng City. Kurizck looked strangely gothic and Luxon looked, well I dont know. To me it would be logical that Kaineng would have been destroyed by the rising of Orr and the higher elevations would have not been affected. Just have “Ruins of Kaineng” and evolve the Luxon and Kurzick areas into the cities?

I welcome BG to to T1… it will be nice to have some kind of challenge for a change. And if you do pull ahead of JQ, I will get to gripe and complain about how “Stacked” BG is ;-)

This matchup is getting pretty stale now. JQ’s first place is uncontested and we’re fighting the same opponent day after day, week after week. In the meantime, people are pointing fingers to Anet for lack of content updates and anything new to make things different and exciting.

I say if we want something new and exciting, it’s totally in our hands. SoS and SoR should team up and fight JQ 2v1. This will DEFINITELY make things more fun and exciting than wvw is in its current state. Yea, yea, some will say “wvw = 1v1v1”, “red means dead” and blah blah blah, but would you rather cling onto your pride and repeat the same thing over and over, week after week with no differing results? or try something new and make things more fun for us all?

It’s pretty clear that JQ is first and SoS and SoR are competing for second. The idea of allying with another server to beat them (because you can’t do it alone) can be humbling. But really, who cares? let’s face the reality. Neither SoS nor SoR can beat JQ alone. And besides, it’s a freaking video game, so who cares? It’s all about fun, and I’m sure SoS and SoR coalition will make wvw much more exciting than it is now. I say we make this week SoR & SoS vs JQ.

Does anyone realize how many weeks in a row that it was SOS stomping JQ and SBI? JQ and SBI fought for 2nd place? How is this any different now?

SOS was first from Week 47 to Week 04 with the exception of 1 week. This is 10 weeks in a row (minus Week 01)

Tier 1 needs to be fixed also JQ is winning by 60K on a Wednesday… Is there anyone who can stop them? Oh the humanity!

As a member of [MERC] I had a very good laugh when I spotted an enemy [MERC] with a guild name along the lines of “too poor to transfer”.

If you followed the development threads in the years before release, you would know that Arenanet basically gives you large amounts of information at one time followed by long droughts with no information at all. Essentially feast or famine style communications. I ve never understood why they dont have a PTR for their changes but… oh well.

You act like there is any other position to play for, unless you forgot about the million transfers that stacked on jq.

SOS has nothing to prove… We have a long history of coming in second place to them. JQ and SOS have watched “Johnny Come Lately” servers come and go from Tier 1. SOS is a respectable enemy.

The EB queue is full of PVEr’s with no intention of contributing to WvW. I think the reward for controlling SM would be controlling the doorway to JP. This would require players who want the JP to contribute in WvW. At the same time the server controlling SM would have to strike a balance between defending SM or going into the JP.

Please put the JP door in SM only. Whoever owns SM can do JP. This way players will have to contribute before going into JP.

Yea WvWers will mass exodus when ESO hits. WvW cannot be fixed because it was designed to be a casual gametype. It was not meant to be competitive, but that’s what the player base wants. We want competitive, mass PvP.

Just curious, but why are so many people talking about ESO? The ES combat system is rather dull… is there some real info on ESO that people are taking to heart? I mean we should all be leary of new MMOs that generally do not live up to the expectations. Lets take Kurt Schilling and the State of Rhode Island.

BTW its the PVE and WvW base that brings in the cash shop money. Nothing for SPvP in the cash shop. I don’t think Arenanet is going to lose in revenue here.

sorry I dont know the other guilds that play with Foo… so I just like to refer to you as “Foo and the Gang”, since it sounds so much like “Kool and the Gang”

I would ask that EMP members not get baited into the low-class forum attacks from SOR. We need to have empathy for SOR, they are fighting a war they are not going to win. There is a good bit of anger and frustration about that. They only have small victories to try and relish at this point. We also do not need lump the whole of SOR with this small group of SOR members.

I would also ask that the decent guilds and communities of SOR help to keep some of this in check also. (I think the bulk of SOR is made up of decent classy community members.)

Before anyone yells about “coverage”, “stacking” etc. Remember that Arenanet stated a long time ago the direction and the rules that would be in place. Near the end of free transfers, JQ (and SOS) both realized as a community that they would need to try to fill the gaps in the coverage. Both worked hard on forums to recruit and politic for their communities. We did not ask for Arenanet to change the rules for us. We worked with the rules of the game that were already in place. And just like any sports team, we “drafted” to meet our needs. Why other servers did not do this also is beyond me? The difference here is “Community.” JQ and SOS both had an organized community.

I love all this JQ is some OP Monster talk. I seem to remember weeks of fighting for 2nd place behind SOS.

We may or may not be able to top T1, but this is some of the best WvW I’ve played in a long time.

I was in a guild that was in the original Ascension Alliance. I found TL to be rather “exclusive.” (Not meaning to say that in a judgmental way.) I imagine based on WM’s history they are rather “exclusive.” So are WM and TL really going to start absorbing the residents of Kaineng into their guilds? I imagine your BLs are still going to have a high amount of “random element” to it.
