Yes most likely you did the same boss twice within a 24hr period and thus recieved no chest. You can show up at 10% boss health, get bronze and still should get a chest – provided you didnt do that boss yet on that day with that character.

Yeah I was quite wrong on that.

Supply/Demand isn’t that much different from the permanent contracts (roughly twice as high) but it seems less people actually want the things as opposed to the permanent contracts which are darn useful for any character.

Buying Deathwish at 20ish gold when I saw it was 190-ish gold moments before. Of course in hindsight what really happened is someone bought up the 3 or so that were on the market at the time and relisted them for over 100 gold.

Those were my 2 biggest mistakes to date. Besides the usual “I wish I had thought of that” ones of course

FYI, this bug is still happening. Experienced it last night.
First time it happened I was coming from smashing the Shatterer and I was in a group of 2 (incl. me) when I went into the instance.

What happened was that at the step “Take back the Fort Trinity Docks” I would slay all foes but then nothing would trigger. I could the free roam with Trahearne following me and some of my friendly NPC mobs alive and nothing would happen.

I then left the group, logged out and logged back in. I then had to redo the whole mission chain. However, this time in the end while I was still fighting a group of Krayt Dimoss coming from the water, suddenly a cut scene animation triggered and I could end the mission successfully.

It is my opinion that the error lies in the last wave of mobs that is spawned. For some reason they spawn as yellow mobs when they should spawn as red mobs. I think this causes the next trigger (which most likely triggers on “all foes dead”) to not activate if you manage to not tag the trigger critical group in time before friendly NPCs slay them.

To guard against that, make sure that on the last step, you actually turn all usually enemy mob types in to red colored foe mobs.

Riverside (DE) EU has Balthazar free as I am writing this (16:53:11 GMT).

I am in this camp as well, but sadly this reasoning will not go away. Why? Because apparently they can get away with it.

There is the reasoning of fixing prices based on the nominal purchasing power of the average customer.

I can understand it for software products that have some overhead for european markets where language needs to be translated etc. (if the discrepancy isn’t too large) like for example the GW2 base price but here we are talking about an entirely virtual product.

There is nothing here that would warrant supporting the 1EUR = 1USD ratio.
Even the billing system stays the same across the board.

I think it would benefit them if they actually made the ratio fair.
It would create that sense of fairness and thus increase the likelihood of the customer spending money.

Focus 4 (Temporal Curtain) is your reliable speed boost. It lasts 10seconds with 20s cooldown I believe (not ingame atm), so you can have it up 50% of the time.

Also some people slot runes of the centaur to have much more uptime.

If I recall correctly there’s a TP, a bank, and all of the crafting stations directly close to each other, maybe a couple footsteps apart.

The best tip I can give you is:

Do not react, but anticipate.

I know its sounds basic, but it’s actually quite complex because it depends so much on how and how long animations of the mobs you face, play out.

This is where you just need practice to spot the kind of animation that will be performed and the breaking point when the animation will begin to play out. You want to anticipate that moment and dodge slightly before start of the animation.

Sometimes it is enough if you dodge while the animation plays, but this depends, again, on the length of the animation: longer animations give you more leeway to react (naturally).

Example: a mob begins an attack animation that makes it raise its arm. Now, through trial and error determine the breaking point.

Will it be enough to anticipate the arm reaching the top of the raise? No?
Will it be enough to anticipate the beginning of the raise? Yes?
Good.

Now each time you see that animation (and trust me, you will begin to see re-used animations) you know what to anticipate.

The second best tip I can give you, is:

Never spam your dodge hotkey. Keep an eye on your endurance bars and avoid spamming the hotkey when you see the bar almost filled up, as this can actually cause delays even though you maybe had enough endurance.

Perform dodge counters as calmly as you possibly can given the situation. Your hit-miss ratio will improve.

Yes I noticed that too when doing Divinity’s Reach completion. Sometimes it loops on end.

Tropical Bird was hit for 25,756 damage by your Mind Wrack.

Of course this would make the precursor market prices plummet so naturally people who are in control of these (or just regular sellers with no large quantities) will be sort of against it.

But the prices will stabilize and I think they will start to slowly rise again if the time edge that buying one gives you is really huge, e.g. if 365 or more laurels were required.

Overall it is one of the better ideas and I would support it.

Congrats, but I am afraid your question can only be answered with the age old “random is random”. I fall for seeing some pattern in randomness much too often myself.

Most random number generators today try to mimic true randomness where longer streaks are actually not that uncommon. I remember from a programming class about the mersenne twister that the teacher said something akin to a good RNG will create streaks… or something. Ah, it’s been too long…

Does anyone know what happens with the chest from completing one of the daily subcategories when you die to due to the chest being insanely hard to loot at times when monsters are still being fought.

I hitchhiked back to where I died and the chest was gone.

Ah gotcha. That is very good to know indeed. Wish it was made more clear, or better yet, actually make the item account bound maybe by offering unlimited transmutations. But of course they want to keep selling them so my next suggestion would be to be very clear in writing that it has to be used up on one character.

Wait, so I basically have to wait 50 levels until I get to 80 on my first toon just so I get the correct back item stats?

This is kinda misleading, also because it says the backpack is account bound when it actually isn’t… confused

On their instructions page, they say you /join a group, so if you post a message on that site that you are LFG, you do /join ingame and create a group on your home server and others on that site message you for the group name/id or whatever?

Just to clarify, Signet of Illusions is still not applying increased health when clones are summoned but sometime later instead, depending on time left until refresh?

Also, good to know about Illusionary Leap. I always thought you basically had to be within melee range of the mob for it to work. Now I know why it’s so jumpy.
