Like always another very entertaining remove [xxxxx] profession thread where a troller tries to convince us that a profession must be deleted based completely on flawed knowlegde of the game, the profession they want to see removed and even the profession they claim to play! XD

Tip: It seems that almost all “remove [xxxxx] profession threads” are made by trollers that gets some sick pleasure out of this or its someone who really cant beat a certen class because of luck of skill( in the game or maybe just a certen playstyle)

There is no such thing as an OP class or a OP profession, there are only good players, nothing less nothing more. Every profession has its weakness and strong points as well as every build has its weakness and strong points but dont ever say a build or a profession is OP because there is no such thing. As they say; seek the problem in yourself first before you go out and look for problems in others.

Suggestions for reworking thief

So basicly you want thief to be less fun/harder to play with + otherall survivability to be even less and your just one of those people who have some strange problem with them prob. because you struggle/d to kill them at sometime and have some wierd idea that they are very “op”. Its getting tiring that people just think some classes/builds are just to impossible to beat so then they must be weakened. So my suggestion to rework thief is to not rework it.

The Making of Teams

But other than classes, build wise makes the most difference, I wanted to know if someone can tell us a few tips on how to make teams where the classes and all their builds complement eachother, like one I just came up with, medi guard + power lb ranger; using preferbally ts, ranger shoots his knockback followed by burst but, just as he used his knockback the guard uses sword/meditation ability to teleport to opponent and then bursts (for example with gs 2# or sword 2#). While that is happening we have an thief roaming (will also have the job of intercepting enemies before they can attack a point) to “scout” the enemies directions aswell as to see if he could take/decap far if its open, and a turrent engi at close.

And to top it off we could have an tankish hambow in mid. And ofc the gaurd, ranger and thief must be asura and the war, engi a big char or norn( only usefull in unranked) :P

HI, I can’t seem to find anything on how to make an organized team. What do you look for when making a organized team? for example will having a tank guard/war in the middle to fend of the enemies while an ally condi engi just bleed and poison the enemies to death work? So basicly, what do you guys look for when making organized teams even if your just 2 in the party.

One of my previous matches I was in a team with 3 pre-made guys and the other team was 3-5 pre-made, and the other team’s pre-made party was alot more experionced than our team’s pre-made which made us fail horribly. Im not saying that there should only be allowed 5 man party for pre-mades but darn, aleast give both side an equaly experionced team then.

Is there anything in WvW from the top to the lowest servers that comes remotely close to a legendary commander? Someone who can deal with almost all situations and not just once, Im talking about constantly being a excellent strategist.

I played GW1, and I recently tried GW2. I’ll give my final review here.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
My first impressions were very positive. I liked the event system, and the cooperative gameplay aspects. When I did my first world boss in the Queensdale swamps, I loved how everyone got a set of loot from the encounter. The graphics were great, and I liked how quests and events meshed together.

INTEREST RISING: DIFFERENT MODES OF PLAY:
I liked the fact that there were different ways you could play and progress. The crafting system was simple and straightfoward, and was not long and frustrating. My interest in the game had started to ramp up significantly. I tried dungeons, eotm, and small group pvp, and liked it all. Small group pvp had a learning curve, but it was the kind of difficulty that was engaging.

REALLY INTO THE GAME – HITTING 80 WITH ELE AND GUARDIAN / LOOKING TO WvW:
I couldn’t decide between ele and guardian, so I decided to co-main them. WvW was my preferred end-game mode and what I wanted to spend most of my time doing when I got to 80. Both ele and guardian seemed to be great support classes for WvW, and I wanted variety, so I leveled them both.

DESCENSION:
When I hit 80 on my guard and ele, it became time to set up my characters to do WvW. I decided to go with a celestial staff ele and a tanky support guardian. But…I found out that to get celestial gear, I would have to make these quartz crystals which were limited to one per day. I didn’t like that, because I view gearing up as the precursor to play, not as the actual play.

But then I researched ascended gear, and found out what I would have to do to get it. I tried fractals of the mists once, and completed the first level successfully. I hated it. It wasn’t fun at all. The whole time I couldn’t wait for it to be over. Now, this wouldn’t be a big deal since I liked the other game modes (especially WvW). I learned that it would be a major grind to get ascended involving a game mode I didn’t like, and that I would be at a disadvantage in WvW without it. That disadvantage looks to be about 10% all told from my research on the internet, which is enough to be substantial. I deleted the game.

This guy is either, drunk, a troller or someone who really doenst know a lot. I mean “and that I would be at a disadvantage in WvW without it.” yeah sure, you will have a lil less stats, it really isnt the end of the world, just make up with it by getting better with the class. I’ll bet most of the people he’d had to face doesnt have ascended either and I wonder if he really thinks that anyone would take this joke of an review very seriously.

There are alot of counters against stealth, so stop complaining about things you cant handle and learn to handle them @ at all those who have some wierd idea that stealth is this amazing thing and rather l2p than complain about it.

Stealth is OP in this game but I doubt it’ll ever be fixed, for the amount of opposition against it being balanced is high. I despise Stealth, as it is now, mainly because it has no direct counter.

Ok think of it this way, thieves have alot of damage but little health, so take away stealth and they will be like really squishy warriors with little to survive, other than shadowstep which you people will probally complain about after they ’ in a alternate universe’ nerf stealth. So please, think before you type. Also there is nothing to be fixed, it is the way its supposed to be and it accaully has counters btw.

Server merging

I like the idea but there is one flaw that will upset people, and that is that people will complain that they dont want to zerg/blob around in WvW. But being in WSR myself I’d also like to have more intense wars against the other servers, to give you higher tier server players an idea; I can personally solo camps on any class without anyone coming to stop me 60% of the time and 40% of the time when it comes to towers, but atm I cant afford paying 1,8k gems to transfer and really dont want to spend 200-240g for it because Id rather finish my character’s builds and using real money then its almost enough to buy an new game. All I can think of if they could take the bottom few servers and merge them so they are more balanced, because I really dont want to mess with the higher servers in the European group because they have ( I believe ) alot of server pride and would dislike it grately if anet starts taking them out and placing them in bad WvW servers, also they cant open all the servers because everyone will obiviously go to the highest server and unbalance the whole system. But something must be done, maybe firstly trying to merge the last 6 servers into 3 servers.

I believe they should make the game more “living” in the sense, than it already is. Like for example; more than average amount of centuars are being killed in Queensdale, then the centaur activities should lessen and the farmers should give us new events that will show us that they are prospering do to the low centaur attacks. Same goes for if the centaurs arent killed less than usual then they should have this giant raid which will even threaten Divinitie’s Reach! Also if the mobs can just act more intellegently than just normal mindless mobs. Making the game accaully unexcpecting, a real truely living world.

There really sould’nt be this feature where we have to unlock traits because the last thing players who have played gw2 for more than a year want is to go around the world and get traits, we would rather want to go do dungeons for gold to buy that awesome weapon, do pvp or wvw, or anything enjoyable, unlike farming traits. All Ive really done is use gold and skill points to get the traits that I want rather than spending more time to get to the place where you get the trait and trying to get it.

This update is now a month old and I’m dumbstruck.
I was certain the trait system and the megaserver were sort of mistakes. Something that would get fixed in a few days. They are, after all, as Gonefishin and others have said, some of the worst changes ever seen in a game.

But they’re still here. Nothing to indicate they will be fixed.

I just can’t believe this is real.

Yeah the megaserver isnt that nice and it destroyed the server communitys…….(lol) . Me and my guild havent really felt that bad about it, as far as I know of.

gw2 is starting to feel more like a grind fest then anything else even the drop rate of this game is so horrible ppl sit and farm low lvl zone champs all freaking day and when a totally new person comes into that area it makes them think that is the only way to lvl/get loot. I mean really is that what you want new players to come into gw2 to think ?
and yes i happen to of overheard this and to what a newcomer himself said.

lack of content/and many many other things is just whack, and now the Dew date to wild-star is going to have a massive amount of players base leave gw2 dew to the lack of so many things and im talking about guild/guilds with the size of 300+ ppl now imagine if they arnt the only guild whose talking about doing so.

(this is more about what ive heard then my own view on this)

Wildstar is also a product of NCsoft; same people that made gw2…so they wont mind if people leave one of their games for the other.

Yes yes gw2 is living but is it truly “Living”, I wondered why cant the mobs be like AI mobs where they can strategize; for example if there is 2 eles and 2 guards the AI mobs would recognise the eles as weaker and fokus on them or mybe fokus on the person with the lowest gear. Just basicly making the mobs smarter for a more challenging pve.

This is an age long discussion. Well what my idea are, is the following; imagine that there arent a lot of people killing the centaur’s and because of that the centaurs gather every week (if they are enough) at their gigantic citadel where we have to raid them there or defend Divinity’s Reach from their planned attack or bad stuff happens(like divinity’s reach looks like LA:P). Same go’s for the inquest->asura, dredge->whoever, cant remember the dragon worshippers name->norn, Fire legion->char, evil plants-> good plants. The Sylvari, norn, humans, asura and char all have their own home capitals why cant the evil plants, molls, rats, ponies and white walkers have theirs? Also if one 2 isnt enought then they can combine to attack LA for example, Sylvari+flame legion (lol)

But I was thinking of also fixing the PvE problem, you know. A lot of people say that PvE isn’t challenging enought, but that didn’t always stop them from playing but just stopped them from having as much of fun in PvE as they did before they thought it.

It wouldn’t be hard; the problem of making it that all guilds has one can just be fixed by that Im saying just putting in another portal in LA for us to travel through and then you can just chat and mingle with you guild friends there. It would be a place where guilds can work hard to improve, maybe be able to pute in crafting stations so when you make your last ascended piece you would have guild mates all around saying “gz, gj”. Maybe make the hall customizable, putting in special achievements that your guild has performed. OH yeah and I want the place full of quaggans:P

If you think about it there isn’t really any guild wars in Guild Wars 2.
Can’t we have some sort of GvG in PvE where if your guild has decided to be hostile with another guild then you can attack a person from sayd guild; if it is in LA or Divinity’s Reach it doesnt matter .
