Speaking as someone who is not in favor of removing the ori node, I’m confused as to how removing it somehow “rewards” those people who farmed it like mad. Did you expect ANet to remove all of the ori from our banks?

Removing the node rewards nobody, regardless of any past interactions with it.

It is simple. They have full stock of this material which cost around 2,5s before patch. Now it will rise to let’s say 5-6s and the people who has the stock will sell it for biiiiiiig money. And the rest of us, who went there twice or thrice a week will be even more poor than before.

There`s no way it will rise to 5-6s. It was at 4s before the rich ori node was introduced.

It`s about 1100 MB… so a lot.

I think they’re trying to make blueprints account bound but they are having some issues with it. I don’t see blueprints ever being tradeable.

Its such a nothing mechanic. Everything you need to group for (dungeons/fractals) can be done easily cross server anyway.

I really think its massive fail to put so much time into producing this feature. Maybe next time it would be better to actually work on PvP and WvW more than for 5 minutes every day. You know…that huge section of the game which hasnt been updated for 5 months and the one which is dying as a result?

You realize it’s mainly for friends to play together right? Not for dungeons, fractals or any closed off thing like those.

Exactly this! My server never has the Balth temple open so it will be easier to get obsidian shards by guesting.

This would be difficult to reconcile with the “Invisible” play mode where you are not visible on friends or guild lists.

ANet clearly wants people to have some anonymity about their play time, and that includes to members of the guild.

(Though I suppose they could exclude those members who go invisible)

I’m pretty sure you can’t be invisible 100% of the time. When you log on you are showed as online.

People have those ones because they look the best and have the nicest effects.

I know this has been said a million times in other types of forums, telling you to search. But I’ll be honest, the search in this forum is probably the best I have ever seen.

BAsed on forum searches, the answers are this:
Laurels come in February. There is a system to convert your previous achievements into laurels, but due to some achievements being abused they have to test it for the later months ahead.

It’s actually the worst I’ve ever seen.

Laurels start on the 28th but don’t award laurels for January since it would be unfair to those that finished it in the first couple days of the month.

It’s still luck based. Fine has a less chance than master’s. If you want the upgrade use a BL one. I use the mystic though.

Because nerfing isn’t always the answer? They should be balancing it more instead of nerfing an entire damage class.

It’s soulbound on acquire.

I would love cosmetic mounts that add no speed buffs but that’s just me. Most, if not all classes have access to speed buffs anyways.

Okay so we are back again crying about “the grind”
This game has no grind.
Getting max gear takes no time to get.

The only “grind” comes from people who want the “cool” “flashy” weapons.

The entire game is based around cosmetic looks at 80 so there IS a grind for it. It might not be the grind you’re referring to but it’s still there.

Like the title states I am looking for a guild. I would like a large active guild that does daily runs of Dungeons/fotm or just pve content. Not much into wvw though. Been playing since head start and have a couple 80s if that means anything.

Either send me a whisper in game, post in this topic or just send me a guild invite outright in game. Thanks!

Apparently there was another bot ban wave so that’s why ectos are raising I guess. Same with T6 mats. Ecto salvage is luck anyways. I just got 3 with a master’s salvage kit.

For map completion, there isn’t really any food that’s going to help out much, use whatever you want/nothing at all.

For leveling, there’s boatloads of “suboptimal” foods you can buy for 1-2c each on the TP that still provide useful stat boosts/bonuses.

Map completion means renown hearts (as well as events), which can involve killing mobs, so the increased gold/MF/exp is better than nothing…

Mobs drop very few coins though so it’s not worth wasting a omnomberry bar in the open world. Save them for dungeons and buy spicy pumpkin cookies instead. (or anything else with the same mf). I use the pumpkin cookies because they last for 45m instead of the usual 30m and only cost around 90c each on the tp so it’s more cost efficient.

I would like to ask a question. As far as I know, Eternal Flame is a structure that cannot be looted, only a chest appears at the bottom. Are you referring to the chest or am I missing out on a way to loot Eternal Flame?

Eternal Flame is a jewelry recipe that rarely drops in CoF. It takes Ori components and 200 tokens to make I believe.

I would LOVE cosmetic mounts. Don’t really need speed increase since the world isn’t all that big to begin with. Especially with instant waypoints around.

Some achievements will be converted later down the road. The only thing that gets laurels is dailies and monthlies at this time.

I’m wondering as well if the next update (January 28) will add the fractals leveling where a group starts the fractal at level 8 but there is one person that is fractals level 1 so it doesn’t scale the group down to level 1 it keeps it at 8 and everyone one in the group goes up one level. Did you not read the post they made on the main page? If a level one joins a level 8 in fractals the group can choose any level up to 8. The level 1 will level up to 2 when completed and the level 8 people will get some karma.

The only consistant thing i’ve noticed with DC’ers is that the JP one, cant remember the name seems to be one of the worse for it.

The harpy/asura fractal gives some people errors. Turning on the area of effect rings (the red circles) in options stops the dc issue with jumping. It did for me at least.

The wiki and news post make no mention if you need a friend on a different server to guest there. Back at launch they said you would need one but I guess that was scrapped (hopefully).

If they didn’t have WvW then I would agree with you. Free server transfer have to stop because it’s killing WvW. Your server is losing? Just transfer to a better server. This was always known to be happening. It would be nice to have 1 free transfer a year or something to that effect though.

Were you in combat by any chance? Because being in combat has the chance for a ruined wood/ore/fiber when gathering.

Hate to burst your bubble but there WILL be more tiers of gear in the future. Maybe not this year but it will happen. What they said pre-launch doesn’t matter anymore.

Are they 70+ rares and are you using a master’s salvage kit? If they are you might just have horrible luck.

Ascended weapons are in the game. But as of right now they are only skins with no stats. They have a cool “misty” effect and leave a trail when you use them or run but they have no stats currently.

Those are fractals weapons, NOT ascended weapons. Ascended weapons are coming later on.

You shouldn’t be afking in an area where monsters can easily get to you. Either go to character select, log off or waypoint to a safe place.

Just re-read the post about guesting and you don’t need a friend on the server to guest there. In the past we were told we needed a friend on a separate server to guest on it. It’s probably why people keep bringing it up. Must have changed from then till now.

It’s optional. Don’t like it? Don’t do it. I don’t like WvW but I have to do it if I want my monthly done.

I really hope not. It would be a giant middle finger to the people that have a full set of Arah armor. Dungeon armor is fine as it is. You can still “play your way”

Is it really stealing if you gave them permission to withdraw from the bank though? It would be like giving my keys to someone and hoping they don’t rob me blind.

That’s why you have officers+ that you trust that can take out anything for another member. Giving the entire guild a free for all to the guild bank is stupid.

Only thing you can do is report him but it may not do anything. Anet honestly shouldn’t do anything about it in my opinion because you gave them access.

SotB is now recruiting new and old players alike. We are a fairly small guild (24 members as of writing) that focuses on all aspects of the game. We have a handful of players that have been playing since launch or before. We have a handful of upgrades (2/0/3/2) and are a friendly guild just looking to become a larger guild. They haven’t shared any more information than what is on the main page post. My guess is it’s doubtful they would add precursors in the list. They are talking about the scavenger hunt that will be out at the earliest April.

Not sure why people have issues with the monthly. I completed the January one on 3rd of January. It got me really involved in both dungeons and WvW, which previously I hated, now I love them. Thats what the weekly and monthlys should be about. Getting people involved in activities that they otherwise wouldn’t. Promoting players not to do just one or two things. It stops players from grinding and gets players out there exploring all the things there is to do inside Tyria and out.

They’re not hard, they’re tedious. Being forced into WvW and Fractals every month gets tiring. People just want variety to the monthly. Doing the same thing for 6 MONTHS is boring. How about instead of fractals they add dungeons in there again?

just by looking at that, this month (JAN) was the last month with fractals
and feb gets the exp( 255k exp withouth dieing)
and salvaging

You realize those are probably just the defaults right? WvW kills, Events, Salvaging and exp without death were the very first monthly in August.

One thing I am very tired of.. For the past three months we’ve had to complete X fractals per month for the completion.. Enough is enough! Change this out please!

With this being said, why are you forcing us to do the exact same grind month after month? I dislike the fractals. They are not fun. So please, STOP MAKING IT A MONTHLY REQUIREMENT!

Remove the wvw kills as well then. I don’t find wvw fun at all. Some people DO find fractals fun. Do them or don’t. It’s optional.

It’d be nice if legendaries were account bound on equip instead of soulbound.
