Well, dont know what that was all about, but i think i never saw an apology post like this before
Congrats to you mate, thats the way to do it. Hope to see you in game.
Destroy the most beautiful city ever created in a mmorpg? But…but…but thats madness!
Im really sorry for your loss, and my heart goes to everyone that is going through such times now.
I think the OP request is nothing out of the ordinary. It has been done in other games. Games like WoW are ofc filled with such events. I remember a little boy that had leuchemia and when he sadly passed away, the devs added his hunter avatar to the world map, with a quest for players to take, and at the end you can read the poem that the boy wrote about the game.
Playing a game is reaching out for something greater, that sometimes escapes those who call such acts of “escapism”. If calling to our inner children, trying to grab bits of hopes and dreams in a world of fantastic creatures, where many times we find the foundations that lead to character, honor, respect, friendship, integrity, present in the game, is escapism, than im a member of that club.
I have done better and lasting relations while playing Guild Wars and other games than i have in real life, with some exceptions ofc.
Providing a tool to honor the memory of a friend in the privacy of your guild hall is not an out of the ordinary request.
See you all in the Tyria
Hi,
probably, and most surely, this was already suggested, but can you lovely guys at ANet open a dungeon reward track, simillar to the existent one for spvp, so people can be given one more reason to go do dungeons…?
You could add stuff like reward high tier materials for completing paths in any given dungeon, helping low players finish story mode, etc..dont know…just an idea.
Rewards for completing high end game content really need an urgent fix. I never saw anything alike in any other rpg online game, mmorpg, whatever you want to call it.

having a legendary weapon, or any other top gear item, is always something that a faithful gamer looks to have in any given game. That should be reacheable to any player in that game by simple effort and playing hours, and not for how large your wallet is, or how big your guild is.
Me, i dont mind if i get one or not, because i would trade all legendaries in the game for being able to play the game i wish gw2 to be.
Having my friends back in gw2 to play with me, is my legendary and, for that, i just want HoT to be a great expansion and the start of gw2 journey to higher grounds in the mmorpg genre.
Grasping at straws, this thread is~
Pointing out a comment in an article that a journalist felt should be made is grasping at straws.
I think the people who want to see this game sink are the ones grasping at straws. Five years from now, when they game is still fine, people will be telling us it’s dying.
So far, there hasn’t been an MMO released since Guild Wars 2 has been released that has been as successful. Maybe there’s a reason for that.
Hello,
yes, there is a reason for that, and its a very simple one: there is no room in this genre for average games.
The reason why GW2 still stands its because its more than an average game and, perhaps one day, if ANet plays it right, this game will stand the test of time and take its place amongst the titan of this genre.
Ah ha! Thanks for the details there. Having a specific name is great. I’ll see if I can find out about this.
Lo you made me smile. For a good reason. Thank you
Gaile,
Don’t let the obsessives and forum warriors get you down. There are millions of people enjoying the game and playing. Happy players are playing, not posting.
Well, I’m posting as a counterpoint (probably lost in the rancor) to the incessantly unhappy. Nothing ANet does will satisfy the hardcore dissatisfied.
I’d love to know what’s coming. I understand why you don’t tell us. People have unrealistic expectations of software companies that they do not apply to car makers, TV shows, authors, construction, or other industries. No one (almost) demands Ford have a public detailed five-year plan, or that an architect make detailed plans available to everyone who might someday walk into the new building.
This is the internet; rationality is in short supply.
ANet is one of the most responsive game developers I know, and I’ve been an avid/active player/dev since the days of Wolfenstein 3D (yes, I’m in my 50s). Guild Wars 2 is a game, free-to-play after initial purchase, and it’s great for most of your players (at least the ones I know personally).
Thank you for being communicative.
Let’s put it another way: Were I young, whole, and on the West Coast, I’d be thrilled to work on GW2. No, not a job hunt, I’m happily employed in another industry. But I do appreciate what you do.
I really appreciate your point of view and your supportive comments.
And for me this is where that last sardine flipped the wagon.
Opposite to Gaile, i do not appreciate the point of view stated and the supportive comments, when those supportive comments do not truly reflect the state of the game.
Lets not discuss the merits of the game because we all know what the strong points are, and lets not discuss the demerits of the game because there are people happily playing the game and the rest are just forum warriors?? I mean, what is going on with GW2 that we can discuss?
I, personally, don’t want to discuss the current content that GW2 has to offer, because for me that is not a reason to pick up this game again. And, following the stated point of view, because i don’t play it anymore but i keep coming here hoping that finally i get a reason to do so, i find out that i cant discuss it because im not happy with the game.
Let me tell you something i do know. I do know when i log in that “other” mmorpg i instantly start missing GW2, but as i keep playing it i become aware why that “other” mmorpg rules this genre with no visible opposition.
While Anet excels in many other areas of development, the other developer excels in delivering content that grasps all corners of this genre, and does so openly and with a main goal: to give players what they want.
These guys are just masters of delivering content in all forms: pvp, pve, mini games, collectibles, lore, classes, professions, they just keep adding, adding, adding, until everything is covered, until everyone as a reason to log in , may not leave everyone happy, but will leave most players happy, some not very happy but with a reason to play, and others unhappy but still with a reason to play, and the occasional leavers.
Here, i just see, mounts no, GH we dont know, GvG we dont know (kudos for chris for the CDIs, gives me a bit of hope), cross professions skills no, Cantha no yes no, etc etc
I truly believe that ANet lacks in these 2 points, and i believe that improving on those 2 points would bring GW2 to where it belongs on top of this genre with the big guy.
I have played many AAA tittle, as many of my fellow “forum warriors” , and i know theres no other tittle out there that can match the impressive graphic quality, sound score and game mechanics of GW2, but its severely lacking on open communication with player base and therefor the inability to fast deliver content by ANet is constantly shaded by this lack of communication, because i dont know if its lack of money for development, lack of freedom for continuous development, lack of time, i mean, i do not know anything.
I do know this: if Mike O´Brien posted in the forums today saying that ANet is currently on low budget for development because the project took more resources than expected, and asking players what they think of a crowd funding project to speed and deliver content to GW2, i would be on top of that list to donate something from my pocket. Save this for future references.
My name is Alves, from Portugal, and i am a forum warrior, because i care for this game.
If we will ever get mounts i dont know.
This is what i do know:
1. Devs and players should fight to maintain a healthy game. Healthy equals players, and players equals game longevity.
2. Healthy equals balance. Balance in both PvE and PvP aspects of a game, and finding a way to provide as much content as possible to all kind of players.
3. All kind of players equals to pvp players, pve, dungeon raiders, questers, crafters, lore lovers, mini gamers, etc etc.
4. Building a successful game, always rolls around the same base pillar: finding a way to deliver all of this inside a functioning virtual fantasy world.
5.
- If players want mounts, give them mounts.
- Mounts may upset WvWvW balance? No mounts in PvP then. Give them so people can enjoy collecting them and showing them off in the living world map.
- Mounts upset current movement mechanics? Give mounts the base normal speed then.
- Mounts upset current waypoint design? Easy….
…. mounts wants to be happy also!! Mounts should be allowed to use waypoints also!!
Imagine the face on Jormag when he sees people port in riding a fierce Quaggan Storm Charger??!!
kitten nice.

Again, the primary concern of posters/players is whether the target person wrote/explained something in perfect english or gave an opinion on a given subject that matches 100% your own.
No one really cares, again, what can be done to keep players happy and increase player base, or at least stop it from bleeding heavily. Saw this kind of behavior in other AAA tittles that are no more.
GW2 is not, currently, the game that the majority of people was expecting it to be when they first bought it, or it wouldnt have only less than 400k players when the sales got as high as 3.5k.
The game is not in good shape, for all the reasons everyone knows. And when the next 2 major AAA mmorpg launch and with WOW WoD expansion coming up, GW2 will take another blast to its shell.
People need to start to listen to other players and start coming up with solutions than can be met at middle ground so that everyone is happy to some extent.
Inviting players to leave is just wrong, as im sure no one will have fun if GW2 servers go empty someday.
Learn to listen, learn to share.
What evidence do you have that Guild Wars 2 has less than 400k players? You say a lot of stuff, but I’m not sure you can back it up.
It was in the yearly report launched about digital games. I myself have also my doubts, because i find it hard to believe gw2 has that many active players.
You can find the report all over the internet and also in major gaming forums like mmorpg.com, ign , tenton etc etc.

Sad to hear Chris.
Heres my buddy. Name was Boris. Was with us for almost 15 years. Gone this past February.
One of the longest nights of my life. Me and my brother up all night until vet arrives to put him down in the morning. Closed his eyes, and no more.
Miss him alot. Still find myself looking for him when i get home.
Never will have another pet again.
- How could we get the benefits of open world guild halls in a system where guild halls are instanced?
This is probably where the Guild Hall Zones come into play again, given areas dedicated to Guild Halls makes it possible for players to explore these areas and thus see and experience the variety of different Guild Halls.
This is a rather biased statement but I still prefer my proposal of having primarily instanced Guild Halls but providing a set number of open world Guild Halls for guild to war over, that way the landscape isn’t cluttered and everyone still gets a Guild Hall.
You say war over space so let’s talk about that a bit.
I agree there is still conflict here but the biggest piece is reduced by allowing any guild with 5 members on a map together to have a place of their own. This definitely is missing an element of persistence but retains a large element of the visibility while reducing a large portion of the conflict.
In this kind of system what sort of non persistent things would be compelling to you and your guild?
Jon[/quote]
I am just an individual, i do not work in a large gaming company, i do not have Money to buy ANet and tell you guys what to do, but its very close
GH should be instanced and part of major capital cities. It would open so many possibilities and help to give life to the empty beautiful cities that ANet developed. Why cant we just start there?
Another amazing feature in GW1 that really needs to make its debut in GW2.
As the current set of available skills per class is rather short, and mechanics learning curve line is not step, i would say a difference between a skilled player and an average player in GW2 comes to factors like positioning and situational awareness.
Rotations are important, but not decisive.
Nah no mounts plz, it would be painful work to remove waypoints in the pve maps and give mounts to ppl move around and make them happy.
I mean, why make ppl happy and make them want to play this game, right?
Other than that, i cant think of many high successful mmos with mounts…
Things are what they are, and stand as they stand. We all know by now, developer and gamers, that GW2 is going through some hard processes and the chaos that emerges from those processes is natural.
Having people in the forums discussing ideas is, for me, a relief, because it shows that there are people still wanting to see gw2 become the game we all know it can be, and they are more than willing to spend some time debating those issues.
How can this not be a positive thing? It is. Ofc we all have to show a minimum degree of respect towards other ppl ideas.
Exploring every angle of a given issue and building a strong commitment to improve or develop a concept takes many many people and, most of the times, the best ideas come when taking small pieces of many arguments and glueing them together.
Remember what Hadrian once said “Brick by Brick my citizens, brick by brick”
- Guild Halls QoL
IMO the biggest QoL change that GH would bring to GW2 would only work as such if entry points for porting to your GH would be inside capital cities and major locations like the stronghold of ebonhawke, where the constant flow of players getting in or out of GH would help fill these places.
I know that most likely people would want a button to click and port there from any area in the game map, and well its the most logical thing to have, but i would like to see some of the major areas in the game populated and ill try to squeeze this factor where i can and i got some ideas for it.
I know if GH are to be a reality, ANet will most likely design formatted spaces that resemble areas of the game map. Those areas could well be extensions of capital cities and major locations.
Here is my idea for it:
Pros: help to increase the flow of population to major game hubs, like capital cities and other important areas.
Cons: FPS related issues when we get the WvWvW raid party stopping by for refreshments ?
Defining aspect of the concept —-—
This would require a player to teleport to the city pertaining his GH theme and not undermine the purpose of this concept by simply clicking a button on the UI and gaining access to the GH.
Add free teleport points to any major area in the game map from within the Guild Hall to help diminish the factor described above.
Pros: —-—
Improve the health of the game by increasing player population in major hubs. Don’t regard this as a minor factor. Empty cities are a major factor to player base loss.
Give Guild Halls a significant approaching factor between players and game lore.
Give Guild Halls as a human significant tool towards game content. Buttons in the UI to access game content makes it so shallow. There is almost no human interaction previous to starting a given activity in GW2, except in FotM where luckily players are given a small hub before starting the mini dungeons.
Cons —-—
When the population of the game starts to grow because of these changes, ANet will have to turbo boost the hamster spinning the wheel.
Thanks to Antonio, Paulo, Rui, Daniel, Mario and Sergio for helping me with this.
Welcome back Chris. Glad to see you.
Was just discussing with friends at dinner table about how we were missing your presence in the forums. Just telling them you are back
All of them sending you and every1 at ANet their best regards Hope everything is doing alright.
We have been talking about this subject for some time now, and we have something in a raw form to present. Ill post it l8r on, after coffee and whisky is served
You guys are very good players and i enjoyed reading your story. Thank you

Glad to have you back around Chris and i hope everything is ok
Im pretty sure you dont need to be concerned with the pause in this process. What we need is everyone to be doing great in real life.
So, for me, take your time and continue the process when you feel ready to.
I will see you guys tomorrow. Cheers everyone.
Epic bump. Come on people, squeeze this lemmon
Chris been missing for a day. Any news?
I’m not sure it’s appropriate to ask. He’s dealing with family issues. He’ll return when he returns.
I know he is dealing with family issues, thats why i asked. Im hoping for everything to be alright.
If Chris returns tomorrow or only next month is all the same for me, as long as everything is ok with him.
Just asking.
Chris been missing for a day. Any news?
@OP
Couldnt agree more with you.
Everyone should work together to achieve the goal that everyone that loves this game are, most surely, aiming for: to see the continuous development of gw2.
Its not healthy to disregard an idea of a given player in the first lines of a post, just because you do not agree with his/her view on the subject.
Best thing one can do is to give suggestions to how we can implement ideas that are possible of execution or, at least, give alternatives.
All of these would be amazing. Why not be able to go into dungeons or fractals with 2 people and 3 henchmen and have it designed to scale accordingly, or even solo with henchman and make each versions rewards unique. Too much content geared too specifically and it’s a waste. That said final request large new areas to explore and real reasons to explore them.
Just wanted to comment on this…
Living Story Missions aren’t like dungeons (group-play required) but those missions can be played in groups of 5 as well as alone.
Imho this scaling would feel great for regular dungeons as well. Don’t have 5 guys? Just go in there with your friend and experience it as well. Other games did this with dungeons (I remember LotRO) and had a lot of success with these modes.
I would love to see future dungeons be like that: really challenging for 5 players but also viable for small teams / solo players (for all the players who don’t like team content – quite a few). I know some people are soloing dungeons too, but this is hardly what I’m talking about since it takes a while to complete a dungeon without skipping most content.
I agree with both of these, with two “small” additions.
Henchmen: Anyone can get the default ones, but more interesting ones have to be earned and/or customized. Imagine if you could get a default class/skills for them, then customize the look. Normal costuming items and costs would apply, adding to gameplay.
Grouping: To encourage grouping, add a rare chance of something (Dungeon Tokens, maybe) dropping from each opponent. The chance is unaffected by MF, but it goes up the more real players are in the team. Ending rewards may be slightly nerfed to even things out.
+1
I don’t hate dungeons but I do hate having to deal with PUGs. I have a small circle of friends on GW2 and most of them aren’t available for dungeons when I am so if I go I have to pug or join and neither experience has left me wanting to do it more.
Being able to use henchmen to round out my party or scale it to solo would enable people like me to do dungeons more often (probably daily for some paths).
Just a quick note on this: all mmorpgs, or rpg online i have played, including gw1, that had or have a related “henchman” design, suffer from deterioting pve grouping content and loss of community social activity.
I know its a double edge blade, but if i have to chose ill go with finding a way to make grouping more fun and rewardable, rather than following a path that, imo, has almost nothing to do with what “mmorpg” should stand for.
I am still a bit cautious when it comes to gw2 future development, but im hoping for the best out of ANet dev team.
As for the game itself, if you are a true pve lover and explorer, you will love GW2. Its not perfect, but its kitten good.
Humm ok…
1. Get mounts in the game. Why? Well who likes to ride a horse or a polar bear or something else right?? I mean its soooo boring. Pfff bad idea at all. Actually i cant think of one successful mmorpg that has mounts.
2. Open Cantha. I mean this is just a bad idea overall. In fact we all should just write a petition and ask ANet to remove it from all the books and lore written so far. I should go as far as deleting the whole area in GW1 and say it was a virus attack or something. I mean, who would want a new wide open area map to explore, new meta events and possibly new classes or races associated with it?? Ridiculous.
3. Give a bit of everything to players. Lol what a ridiculous idea. I mean, im so happy with the game why i would even listen to some1 else wishes?? Pfff im ok with this. If i end up being the last player in the server its cool, i still can farm my legendary and hey i can try get a keep alone!! Awesome!!
Best of it is: i would be the only one in my server with a legendary and shinny gear!! Epix!!!
4: The ability to fire Asuran Special Forces into Enemy Keeps with a special Guild Trebuchet!!!!
Oh an attempt on a bit of humour eh?
Well, dont beat yourself up when on the next CDI players will start flooding the forum asking for this You started it and you are the only one to blame hehe
Arrr, gimme an old jolly bucket full of those little asura maties!! Me is gonna have some fun punching that wall arrr!
Q. What are the top 3 improvements you would like to see to Guilds in regard QOL and Logistics.
1. Guild Alliances and general related feature ( GvG content, alliance chat, alliance logistics)
2. Guild calendar and recruitment tools
3. Guild vault permissions and logistics management.
I really dont think this CDI serves the purpose of splitting the community into 2 sides and then wait for the better half to remain in the game.
No, this CDI, and future ones, serve as a approaching factor between developer and player in na attempt to find a compromise in the continuous development of GW2, one that serves and reaches all sides and aspects of the game.
Now, to find this compromisse one must avoid the “not, not a chance” and “yes, please go for it” type of statements, but focus on where and how can we help ANet decide what to focus their development.
This most likely will have to bet met at middle ground, where we will lose some things and gain another ones in return, with perhaps the most difficult task sits on how to do it by gaining the most, with the minimum loss and impact possible.
Guilds and everything related to them need to have a more significant impact in the game, and i know most people will agree on that, but ofc ANet will never overlook the player that likes to fly alone, and thus i dont believe ANet will ever make the fact of belonging to a guild something that gives an enormous edge over the lone wolf player.
But, like i said, lets try to find a compromisse here.
First i want the Kodan and a huge white bear warrior to love, then i can talk about a race to hate
So I was curious if anyone else has an experience to share.
However, I have posted to these forums for a while. I started a post a couple months ago that was very praising of ANET and the GW2 game as a whole.
I ran FOTM the next day after posting that and got an exotic drop in every boss chest, some good drops from Tequatl (including 2 different Ascended Weapon chests), several open world exotics, and quite a bit of other good things to boot.
Then on the flip side a day after the 9/9 patch came out I made 2 different very negative posts towards ANET / GW2 and their current direction. I then began to see terrible drops (mostly garbage) I have gotten at most 3 rares from Tequatl and I opened 50 champion bags last night with only 1 good drop in them.
Do you think it is possible that based on positive / negative feedback or “infraction points” we get +’ed or -’ed the RNG to sway in our favor or against us? (based on staff discretion or something).
I know this sounds very “Conspiracy Theory” type stuff… but I think nothing is coincidence.
I really dont think so…but just in case:
ANet i love you guys and gw2 is the best game ever made. (let the gold flow baby)
We must believe that the new found courage to bring gw2 community to the front of gw2 development is a true effort.
I dont have reasons to believe otherwise, or to believe that anet has halted development on gw2 and is now concerned only in managing whats left of the player base.
If such a time comes, ill be the first to say something about it. I have been an unhappy customer for a long time and only recently i reinstalled the game, following what it appears to be a genuine effort to push gw2 back to the top of the AAA mmorpgs.
Im writing this after deleting a wall of text that was getting me nowhere and im a bit tired of not being direct.
GW2 lore continuity needs a thunder push forward with higher dramatic impact.
Darker times calls for greater deeds and greater heroes, and the Destiny´s Edge is GW2 screaming lance.
While you think about this and soak the concept in, try to do so while listening to Soules GW2 OST, and created art design by Dociu and Kotaki, and feel the stories being sung and told by the “pictures of 1000 words”….
…what heroes are brought about in those stories?
Thank you.
Morning All,
I have just woken up and and am feeling decidedly unwell.
I am heading back to bed and will be back online tomorrow.
Chris
Hope you get better soon Chris.
I would send you some fresh hot baked cookies, but by the time they would get there they would be nothing more than uneatable rocks
Hi Chris, Mike, Jon and every1 at ANet,
i know its just a game. I know its not of significant impact to humanity. But, just by watching people working together to turn things around, makes me smile.
I do not know where this is going, but im glad ANet decided to give it a shot. I was getting bored of watching TV
You guys already achieved something i didnt thought it was possible: after almost 2 years i finally changed my signature to something positive hehe.
Take care and keep up the good work.
Best regards from my family to everyone in this community.
Ok time for a third topic.
Guild Halls.
I see this subject come up a lot in this thread and while we can talk about other aspects of Guild Halls at some point, let’s try another exercise.
What are the 3 top QOL features you think Guild Halls could provide that maybe couldn’t exist otherwise? Try not to list features that are beyond QOL, but I won’t hold it against you because its hard to do.
I’m out for the day hiking at Mt. Rainier but will try and return with my own top three later this weekend.
HI,
This is for me one of those double-edge subject.
While for me Guild Halls is a must have, i fear it will bring about another problem: the population in major towns.
Dont get me wrong because i love the concept of Guild Halls, but for me is far more important to find ways to max the use of already created content rather than jumping to generate new one and leave the rest abandoned.
Now, if the towns in GW2 were ugly and badly designed i wont even give it a thought, but they are not. They are simply the best designed cities i have ever seen in a game and nothing compares to it…just looking at Divinity’s Reach dazzles me and i lose myself trying to figure the amount of time and hard work that was put into designing it.
I fear the creation of Guild Halls will just worsen the problem that currently exists in GW2: there is no much of a reason to go to major towns after you are done with personal story, and if people can meet in a Guild Hall and have all services available there, it will definitely make this issue scale to a higher proportion.
It would be great if we could somehow fit the structure of Guild Halls or a similar concept using a major town as a way point to get inside the Guild Hall.
(edited by Clerigo.9475)
I can understand where this is coming from. I have played many MMORPGs which adapt the one guild per character system. So, basically, players will put their main characters in the main guild. Not only that, guilds in some MMORPGs have very limited slots. So, their alts might not even be allowed in the guild.
The players belonging to those guilds are much closer to each other in comparison to the players in Guild Wars 2. Perhaps, players are forced to interact with each other and these forceful interactions breed meaningful interactions.
Sadly, in guild wars 2, I have observed that many guilds are being treated like a service or running like a service provider while players are just numbers to perform certain activities. This type of guild is pretty meaningless, dull, uninteresting and pointless.
Some people might think that this is just a game and doesn’t have to get that serious into it; attachment, sense of belonging, loyalty, pride, etc. However, I think that a game can only be truly fun and interesting if people get that serious into it.
Great points here and I think what I am hinting at is that if there was a way to maintain the current guild functionality of multiple guilds but also add a way to really commit to a singular guild what are the features old and new that you think are important for your basic guilds vs your, for lack of a better term, “home” guild.
Jon

First i want to thank Cris and Jon for finally geting things moving, we hope.
Following your remarks, what is wrong with the orignal Guild system implemented in GW1? I mean in your opinion and in the opinion of the ANet dev team, could you accept that the design in GW1 brings more importance in belonging to a guild than the one in GW2?
Take all the sugar and goodies from the equation, remove all the nice graphics and interfaces, and look at the base design.
GW1 allows you to join a guild and every character you create is automatically added to that guild. Nothing fabulous here. But, then that guild can join other guilds and form an alliance with common goals.
Now transport this system (just looking at the base design) into everything ANet created in terms of content to GW2. It would automatically serve the player better than the current system implemented in GW2. I could ask if anyone wants to go do anything of what the game has to offer in the alliance chat. Just for that, it is better than the current system implemented and the LFG tool put together.
Just imagine what can be done with WvWvW with alliance forging? I mean you could even have a map of Alliance VS Alliance trying to assault or defend a keep!! What are you guys afraid of??
Now add all the features created for GW2 Guilds and measure every bit of content present in the game. Put every hour the dev team as worked to find a way to encompass the content being created that could be carried by guilds of 100 people and guilds of 10 people and again we can find the balance leaning toward the system that exists in GW1 better than the one GW2 has, so you guys cant really be losing all these hours with a design that has a working and fabulous structure in another game created by the same dev label, and that game si GW1. The structure just needs to evolve from the previous one, no need to invent a new one.
Im gonna put a stop here because too many things in my head and i cant discus them all, but basically ANet needs to really “bring the best of gw1 to gw2” and make it better just by refining that rough unpolished diamong GW1 is.
Im sorry if im being a bit vague, but this is a discussion for 1 million words or 100 hours around a table with alot of coffee, but i know its easy to understand where im going.
I really think that we should be discussing overall design and structure of guilds and not QoL improvements. That comes later. So to finish:
- Alliance forging = cant do without
- GvG pvp = cant do without
- Guild Halls = cant do without
- Sugar sweets and cream on top = cant do without
I really wish you all good luck and happy brain generated ideas. Ill keep on coming to this CDI and read all the great ideas, but im gonna save my brain for a CDI about Guild design.
I remember Nai saying that i was “closer to the stars”
Just saw now in dev tracker section that this is a confirmed bug.
You missed my point. I clearly know what combo fields are and how they work.
I asked if there is a INGAME-Tutorial which teaches you the basics of combo fields because a lot of people don’t grasp the concept of said fields. Seeing that they’re trying to put everything into tutorials, locking things behind gates etc. it would only make sense to have a combo field tutorial too…
Sorry, im so fueled up for the CDI with Cris that i missed the point of your post.
Any tutorials that help new players understand how to play the game and use mechanics at 100% is a must for me. So im with you.
Also of note I am not going to be able to get involved in the CDI past 6pm pst tonight. Is that still ok? I will catch up in the morning?
Chris
Im already at home with my familly after a days work. Its 11pm here and im talking to a monitor with a smile in my face.
Game is important, but family and real life is heaven. So for me you dont need to even ask stuff like that. Just say when you cant go any further.
Dear Chris Whiteside,
I am in complete agreement with what many people have suggested on this thread regarding the huge gaming changes made on September 9th: That the “new player experience”, level-gating, etc. should be left for players who have only just started the game for the first time, and leave it off or optional for those of us who have gotten farther in the game. I have two level 80s right now but enjoy making alts of different classes. Now I, quite frankly, fear creating a new character or playing the ones I have who are all under level 20. Sometimes I like to mix up my GW2 routine and work on alts and other classes, but now I don’t want to because I know of the heavy, stifling restrictions made on characters 1-20/30/40. I fear this patch will make you lose veteran players and not bring in as many new players as you wish. So I ask you, please take our complaints into consideration and find a compromise. The threads complaining about the changes are still alive and well into the second day of the patch. Surely this tells ANet something…
Hi,
I am planning on starting an alt again when i get some time. Why don’t we play together as I would like to experience it with you and hear your feedback.
Chris
You are making me install the client again….
….already going for it…
…..updating….
…im back…soon the clients hits 100%.
I really hope your renewed effort to make GW2 better is sincere. I dont have anything else to play. I dont want to play anything else.
Ok how about this. We continue to chat today, I get my doc done and we start the CDI tomorrow morning. I am happy either way. Let me know.
Chris
If i tell you a joke to set your mood high, will you start the CDI?
