Siege is a force multiplier. It basically turns 1 person into the equivalent of 3-5 damage wise.
Gear divide? I crafted full exotic armor days after I hit 80. :/
SoS seems to be doing good on every map but IOJ. Almost every time I check they don’t even have a supply camp.
Looks like you discovered our weak point. Yes, we don’t have enough people in NA prime time during the weekdays to fill up all maps. Don’t worry, we will keep fighting.

Spying has basically died since they changed it to 7 day transfer.
I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to siege up supply camps and it’s basically impossible to hold back unless you have equal or greater numbers than the attacking force.
That was an epic battle on SoR map last night in Garrison lords room around 5 PM EST. Respect for both sides.

Quickness in its current form is extremely unbalancing in WvW PvP.
I play a defensive spec Guardian with 3000 armor and a Warrior can pop Frenzy and do Hundred Blades and Bladetrail immediately after for over 12,000 damage in less than two seconds.
Time Warp in an organized portal bomb is absolutely devastating.

My pure support/tank WvW build. +1530 healing with 25 stacks.
Sylvari was the only race that appealed to me. Humans look too fake, almost doll like.
sPvP just doesn’t interest me and I played hundreds of hours on SWTOR doing Warzones.
Neverwinter Nights was the only MMO actual roleplaying game I’ve ever played. Hell, people STILL play it and it’s over 10 years old.
What’s lacking on the castles is a star design.
Your friends will be able to access the server you’re on for this event, no worries.
This makes sense why servers are showing full 24/7. I’m guessing you dropped the cap on what is a full server in preparation for the event.

Leveling in WvW is profitable if your server is roflstomping the others because you’ll be bouncing around retaking the same camps and keeps in a general area nonstop.
It’s a way of denying skill less zergs satisfaction.
I’ve been punted off cliffs and died several times and its annoying.
Cornsilk and Lava, but I blend in the colors with ligher / darker ones.
Probably shouldn’t give away strategy… but..
walking through a doorway into a catapult, ballistas, up a ramp with 8 or more defenders, dropping aoe, and gaurdian walls, etc.
Choke points. death traps.
Backing off as a door drops. stealth, drop portal. stablity, swiftness, and blink a portal up and behind seige, defenders. Hit them from behind.
We did that on HoD so it’s nothing new.
For every defensive strategy, no matter how in depth, there’s always an equal offensive strategy that can defeat it and vice versa.
That 15% boost in health was a very noticeable survivability increase and I miss it.
I transfered to a “high” pop server before (Maguma) and it was a ghost town. I went to every dungeon entrance and there was nobody insight. Next day I transfered to SoR and when I loaded there was 15 people there.
If you want to play on lower pop servers than you are going to have to suffer the consequences for it and that’s primarily the reason I only want to play on high pop servers.
SoR is full 6 am eastern time. It’s impossible for the server to be what I consider full outside prime time. There’s more commanders in Cursed Shore than in WvW I notice as well.
Also, I do see what people are complaining about with culling issues. Saw SoS use it yesterday to defend a keep and literally I was dead before anyone loaded on my screen. Perfectly viable strategy to flank your opponent, but when it’s abused the way it is than it’s borderline exploit. If a player is loaded on your screen than they should stay loaded even if they portal or are popping in and out of stealth.

This is getting dumb right now. Trying to transfer to a different server and it’s full 24/7. 6am, 6pm — it don’t matter.
I’m spending more time in character select than endgame.

WvW isn’t straight up 40 people battling 40, it’s fought in small pockets in different areas in the front.

Yes i would love this for my gard super tank/heal! I found karma gear that gives vit/healing/Precision it works out well (the Precision gives you a lot of on crit effects making your staff more effective)
Would say getting the wvw gear mixed with runes that give high cond dmg would that work for you? This is more for wvw and pve not spvp.
I’m trying to mix match pieces but Arah’s entrance has been bugged all week and weekend so I haven’t been able to buy the pieces from the karma vendor.
I honestly doubt that there is a prime time amount of players on the early morning on a NA server.
My Guardian had the same looking armor sets until lvl 60.
Did they drop the player count for what is classified as full? There is over a dozen servers that are listed full from dusk to dawn. I checked last night @ 8 pm and they were full and I got up 6 am this morning and they were still full.

The Arah Entrance has been closed all week on Sanctum of Ral due to a bug in the quest chain that prevents you from getting to the final event. :/

They stack. I’ve been mutilated many times by multiple arrow carts focus firing.
This isn’t about being a commander, but more like every other MMO where players don’t like being told what to do especially if they don’t agree with it.
I don’t know about you, but getting hit for 2500 a tick by Elemantist AOE is absurd.

SoR isn’t tier 1 material until we get start getting some WvW guilds to step up. Right now we’re mainly pugs following commanders and it’s a handicap when trying to be flexible on the field. Basically we’re stuck reacting more than taking the initiative because all the pugs follow one commander.
PRX basically runs the show once they hit the field because #1. they’re freaking huge and #2. they got very good commanders on VOIP. I remember them on HoD and they were my #2 choice of a guild I wanted to join.
People, most new and some old, seem to forget that SoR got attention not because we dominated or had 24/7 coverage, but that our T3/4 matches (Darkhaven/Shiverpeaks) were awesome by all accounts.
My personal opinion is because we, at that time, took WvW for what it is, a fun open field battle against other servers.
Not to knock people who want whatever waits in T1, nor SoS (…though I find them to be trying much harder for no reason), but…it really won’t be the “fair” exciting matchups we’ve had, where pugs and guilds with or without voice chat came together at that time.
My guess is…from just reading :p…that whichever server gets to T1 eventually gets 5-6+ hour queues, infighting, and then transfers onto lower tiers, and as a native on SoR…I’d hate to see that happen to our home.
The brackets aren’t even properly settled right now until we get the “dead” servers out of tiers they don’t belong in anymore. The week before this one was playing whack a mole against ET and TC who didn’t have enough players on. No disrespect to them, they didn’t give up.
Just to get to T1 you need a hierarchy, organization, and 24/7 coverage. Titan Alliance dominated because we had different guilds assigned to each map in specific coverage windows until we had a 24/7 blanket. Once Condemneds’ leadership jumped ship the whole thing collapsed and all the guilds dispersed to other servers (PRX being one of them).

I would like to see some mobile siege. Hell, make a tank that requires a driver and gunner.
You can log out when down, but you respawn dead and have to requeue.
Guardians and Mesmers are really the only classes that can change the outcome of battles in WvW.
So remove swords and you guys here posting can be the guy camping them for 3-5 hours a night and calling out inc.

I can solo camps + non-buffed Supervisor’s on my Guardian.
The incoming damage difference is much more noticeable especially if you’re used to have 3 orbs.
Without orbs I’ve been practically instant gibbed MANY times by warriors. They blow their haste, do Greatsword skills and dump 12,000 damage in 3 seconds on me when I have over 3,000 armor.
Having to put somebody as a permanent guard at a point is boring for them. In Condemned we use to have 1 person at every point we captured on VOIP and 98% of the time they were just sitting there watching movies while they were bored to death.
Swords are there to let players know something is going on, but if there’s a fog of war than it can be anything.
PRX must of really opened up recruitment because I remember them on HoD and they were a 1/3rd as big. It’s almost like the entire SoS team is PRX.
We’ve been doing good all week on SoR, but seems people stopped logging on after Wednesday. All today and yesterday when real action happens there’s nobody around.
It was nearly impossible to defend the keeps / towers near TC main base because they have a 20 second walk from their base while our castle was contested and we had to run 5 minutes back just to reinforce it. It’s battle of attrition and one sided at best.
