Here at Yaks we do the best with what we have and give everything. We spend time training pvers in the hope they join us more often. We do not expect to beat you (this week?) but maybe down the track an we will not loose sleep over it either. I like fighting mags you are worthy opponents but my expectations are that we give of our best.

So back to the fighting and I sincerely wish you well just stop denigrating other servers(no quality players) when you have the numbers. We have out scored you for the last 5 hours that’s my prime time (with a party of 5) sleep well and wake refreshed so you can zerg once more. Something we have no control over

I should point out, fights have nothing to do with PPT, he might be chest thumping, but responding with something that’s not at one point related to fights and instead PvD’ing, even when you said back to the fighting, you followed it up with a point about PPT, Gz on training your PvE bads. Our karma train apparently does that, I don’t think it does, and if by training PvE bads you mean giving them might and tailgating RAM/CL, then you’re doing a fine good job son.
It’s nice to know that people don’t like mag’s forum warriors. It means they’re doing their job.

I’m sorry (and please excuse the old tier references), but that’s no excuse for a T3 server to be outmanned in EB an hour after reset against two T2 servers. All that is is people giving up.

Giving up, true. But once again, the second we’d take anything we’d swiftly be reminded we shouldn’t have done so by the 2 80manwtfskilllag lawnmower zergs, even with a decent presence on the field we’d not have had a chance with the 2 larger servers divebombombing us for ppt, the people who would have been in eternal would have been better of doing something else…Like probably PvE or something.

Probably people tired of the crap match ups any server above t5 will be thrown into freaking weekly, I don’t think it’d be enough to drop a tier, Also, we only told people to leave once so we could drop and a tier, and those were useless fairweathers that propelled us to t3, who promptly ran away when we sounded got destroyed by I think kain or db the next week.
As a sidenote got some good roaming done yesterday on FABL, the only 1v1 I could convince either of the servers to get was a brilliant uplevel thief who as I was walking dived at me lighting hammer in hand, he died but I let him res because for the last hour every freaking player was a little zergling who were running from 3v1’s because obviously fighting doodz is less important than fighting doors.
Props to the [CRW] or…[CWR] thief, I wasn’t expecting p/d thief to be so strong anymore, god that was wrecking me up, seemed almost like a hard counter to what I was running at the time, good fights whoever you are, I didn’t want to have to hard down you the first time but you put me into downed and kept attacking :’(
This is me roaming against the only kind of fight I could get against TFV last night, pretty much anything less and they ran off to punch more doors.

Take the least threatening out the picture quickly and get on with the real fights, it’s happened to us before, it’ll happen to us again and we’ve done it plenty of times to the weakest server too. Simply put, in eternal was it even worth going there? We wouldn’t have been able to muster enough players to deal with the two queued groups roaming around the map taking stuff and killin’ doodz, why even bother? Might aswell be the phrase for the matchup.
Why even bother with the matchup when we’ll be dominated and won’t hold a single waypoint for most of the week, when we’ll be the first place NNK shows up with 60 people at as the clock strikes the Bonytime and the first to get large groups of FA or DB’s NA when we finally start taking stuff back because it’ll all be wooden and the easier target, it’s an uphill battle with very little rewards for playing, ‘Oh you want some good fights? Well darn you should have had more players on this late at night then sonny! Because you’re not going to get even close to an even fight.’

If despite the differences in populations people ran around in groups of 20(ish) like for example AGG does ~much respect~ even if we lost our whole BL and eternal I’d sure as hell keep fighting for the fun of fighting the other groups, the issue is that when the population stacks they don’t spread out with multiple groups of decent sizes. They all stack at one point and run around in wtfskilllag80manlawnmowers, we’ve done it with out karma trains and it’ll happen to us this week. But it sure as hell isn’t fun.

As I mainly roam I’m not going to find many 1v1’s….I’d settle for 1v2’s, it’s not going to happen because the size of a roaming community shrinks in comparison with size of the megazergs. We started zerging more and lost alot of our roamers, simply put they want more even fights so transfer down to where the fights are more suited to their needs, not going to blame them for it. Same as I’m not going to complain about the people that stack on the higher servers, because apparently wtfskilllag80manlawnmowers are fun for some people, I don’t see how, but others do and it’s their choice. I’ll complain that anet stuck us with a matchup that does this because it’s apparently fun? Right?

We’re going to lose, hard. It’s not that we’re losing why people won’t show up. Hell my favorite matches are one’s where we lose. People won’t show up because being roflstomped by 60 guys isn’t fun, fighting close to even numbers where actual ability comes into play, that’s fun, but that won’t happen this week. So. Why even bother?

wow glad to see fa packs a pvd zerg. i’m currently watching 40 people autoattack down reinforced doors on our nw tower because they got thwarted by two arrow carts. at least db’s pvd zerg had a double digit IQ.

What’s worse is they didn’t take out the cannon and all stacked ontop of each other, sadly my ability to stay on a cannon whilst being aoe’d by about 30 people is…mediocre at best.

As a side note, I’ve been issued to say I beat razi in a duel today like 4 times also, so basically bunny winning razi is kind of moot because I’m terribad, probably down to him having been up for like 18 hours at that point or something.

There’s actually an NPC I saw when I was ~cough PvE’ing cough~ and it had a stealth buff, where it was permanent until they took damage, I mean there is an actual stealth in the game that’s removed if you take damage, it’s there already.

Since I’ve been enjoying Mag’s company more and more recently, I decided to have a little think about the serious possibility of transferring over.

I’ve decided on some terms which, if sufficiently met, may seal the deal:

1. The Mag Pain-Train is renamed to Squirt’s Hurt-Train. I will be the sole commander. I don’t have a tag on my alt though so everybody will have to just remember what I look like and follow me. That should not be a problem though since militia are renowned for their co-ordination.
2. Maguuma is now an EB only server with everybody either being in EB, or queueing for EB. Other maps will not be tolerated.
3. DE|RP will be renamed to d*RE*p and will no longer be allowed to win GvGs.
4. Guardians are the only class allowed in WvW.
5. After several months the server has to fall apart, lose 70% of its WvW population and force me to transfer somewhere else.

I trust these are not too much to ask.
Also please let me know how much gold you plan to pay me to transfer.

Aslong as I don’t have to learn all the tower/camp/keep names and continue using cardinal directions, I’m okay with this.

If this is the same ONI I remember, they’re good peoples. With the tiers being so shambled from now on, an extra 20 players won’t have as much of an effect than in a stable tier system, Plus more duelers the merrier.

As far as rangers go, small group and solo, They’re in a good place. We’ve got some nice builds though mostly more bunkery right now.

The problem lies in organised guild groups, when we run as a team we have a group comp, glass eles and tanky guardians for backline damage and stability uptime is a must, mesmers and necros for ground control and heavy condition pressure…A must, hammer warriors are very good and venomshare thieves with SB for blasts….A must, those classes bring things that others can’t, that’s why they’re a staple of any good organised pushes, but rangers don’t have a place bar sometimes using muddy terrain and healing spring for water fields and condition cleansing, spirits are subpar for group comps. Like engis in wvw groups, we simply don’t have a role another class cannot do better, it’s just bad luck that we’re trumped in pretty much everything bar small group stuff right now. As it stands in a group of 10, it’s pretty much necessary to fill 9 of those roles above, rangers or engis are just kind of the 9th wheel and I feel somewhat detrimental to my guild when we do organised wvw sometimes despite the fact I’m running 4 group utilities

Felt like you guys had a lot too. Well, definitely felt like you queued our BL.

We had a pretty good turnout on your BL. There honestly wasn’t a queue, at least after the first hour or so. It was a lot of fun though. We had some pretty good fights at Hills. You guys deserved to hold it after the resistance you put up. My question is where was Kain? Assaults on a servers home borderland work much better when both the opposing servers show up.

They showed up with a group of maybe 15-20 but that was all they had for most of the night, a couple time they maybe hit 30 but one wipe and they’d drop in numbers again.

I hear that some WvW bear guilds wanting to transfer up Tiers to get more competitive fights. I understand some are feeling sore that Kaineng gets to fight for free than having to pour massive gold for the transfers. Some just gets lucky at the lottery

P.S. If you hurry, it’s cheaper to transfer to Kaineng now for the same fighting deal. Added benefit of no one will call you bandwagoning since everyone knows our NA/EU coverage is low

As a sidenote, only go to kaineng if you’re a kitten 007, they’ll call your name in victory over the team chat over and over, mass reporting is a sign of commitment over on kain, so always to remember to put your tags up kids!

I enjoyed watching this, I was going to point out though that the last clip you seemed to kind of outnumber that mag group by about 2:1, which in a video showing deep penetration really ruins the mood…yaknow, also during the yak’s clip, when you veiled. THERE WERE 2 VEILS, what a waste, other than those minor complaints. You penetrated deep brah.

Portal is useful for stacked defense/opening offense.
Simply put, unless you’re in a co-ordinated group or have enough time to spam ‘’STAND ON THIS’’ It’s not really worth bringing it to a fight over more fight/defense orientated abilities, it was kind of looked upon negatively for being able to move whole groups into empty keeps if one mesmer was good at hiding, most groups sweep towers/keeps to try and find them before they leave now.

If youre having problems with a class, then yes, this is the first thing you should do. Its not like looking up a build, watching youtube videos for 20-30 min to get a decent idea what to do and then taking it into sPVP for an afternoon is hard or anything…

Learning about other classes moves and how to counter them and knowing ahead of time what theyre likely to do is something good players find to be a standard thing to do. You wanna go into a fight and mash buttons and not care what your opponent does and still win I see, so I guess this skill based game isnt for you, have you ever thought about Hello Kitty Island Advanture? I think that might be more your speed since you dont want to put in any effort to learning about what the classes youll be fighting can do.

A thiefs ability to move from point A to point B is slower than most other classes, the only reason people think this isnt true is because you cant always tell which direction a thief is moving, and they have a habit of turning 90 degrees after stealthing to confuse their pursuers.

shortbow 5, shadowstepping, sword 2,dagger 2, steal, 25% speed signet, stealth.
Maybe getting from A—>B just running you might feel slower if you weren’t running shortbow, in a fight, you have one of the best movement from your mechanics (shadowsteps/stealths) You have an easy time engaging and disengaging from fights, it’s easier to avoid attacks, it’s easier to juke your opponent. It’s kitten fun fighting a thief who can juke too.

I think I’ll post my time on kaineng, I transferred maybe a month ago to the server to play more Spvp with some friends and because their guild ran zerg buster, kaineng dropped into mag’s tier the next week. I expected to be called a spy, once or twice, people to be hesitant and I play EU time, which is a pretty weak spot in most server’s timezones, maybe I’d have been a godsend, a disgusting godsend maybe but a godsend none the less.

My first day on in this tier went okay, I started off roaming in EB, and then some people started to follow me shrug So I pop my tag on and start leading an attack, great! Actually being able to do stuff on one of the first days I joined the server! 5 minutes later some great person spams, iirc the following in chat ‘’COLHEARTH IS MAG SPY DON’T FOLLOW OR U DIE’’ Okay…I was kind of expecting something similiar to happen so I tried to explain that I’m not a spy and if I wanted to spy why would I wear my darp tag with my icon on, at which point I was told I was a terrible spy….Thanks. At any rate map chat became a roar of ‘’Dat colherth is an spy’’ So I lost anyone following me and turned my tag off…How open of kaineng to accept transfers, transfers who hadn’t moved server since bwe1 and had purely played wvw for over a thousand hours, man.
Rinse and repeat, I joined this server to help out, I couldn’t care less about the score and all I wanted were some good fights against some buds, I managed to get one or two fights before being ousted as the worst spy in the history of forever. The same happened my whole time on kaineng, I decided it was time to transfer home when I got mass reported by XF for being a spy and using up supply and buying upgrades we didn’t need….while dancing, while they were near and insulted me for dancing….
Even though I was already here, I would have stayed if I’d enjoyed it more than mag, I get ousted, someone with more experience than most of your pugs. Even though I was a turn coat my guild funded my return, thanks <3

PS kaineng, you have the worst intercommunication I’ve ever seen. You need to work on that…Seriously.

That, and the ‘raid times’ were far too late in the evening for me… 9pm on a weeknight? Nah. Wait til you get bumped up, or we get bumped down (probably not for quite a while)… and see how many get beaten back to Dungeons…

I went somewhere that I know more people, and even when we are losing we are still out playing. I am simply showing respect to the several folks on Maguuma that have the same fighting (even when they’re losing) spirit as FA. They may not be the ‘greatest’ – but – They have some kickarse people over there in my opinion.

You mean the same Maguuma that deliberately lost to get to T4 twice? So they could pvd their way around? I’m confused. That is quite the fighting spirit.

If anyone from maguuma knows otherwise correct me if I’m wrong, the deliberately losing was a joke, we knew we was going down and we made humour out of a bad situation, at the time there were merely too many teams of a skill set of tier 2-3, it pushed us down (twice) as a result of this. And even in the jokes people didn’t want to go to tier 4 to PvD, you obviously just pulled that out of thin air, what’s with past and present [EA] members being so tense today? To yak’s, you got your act together. I’m impressed, 4 guilds working in unison each taking sections of the map, impressive situation awareness and amazing response times, I spent the whole night testing times for you to check a keep when it got x’s, never was in over 2 minutes and never did you bring less than 10 guys, your numbers have bloated since the last time we met, what with you having a bad time over in t4 at the time after kain, but glad to see you’re doing well, gj CL, AI, rawr and yum guilds

I switched to something similiar, still finishing the build, but I’m running 0/20/20/0/30 with prec traited into traps on the 20, and full PvT gear, sigil of gen on sb and null/battle on sword warhorn offhand
6x dolyak runes
TU/SotH/sic em/flame trap/RaO
Works very very well, particularly stacking trap whilst using horn 4+rao your pet and use buffs before going to town on them with the sword, what came together was over 24k dmg within less than 5 second whilst in full PvT gear against a friends full PvT ranger whilst they was in healing spring.

Also the build whilst building I’ve been running dungeons fine, micromanaging required to avoid aoe death to pet (but I did that already so no real change), spvp I played for the second or third time in some tpvp with a friend to test and got MvP without dying and I intend to use it for wvw once my build’s done. I got tired of killing CD bads over and over so I decided to solo guild groups from SBI. Here’s one of me killing most of the [EA] guild in one go. It was probably just a lucky battle though since I don’t actually have any skill and just save the wins instead of losses. I mentioned in another post how some of the MAG trash talk is point and laugh material…..this is a good example as are most by this person……cherry picked video like this is pretty meaningless. like another poster suggested, if you really want the credibility and recognition you seem to crave post an uncut video from when you leave spawn for an extended time through many uncut fights….everyone has their good and bad moments…showing highlights of just your good ones and trying to say it’s typical is very comical and is only “typical” of insecure children if anything.

That was a typical tsarazi moment though, that’s the thing. He isn’t saying mag’s good. We’re kittening terrible, he’s saying he’s good and on mag, there’s a distinct difference and maybe you think one player makes the server but it doesn’t, tsarazi is also one of the better cummanders on magrubma. That whole fight wasn’t cherrypicked because not only 5 minutes earlier he was bragging about a 3v1 he’d just won too. Although as is always said, the offer to duel him is yours, message him his name is on the forum, beat him and call him bluff or duel him lose and accept he’s an pretty cool player.

Point on guy before calling bluff, watch the video again, he got 5 kills. Same warrior twice and one necro add, so that’s 3 EA and an add, EA’s group looked to be roughly 6-10 strong so he wiped about half your group because your guild couldn’t work together and half decided to PvD clap

You made them sad by double teaming them with CD and letting CD keep their bl! Jerks!
