On GoM. The most we had was a 60 man wait on EB. SF BL was a little over 20 (That’s where ASH, ART, and Wurm went). GoM BL and DH BL were under 10. EB reduced and hoovered around 20 most of the night, but the BL were clear a few hours after reset.

Unlike Season 1, when all of bronze knew that HoD would take first. This 2nd go around should be fairly close. A lot of servers have claimed their guilds or part of their guilds are on “vacation”. We all know that when the tournament starts, the PvE AP grinders will come out in hordes to WvW. I like breaking up my predictions into brackets, its not a sure lock, but it helps judge where I think a server will be placed.

Yea, we came for DH on that, but seeing SF go in with the same amount made it all the more great and anticipating! DH had a good 25 – 30 as they popped orange swords on QL. SF had close to equal that. Looking back at the video it looked like some DH bailed out jumping from the sides, but as we smashed the lord’s room you can still see plenty of DH tags in there. Then it was all SF. Hell of a good fight and bags for days. And our whole 15ish didn’t survive. We lost close to half our numbers by the end of the fight, but finishing it with a handful of ASH, we were pumped up after that.

Who needs SM, when you can get fights like that in the cupcake factory!

DH brought a large group to take SM back, after spotting our little 15 man, half broke off to stack up across from us. We pushed them with a veil and wiped them, only after that, the rest of the group broke off to support the first half as we regrouped at the top of the stairs and push back down to wipe the rest of them.

After seeing a large DH group move into QL, the same 15 man group went to wipe them, but along comes an equally large SF group that pushes behind them, the 15 of us pushed the lord’s room and this is what happened to that large group while only having a handful of people left.

[RICH] was before my time in WvW, so I don’t know much about you, but it’s good to see old members coming back.

Well said Hectance, I can’t think of any better server I would want to be on. I get along with the majority of the people on the server and know them fairly well.

We got a huge OCX transfer from Arborstone, look out for Jiggle Your Wiggles [wigg].

That 15 minute fight inside ET garrison between ET and [ASH} was epic. Hopefully that fight sets the pace for the rest of week.

The door is always open in GoM for new players and guilds to join. We welcome both to GoM not just for the tournament, but even afterwards. We want out WvWers to feel comfortable, welcomed, and above all, to have fun.

Still 2 more matchups before things are set in stone.

I firmly believe that Fort Aspenwood should be in Gold, but given Dragonbrand’s more impressive wins against Stormbluff Isle and Sanctum of Rall, their rating could land them ahead of FA into the Gold league.

Pitting Dragonbrand against Mag and SoS next week should settle whether they can hang in the Gold league.

Sorrow’s Furnace is holding their own against HoD and Crystal Desert, pitting them next week against NSP will be interesting to see which one will end up in Silver.

Gold – Jade Quarry, Tarnished Coast, Blackgate, Maguuma, Sea of Sorrows, Dragonbrand.

Silver – Fort Aspenwood, Stormbluff Isle, Isle of Janthir, Borlis Pass, Yak’s Bend, Henge of Denravi, Crystal Desert, Sanctum of Rall, Sorrow’s Furnace.

Bronze – Darkhaven, Ferguson’s Crossing, Gate of Madness, Devona’s Rest, Northern Shiverpeaks, Kaineng, Ehmry Bay, Anvil Rock, Eredon Terrace.

Seeing the downward spiral that SoR is in, they should actually be in Bronze during the Tournament, but their rating won’t be low enough for quite some time. Shame. It will be close to between Dragonbrand and Fort Aspenwood when it comes to the Gold/Silver league cutoff. Same goes for Sorrow’s Furnace and Northern Shiverpeaks when it comes to Silver/Bronze. I would throw Ferguson’s Crossing into the mix, but after hearing they are purposely tanking so they can stay in Bronze (and try to get free transfers).

I’ll settle for a WXP reset before the tournament.

All of our WvW guilds get along with one another and respect each other, so no trolling guilds to worry about. We hold weekly meetings to discuss every matchup and coordinate with one another during the matchup.

It’s good to see Di/IoM is more accepting of different classes and builds, not forcing fellow guild players to run certain builds and only bring certain classes to run in WvW.

Well I watched the whole video, it sure dosnt show the capping or the talented mesmers that portaled the other group that capped inner. Where is he part where you capped hills 25 seconds later? So your trying to say 2 mesmers stayed hidden, one on inner and one for outer. The other half of your zerg ran all the way around the back and got portaled in. But of course you dont have video of the capping of either Bay or Hills as that would just prove our point.

You can’t claim hacking and have video evidence and not show a video of it being done.

All I am gonna say is that there was coordination, not hacking. If you can’t tell the difference, you need your eyes checked.

Hacks or not, its no excuse for allowing a 15 man GoM group in your borderland to waypoint your three keeps and fortify both Bay and Hills in 6 hours.

We should probably stop, since this is getting off-topic towards more of a match-up type thread.

I think we have established the fact we didn’t hack into the Darkhaven keeps or anything else in their borderlands. For anything else that happened in EB or another borderland, if you have more info on a particular player that hacked, say so and we will deal with it.

To the OP, the majority of GoM agrees that such hacks, especially certain hacks (plural) for Bay that many servers have taken advantage of, including ours, that need to stop and be fixed. But there are very few servers that still practice such methods and when it happens they put a stop to it, even by reporting their own players.

A thought occurred. Darkhaven, you do know you are blue for the week, right? Not green.

I know right. Instead of howling hacks from GoM, try to find a way to defend your borderlands from roaming groups. Something that most of the competition that faces GoM knows prides itself for. Roamers.

We run a tight knit community and I can’t say that we have never hacked, because it has happened, but when it does and another server has pointed it out, we have taken action to put a stop to it. We would rather lose than use hacks to catch up and win.

Thinking about it over the past couple of days, I think you are gonna see a huge shift in the rankings and tiers.

Your gonna see server transfers and servers that are still competing in the regular matchups will move up into the higher tiers while servers that stuff themselves into EotM will be in the bottom tiers.

For example, if SoR doesn’t care much for their matchup in tier 1, they will fall to tier 4 or whatever to reflect where they are suppose to be. Same goes for other servers that are on the bottom such kitten.

It’s going to take a month or two for the rankings to balance to themselves out.

It has damaged it for my server, FC isn’t a T1 server, it is far from it. All of our people are flocking to EotM and completely forsaking all of our WvW areas. WE DON’T EVEN HAVE OUR KEEP IN OUR BORDERLANDS OR EB…. it’s a pain, especially when you do so much to cap all the areas you can with a zerg and getting off only to get back on and see that everything is gone.

yet, FC/DH/NSP has the best looking matchup this week.

Cause when you are on the losing end. Edge of the Mists isn’t even fun to play.

Clearly Red side wants to get that point across.

The most favorite choice of guardians is focus, due to its Regen and blast finisher.

Personally I like the shield, but the one thing that makes the focus outweigh the shield is the blast finisher.

So how about adding a blast finisher to Shield of Absorption. But when the shield is detonated to heal allies. Much like the Magnetic Inversion that Engineers do with their shield skill.

Just a thought to give some incentive to guardians using the shield vs. the focus.

I agree with this. Its beginning to get to the point where upgrading keeps and towers are pointless if hackers are going to teleport themselves in and cap it.

But a handful of people complaining, won’t get attention. A large group of people will. Especially if it gets to the point that folks don’t want to WvW.

This week has brought some new (at least to me) tactics in taking a keep in WvW. One example was an hour after an attack on Bay, it was flipped without a wall or gate broken down and never had swords on it. It was swept several times and we had a small group inside placing siege in both inner and outer and never knew there was an attack until the NPC’s started attacking them. It was talked about extensively among the server because of the relative quickness and silent cap they did. The rumors were that they might have hacked into the game data and simply logged in right in the middle of the lord’s room. Others said there was a way to go underneath the map and practically walk into any tower or keep you could.

We didn’t have any screenshots or videos of this happening so we let it go. But then again, the same server, did the same thing again, just a different BL.

Then comes the big one. This was not the same server, but a different one. All 3 keeps in our BL flipped in less than 2 minutes. No outnumbered. No swords. No attacks from that server for several hours. These keeps were not paper, but reinforced and fortified. Some of the players in WvW said that all of sudden there was enemy thieves in the Lord’s Room. No siege. Nothing.

Maybe some of you can put a reasonable explanation on this. But I smell an exploit.

5 times in a row?! I’m starting a petition to have new people to be assigned to these WvW matchups.

DR seems to be going for one last hurrah.

I gotta give Kaineng some credit as they are persistent and don’t seem to give up. Though I have never come across a server that does more spawn camping than Kaineng.

That was a good fight inside our Garrison and then later on in DR’s Garrison last night.

I don’t know about anyone else, but facing off against DR for the 4th straight time?

Sigh, this week just started and I already want it to end.
