While you wait for your chest, I recommend watching this lovely video of Fry telling Anet to “FIX IT”!

Enjoy!
As long as I get the chest/tickets before the June 3rd Battle Historian is ready, I’ll be a happy camper.
Played since release, and I’ve never come across a hairstyle that I felt like went along with either gender. What do think are good hairstyles for the charr? Will they ever be able to have a decent hairstyle? or are they doomed to just be fuzzy?
The two things I don’t like about Boom Boom Baines, the lack of time you have to dodge her grenades. It should work like the regular engineer, the close she throws her grenades the less time there is for it to explode, but the farther away she throws them the longer it takes to explode.
Also, I don’t like the fact that the turrent seems to spawn 30 seconds after you kill it. Increasing it to 45 seconds or 60 seconds would be better.
Technically, it wouldn’t have been GoM. It would have been SF that went Silver, since they had the higher world rating at the time. GoM was on the rise, but not near the top just yet. SF had already spent two weeks in Silver, and was swapping out with NSP. That’s why I said back then, between NSP and SF only one of those servers would go Silver and the other would stay in Bronze since SoR’s rating was not low enough to get them into Bronze and allow both NSP and SF to go into Silver.
I like facing DR more than I do facing SF. So if your getting hate, it isn’t from me.
Let’s just say Season/Tournaments shouldn’t happen because people complain about them.
You make it sound like their complaints aren’t justified. People complain because ANet has failed to make a balanced product after 2 years.
If that is how you took my comment, who am I to argue.
My point is, if people want to complain about something, take it away from them.
Yes, but the reward system was much different than it was in Season 1. They said, your ranking would determine your rewards, but everyone got crappy rewards. This is more precise with ticket distribution.
But I agree, we will just have to wait and see how this turns out. it would suck if no one got 3rd place, 5th place, and 6th place rewards because of ties.
You mean 3rd, 5th and 6th.
See that is a huge difference based on the potential rewards. Basically its either FC/EB/DH get 3rd place rewards because they all finished with the 3rd highest points in the Tournament, or FC gets 4th place rewards, DH gets 5th place rewards, and EB gets 6th place rewards.
Let’s just say Season/Tournaments shouldn’t happen because people complain about them.
No, this is a legitimate bug. There are known inconsistencies. There are times that I gain some stacks on land and go underwater and lose my stacks, and then 5 minutes later, I’ll get stacks on land and go underwater, and the stacks will still be there, and vice versa. Stacks I get underwater sometimes follow me on land, and sometimes they don’t.
For example, on my ele I have staff and a trident. My trident has a sigil of life, while my staff doesn’t. Yesterday I went to Queensdale to experiement on the bug. I went underwater and got 5 stacks, got out of water and my stacks disappeared. I went to a merchant bought a scepter and sigil of life. I went back underwater got 5 stacks and got out of water, stacks stayed on. I picked up 5 more stacks on land with the scepter and got back in the water, stacks remained at 10. Got back on land and stacks stayed on, switch to the staff (that doesn’t have a life sigil on it) stacks disappear. I left to sell the scepter. Returned to get back into the water and picked up 5 stacks of Life on the trident. Got out of the water with the staff equipped, stacks stayed on!!! Now why, 5 minutes ago, they stacks disappeared with the staff equipped coming out of the water, but now stay on?
I don’t know what their intentions were, but the inconsistencies in stacks disappearing and staying between land and water, shows that there is a bug of some kind.

It’s been a hard 9 weeks for the folks in NA Bronze. Some weeks harder than some. Some weeks didn’t go like planned. Some weeks were decided early. In any case, the Tournament has had its moments, good and bad. So here are my thoughts on where the servers finish as the last week of the tournament approaches.
Prediction before the tournament started.
1. Gates of Madness
2. Sorrow’s Furnace
3. Devona’s Rest
4. Ferguson’s Crossing
5. Anvil Rock
6. Darkhaven
7. Kaineng
8. Eredon Terrace
9. Ehmry Bay
Not too shabby. DH will place ahead of AR though. EBay did better than I thought they would. In fact they might get a share of 3rd place if tiebreaker rules don’t apply. That would be a huge plus in rebuilding that server, since everyone else thought they would be at the bottom of the barrel.
So the final results MAY looking something like this.
1st place – GoM 45 points – Pretty much secured it in Week 7.
2nd place – SF/DR 29 points – Unlike Week 7, SF won’t let FC beat them again. Not for 2nd place. They’ll go all out. DR just plain stopped after Sunday, some think its because they can guarantee a win in Tier 7 and tie for 2nd place rather than fight SF for 2nd place. But in all honestly, they have put their placement in Tournament in the hands of GoM. For example, DR will have a maximum of 29 points with a win in Tier 7. Now if GoM wins Week 9, the maximum points SF or FC can have is 29. Making DR get a share of 2nd place. However if GoM takes 2nd in the matchup, SF or FC will have 31 total points, knocking DR to take 3rd place. And whoever finishes 3rd will be knocked down to 4th place with 27 points. But if GoM takes 3rd place in matchup, DR will share 3rd place with who ever took 2nd in the matchup to get 29 points. It’s kind of confusing I know, but the short version is GoM controls where DR gets placed in the Tournament.
3rd place – FC/DH/EB at 27 points – A 3 way tie for 3rd place. But I caution again, this could change a lot if GoM doesn’t win Week 9.
4th place – AR at 23 points – Even if [TBT] had stayed, it wouldn’t have been any better.
5th place – Kaineng at 21 points.
6th place – ET at 15 points.
That is what it would like if GoM takes first again in Week 9 to close out the Tournament and it is what I am predicting. However, for laughs, here is how it would look like it GoM takes 2nd and 3rd in Week 9.
1st – GoM at 43 points
2nd – SF at 31 points
3rd – DR at 29 points
4th – FC/DH/EB at 27 points
5th – AR at 23 points
6th – KAI at 21 points
7th – ET at 15 points
1st – GoM at 41 points
2nd – SF at 31 points
3rd – DR/FC at 29 points
4th – DH/EB at 27 points
5th – AR at 23 points
6th – KAI at 21 points
7th – ET at 15 points
So you can see that GoM controls who places in 2nd/3rd/4th place. HoD is also in the same spot as GoM in Silver. They control the outcome of those servers in Silver as well.
According to Anet – “If two teams have the same number of points, the team with the higher world rating will be considered the higher seed for the purposes of the matchup.” Those rules dictate a tiebreaker during the regular matchups for the Tournament.
My question is, will these rules apply to the end of the Tournament when the final points are added up? Or will it be like Season 1 where both servers share the same rank?
For example, in Bronze will we see something like this?
1st – GoM
2nd – SF/DR
3rd – FC/EB/DH
4th – AR
5th – KAI
6th – ET
or will it be like this? Where the world rating would decide the split between two servers with the same points.
1st – GoM
2nd – SF
3rd – DR
4th – FC
5th – DH
6th – EB
7th – AR
8th – KAI
9th – ET
Problem is I never had it on a particular character, it was in my bank space.
I remember getting one when I bought the Collector’s Edition, but ever since the wardrobe came out, I haven’t been able to find it. Am I just SOL, or can i get this back?
I seem to remember folks complaining about the random matchups last season. No one is ever going to be happy.
Yea it can be rather annoying to see them there. We have been called out many times as a small group and get blitzed as soon as we leave the citadel by a larger group. Only way they know which way we are leaving, is because the person inside Citadel is telling them which gate we are leaving out of.
Moving along, nothing to see here.
Every commander in Phoenix Ascendant [ASH]. Which I believe is 2/3rds of the guild.
You bring megaserver in WvW, and you remove the need for named servers. No more GoM, no more HoD, no more BG. It would be rendered useless to stack servers anymore. There would be no tiers. No Gold League, no Silver League. No Tier 1, no Tier 5 and so on. It would just be randomly matched guilds every week, with a bunch of pugs mixed in.
It would promote heavily towards GvG. Guilds that you have fought alongside with would more than likely be pitted against you, but guilds that you may have fought against would become your ally.
It wouldn’t solve the coverage problem either. You may see a coverage balance during primetime, but not overnight or early morning. Unlike WvW, PvE maps can afford to condense morning coverage to the megaserver. You can’t do that in WvW, you would either end up with SEA/OCX players being randomly moved to different sides every day to even things out, or Anet would have to “draft” certain guilds based on their active playing time to play on certain sides for a matchup. I don’t think Anet really keeps tabs on guilds active playing periods.
Megaserver itself was a double edged sword, it brought many good things and also many bad things to PvE.
In this scenario, you would get more bad out of this than more good.

Does this still work with the Attunement changes on the Elementalist since the April 15th patch?
Is this just theory? or confirmed?
Well I agree it should be free. But I’m simply playing to a pattern from Anet, which is to introduce something in the Gemstore, then eventually make it free. Rendering the item useless.
But I would much rather pay gems for such an item right now, than to not be able to do anything about it right now.
(edited by Moderator)
So I’m sure this idea has been proposed. At least I hope it has.
An item that allows us to reset our WvW trait points.
Will it ever be implemented into the game and have a purpose? My theory is when Anet decides to allow us to craft ascended trinkets. But who knows.
Should make for a very interesting Saturday evening.
Pretty sure this has been thought of, at least I hope so. Most of us know things can get a little hectic with Saturday Night Guild Missions when the reset happens on their server. But with the new Megaserver, are we gonna see a mass pileup of guilds fighting in the certain areas of the world competing with one another for missions such as Rushes, Puzzles, and Challenges?
You can’t deny a zerg an objective, just because you don’t have the equal numbers to defend.
So, more numbers should always win?
And people wonder why people stack servers… pffffft…
No, but they shouldn’t always lose.
Never liked the downed state, but you get rid of it, and where is the purpose of the finishers? You remove downed state from WvW, and finishers are only usable in sPvP. Something I don’t think a lot of people are going to support.
PvD is not always a guarantee win for the zerg. PvD only works on the Doors, hence the name, it cannot work against walls. Use that to place superior siege and invest in traits that allow you maximize the amount of damage you can do on that gate and your problems are solved. Unless of course your real issue is that there are only 5 of you defending against 75 people bashing their faces into the gate, then the issue isn’t PvD, its not having enough people to defend.
You can’t deny a zerg an objective, just because you don’t have the equal numbers to defend.
I don’t know where Jarros found that music, but it set the mood for the whole video and perfectly matched a zombie invasion.
Speaking for Bronze, it’s known that DR and Kaineng benefited from the transfers the most, Ehmry Bay saw some as well. Being on GoM, we had some individual transfers, but there were no guild transfers.
Here we are in week 3, and word of mouth is more folks have transferred out of the quite a few bronze league servers, but haven’t heard where they transferred to.
I feel like people “would” transfer to GoM and stack it in order to get on the bandwagon server that will likely take 1st place in Bronze. But given the steep price in the mid tournament transfer costs, that may limit individuals to transfer, rather than guilds.
Why should supply traps damage golems, when they don’t damage players who trigger them?
Supply traps should drain supply from golems, period. That’s their purpose.
Now if you want a trap that damages golems, that’s different. Maybe a tripwire trap that causes golems to take falling damage. Is that such a bad idea?
That made my day Jael, thank you!
Heard that TBT left Anvil Rock, true?
bump for the Madness!
I’ve seen practically every class in the game command. I’ve seen a mesmer command in EB and be very successful at it, its all about knowing your class and the “zerg” around you knowing their limits.
Players can stop this by simply watching what they build. If your on a gate attacking a keep and someone throws down a treb in the area of a ram, you build the ram blueprint, not the treb one. Once you know who it is that is throwing random siege like that, you should be able to report them.
As far as blocking interactions, might as well wait out the timer on it for the blueprint to disappear.
Burning through keep supply. I have heard some people recommend that only Commanders be able to throw siege. There is a fine line there. I can see an idea like that working and also being a burden.
No. Then everyone who wants the max tickets tries to cram into that 1 server that wins. Instead of the 3 that win the leagues.
Because I can’t see EBay beating the like of Anvil Rock or Darkhaven. Sorry.

already a thread on this. Bumped it since it was back on page 6
Bump for updated matches.
I found that you can still collect bags while in the downed state. Just spam AoE loot.
I’ve seen little havoc type squads running for SF. [Suns] [SONG] {Flan}. I’ve also seen quite a few [MLSS] tags. The thing is, its hard to tell which are PvE guilds running in WvW, or guilds that were created on the server for the purpose of WvW or just a transfer guild.
Just a general statement Clint, wasn’t directed specifically towards YOU.
Well yes, we did get transfers. [RISE] from Stormbluff Isle came back to GoM, about a month ago. It also wasn’t long ago that [Wurm] from Maguuma came back after leagues. Other than that, we haven’t had any major or minor guild transfers. We have had a few that inquired about transferring, but elected not to. We wish them the best, wherever they did transfer to, or if they stayed.
I just want to take a minute and point out, that 6 months ago, GoM lost a good chunk of its wvw population when Zombieland and other guilds transferred out before leagues. The rest of the population had a choice, we either stay in GoM and rebuild, or we can transfer too and start anew. They chose to stay and rebuild, and the effort and hardwork in training, recruiting, strategizing, and learning from other higher tier servers. All of that is paying off now and makes us feel very excited about the future.
So all the videos, threads, comments may come off as being kitteny or arrogant, but we really don’t mean to be. We are just very excited and happy to see that a server that could have tanked and stayed down, chose to rebuild and fight and reap the rewards of that effort.
You can continue trolling this thread now.
I will never support something that comes across as a “slap in the face” of gamers in other parts of the world that their time in the wvw game is less important and meaningless than the “majority” of North American gamers.
This one ranks up there, but the best one ever was Guild Wars when everyone was a mini.
Not a chance. Its only for 24 hours. Relax.
