I’m sure if all of this content remained in the game world the GW2 concurrent users would not fall so soon and we would have a much higher number of active players with all of this fun stuff to do left in the game.

besides disagreeing with every point you make i want to point out that the only problem this game has with concurrent players is that it has too many of them

head over to gw2guru for the best 1h and GS builds. If you want to dps and are able to dodge, zerker gear is the way to go in all cases. Untill you feel comfortable enough, knights is a good starter.

Thats the problem when you call a bunch of friends that do not even fill a GROUP a GUILD. Seriously, this has to stop – there was a guy over at guru who complained that he couldnt do every guild mission with his 2 friends he calls a guild. Man, i cant solo the guild puzzle, what a design failure.

Well, im sure you’re wrong, because it would be dumb to narrow my audience to some diffuse (but financial powerful for sure) audience. BUT if you are right, its another good decision from the great team You know … young nerds are so 80ies. There is LoL for you now.

Now its getting rediculous. 3 people are not even a group. dont call that a guild. we are a very small guild (10-15 online at weekends) and we do fine guild mission wise. the training helps alot (with influence – what its meant for). Stop this kitten. Tommorrow someone will open a topic about how he founded a guild by himself and now has troubles soloing guild missions and how unfair that is.

for me the main point is that a great game-mechanic is wasted now! (as i see the new KR as useless for me). i loved the situational, pbaoe effects in my otherwise ranged build – other classes (but ele) players in my guild didnt even know what i mean with kit swaping, when it was the center of my gamestyle. Now it feels like we are a bit more “of the same” gameplaywise (at least if you run hgh nades or something similar).

so anyone got troubles in pve? really? thats … well .. bad :P
There are enough 30+ frac engineers that will tell you we are fine. those are the people you should listen too. and mask or amadeus here? watch their videos. WvW = fine. go to the ranger forums, the warrior (!) forums or any (non guardian ^^) forums and find the same whiny attitude going on. its nothing engineer related – its the players. its you.

Well, if this is really the case (and I still think something is wrong with peoples perception) then there is something terribly wrong here. Why would Anet make the Warrior stronger then the engineer while giving him better armor too? Doesn’t make sense at all.

and again: no one is looking for “heavy armor”. all that counts is dps in full zerker (if you are min maxing) – and warriors/guards plus a mesmer do more dps than others. It is pretty unbelievable how uninformed these forums are.

havent encountered such mobs – but they sure sound great! there are plenty of options to stay alive – its good training for higher fractals.

player- and more important guild-housing is the only thing(s) im actually missing in this game atm :P

1 guard/1 mesmer/3 warriors is simply the best and easiest setup for speed dungeon runs – thats why they are in demand. If you need numbers, go to guru and look into the class forums – thats where the number crunchers meet up. you dont need to do that tho, as there are tons of videos showing that this group combination does complete CoF etc. fastest (and easiest!). In no way do i claim that those classes are better than other classes – i just want to answer your question why everyone is looking for them. it has nothing to do with “heavy armor” btw – as youll find out sooner or later, that full dps (zerker, …) is the only effective option for good players atm (sadly).

while every actual engineer player (and you are none) can see that the build is pathetic, i find it far more hillarious that you step in here, call everyone a whiner and present this troll-attempt of a build as good news …

while you got my smpathy for your mistake and the consequences, your whole post sounds ALOT like it would be good for you to step back from the GAME a bit and get your priorities straight. Someone whos emotions are influenced that much by what should be a relaxing hobby has rl troubles that have to be sorted first.

all good. the crying 3-man guilds are no guild. they are a group. as a guild (we are small to medium id say) i want to have long term goals. you soloers/rl friends only can still go and help bigger guilds to receive rewards.

Make Lengendaries easier to obtain, and you can replace all those “Precursors are too difficult to obtain” threads with and equal number of “Precursors are too easy to obtain” threads. If you guys really everyone and their dog to have one (hyperbole…calm down), then let’s change them from Legendary to Ubiquitous and just have players select the one they want during character creation.

well i guess thats what happens when you focus on 1 single thing in a game instead of having the often mentioned “fun”.
If you reply that doing all the content over and over with your guild and friends for that ominous “fun”-thing is not for you, then you might consider mmo’s are not your kind of games.
there will be more and different things to do over and over again with your guild and friends in the future – a lot of them. will you still be standing at the MF and curse rng as if you wouldnt have known that “random” means it can take you years to obtain a precursor? I dont get it, honestly, i would consider the journey you describe as “a lot of wasted time”. I wouldnt even log into a game for one second, to do something i dont like/find “fun”.

Every complain about not having a legendary yet while others do are related to one issue for me: you miss the gear progression of other games. what does that tell you?

What I’d like to know is, how many of these ominous power sellers/buyers are there and what is their real impact on the TP?

There are a few hundred players with a wealth beyond 1.000 g and at least about a dozen players who exceed 10.000 g.

The wealthiest player managed to make several hundred thousand gold from the TP, abusing every little design flaw.

This is achieved by (there are more tricks, bugs & exploits used ):

• Use of “hacks” to automatically extract the information from the TP (guess how GW2Spidy works, it uses a basic “hack” to update itself by accessing the TP server directly)
• Use of external tools to calculate margins on forgeable items (includes salvaging, regular crafting and MF crafting)
• Use of external statistic tools to predict daily / weekly / event based price fluctuations
• Cheating around TP fees (it is possible, not all traders do that)
• Placing orders, selling and withdrawing items automatically (this is new, since December there are bots which can do the TP without human interaction, not all traders do that)

erm, asking for speed buff on a perma swiftness/vigor profession …

altough SC Drop is for sure a great thing and the only viable engineer elite, the asura racial golems are very nice too actually. i use them more often these days (pve only obviously)

OP rifle/static discharge builds are all over the net. they work
thieves and mesmers lol.
