Quick Notes: We use ventrilo to communicate. We’re a casual guild.
Is there anywhere where ArenaNet informs players about the perks of being a commander and instructs one to set up attack/defense/rally waypoints or anything of the such. I looked for a while and could not find anything, can someone please teach me how to do these or direct me to where I can find out how to do these things.
People of every server learn over time which commanders to trust and which commanders always lead them to a death trap, I know I did the hard way. Another thing is that people may be easily able to get to the 100 gold milestone, I didn’t but I am not sure about others, but logically one would think whether or not they should get the commander’s compendium or not. Nobody will just blow away 100 gold just to get a tag that will be a deterrence to other people after they recognize him as a bad leader.
Was anyone there when we fortified Quentin Lake with about 6 ballistas and 2 arrow carts and SF came in waves trying to capture the tower and finally succeeded when they portal bombed us? That was a really fun battle, most fun I’ve ever had in WvW period. I wish I had a screenshoot of the fortifications in the tower.
I would love to see maybe a water themed map in World vs. World to encourage players to use the water combat and actually make it important to get new water weapons as you increase in levels because I, at level 80, still use a level 8 water weapon and can get away with it.
Why is everyone talking about paying? It doesn’t occur to most people that you can trade gold for gems… so you can just farm it if you’re skittish about hashing out real currency (one good day of farming).
But, if you are planning to come to ET, please contact one of the major guilds there. The server does attract a certain breed of player and it’s good to know the environment before committing… and what people have been saying is totally true. The small scale battles and mobility are definite draws. You get to know a lot of people playing because it’s a pretty tight knit group.
Are you just saying that to get more members into your guild?
I was with Kaineng for a long time, ever since Devona’s Rest was there and gave us a big whopping. I stayed in Kaineng through the tough times but I had enough once all the transfers came and ruined Kaineng. I completely agree with Fannwong about Kaineng not being ready for the remaining tiers. If zerging is all Kaineng’s got then they will be surprised to see the the outcome of this Friday’s match. Someone needs to stop Kaineng, all they have is numbers, no strategy.
I don’t think that it is one class is better than the other it’s just people do not like to play classes where you need to dedicate yourself to the class and it’s not something you can catch on with the playstyle in one day. Like the necromancer for example, they aren’t the easiest class to use but if one has mastered the class then I think that particular necromancer would be a very large threat to the enemy. I don’t know why people complain about the thieves being an overused class in World vs. World, I don’t see them all too much and even if I do, that doesn’t mean that they will instantly kill me, others expect that to happen therefore, they let it happen. I suggest to everyone looking for a new class certainly try one of the lesser used classes like the ranger, necromancer, and engineer; they can be a very large threat to the enemy if used correctly.
I hope in the World vs. World patch they can add a new underwater/series of islands map to put some emphasis on underwater combat because it is a really good combat system but not really used much in World vs. World, it would be really great to see some underwater battles, maybe even make the towers underwater too, that would be great!
I don’t think anyone here knew about this so I am just going to inform you all about it. There are crafting stations for every crafting profession in World vs. World in your teams specific borderlands in the Citadel Waypoint. Everything required for the daily challenge can be accomplished within World vs. World grounds.
According to http://www.guildwarsinsider.com/ ArenaNet will be manually adjusting the match up tiers for World vs. World. What are your predictions for which tier your server will be set to, or stay the same. I will start, I think Ferguson’s Crossing will stay in Tier 8.
I suggest that instead of asking on the forums, you join a guild within your server so they can teach you and possibly help you and make obtaining this gear/gold a much more fun experience. But if you are anti-social and do not want to be in a guild I suggest doing Citadel of Flame and Twilight Arbor, which is both easier to do with a guild.
Pregnant girlfriend comes first, my friend. On the other hand, once that matter is out of the way I suggest you control your spending’s in the game, if you wish to take it that seriously.
I am trying to create a mumble/ventrilo/teamspeak for my guild but I am having a difficult time setting it up. If someone could help me, that would be great. If it matters, I would like the server to have plenty of slots because my guild will be getting very large.
Maybe they can make World vs. World only accessible during certain times depending on whether the server is a US server or EU server but now that ArenaNet has already established no more free world transfers it will be impossible to follow this plan out unless they make exceptions.
I see where you are going with this but my guild The Ferg Mob, we captured the entire southern half of the red team borderlands and the rightmost keep (EH) single-handily and we could have captured the other keep too, and we did but that was when other people came from other guilds, not necessarily organized with each other, just randoms, so I won’t count that as my guild’s doing. We only had about 10 people within the map in my guild.

Ferguson’s Crossing has a lot of potential and now that I have my commander tag I plan on using that potential to bring down our enemies and hopefully put a stop to Sorrow’s Furnace once and for all
I still remember how happy I was when I was in Kaineng when Devona’s Rest left Tier 8, it’s good to see my old server put the smackdown on them once and for all. On the other hand, this is why I left Kaineng, because there is never, ever, anything to capture except for supply camps, which is quite boring to capture because its mainly a hit and run tactic the other teams used.
From the time I was in Kaineng to me, the NEO alliance seemed really organized and all but one major flaw is that at times there was nothing to capture in World vs. World at all to a point I started to get really bored of it so I switched to another server.
In my opinion I prefer being on the losing team or “the underdogs” more than being the winning team, in fact I switched servers just to be on an underdog server. I like to be able to make a difference in the server that I cannot make in a dominating server I guess, but that’s just me. ^.^
It would be really nice for ArenaNet to display the last time someone was on in the guild for the leader so they will know that if someone quit Guild Wars 2 they can kick them from the guild so it doesn’t take up space because as a guild leader I am quite scared to kick someone that I think quit the game because I think they might be on when I am not, I think adding this feature would really improve the guild system.
Yesterday we had an epic fight for Stonemist Castle, this was Ferguson’s Crossing’s little headquarters for our operation on Stonemist. The siege went really well and took a long time, I really enjoyed it, it’s been a while since I have been in a really good battle like that.
You know, I’ve been looking for a server to join these days for WvW but I’m not sure if I can buy into their advertisement spiel anymore. You say you can overcome any obstacle thrown at you, but if so, why are you still in Tier 8?
You do have a point, but the reasoning for us being in tier 8 is that FC started against strong opponents like Devona’s Rest and once DR moved up Kaineng stepped up and demolished us, but now they are gone.

The Ferg Mob is a recently made guild in the server of Ferguson’s Crossing and we are looking for new members to join our guild. If you are not in FC you might be wondering, why should I switch servers to join you, well here is a list of reasons, FC, from my understanding has a good playerbase in PvE and WvW. In WvW we do not use zergs, instead we use a technique suitable for our low numbers called guerilla tactics. WvW for the most part is very balanced.

I am on the server of Ferguson’s Crossing as well and own a guild known as TFM or The Ferg Mob, our goal is to improve our server as a community, we do WvW and PvE and use a VOIP called Raidcall for the guild. This is a good idea but possibly needs some retouching to balance it out so its fair, but this will really improve World vs. World for very unfair match-ups and actually give those smaller servers a chance to make a comeback even though they are outnumbered.
I am in the server of Kaineng ankittenhe leader of a guild known as MoT, we are a fairly large guild of 145 members, I myself am losing my interest in Guild Wars 2 and I think its because what I usually did before Kaineng became such a good server is do WvW and now in WvW our server controls every map and it is just boring. I recommended to my guild members that we should switch to another server that has a good, even WvW matchup and they all disagreed. What should I do?
As a guild leader it is hard to keep track of who is active and who is not, I do not want to kick someone who I think is inactive but is actually on when I am not, It would be really nice if ArenaNet could add a system to show you the last time someone is on in your guild so I can tell who is active and inactive and do as I wish from there.
In WvW you should be rewarded for upgrading a camp, tower, keep, and castle as if it was a dynamic event so people will actually use this wonderful feature ArenaNet has placed into the game and maybe to encourage people to do so there can be a minor change allowing thieves to scale onto a tower, nothing else, unless the said tower has the upgrade that prevents the thieves from scaling the tower, the upgrade should be in tier 2.
Thanks for the information and the reason why I need a quiet one is because I have a little brother and a sister that sleep pretty early in the night and I don’t want to wake them up. The 7750 is what I was first going to buy but it requires a 300 watt psu or better, doesn’t it?
Thank you Nitro for showing me that really good graphics card, I think I might buy that one but, my only concern is of the noise because the review said it makes noise but it is unclear wether or not it makes a lot of noise or just a little bit of noise because if its going to make noise to a point where I cannot stand it anymore I probably wont buy it.
