I really do not think necros need any attention outside of seeing their mediocre pets receiving some love. Can you explain what you feel needs to buffed because I honestly agree with the top 3 sentiment and probably the most balanced all around in my eyes.

Top 3?

1. Warriors
2. Guardians
3. Rangers

I think those are easily the top 3. I mean which one of those would you switch out for Necro?

Just wondering what everyone thinks is the most efficient class for solo farming at 80? Either DEs or just running around with a high magic find killing everything in sight for stuff to salvage for crafting materials? Approaching 80 with my Guardian(78) and also have a Necro that just hit 60.

End game in WoW is sitting in Stormwing/Org on your ICC Drake you got an expansion and 5 levels later thinking you are awesome at WoW cause you have 4 piece from LFR.

Also WoW has 1 raid currently and ZERO gear progression so please tell me how that is loads of end game?

There’s some skimpier heavy armor out there, but she’d be stuck with fuller coverage at first.

I might roll an elementalist just so she can watch me play one. Hell I might even end up changing from my Guardian but not likely as dieing as a Guardian is pretty much impossible and they take hardly any effort to play just keeping my shouts on cooldown.

If you’re new to MMOs and you want to play a cloth profession, I would go with Necromancer. It has the best durability/sustainability of the three cloth professions, with its life-stealing skills and minions tanking hits for you and its Death Shroud mechanic. Death Shroud in particular is really useful as a panic button, so if you’re worried about dying a lot, the Necro gives you a better chance to survive a dangerous encounter than the other two.

She said that was actually her first choice because she wanted to use a lot of pets but I told her they sucked and she changed her mind.

OK my girlfriend wants to maybe buy the game so letting her type out a question to see what class might be right for her. Cause Im not letting her use my account to experiment. Im having too much fun to take a break and sharing accounts is probably illegal just like in most MMOs anyways

Im new to MMOs and looking for a class that might be right for me. Id like to play a cloth(light armor) class and really thinking about an Elementalist but I have read that they are hard to play. The only other choices dont seem much better. I dont understand Mezmers at all, even after watching some videos and Necromancer everyone said needs the most work done out of all classes. Are they easy for a new player to pick up and start playing? Im not talking new to this game I mean new to any MMO. I dont want to play something thats going to make me frustrated because I die all the time.

Do you even play a necro?

Yes there are bugs with minions (sometimes not attacking your target) but so far i’m having a blast with mine.
Better control over the minions & fixing the not attacking bug would make for a better experience. I would say minions are (because of the chance that they dont attack) 50% worthless.
Rushing your flesh golem over a trail of enemies (10+) knocking them down is always fun in WvW, same for 8v8 spvp (so far max 5 in a row knocked down)

When I have 6 mobs around me im trying to loot I always pick up the stupid banner. They should just make it so it cant be picked up at all.

8000 is actually very good for a forum poll. I dont see why there arent less Elementalists. They are a very hard class to play with all the attunements you have to use and being very squishy.

Anyone know off hand what some skimpy plate models are? Female armor isnt supposed to be practical its supposed to seduce my enemies so they lose the will to fight and just give me their loot.

Eventually pets wont be able to hold agro like they can at lower levels. Even by level 45 my ranger was starting to pull agro off my bear with just auto attack and poison volley with a full condition build. Id go Guardian. Pretty much unkillable with the right builds and can still mow things down with 30 zeal and greatsword.

I love the skimpy look of some light armor pieces and hate almost every heavy armor piece. Is my Guardian going to look like a trash can forever or is there some skimpy plate bikini type armor around? I have looked through all the racial sets and the dungeon sets for heavy armor and just dont like the way any of them look. On the other hand I love the look of most light armor pieces but dont like any of the classes that can wear them.

I have tried selling mats I dont need for my crafting skill but people are selling everything for almost vendor cost. Logs it seems no one wants cause they are by far the cheapest. Also its usually just better to sell your looted items to the closest vendor rather than spending silver on salvage tools. Obviously greens and higher should be salvaged but has anyone found a good way to make gold? Do level 80 crafting materials sell for a decent amount? I just leveled my jewel crafting to 400 and tried listing the level 80 stuff I made but it was just better to sell it all to the vendor. Do level 80 DEs give good money and karma? Are there certain mobs to farm that have better drops?

I just wish people would stop selling everything for vendor cost and sometimes selling stuff for a loss. Its great for leveling my crafting but horrible for trying to make gold.

I think Anet already said Warriors were where they wanted them to be. What classes are close to feeling complete and what classes just feel like you have to do 10 times the work just to accomplish what the guy next to you is doing?

I think Guardians are pretty polished as well and Necros seem the most broke. Pets are horrible. They cant take hits and their AI is also terrible. Which sucks cause I wanted to play a minionmancer with dagger/warhorn fighting beside my pets. I still dont know what Mezmers are for.

At level 80 whats the most efficient farming build? Still better to go Greatsword and lots of offensive abilities and traits or would a mace/focus setup focused more on defense be better?

In any game you play the majority of your time will be spent at max level. So what is there to do for say the next 2 years while Im level 80? Am I supposed to farm DEs all day long for 700 days? Id be rich at least but I hope theres more to the game than that. I dont care about raids but what about events like Shadow Behemoth. Are there more of those at 80?

After taking lots of Xanex and using several backup keyboards after you break a few.

For a case I highly reccommend the Rosewill Blackhawk. Im running 9 total fans in mine and the only thing I can hear is the AC in the next room. Also has 4 USBs and your mic Jacks on the very top so they dont get in the way like cases that have them on the front panel or even worse in the back. I didnt know how to build a PC so I took my stuff to a friend to build it at a major PC repair shop in my town and he was shocked at how quiet it was. Said it was the quietest case hes ever seen

2500k is plenty of processing power once you OC it. I dont know why everyone wants to pay more for the higher ones. Also RAM is dirt cheap just throw in 16 GB. I can play 3 MMOs at once with 8 so 16 is overkill but why not?

Theres no possible way they are supposed to be this weak. Having to resummon them after every few mobs. Either let them regen health like ranger pets or please look into their survivability because right now they are wasted utility slots. Not to mention as with Ranger pets AI is pretty bad. They dont assist me at all, at least ranger pets do that much. And sometimes dont even attack.
