Just triple Backpack Regenerator’s base healing and then add healing power scaling.
What engis really lack is sustain, not armor.
I don’t get why they even have backpacks for kits when we already get on at character creation.
Just get rid of the kits backpack and let people choose wether or not to wear an actual backpack
While not instant it should definetly be shorter. 2 secs is just silly.
3/4 or 1 sec would be enough considering rifle’s other damage source can be negated by stepping aside…
Don’t know about bunker but you can easilly have around 1k regen per second with a banner build+adrenal health/regen signet/food
Considering that we have minor traits for 10% more crit for bursts and 10% damage on bleeding foes, I don’t know.
Well yeah, a lot of traits are just weird. Some minor traits are so strong, others really weak, even majors! Examples:
Back to the topic:
I think we would really benefit from new Adrenal Health. There are a lot of traits connected to using burst skill:
Exactly, we don’t need more.
Just take the adrenaline out of it completely and make it just another (Unique)passive regen like soothing mist.
Making it work on spending adrenaline would be a nerf unless the heal amount is quadrupled or more. Even then, taking a passive heal and turning it into an active heal is never a good thing as you lose out whenever you’re not bursting something.

Banner healing still better.
Since when have stun-locking warriors been a problem? Fear them when you get stunned and try not to let them repeatedly stun you.
If you had read the actual post you’d have noticed he says “for new necros” ya big troll
Just have Adrenal health and Banners scale more (much more) with healing power
But with the speed Anet moves about any real change won’t be here before 2016.
And by then we’ll all be playing wildstar or w/e
Those kitten boast 4 teams now working on live events, woopdeekittendoo, how many you got working on class improvement? Not nerfing, >>Improving<<
I’d rather they didn’t.
Maybe you people sit at range all day… but I prefer melee and the LAST place I want that squishy little spirit is right next to me getting cleaved while I’m tanking or evading the Boss. EDIT: Yeah okay if they skill split them to be immune to AoE’s/Cleaving in PvE (which miiiiight still be sorta balanced in WvW too), then yeah, go ahead and have them follow me I guess… but that’s a big IF for a class that Anet seems to be ignoring as hard as this one is being ignored.
Or they could make spirirts stay at ranged distance, Mindblowing I know.
Replace gear with berserker.
Use melee weapon.Profit.
And then
Delete Ranger
Roll Warrior
Do same thing but better
Profit
Its been discussed and it was decided that the Anet dev team couldn’t be bothered to code it, like every other suggestion that requires actual work of the devs’ part.
Do they even have a Ranger guy/team?
Truth is at this point, 90% of rangers would rather be rid of their pet or just have them as decorative fluff
Only thing toughness is good for in pugs is gaining aggro
Gearing toughness in the hope of reducing incoming damage is a silly concept as you’ll attract more hits your way
Vit all the way unless you want the aggro
This is actually a good idea. One of the main gripes with warriors is the lack of sustain. Then you tell them “Well spec Banners” to which the reply is “well banner builds sacrifice too much damage” which is true.
Instead of trying to buff the dps warriors’s sustain, why not just buff the banner warrior’s damage.
You know if Anet wasn’t so stubborn in admiting they made a mistake with the whole “No Mounts” concept this silly mess wouldn’t even be discussed.
Mesmers complain about the same thing btw
The main argument is “Well then Guards and mesmers would be OP in combat”
Well what if that movement speed was only usable outside of combat? What if it was unlockable? Oh i know, lets make it cute and have people want to collect them? Sounds familiar? no more “I can’t keep up with zerg” or “Moving around open PvE is hell” threads.
Instead they keep handing everybody 25% speed traits and signets. Guards/mesmers just got the short hand of the flawed stick.
Like anything that relies on Retaliation/Reflect for its damage I suppose the easy solution is to ignore him and slaughter the rest of his team.
If all he has is heal+retaliate, he won’t be able to kill anything either
So if they scale with my toughness, would stacking some toughness at the cost of power/condition while leveling be a good idea?
I get that I’ll be shattering them anyway, but its just so facepalm worthy when they die before i even get to shatter them.
I want to level a Mesmer, I know they supposedly become awesome at 40 with clone bleeds, but I can’t get past the fact that most of the time my clones get one shot before they even finish materializing (never could level one higher than 25 before deleting it, I tried all weapon styles, staff+combo fielding as well).
I don’t see anything in the traits that really seems to buff their healthpool outside of a meager 20% (probably still gonna get one shot regardless, whats the point of this trait?)
Overall the proffession just seems so kitten weak I don’t see how having my constantly dying in seconds clones having a chance to bleed on crit turn this class into uber roxor status…
Am I missing something? I look at the utilities and I see no damage whatsoever either

P/P definitely needs more love than a Master trait that “Maybe sometimes” gives you something “almost” as good as shortbow’s -baseline- auto-attacks.
Its just stupid…
I’ve had this on while leveling for a week or so and just realised, it hasn’t spawned a bomb on any of my dodge rolls, ever. ( and I do kite/dodge a lot).
What’s up with that?
Both Ranger and Thief should have access to the Rifle, would only make sense, just like Warrior having access to pistols
And lets not forget the fact that I have never had to change the build of my ranger while the thief, due to nerfs
Either lies or really bad ranger.
Also, LOL at OP asking for nerfs on other classes in order to make his look better. What the hell is wrong with you people.
Leave it unhealable but make it give you 50% of your health on coming out or it, then it could be used as an emergency heal and you wouldn’t need to rely on other people healing you while you’re in death shroud.
And that PVE down state bug is ridiculous, its a year past release, this kitten should be fixed already
Dungeon design is flawed in many ways, its the dev’s fault, not the player’s.
Hell, Defiant is a kittened backward system that really needs replacing.
Nobody’s getting replaced.
Lasy I checked this is GW2, there’s no hardcore content, no raids, no arena rating.
Unless your guild/friends are a bunch of self-important kittens there really isn’t a “Bring X class to win” mentality in this game.
In which case, you’re better off finding new people to play with.
Title says all.
Take my money dammit
As the topic title implies.
I play as a Ranger in every game that offers this class and is the only character I play because of dexterity issues, but, almost every time I turn around this class is continually hit with the nerf bat. This is the the issue right there.
The ranger in GW2 is NOT the Hunter in WoW.
It is not a slow play in the back class. Even for a toon that is “physically” in the back.
It is a super-fast reaction constantly on your toes changing up weapons, pets, position, utilities and skills class.
This is a James Brown class: hardest working class in the MMO, fall down in a seizure at the end. Papa needs a brand new bag, or papa’s ain’t getting much done.
Some think that’s thief, but thief might as well be AFK compared to how a well played ranger needs to be done.
For the ‘Hefner’ sit in your robe and grin while the win drapes itself on you class… you probably want something else. I’m going to guess a dual pistol elixir engineer – because that’s how mine plays out. But I’m not sure.
Its perfectly fair to expect a class that can be played by people with physical impairments. But don’t assume it is the pet class just because it is the pet class in another MMO.
If you have mobility impairment issues, consider engineer because they really can stand in one spot and fire away and still do pretty well. That play style is not found on ranger class with much success.
WoW’s Hunter actually has way more options and can be played to a level far above what is given to GW2’s ranger. I find it hillarious that you would use the Hunter as comparison to say the the Ranger is harder to master when in fact, the former has 10 times more control/micro-management over their pet while at the same time having 4-5 times the number of skill buttons.
If they’d give the Ranger as much complexity as Wow’s Hunter has, I wouldn’t be playing an Engineer while my ranger sits on the sideline.

My Engineer wants this so bad
