The thought of us balancing something so our own characters are stronger is simply ludicrous. A lot of devs that are directly involved with balance, myself included, tend to hop between professions quite often. Research, if you will. Theory and knowledge of mechanics can only go so far – the real key is getting your hands dirty.

Now, if things get serious in ranked queue (as they should), I’ll probably hop onto whatever I’m the most comfortable with just so I don’t bog my team down, but for the most part I like to keep things fresh by playing different professions.

Hey Josh one question : Have you ever played ranger in spvp ? or in wvw?
Haven’ t you noticed yet the lack of survival skills ranger has?^
I bet you don’ t play ranger. If you had you would have noticed all the the incredible limits ranger has ( F skills are useless compared to eviscerate and Others…our pets are simple useless and we all know that).
For this game sake : FIX RANGER
And please sometimes read ranger forum just to realise how much rangers are disappointed by their class.

For me ranger isn’ t a balanced class.
It’ s totally broken.
No survival skills, No decent F skills ( if our pets die we can’ t use our lame F skills LOL ) No matter what build you play all the other professions if played decently they’’ll stomp ranger.
Rangers been waiting for some love for our class ( The longbow isn’ t balanced at all becouse you have 0 survival if you use it, whereas other classes despite running zerg builds have many survival skills too : balance stances, stealth and so on) and this love never came.
So man my suggestion is : Don’ t play ranger. It will never be competitive.

A strong warrior will stomp a strong ranger, a strong ele will stomp a strong ranger,and so on…

Pets should be deleated or totally reworked.
Unfortunatly in gw2 playing with pets means playing without ^^F skills^^.
That’ s why ranger is so underpowered compared to other classes.

Endgame is quitting this game for me. They haven t fixed ranger after 2 years and half.

rangers are the worst class in gw2.
They have no survival skills, pet is hilarious ( compare ranger F skills with warriors Eviscerate for example ).
Gw2 developpers have never showed any attention or love to ranger problems. I’ m 100% sure noone of them plays ranger.

Ranger class has no future. Play another class or change game becouse unfortunatly our beloved ranger will forever suck compared to other classes ( warrior,ele ,mesmer and so on )

Unfortunatly man you can test every build you want…but nothing will change. Ranger is the most broken class in this game. Other classes are more than decent and have decent F skills..whereas ranger…well it has nothing viable above all concerning survival skills. That’ s why noone wants it in guild vs guild.
Don’ t do my same mistakes…don’ t play ranger and don’ t test things on ranger..it’ s wasted time… if you want to be competitive Play another class.

Zerker gear should be nerfed heavly. Till zerk gear exist there will be no balance in this game.

on an enemy?^ that’ s a veteran man XD Don’ t force me to add screens of my warrior with axe+ shield/ greatsword in pve XD The damage it deals is twice bigger than that rapid fire and you know warrior fanboy^^

The fact you are attacking me personally.. saying learn to play bla bla learn to dodge means that truly I did hit the point.
11k eviscerate is too much and you know that…but you LOVE that warrior is OP.
So instead of admitting that…. you keep trolling me. I really really hope that some developpers is reading this topic..It’ s too important that they do realise how warrior class needs to be tuned down. And maybe one day..( after eviscerate nerf) this game will be a a little more balanced..and maybe we’ll see in wvw other classes than warriors.

Anet should nerf istantly eviscerate for gw2 playerbase sake.

yes guys I know you play warrior and you defend your class i can understand it. But I’ m talking about F skills. An F skill can’ t do so much damage. But if we want to accept that amount of damage at least they should boost other classes F skills damage.

Now i play ranger..and today I’ ve encountered a warrior who hitted me 11k with eviscerate. He basicly nearly oneshotted me. Is this balance? I mean he dealt 11k dmg with a F skill…
How can a bust skill deal so much damage. When i look at Ranger F skills ( pet ones) i simply laugh. I wish a dev could answer to this post becouse i truly want to know if in the upcoming expansion there will be any sign of balance. Please let me know if something will be done for ranger class concerning f2 skills,pets,or ranger defensive skills in general.
I like only ranger( and this is my curse) but if things won t change I won’ t buy the expansion.
I don’ t ask too much I just want to play a balanced game.

Ranger is the worst class in gw2. Our skills and F2 kitten abilities are nothing compared to other classes. We asked more survival skills..more mobilty..better F2 skilss…usefull pets..but nothing arrived. Don’ t exepct too much for ranger in the next expansion..we all we’ll be ultra disappointed I’m sure

Now that the HOT is out of the bag, we’re able to update this thread with more details. With the introduction of the new account based mastery system for end-game progression and growth in PvE, we’ll also be re-evaluating our other systems of character progression to ensure they match our over-all pillars and goals for Gw2.

In doing so: we’re going to be removing the current trait unlocking system currently on live and replacing it with a more simplified system that supports where skills-traits-specializations are going in the future. Please Colin…this time try to balance Ranger class and make it as strong as the other classes. Ranger F2 skills are 100 times weaker than other classes F2 skills . Moreover ranger survival skills are nothing compared to the ones of a thief or of an elementalist..for not to talk about warriors. Please make gw2 ranger community happy..after 2 years and half of pure pain…

In this game right now there is nothing new. You will get bored in 1 week thrust me. Let’ s wait the expansion to start actually playing it again. Moreover If with the new expansion they don’ t bring balance(ranger status is kitten) i will simply not play it.

THE NORN starting area is bugged. All the people there are complaining. Please fix the level 1 story. People can’ t go on with their ingame content. They are blocked waiting and complaining about their purchase. There are certain gates that are supposed to open but they keep remaining closed. It’ s definetly a bug
