WvW is the same of 4 years ago.

There is no reason to play in it.

Ranger discrimination goes on since day 1.

It’ s not the person who plays ranger fault.

The fault lies in who didn’ t make ranger decent and viable in 4 years.

Excuse me guys but what’ s the sense of new pets if their mechanic is broken since 2012?^

I don’ t want to buy Hot and i want to play with people who didn’ t buy it.
Make a division only for us. At least the game would be fair.

Pets have the same problems of 2012.

In my opinion Ranger is bad as always.

Nothing has changed. We are not desired in pvp.

They along with most actual WvW players left the game, that is what happens when you largely neglect a game mode for 3 years, and the funny thing is even with the new attention WvW is receiving and these WvW polls, they haven’t actually done anything about the real problems with the game mode.

Then when that is topped of with the reality that the HoT powercreep (combined with powercreep from the change to 3 full traitlines) has made the combat in this game the most tedious, low skilled kitten it has ever been, then given the combat was the big selling point for a lot of WvW (& PvP) players, you have even more players leaving.

A lot of his statement is based on bias here, just so you’re aware.

A decent amount of those guilds fell apart because of egos and people going to play other games for awhile. A lot of the players came back already and have reformed under different names or just joined up with other guilds.

Dear josh you are totally wrong. You have no idea how many wvw players have left the game. If you are a wvw player look at your friendlist. You’ ll see how many wvw players don’ t log in anymore.
And remember when a game starts merging servers..there is only one reason for that : ^^^^^Population decrease^^^.

So complicated that this is one of the top reasons why me as a ranger I havent still bought Hot.

I’ m very happy of have never spent money to buy gems nor Hot.

Those guys at Anet simply killed my joy for Gw2.

At least me personally i know 10ish people who feels like me. Anet had really a great chance couse the base game was epic. But adding nothing important for wvw or pvp for 3 years..moreover adding an ^^ half finished expansion ^^ for 50$ wasn’ t a smart move.

That’ s why our money is still in our pocket.

So for a while now I have been on the sidelines just watching how this WvW disaster unfolds. There is one thing painfully obvious to me, and that is the fact that even now there isn’t much urgency shown by Anet. SAYING that it is top development priority doesn’t mean anything. Another thing I am curious about is the fact that Collin mentioned placing a heavy amount of resources towards the WvW. LOL WHAT? What does this even mean? More devs that don’t know what WvW is? PVE devs to add more PVE content? Because we all know they would never take resources away from their beloved esport dream. PvP takes top priority, no matter what they say. Honestly how many people are actually involved with WvW development?? Was there even one from the beginning or was WvW just a side projects for bored people at work to put out kitten content. Well kitten does seem to be Anet’s mantra so I guess it makes sense.

I have so many other questions, but I don’t wanna spend all day typing it all out, just I want to know. Where is the sense of urgency??? There are STILL big PVE and PVP updates happening, and WvW is still being put on the back burner despite massive dissatisfaction amongst the players. Seriously just some transparency goes a long way especially since most of the people that complain about this game are also the ones that care the most. Let me know your thoughts.

For me Anet failed at balancing. Look at the ranger class. It’ s always the same, with the same problems with the same limits for 3 years now.

You guys have no idea how many people didn’ t buy hot and how many people have actually quitted the game after buying hot for this unbalance game status.
Myself i can count at least 10 of my friends.
Immagine what will happen when games like black desert online and blade and soul are out.
What truly confuses me is that Azure I gave you evidence of a 10k shot saying that i have 3k armor, ( everyone knows that that skill is overpowered ) and you even attack me denying what i m saying?^ XD

I truly hope that devs don t share your same way of analyzing problems Azure.

The team is actively working on balance changes. You may have seen this thread about upcoming changes to WvW. The changes outlined in that thread were based on designer analysis, testing, observations, and on input from players. After it was posted, the thread then gathered a lot of valuable player feedback which assisted in the development and polishing of changes that will be rolled out in the future.

Why would you hold on to that incredibly flawed system? Since BWE people complain that the system is neither intuitive nor consistent. Certain skills have infinitely higher potential to generate AF than other just due to the way they work, Troll Unguent being an example.

What is so freaking hard about linking it to percentage of healing/damage done instead of counting individual ticks. Should have done this in the first place but atleast do it now or every further balancing is effectively worthless since it is based on a flawed system.

My intentions are to buy HoT at some point but I wanted to see how this played out. I purchased with real $$$$ GW2.0 (x3) almost 3 years ago so I am not a freeloader. I wish to thank ArenaNet for making this game free. They really improved communication. Before HoT expansion I did not receive many whispers, but now I get a lot of whispers about gold selling offers and about websites selling items. This is so awesome.

What is SotW ? Sorry it’ s long time since i played

I’ ve decided not to buy hot for current ranger/ druid status. Moreover as a wvw player, i had the chance to roam in the new borderlands. They are too huge and i spent nearly 30 mins before having a single encounter and as a ranger you can immagine what happened to me XD.
So to sum up : I’ ve quit wvw and proly the game soon.
I hope my post won’ t offend anyone, any dev, and so on. Just writing my experience after 7000 hours + of Gw2.

We all guys might have different ideas regarding ranger and druid… and i can understand….but truly on a pvp aspect druid is not viable at all.

Things go like that for ranger since day one. And i bet things will go on like that for another 3 years XD
