I don’ t understand why you guys don’ t like the dragonhunter.

For me it has a nice design and it can be very strong both in pvp and wvw with his extra mobility.

Moreover MANY of you have always wrote that ranger is strong and without problems or limits.
Now dragonhunter reminds a ranger in its mechanics…..SOOO Why do you complain then ?

For sure you don’ t play pvp. You play only pve. Becouse if you played pvp..you would realise how not balanced is this game..look at ranger status in pvp for example.

Why Anet? Why can I not find a decent fight before some no-skill longbow ranger bursts me down from 1500 range on a wall. IT MAKES NO SENSE. There is no movement in their strategy, no thought in their skill usage and no variation in their builds.

It’s a kittening disgrace to a game that used to have fun combat.

In my opinion druids must have 2 things : MOBILITY and DEFENCE
If the staff doesn’ t give mobility..for me..it will be nearly useless in wvw and i will never use it.

For me mate It’ s not a good trait.
That specialization line itsself isn’ t strong at all unfortunatly.

Protection to the pet?^ What’ s the logic in it ?^
If the protection goes to the ranger ok it’ s a good trait.
If not…It’ s useless. I will never spend an entire specialization line for it..

1) what about CONDITION DURATION and BOON DURATION in our current trait lines?

2) Ranger traits are right now epicly useless compared to those of other classes. If you remove the stats from trait lines..what’ s will be left to rangers?
You should rework all rangers traits becouse they very unbalanced and i bet a ranger won’ t have a chance to survive or to be usefull in any party.

Druid will be broken too and they will get stomped heavily both in pvp and wvw.

Becouse rangers right now get stomped by every decent player.
And i underline that your kills vs nab mesmers or warriors or engi doesn t count.
Play against a decent mesmer or engi in pvp and you ll get stomped no matter what.
Learn to play issue?
Nah I think it’ s more a giving up on a broken class issue.

EVERY class in this game is better than ranger. Everyone knows that.

There may be a lot of emotions in my thoughts, so please try to take what I’m about to say from the right perspective and if you don’t have anything reasonable to add then just remain silent, thank you. Also, bear in mind, that English is not my mother tongue.

I feel really down and disappointed about the ranger. I tried to figure it out day after day for the past month and something (almost two months and yer, I’m new to the game), but despite the many people I bested in PVP both in close and long range combat I feel the class isn’t balanced at all when talking about manouverability.

From a reasonable perspective, any archer in any game, and in real life of course (snipers, hunters and such) ought to demonstrate flawless manouverability and positioning, which they depend on and outlines their survival.

I mean, who the f* designed a class that is supposed to be extremely agile and hard to catch to move like a turtle instead, unless one uses a horn or the shout build to give himself and the party swiftness with regeneration or uses another combination to achieve movement boost.

I don’t know by what other means than the above mentioned and eg. the sword skill to jump and leap, or the greatsword’s rush you guys use to achieve better movement but frankly, I tried what I believed to be the most reasonable options for both condi and/or sniping builds, both of which fail at movement if you go let’s say LB/GS, or LB/sword + weapon of your choice for sniping or for condi builds axe/torch + sword/dagger or otherwise.

A bloody guardian that wears heavy armour and heavy weaponry should by definition be a very slow runner, but no, he has teleportation skills and can swing through the battlefield with his sword and other very helpful stuff. What the…

Why don’t rangers have supreme evasion skills like in most games allowing for swift repositioning? Why the hell have we, when in combat mode, been given a movement pace of a snail while an elementalist can get up to 25% if wearing two daggers?

Example: you run a condi build where you don’t include the movement signet because you need other utilities, you enter combat = what the heck is with that movement speed??? You’re dead if you move 0.5 km/h.

I’d like to hear how you guys manage.

Man you are totally right. Some White knight here will tell you learn to play but they have no idea how limited ranger is compared to other classes.
Unfortunatly ranger is totally broken.
I ve already gave up on it.
And I have to be honest I’ m little by little, quitting this game becouse ranger is the only class I actually like..but compared to Others…ranger is 0 worthy.
So i truly understand you man and your disappointemnt.
Let’ s hope that new games where ranger is decent…will come out soon. Gw2 isn’ t one of these games

Hey there. The activation time of ranger axe#3 (winter’s bite ) has been doubled. Now it’ s 1s while it used to be 0.5s.
It’ s definetly a bug.

I have no words to describe how bad this new borderland in my opinion is..
First of all It’ s too big : Immagine a low populated server trying to keep their things, immagine Vabbi in it..nonsense.
Second : Replacing the old alpine borderlands will make me and many friends of mine quit : Reason?^ I don’ t want to spend 30 min walking to find an enemy Group.

Hello guys. I have a question for you : How a ranger can survive vs a revenant?^
Ranger has so many limits right now compared to other classes in terms of survival skills..for not to talk about pets limits. Fighting versus a revenant will simply be the end for ranger.

MMM I think it s more like : ^^learn to survive versus ultra op classes issue^^ and rangers nowadays are used to that

You are warned : If you totally remove alpine border from weekly matchups ( we don’ t care for wvw tournaments in which you might bring it back It’ s not the point )…well that will be your biggest mistake.

Hello guys. I have one question about condi dmg couse I can ’ t understand what’ s happening with it.

For example, a 1.5-second burn would deal 1 second of burning damage, then fail to inflict the remaining 0.5 seconds of burning. Conditions will now deal this fractional damage either at the beginning or end of their duration, depending on when the next damage pulse would occur and their remaining duration.

The question is : Does condition dmg works properly as it’ s intented..or it got boosted?
I don’ t get if that 0.5 seconds of remaining burning used to be applied in the past or not…or if it was a recent issue.
Can anyone explain me plz? XD

Stability changes are bad. You cannot outrun anymore zergs. You ’’ ll die easily.
This game is purely becoming a game of numbers and not skills.
I miss gw2 first days

For me The new exapansion will be a great disappointment for wvw community.
I have this feeling..and it gets stronger every day.
For example : What’ s the sense in replacing the Alpine borderlands with the new map? The Alpine borderlands are ultra cool and I’ ve had there my best wvw times with my guildies.
It’s a non sense truly. Moreover i totally don’ t like eotm map style..Vertical stuff bah..
I’ m not a climber :P
That’ s why Anet in my opinion is going to make an epic mistake.
And such mistakes in my opinion will make gw2 die.
I want to uderline that many people that i know share my same opinion on this aspect ( freinds guildies random pugs :P ) So..let’ s hope I’ m wrong for gw2 sake..

There is nothing to experiment. Ranger class is dead. And with the rampage as one nerf it’ s even more dead.
