I made 60+ badges off of that moment from DB and JQ. I was one of the guys on the AC just raining hell. It was crazy.

We are a Guild that was reformed from a division of a competitive E-Sports Organization during BWE1-BWE3 of Guild Wars 2 into what is now known as the Guild Applied Tactics. ‘ATac’ for short, is a competitive Guild focused mainly on WvW, as well as end game progression content that may be available in GW2. As a Guild, our main goal in aspects of PvP are to dominate and lead our particular server of choice to a top ranking in WvW, as well as compete in major tournaments held by both ArenaNet.

We offer our members a fully functional webpage (Enjin) including forums, Teamspeak, and a well-organized and structured community that can migrate through multiple games together. ATac is an organized, and team oriented Guild that made our bones by establishing ourselves as a tactical force that aimed to outplay the ‘zerg’ of WvW in Guild Wars 2 and having a structured system of play for all of our squads/teams. Our member base is 25-30 active members strong, and focuses on team play, communication, and most importantly having fun with a competitive yet laid back atmosphere.

We accept all from the most competitive of players to those who want to learn and grow as an aspiring PvP player into our community. Though our main focus is and will always be PvP in all forms, we believe in forming a bond and creating a community of all types of players to be successful at our focus game.

WvW - We are looking for team oriented players, with great communication skills, who are willing to put forth dedication to playing and learning the strategy and tactics (metagame) behind WvW to compete with servers that vastly outnumber ourselves. Infamy will be striving to be known as a figurehead Guild of our server, and known to the other servers as one that can hold out and siege against twice our numbers. Admittedly, I jumped the gun with assuming that the attitude was taken by most of the server, and I sincerely apologize for that. I was more trying to give an example of what I heard rather than call out a specific guild for it, which is what it seems I did. It was a first-time run in with talking to people from [MERC] and everyone was friendly, cooperative, and etc besides that, so I was by no means saying [MERC] is a bad guild by extension.

Since posting this thread yesterday, and before replying earlier this morning, I talked over a transfer with my co-leader, and we decided against it for a few reasons, one being the gigantic respect we’ve developed for people in AOI, many of them from various guilds within the alliance. Blackgate has some of the most dedicated players I’ve run into on any online community, and it’s made me appreciate the server a lot more as a whole, due to that dedication. We’ve been working along a lot of those guilds in SoR BL here lately, and it’s been great fun.

MERC is a great guild and there’s lots to learn from them. I hope you didn’t take anything seriously from MERC because someone could had said that when we were getting completely dominated and outnumbered very badly. Hope to see you on later tonight. I’m from Blackgate, and the way that smaller guilds are kinda looked down on here, it’s made me want to move. However, all the medium population servers are European, so what do I do? Any recommendations?I’d really love to feel like I and my guild belong in WvW somewhere.

What guilds are looking down on others? Send me a tell in-game so I can get in contact with the GM’s, because to be honest small guilds are essential to the success of the server. Anyways if you do chose to move I’d recommend ET because they need the numbers all round, and good luck

I would like to reply to every post that needs one at once, but I have no idea how all these forum buttons and springs and contraptions do, so it’ll be one at a time, unfortunately.

I appreciate your post, but it was actually someone from [MERC] that said it. Backstory: I logged on to command two mornings ago, around 6am-7am central U.S time. I was told in commander chat that Blackgate needed one, so I headed in there. Everything’s going alright, as best as you can hope for in the morning during the lull between SEA and U.S playing time.

There was a guild running around separate from my group, about five or six of them with said guild, running havoc south while we tried to take back our northern towers and Garrison.

Someone in teamspeak mentioned they should be with our group, since we were already minimally sized as it was. While I agreed with him, I said, “At the very least, it’s nice to have a small group running havoc to give us time to do what we need to do.” To which a different person replied, “Havoc parties are just small guilds pretending they actually do something around here.”

I’ll leave it at that. As for the person elsewhere in the thread who mentioned not needing a commander tag for leading your guild around— I agree completely. I’ve noticed too many strange command chains in BG BL lately especially. It’s called for in SoR BL, due to how hard we’re holding the hills right now, but I haven’t seen any reason for it in BG half the time. When I’m leading my guild around, and other commanders are up and about, I leave my tag off to avoid confusion.

I’ve seen you around a lot and we’ve actually spoke on TS before. However as someone mentioned above, one person doesn’t represent the whole server. The AOI alliance does the same as you and your guild. I’m in ATac myself and we in no way run in huge numbers, you’ve probably seen us before (ATac, OnS, DR, Work, VI and more) as well and they do the same thing. We’re all small guilds that do our own thing until everyone is needed in one place. And we really appreciate what you’ve done for the server.

You must had been one of those guys that I pulled off the wall into our zerg. No one told you to be Mr. Hero and try to aoe a zerg of 50. There is a reason there was edges, make use of it.

People that’s in the JP shouldn’t count towards the queue, I usually see like 20 people in there taking up the precious queue for people that actually want to do WvW.

And there’s a JQ hacking teleporting or going underwater and hitting all the gates on our keeps with a golem. Yawn…

I hate rangers because most of them use their knockback when they don’t need to.

I’ve equipped the precursor, rune’d it and I was still able to make my legenadary.

Does it have any flaming effects or is it just a plain axe?

RNG is going to be RNG, you can go years without a drop or if you’re lucky, you can get a drop every chest.

The thing I hate is, when I see someone with 2k+ achievement points on a level 35. I ask them hold up man, what’s the deal? And they usually tell me leveling my alt. This pisses me off because, if I’m leveling my alt, I’ll stay on my main and swap to my alt when the boss is around 10-15% hp. Bringing a lvl 35 alt only slows down the run. Call me elitist but it’s been 4 months or more since launch, every experienced player should have a 80. If they don’t, go party up with non 80s or unexperienced players and don’t slow us down when we’re asking for SPEED/FAST runs.

Sure, sometimes you get people who deserve a kick, no one is disputing that. The point of this thread is that the way the system is setup now it’s very easy for 2 people in a party to grief another via the kick system with a very small chance of repercussions. This is a video game and there are plenty of immature people who enjoy doing things like kicking to get their friend an easy dungeon completion.

Simply changing the kick requirement to 4 votes would reduce griefing substantially and still give parties the ability to remove problem players.

4 is overdoing it. What if one guy is a total moron and he brought along a friend? I think 3 is the perfect spot.

I undercut because someone pisses me off by undercutting by 1c so, I’ll sell my stuff by about 10-20% cheaper and if I’m selling mats, I’ll split em up and sell em in stacks of 50 or so but still maintaining a price range of 10-20%. Someone pisses someone off, the undercut war starts. I don’t care I’m losing money. I’m getting my money faster and therefore I can invest it faster.

The +20% might duration does not work. It also does not work for superior rune of hoelbrak. I will also assume any other rune with +might duration will not work but I am not keen on paying more gold to test it out. Please look into this.

Well I just did CoE today and it was my first time with a bunch of friends. It was so freaking simple. Hug him and you’ll get broken out of crystals or res’ed in a matter of a blink of an eye. Well having 3 warriors might had made this run easier but, I still don’t see why ANYONE is having trouble with this, unless you’re one of those DOITMYWAY thiefs.

I still won’t visit low level areas, I’ll simply just do dungeons and swap to my alt at the end for exp. There are people like me that already have a few 80s and we’re stacked with gold, no sense in us wasting hours grinding to 80.

I finished about 50 AC runs since the patch and all of my parties are PUGs. We spend no more than 15 minutes each path, some of my parties also kill kholer. I don’t see why ANYONE is whining about AC. I hate to say this but l2p or start pugging and stop playing with your guildmates that are clearly baddies.

Nothing is suspicious here. This is how the market works. Thousands of players are actively playing the TP, you can’t expect to be the only person looking into that same market.

Make the quest 1 year long and give everyone that crafted a legendary a second one of their choice.

What the kitten? So now we can’t do dailies by ourselves and they made it 1000 times harder? Bring back the old kittening dailies and not this bullkitten piece of kittening kitten.

If you kick someone during the last few minutes or last parts before the chest or bonus for no apparent reason, yes it is bannable. If your friends feel like one person is a kitten, you can kick that person whenever you want to.

I’ve been trying to get into JQ for a few days it’s always full whenever I try to transfer. I’ll give it another day, if not, I’ll just ask my friends to transfer out of JQ to one of the lower tier servers with me.

I learned not to res anyone and I’m sure that’s not what anet intended. Let us break rez with any sort of movement, whether it be skills, WASD or mouse movement.

You guys are telling us to transfer to the server to want to be but, 1/4 of the servers are always full. Disable the server cap until the new world transfer patch is in effect. It’s very irritating to check if the server you want to be in is full every few minutes or hours. At least add a queuing system for world transfer if you aren’t going to remove the server cap.

I agree with punishing dc’ers but not too harsh. Maybe after 3-5 reports of a player DC’ing and anet can confirm they dc’ed, give them a punishment that would make them think twice. This guy in my party dc’ed in the 3rd fractal level then told us, “this is my 5th dc today”, he pretty much got the whole party aggravated because this moron knows he’s dc’ing yet he’s wasting our time.

All I see is a bunch of QQ’in here. It’s two groups of people, more gold and I want to kill everything and spend an hour each path. Personally IMO, the dungeon is fine as is, why force your playing style onto us. The way I see it is, I just run dungeons for tokens so I will skip all I can, boohoo, I miss out on 50s, I’ll make that in the TP in a matter of a few flips. The problem here is the amount of skippers have the upper hand and the others can’t find parties. It’s like the argument on abortion, it’s impossible to fix because there will always be issues if you choose one side over another. Why not increase the loot table and drop rate, lower the hp and maybe add some sort of token. Skippers will skip and it will get up to a point where you stop all the skipping and the skippers will just do other stuff, thus, less people want to do dungeons. I’m already bored of dungeons and just roam around every dungeon trying to find exploits.

Yes, you can transfer as much as you like until they start charging gems to transfer servers.

There’s one thing I don’t about people with alts. Why not just go through the dungeon on your 80 and then bring your alt back in for the boss/bonus? It irritates me when people ask can they play on their alt and their alt is usually a serker that dies in a few smacks.

No one here is kittening crying, people like me have the gold and are willing to pay more for a guaranteed result. You’re on target and you are pretty much hit the ratio of 1/3. I just tried over 25 times and only gotten 6. I’d rather pay more for the guaranteed results of going through this headache. It won’t break the system for anet to make us foot up 3x of the original mat for us to get a guaranteed result, if you’re feeling lucky go gamble, if not, pay to win. I just want a option where I can pay to win.

I think some people would just prefer paying triple of what’s really needed to not go through the RNG system. It can work really well for you were you saved 1/3 of what I pay or someone will have to pay more than triple of the mats because the odds weren’t in their favors. Personally, I wouldn’t mind paying 3 times more for a 100% guaranteed outcome.

Everyone’s nightmare to their legendary weapon, is probably the mystic clover. I understand the concept on RNG and it’s great, for those who are lucky. I am very unlucky and I can have odds of worse than 1/6, I can craft 10 times before I get 1. Since the odds are 1/3 to getting a mystic clover how about making a new recipe that requires 3 times the materials to make it but generate a 100% chance of receiving a clover? It benefits those that are unlucky and it doesn’t affect the ones that are lucky. Any input would be appreciated.

I can’t imagine some of the people’s face when I undercut people by nearly 1-20g and yet I still make a profit while they sit there watching their items rot.

Seems like you’re just mad you don’t get a easy ride because you can’t afford it. If I wanted something bad, I’d pay for it. 15g isn’t a lot.

This will not work because of several reasons.
1) Some people do speed runs and some do like money runs.
2) I don’t want a 35 in my party.
3) Sometimes I prefer to choose a specific class to invite to my party.

However, the dungeon queue would work if we got an option to be with a party of all 80’s and choose what classes we want in our specific party. Call me a elite kitten but exotics are better than rares.
