You can do the 3 PvE in 15 minutes usually. For 10 AP. You have 100% sure chest if you login. How on Earth can this be bad?

Solo players don’t want to get in TS, listen to others bark orders, we just want to play the game at our own leisure and have fun. This now is not an option so try to have a little foresight.
I have played both solo and team matches since patch, and I was mainly a random solo in the past (actually playing a lot of TeamQ as well, mostly for better rewards), so I get that sometimes you just want to go in and play. So I think that unranked will eventually become good for that, since proper teams will play for the leaderboard.
If I’m soloing, I’ll play unranked. Do you really need a leaderboard for playing at your own leisure and have fun?
The last matches I had in unranked weren’t bad (haven’t played the last few days tbh).
BTW, “bark orders”? Who are you playing with, Wehrmacht officers?

Now there is also team DM in the rotation, which requires different builds than Conquest. You have the time to change, but all in a hurry, last night i tried to respec my bunker guardian into a triple med dps for courtyard. In the confusion, I forgot to change utilities. So my team was effectively 4v5, I was sorry for them…

Imho the system needs a tweak on class stacking, but really enjoyed the new interface, seems about right for most stuff.
Also, some kind of tools that are an improvement from LFG for making teams would be really appreciated.

Team builder: It’s in game and called LFG, but it’s not used (sadly) and I do agree some tweaks for PvP are required, at least, make it more appealing and/or encourage people to use it. +1 for this.

- I do want people to not join late my game. Yes, you are a good guy and always joined straight along the pop up showed up. But there were people waiting the last second to join and being late. More, matchmaking is faster, you can live with 1 minute wait in HotM.
- I was used to solo in team arena because my solo queue were too long.
- Patch was last night, they can tweak things. Megaserver was a disaster the first week, now it’s working as intended.

It’s day 1, I agree is too early to jump to conclusion, I was used to solo TeamQ and never noticed too big of a difference on my matches compared to SoloQ, just people more used to play on 2 points and rotate on 3rd if necessary.
I also like the fact that I could easily find matches solo or duo, will hopefully try with a team soon.
What I really dislike is that I found myself in bad team composition several times.
I mainly play guardian and engineer. When queueing with engi I never ever found a guardian on my team, but found several fellow engineers.
“Ok, let’s queue with guardian” → all matches with at least 2 guards -.-" One with 3 (which we actually won )
So, please fix composition, I would wait slightly longer to avoid bad composition (= redundant classes)
But I want to play it more before saying “good or bad”, same for courtyard, up to now it’s a no go, but I want to play it more tbh, btw we really need templates
I really love “Unranked”, I personally would never play it, but to my anxious friends seems a relief not to think about rank and just play (even if now technically all matches are unranked, I’m talking in prospective).
Having too many Queues can divide player base, I would stick with the system for now and test season, conclusions will be drawn after that.
TL;DR for devs: fix class composition please, having 2 modes means we ABSOLUTELY NEED TEMPLATES, rest will be tested more

Thanks for this change, I love it, I have bank, tp, merchant to empty my bags and always get a match in seconds.

Chances are that if you are running with people that don’t understand that (need for a full regroup), you’re going to lose anyway.

I wanted to give you an update on some more changes that are coming out as part of the feedback we got during the Adopt-A-Dev program.
Siege disablers are getting their radius reduced from 450 units to 300 units. The skill recharge on siege disablers are going up from 5 seconds to 45 seconds and the duration that siege is disabled is going down from 45 seconds to 35 seconds.
The first change will make it harder for siege disablers to take out siege that is sufficiently spread out. The second two will guarantee a window that attackers can use siege if there is only one person disabling siege at an objective.
These changes are going out with next week’s build. Thanks again for all of your feedback!

The radius reduction is appreciated, I’m a bit sceptical about recharge vs disable duration, as 2 people can easily chain their disablers, but at least this require a smallish coordination. 10 second window means 3 rams hit at most.
Anyway I’m looking forward to test them on the field (both sides) and give you some feedback.

The 4 players on the losing team receives a softened blow from the loss depending on how valiantly they fought in the 4v5 at at 30% win prediction.
I guess that 30% is an example, but I think this is the best suggestion in terms of ladder.
Also, how about a small compensation in rank points for a loss? Like 100 extra rank/reward points?
One could argue that a DC at 450-300 doesn’t count as much as a DC at 100-50, so maybe have a time limit for bonus to trigger at 12:00 mark (3 minutes into the match)?
I would not in any case affect game progression in terms of points or anything.

I guess (or hope) it’s an homage. I did it only once last night (and found the similarity immediately), but wasn’t enjoyable at all, my game style is the opposite of running from mobs (there are reasons why I main Guardian).

Ultimately, we either need to let you spend materials from your bank directly at vendors so you don’t need to keep them in your inventory (and then make geodes/crests materials)
Considering there other crafting materials used as tokens (eg. globs of ectoplasm), this could be a good idea. There will still be the > 250 issue though, but hardcore players can purchase the storage expander (or likely already have)

Still, it’s a relatively easy achievement, unless you are a guardian. Don’t do that on a guardian. Aegis from Virtue of Courage unfortunately does count against the achievement.
Kudos to Anet for not thinking that one through terribly well :P
I did it incredibly easily on guardian. It requires you to remove the buff and make sure not to go to a vortex if the buff is about to come back. Not difficult.
I’m about to start this chapter with my guardian. How can I remove one month, two weeks and 5 days of aegis?
What I did was continuously use F3 and then intentionally get hit to remove Aegis.

I did with a build not fully boon free, I went triple meditation sceptre and sword. Triple meditation has Might of the Protector, so any time my aegis went off I had to wait a few extra seconds for might to expire, plus all my armors have some kind of boon on hit from runes, so I had to wait for them to expire too. Besides of waiting and running around, I did it easily.

I’m not much into these kind of challenges and this were a bit boring, but “too hard” absolutely no.
The only one I repeated a few times was the first one (got unlucky a couple of time getting pulled on the last damage rotation).
2nd is just really long, 3rd is trivial for staff guardian, 4th was a bit time consuming as I had to burn my aegis all the time (plus all the armor I use have some kind of “x% of <boon> on hit”)

@Kuldebar, they are just trying to see who can take the other persons stuff faster, showing the other worlds they know how to work together to quickly build siege to take down walls fast.

EotM is the king of the borderlands now, it use to be EB but its EotM, it has harder NPC’s more unique ways to die, more unique strategies to devise, rather than a simple treb the walls and storm the lord like you see in regular borderlands, its more complicated than that in EotM.

Seasons are not the reasons people leave WvW. Lack of motivations is what makes people leave.
EDIT: I like the idea they mentioned of an Alliance system with off season alliance forming, few weeks of “training” matches, season, cycle repeat, if anything won’t make people like they are going to be bound forever with the same matchup. But we are still waiting PvP seasons.

If anything, it should allow to pick the instance and the “side” so you could fight even people with the same color in WvW and (why not?) allies, the latter being tricky though.
And there should be no loot whatsoever, no xp, no wxp, no copper, nothing. This to prevent simple abuse and griefers.
And it will never happen.

Can we expect more changes to siege disablers? The duration is what makes it broken.
There aren’t enough aoe blocks in this game to make an animation change very worthwhile.
More than duration, cooldown (non existant) and/or radius should be fixed
Having a 10 minutes cooldown could be fair, so 1 guy alone can only buy some time, 5-6 defenders have a chance with small groups, 10 defenders is the right number to consider T3 stuff hard to get.
1 guy blocking 30 men group: way too much.

And while people wait for GvG there is always the ability to create your own (that mimics GW1s version quite well).
1: Put score-limit on max (1000 points)
2: Put time-limit on max (30 minutes)
3: Put only Legacy of the Foefire in the queue
4: End the match when one team kills the other teams Guild Lord
5: GW1 GvG emulation complete.
It will still be missing the guild ladder. Which was a huge plus in GW1

While I’m no dev, I strongly doubt that GvG will be (if there will ever be a GvG mode) a deathmatch the way it’s played by the WvW community now, but just my IMO.

Yes they should be removed by WvW, but they don’t really bother me and it’s not P2W, since the “W” depends only on coverage off hours.
WvW is not and will never be balanced, get over it.

Let’s also mention the other big disparities:
1) Red keep is the only keep that has outer and inner gates that face spawn that cannot be double-rammed.
2) There is no built-in siege (oil or cannon) on Water Gate.
3) It is the only keep that can be trebbed from SMC.

Numbers wins a fight. Fights do not necessarily win a game.
In hotjoin you can have a zerg train because there is not initial momentum by capturing points.
In arenas people are generally (not always though) aware that if a group of enemies stacks together they are exposing 2 points at least. So they are losing big time.
Conquest maps have an almost perfect balance when played 5v5.

- Suggestion 3: Add extra things that rewards you with more tokens. For instance, slaying every champion on AC paths (including troll) awards you with +20 tokens at the end, or completing AC paths under 10 minutes gives you extra 10 tokens, or no one downing at the last boss gives you +5 tokens, or doing Giganticus Lupicus on the first try gives you +5 tokens. Something unique for each dungoen. This could be done in the same manner as Dry Top is at the moment – Bonus if xy is completed/not lost etc..
^This is the best suggestion to me.

I’m pretty sure I’ve done all story mode and only have 1 track unlocked, but will look into it, maybe there’s some option I’m missing? Afaik I can’t even scroll down the tracks.
All in all, doesn’t change much.
You had to do the story after April patch to unlock the track (yeah, so funny redoing all stories… Arah is still waiting though)
BTW, PvP + usual runs are the best way to unlock stuff. A reward track in pvp gives you 3 weapons and 1 armor piece (I can’t understand why it’s this way, as weapons are more expensive than single armor pieces, but w/e), plus a bit of tokens. Still a long way, but I think they are designed this way to keep people playing the game.

Appreciate the approach and the experimentation. There will be some good results..and some bad ones..but the efforts and “real life trials” are sorely needed.

I do agree that trying new rules will be the best course. We can discuss forever, but testing on the ground it’s way better, provide it will not be a soft way to introduce new rules.
May I suggest another round of adopt a dev for this trial weeks?
Any chance on rally mechanic to be changed? With PPK rally off a death will become a huge factor.

Wednesday night it felt pretty empty to me, couldn’t find more than 6-7 ppl in a map (and 3 of them were guildmates), even with a tag.
Last night I led a 20+ zerg for a good hour around midnight (CEST).

- Quick dailies with leveling character (warrior these days)
- All time gated stuff (crafting materials, charge crystals, gathering in personal instance)
- WvW or sPvP or tPvP if have 4 guildies or friends willing to join, whatever floats my boat that day
- AC P1/2/3 because I realize I’m poor as hell and I want quick&easy gold
- It’s 2 am → new dailies and time gated stuff in case I will not login the day after
- logout and swear to myself going to bed earlier the next day

I wrote some costs, but it would actually be better if all the costs in-game for upgarding would be lowered in gold, and maybe compensate that with upping karma costs (you know, the useless currency that WvW-ers actually have).
Haven’t noticed, but THIS is a good idea.
There is no risk of exploit because we need upgrades all the time, and 1.5 g to fortify a keep is kind of “ehm… I need to talk to my accountant”
WvW is a big gold sink, the point is that if you just play defensively you have nothing to throw into the sink.

I like the UI, but I’d like it better if you put at the bottom or top a section to Fill in Your Own values. Best of both worlds, you know?
