Well the simple answer is have your server capture the objectives, that of course is easier said than done.
Map positions and team color is determined by your server’s ranking, highest rated in your tier = green, 2nd highest = red, and lowest = blue. If you’re green this week but currently in 2nd place. Next week, you should fall down to 2nd and get the red portions of the maps. Then, just pick on those weak blue guys and take all their stuff.
Yes, Karmic Infusion affects both event rewards and karma consumables, as well as the karma awarded at the end of dungeons or fractals you outlevel.
For the love of God, remove all forms of killing other players in the game, it teaches our children to kill one another. Think of the children!
If the no loot is just isolated to the swamp fractal’s respawning mobs, the change to no loot was probably just a fix, and not specifically targeted at penalizing soloers. (ie a soloer can probably still get loot from killing normal trash in any of the other fractals) The swamp trash probably no longer drops loot even if you’re in a group, because it’s exploitable. Mobs that endlessly respawn don’t tend to drop loot any more all over the game, and this specific case probably caught A-Net’s attention because people were botting in the privacy of their own instanced dungeon.
Some story quests had the same issue, where constantly respawning mobs also dropped loot, and botters set up there characters to endlessly farm in private. To fix the issue, those mobs no longer drop loot; some legitimate players got upset, but it was an understandable change.
Let me start with, I have 5 level 80’s and have been farming the new chests with them, but yeah I agree, this loot is just too good. If it’s the best option for loot, it is going to draw everyone from other activities in the game.
Also, it’s just too much too quickly. It’s completely changing the economy, if there is the direction they want to go, I don’t know, but any change should be minor and progress higher, because the economy has already been established. Any big changes affect people’s previous investments and people’s previous accomplishments.
I agree, that a reduction from about 99% chance to get a rare out of chests down to 25%, or making it 1 chest per account is what is needed.

But there is a very large PvP (sPvP and WvW) player base that has not lvled crafting at all nor do we want to. That isn’t why we play and we should not be forced to do something we get no enjoyment out of.
This is the same lame arguement, people use to use when the monthly included 50 WvW kills. Sometimes, you have to do stuff you don’t want to do to obtain the rewards you want, it’s that simple. It’s impossible to cater to everyone’s exact gameplay style, WvW upsets some, dungeons upsets others, and apparently crafting upsets you. I don’t however remember ever reading that dailies and monthlies are suppose to be obtained by everyone no matter what they choose to do in game. They changed up the monthly achievements so some people who may not normally complete them because it is so against the playstyle may have a chance this month, and then next month they will change again to give other types of players something more to their liking.
If you really want some keys, roll a new character and work on map completion as you level it. Between personal story and zone completion, you’ll get about 10.
The OP apparently has never actually used any type of karma percentage increase before, not banners, guild boost, food, nor booster. The increased amount of karma you get from the boost is not reflected on the event completion pop up nor the dungeon completion pop up. However, it is shown above your character when obtained.
Here is a screenshot right as an event ends along with a pic of my amulet with +15% karma. Only karma increasing boost I had was the necklace’s infusion. Notice the event gave 378 karma, but I got 435. 15% of 378 = 56.7 56.7 + 378 = 434.7 They were nice enough to round it up to 435.
And yes, it does effect all karma consumables too. Fully buffed out with every karma boost I could think of, I was getting 8550 karma per jug, a 90% increase.

Gear bought from merchants isn’t sellable on the trading house, this is not ascended specific.
As for the rings specifically which can be obtained through FoTM daily chests, just like FoTM specific exotics, they are all account bound, so they can have a high drop rate without flooding and ruining the markets.
If Ascended rings were tradable, the broker would be filled with them because people obtain so many every day, it would completely ruin the rings market, where ascended rings were going for as much as it costs to make rare ones, let alone exotic ones.
Legendaries on the other hand, take a lot of time, money, and luck to make. They enter the market at very slow pace, and it does not completely ruin the entire weapons market to have them be sellable.
While you have a point, common sense wise, that a legendary should not be tradable. It has no negative effect on the game’s economy, thus creates no problems in the game that they are.

They shouldn’t really need to include in patch notes, that exploits are fixed, that’s something exploiters can find out for themselves.
I think you’re probably fighting in the area that has incorrect dynamic leveling, I posted about it in the bugs forum a while ago.
There are lava elementals and flame legion around there that are level 69, but the game delevels you down to 63, making killing any more than 1 at a time, very difficult.
OP is mistaking his achievement point total, for the amount of guild influence he’s earned.
If you want to transfer the upgrade from an old backpiece to a new backpiece, you can use a transmutation stone, and just select the upgrade slot from the old backpiece as the only thing to carry over to the new product.
Also, you can’t toss backpieces into the forge, except for specific ascended upgrade recipes.

I’d say warrior is the fastest, but ranger is the easiest with the least chance to ever die while leveling.
Does any one have insight in to this? If I get an amulet with an offensive slot can i get an AR/Prec infusion and put it in?
Yes, the necklaces take the old infusions of matching type perfectly fine.
That person was just saying he didn’t want to use his 5stat/5ar infusion, until he knew for sure if the ascended necks could be upgraded to infused quality (having innate +5ar) like how rings can be upgraded in the mystic forge with 5 vials, 3 globs, and 1 shard.
Well last time, they messed up achievement completion, it was fixed within a day. So the fact, it’s taking a while, coupled with the fact, they are looking into it, rather than id’d and will assuredly fix it soon, has some worried, they are kitten out of luck.
As an elementalist who actually uses scepter a lot, no way to making dragon tooth ground target. That would be even worse, to take the time to actually target it, only have it to miss because it takes so long to go off. Fix is just to shorten the time it takes to land.
Also, with shatterstone, it does so little damage, I wish it was a targeted pb aoe. Something like it makes a chuck of ice attach to your target like a karka hatchling, and then it explodes after x amount of time, and does the aoe damage around the target’s area. The target could dodge roll the shatterstone off or move away from others to minimize it’s ae effect.

Yes, it works exactly the same way, by clicking on the infusion then applying it to the item, and overwriting the old infusion with the new one.
However, the new infusions for defensive/offensive slots are +4 to a stat with with no agony resist . The new infusions that are +MF%, +GF%, +Karma% etc, go into utility slots only, which are currently only found on necklaces, so doubt you’ll be changing up your rings’ infusions.

When someone wants X class over other classes, it’s just showing you they themselves aren’t very good, and they need be carried. Now a days I steer clear of those groups advertising need war/guard, because it’s basically advertising they suck.
I’ve done up to level 30 FotM, with a mix every class, and never really had a problem with a specific class, just undergeared or bad players.
Also, if someone is worried about stacking a group at level 2 difficulty, you’re probably lucky they kicked you.
Same here, a lot of weapon master and slayer achievements are 1 shy of being complete now, also emergency response (5000 events) was too.
Not a big deal, other than Gold Hoarder, I don’t think I’ll ever have 200g at one time again.
I really dislike the uncommon loot chests, they are so easy to miss.
They take a second to spawn after the mob dies, so when you’re in a fast paced dungeon, it’s easy to miss them when you take a split second to check if the interact option pops up on the mob that just died before moving to the next mob that is being fought.
Also, they don’t spawn exactly where the mob died, near it’s corpse, but not on top of it.
Their sparkle effect is hard to notice normally, even harder on certain terrain, or corpse piles.
Wish they would just go with a different color sparkle effect for a corpse with better quality loot, like pinkish/purplish sparkles for higher quality.
I think it’s not perfect, but that it’s fine. Dailies should be… daily, if you log on that day, you get that chance to do it, if you don’t, then there is always another one when you are playing.
The community in this game baffles me. I’ve played a lot of MMO’s and the whiners in this one truly come off as the most self-entitled and lazy bunch. I don’t understand why in this community people think they should get everything they want, and to be able to obtain them doing only the activities they want to do, and that everyone needs to obtain every item at the same pace reguardless of how much time they play. I want X achievement, but I don’t want to Y activity to get it, this is unfair to me. I want X item, but I can only play a limited Y amount of days, so people who play everyday will get it faster than me, this is unfair to me. No that’s kitten life kiddo, people who work more, should achieve more, and sometimes you have to suck it up and do what’s needed to be done to get it.
I like that the game forces people into specific content to get that specific item, I would never have run FotM, if I didn’t want to get ascended rings and backpiece.
If your pet is dead, it can only come to you, but not revive you.
You aren’t at the right door, the new door opened will be above the last door, the last door in the water will be a small door at the highest depth you can swim to. The quest marker is confusing you because it’s a vertical dungeon.
At least one of your pets is alive right?
In an area of Fireheart Rise, north of Cozen Desolation, and south of the Vista, you are deleveled down to level 63, but all the mobs in the area are level 69 and eat you up.

They need to show the level of fractal each group member is on or even better yet, instead of being completely open ended now, make the max level of fractal the person can do, be like 5 higher than the fractal they are on. So if they are on level 20, they could do up to 25.
Tonight, I did a 26, which was particularly bad with this new system, despite everyone in group saying they were at least on level 22. I knew it was going to be bad, when we are doing the Grawl fractal, and 1 group member is standing there doing nothing on the 1st boss fight, because he’s too busy typing out his question of “Why are you throwing stones at the shaman this early in the fight? I thought you have to wait for him to come down first.”

No one smart would ever buy the rings with laurels, but at least the option is there so all the whiners on the boards aren’t like, “Omg you are forcing me to do this, because it is the only way to obtain that.”
You have a month to work on it, if you put any effort into it, you’ll get it done. While you may not enjoy doing some of the individual achievements, no one ever said you were suppose to.
Anyways, finished earlier today, 100 events is the one that takes the longest.
The problem with Wintersday is that they listened to all the complaints from people on Halloween and Lost Shores about things being too difficult, having short windows to enjoy parts of the event, holiday skins being too rare/random, etc, etc, and now we have any easy event with no real challenge to any part of it, and consequently no good rewards because everyone has them.
You are just having a streak of bad luck.
I’ve gotten 3 extra items in the last 2 weeks, black lion salvage kits were a nice surprise.
To the OP, account bound dungeon drops so they can have a higher drop rate without flooding the market.
To Peetee, only items you need from a dungeon are tokens, which you mainly get upon completion of an exp path, and not what the OP was referring to.
The main factor to the rising prices was the bot bannings, everything has steadily risen in price since, but that’s the price we pay to live in a bot free world.
The zone itself, is pretty underwhelming, they should have put the Fractals dungeon in lost shores and incorporated the Karkas into the dungeon, so people will have a reason to go there in the future.
Don’t fret too much about the scavenger hunt, the reward was only 5 tokens you get from making donations.
Hit the young karkas with a range attack, dodge roll to the side when he shoots the crystals, move in and kill it.
I don’t like the vet karka mechanic, where you have to kill them twice basically, windle down their hp breaking off their armor, get exp for that kill, and then have to fight em all over again, and it’s easier, but if you’re completing against others, less time and chance to get your tag in, so harder to get tag on the part that would actually leave a corpse and give loot.

Elementalists have a skill that when activated is suppose to make the next 5 attacks crit, it has the same bug where everything and anything consumes a charge, it’s been bugged and reported since beta. Basically… don’t hold your breathe, if they’re still using their bad coding to make new skills.
Berserker LoS can be fixed when they either give us a targeted AoE on par with the other classes or fix all targeted AoE so it can’t go through doors or out of LoS itself.
What’s wrong with chaos storm?
lowest health is somewhere in 14-15k zone. There is no way iberserker hit you for ~12k hp they dont even do damage close to that number or maybe you were lvl 1 in lvl 1 gear while he was in full legendary with real lvl 80?
Since he’s an elementalist, his hp would be below 11k at level 80, if he has no +vit from gear or traits or buffs (orb/food/etc) and just a pure dps spec. So in this specific case it’s actually possible.
Either way, damage on the berserker is fine, the no los requirement on it needs to be fixed though, and elementalists need a lot of love so there’s an actual reason they are the squishiest class while not even being near the top damage dealers.

Mine is bugged too, I had completed the survivor exp on October 1st, but still needed to do the rest of the monthly achievements requirements. Then the patch bugged it to show as ??? and uncompleted. I was hoping that it was just visual and completing the rest of the monthly achievements would complete the monthly, but no such luck.
5 days later and still have not recieved items purchased on the trading post.

I put up some custom buy offers on Saturday morning, and by noon people had sold me the items, but I still have not recieved the items that were sold to me, before the trading post was brought down and back up that day. Most of it was crafting stuff that I don’t mind losing because I’ve already passed that crafting level, but one was a level 80 exotic dagger that cost several gold. Are failed transactions still being looked into? 5 days is pretty long, and I doubt I’m ever going to see any resolution at this point.
