500 gems for a little mark that isn’t visible with a majority of hairstyles? disgusting, how can you have the audacity to charge $7.50 or around 40g for such an item? first the flamekissed scandal now something stupid like this is really pushing the greed too far.

the meta achievement grocery list garbage is why the living stories all feel the same. there is no backstory quests other than the occasional stupid 2 minute solo instance with bad dialog.

Over 20 new achievements including “Touch all Scarlet’s Pillars” for 5 ap

the only good jumping puzzles are the 2 holiday ones, i wish anet would stop trying to make this a core feature of this game. if i wanted to hop on kitten all day i’d go play mario

they should ditch the server system, bring back districts and change WvW to a god based war where you choose what god to fight for instead of a world

you are able to run through majority of the game alone, thats the problem.

I think it would be pretty sick if next years event is based in Divinity or Ebonhawk mainly, all the races would learn of the human side of wintersday and then they can bring back the grenth vs dwayna theme

I have not seen what its like on other races but on human it looks kinda small. Lots of people been agreeing that LoD wings should be a bit bigger, I’d like to see it like the shattered wings size)

Awhile ago I began leveling a hunter through PVE in the open world, but I eventually got bored and put the game down, because I rarely came across any situations in which I was really challenged, and forced to team up with other players. I assume that this is something offered by dungeons, but I never found one in my time with my hunter.

Of course there was the occasional dynamic event that couldn’t be easily soloed, but 90% of the time the region was so empty that it was difficult to find teammates.

Plus, you never really have to team up for those tough dynamic events – you can always just gain a few levels and come back to solo the content. In that sense, it seemed to me that any challenge in open world PvE was made by hurdles that you had to artificially create for yourself, not hurdles that you HAD to overcome to advance.

Maybe MMORPGs just aren’t my thing. I do enjoy some multiplayer games, but it’s because they force you to overcome significant challenges to succeed, like LoL for instance.

I know I can find that in PvP, but I absolutely love the beautiful open world in GW2 – it’s just a shame that I can’t seem to find any real adventure there. Thoughts?

This is the stupidest idea i’ve ever seen in a game, ever. You release ascended armor but have to wait 24 hours to craft the materials???? Remove the time gate so i can finish crafting

i enjoyed the wintersday content last year more than any other “christmas” or winter event from any other game or MMO. It is slightly disappointing that there doesn’t seem to be anything new here. It won’t stop me from enjoying all that content over again though! I loved the jumping puzzle and the bell choir was fun too. Even if we don’t see anything new i think a lot of people will appreciate some time to work on their Ascended armor (if your one of the people working towards that). Regardless im still looking forward to this awesome content making a return!

I’m in no way saying the wintersday content is bad, i think it is some of the best stuff in the game. But not adding anything new to it is a mistake especially when the game is still pretty new. As for the ascended armor, i’ll have enough mats to acquire it first day but nobody wanted the gear treadmill to start with

Also keep in mind all the rage about them having a new story for Halloween this year compared to last.

First off, let me say, that Im playing GW2 since beta and I’m still enjoying the game.
But after all these changes you’ve done over the year I just wonder:
Is it to hard to listen to your players?

The only thing you really managed to arrange was the thing with flamekissed armor.
Examples?

-Scarlet Briar
-Players do not like the character
-Put her into a fractal

-Living Story overall
-Players scream for an expansion
-Do silly farming-maps which dissapear (without any explanation) after 2 weeks.

Well right now there was a post about the upcoming PvP-changes

People DONT WANT ranks to get removed
People WANT to be able to have legendarys, cultural armor etc. on PvP
but DONT WANT something like this weird crossover. PvP armor always was something special, just BECAUSE there was a different way to achieve it.

So, I just wonder why it seems to be so hard to listen to your players or request an opinion beforehand.

By the way I just try to imagine how kitten ed the people on rank 70+ are gonna be…

Just addressing the pvp part of your post, i disagree i think this is the first time anet is actually listening all the upcoming changes have been requested by majority of the community in one way or another.

Yeah I understand your point OP. Back when they first started revealing everything it looked like this game was going to be a serious gritty game. GW1 was not a super serious game, but compared to most fantasy games it seems more mature. Fast foward to today and I swear the company was bought by Disney. Everyone is goofy, nobody takes anything serious. Every other dialog line is either a cringe worthy joke, or a horrible reference to pop culture. Hell, I take that back Disney makes more mature themes than the writers of this game. I don’t even want to start with Scarlet because we already have more threads than guam about her.

If there is going to be an achievement to touch all of them in the next patch, just delete it now. Its sad that every Living Story update has the same exact format in terms of doing this stupid stuff to get the meta achievement.

The fractal update had me thinking, is there any info on the cliffside fractal? Who is the colossus? wheres it take place,the environment reminds me of the kurzick area of cantha

Guys, it was a one-time reskin. Stop being sheep and deal with it. People aren’t going to ever say, “Pff, you have the t3 cultural instead of the $10 gem store armor? LOOOSERR.” If you want to have the original look, go out and buy it for 119g. It’s not like this armor is going anywhere, so please; cope with it.

On a side note, a moderator really needs to merge all of these threads whining about the Flamekissed armor, it’s getting out of hand.

The only sheep are the ones who are buying the new set. The first goal I had in this game was to get the human t3 set (heavy as i’m guard) so I would be kitten ed if my hard work was devalued because you can get the same kitten at a discount from the gem store with a little glowy effect. Cultural armor is called “CULTURAL” for a reason, its unique to that one race

Looks like the “new” armor set just has a glowing fire effect to it. These are just the low level karma sets and I think its ridiculous we are getting reskins already.

I’d like to know where in the game that concept art is?

I don’t mean to offend anyone at Areananet but every time I try and watch the livestream for upcoming content I turn it off within 5 minutes. The people doing the streams are always either too boring speaking very monotone not excited about the stuff they are presenting or they are really bad at it and the party wipes 4 times before they get to the end.

I think you should get some of those energetic gw2 streamers to help you guys out and have different people guest each stream playing alongside the devs (google hangout style)
