In my opinion standing still after lightning flash is just a design issue. If we kept moving it wouldn’t even change much, together with timewarp it would still fully proc.
There is only one open dor so one can’t be talking about the open door*s*.
Lightning Flash while Fiery Rush doesn’t abort all movement, you just get stuck for tenth of a second and then keep moving the last tiny bit.
Back during the Deadeye Farm craze I had my guardian up at 101% crit and there were still non-crit hits happening. Don’t know if that’s due to a bug with Right Hand Strength (it still doesn’t display in the H panel, you have to just add the 15 yourself) or something else wonky with the crit% calculations.
Just mentioning this to say it might not always so bad to be a little above 100%. If there is a bug, that is.
I thought right hand strength didn’t apply to reflect damage. That’s why you wouldn’t crit sometimes.
I’m pretty sure I was hitting closer to 100% than 85%. That would be the first I’ve ever heard of that.
Reflections are no sword attacks and therefore do not get affected by RHS.
Also Churning Earth is terrible deeps, dat cast time sheesh
Do people actually cast churning earth and wait for the whole cast time? You should start casting it then swap to air and fire off 2&3 then swap to water and cast 4 all while still churning meanwhile youre activating fury on swap and get higher crit chance which should allow you to pop back into air for more pewpew.(assuming standard 30/30/0/0/10 dps build)
That doesn’t change the face that churning earth isn’t worth casting unless you’re in a fire field. And even then you’d better go focus.

I agree I may have said some things that aren’t true, so I edited it, anyways, the projectile reflection is still hard to keep up, people have to actually watch wwhere my skills are going and the wardens die almost instantly when they don’t attack, wardens need to be perfectly timed to keep it up 100% of the time, and this is only against projectiles anyways. As for damage, we all know that mesmers can’t try to tip warriors even with reflects, and for defence 2 eles or a guardian suffice too, I don’t think its more skilful to use reflects, but its definitely not easier than fgs.
Have you ever played an ele? 66% less hp than mesmer, no vigor on crits, no weapon swapping and no distortion if you want to use conjures. That’s why almost everyone would just go back to 3w/1g/1m, because it’s the easiest and gives results inappropriate to your input.
For damage, you have mes solo 5:40, warrior is 5:08, guardian 5:29. Guess how other professions fare.
As for defense, 2 eles can get you with 50% uptime of projectile absorption and it doesn’t work as often as feedback (Cursed Grasp for instance).
Well, i believe with what is given to engineers they might even do a faster kill than a warrior.

Might stacking with S/F is both, pre and in combat quicker than with S/D. Also the fire field lasts a respectable extra time (you’ll actually blast it at least once with LH) and you got swirling winds/magnetic wave/obsidian flesh. Out of combat you obviously want to switch to X/D, though.
Sandy now becomes king in necroville! One of the only professions with absolutely zero reflects!
I don’t think there is a legit way to solo that “get all those orbs in 2 minutes” event.
I believe everyone would be fine to use no exploits in speedrun videos.
Fiery Rush isn’t an exploit, though, so restricting it’s use would be kittened and nothing i’d agree on.
That was already fixed months ago. At least concerning my knowledge you can’t solo CoF path 1. You can exploit your way through path 2, though.
Oh they are, they make lupicus reset in less than a millisecond.
Lupi will move away from you if you get too close. If you sit at max melee range he’ll remain stationary.
He actually spews out bubbles like crazy on max melee range.
Lets see: AC, CM, TA, SE, HotW (?) and Arah do all have solo’able paths. CoF doesn’t, CoE just with glitching through one door.

eles are fine for speed runs, but it is difficult to set path records with them since the full party has to stand still for 5 seconds to stack Might, and the more encounters per dungeon the more it slows you down.
They can stack 9 party might without even standing still for a second.
Edit: Even 12, but thats a bit harder to pull off.

The only profession that is ranged close to as effective in melee is engineer.
For the GS on mesmer: whenever i see a GS mesmer and he isn’t willing to change i kick him. Theres just no excuse for that. Much worse than bearbow’s.
But please don’t range at all, you will likely mess mobs aggro up, don’t bring boons to the party and also don’t receive any (→ bad DPS).
Vigor on critical hit, in some situations you just need that.

90% of my deaths are caused by taking a big hit mid-dodge.
The other 10% split up into unavoidable things (2%), strategic downing (i.e. to rally a half second later with more hp – 3%) or stupid self fails (5%).
In 90% i just think “huh, saw this coming/anet fix your servers”, make some semi-rage comment and keep playing. 2% are “kitten this game”, 3% are “yiha” and 5% are “kitten me, kitten me, kitten me, kitten me, kitten me, kitten kitten kitten kitten… kitten”. Or i just lean back for 5 minutes, shaking my head and facepalming about wtf i just did.

Avoiding rapidfires is just the same as avoiding bubbles, in my opinion just fully legit.
I just rewatched the video and have to say: great job on skill rotations.
Of course Conjures were buffed from 969 by 5% but that was unintentional and was patched right away.
Of course weapon strength is used in almost all damage calculations. I’m not sure about reflections here, though.
You should be required to have fractal 48 and to have cleared each dungeon path in a certain amount of time in order to get a legendary.
I wouldn’t have one then.
With 25 stacks of empowered a perfect feedback hits for about 10k/projectile.
If casual means better than in all ~2000 of my runs, yeah.
Talking about phase 3 here, phase 1 was really mediocre rng.
