I’d like to see a 2 min CoF aswell.
A sub 5 minute Arah too, though.
As regular CoF1 runner (one of the best I might add) I agree with Wethospu that scholar runes are in fact the best for dps.
Way to toot your own horn, buddy. Just wondering, how did you determine that you were one of the best? Was there a contest?
lol
Regarding the 90% Critchance, 10% Critdmg is 9% Dmg overall.
So how does 65 Power increase your overall damage by 9%? Do you have 916 Base Power with Armor, Trinkets, etc?
Berserker – Power/Precision/Critical Damage.
Why? When you start playing with you won’t struggle later like you’d do when changing from P/V/T to P/P/C.
[…]
I can see that you are a CoF path 1 farmer, so yes scholar runes would be best for you.
lol
Until level 30 you go well with 0 AR. You’ll just die once at Jade Maw.
Full dmg on burrows. Easiest and most effective way to protect him.
I’ve had 20 min Arah runs, 2 hour Arah runs, 7-10 min AC runs but also AC runs that we never finished. Partly all with the same people. What does that tell us? Sometimes we suck and even if dungeons in this game are mostly doable brainafk it is not recommended to try so (brainafk).
Uhm, doing lvl 10/20/26/40 daily with 0 AR. Only problem is that i always die at Jade Maw
Plan me in.
Guardian, Mesmer, Warrior prefered. Can also come as Ele, Necro, Thief or whatever you want me as.
I’d prefer experienced players who know what they do but once in a while i’m also willing to join a “teachrun”.
Don’t forget that Meteor Shower is dealing even more damage than Ice Bow 4 to the burrows. 2 Eles can easily duo that part in less than 30 seconds. Also 2 Warriors can easily duo it, not as fast as Eles but still in less than 40 seconds. One 100b + Whirlwind Attack is usually enough to kill a burrow. In a team without warriors or eles, just split 3 guys to the western and 2 guys to the eastern side who DPS the burrows down in melee as fast as they can.
Defending Hodgins is contraproductive by the way. You will just drag aggro to him.
For part 2 there’s an easy solution – take a warrior. Attack one ghost in melee and ball up behind a pillar. Warrior uses 100b + WA with Haste → 1-3 Ghosts will be dead within 2 Seconds.
No dodge delay? Hell, what would i give for that. I have to dodge ~0.5 seconds earlier than you to get the same result. If i start dodging in the same frame GL starts his kick i’ll still get hit…
Agony really isn’t required for fractals. It makes more forgiving but the only place where you need some is Jade Maw. All in all, fractals are not more challenging than usual dungeons and give better reward. I’m not doing fractals much but when i do, the average reward is way better than for example from Arah.
Edit: Lol. Agony Resistance i mean. Im playing with full berserker on my mesmer, if an attacks hits me im dead, no matter if i have 45 or 0 AR.

What about Dungeon Chests, same effort but even less rewarding than fractals.
If you have no clue what you’re doing:
SE
CoF
HotW
AC
TA
Arah
CoE
CM
If you know what you’re doing:
Arah
CM
TA
AC
others.
The easiest Dungeon overall if you already have it done once: Arah Path 4
But actually there really isn’t any dungeon which you can’t do brainafk with an experienced group.
Lol. I thought the only thing Lightning hammer is good for is jumping over maps with Lightning Leap (2). Never thought about using it to deal damage.
nobody likes dredges. nobody
^this.
Mhh. I have not done it since ~6 month or so. Always sold my spot after Simin.
Plus it’s boring. Balthasar = way too easy. Melandru = afk-ranged fight. Lyssa = You won’t take any damage with a guardian (pure voice) in your team anyway. Grenth = Pressing 1 over and over again (with a melee weapon). At least the Bloodstone Shard and Simin are some fun as long as you don’t get hit by the 50% bug.
But “tanking” doen’t work in PvE. Warriors deal the most dps while still surviving hits where other professions would get onehittet on similar equipment. Guardians have even on Berserker Gear lots of survivability, passive blocks and of course projectile reflection plus they still deal average damage. An elementalist wouldn’t be as survivable as a guardian on Berserker Gear and when equipped defensive that ele won’t deal any great damage. The profession balancing in PvE needs some love and the underwater balancing is extremely horrible, while the PvP balancing seems quite well to me (at least it seemed about a month ago). A team out of necros, engis and ranger won’t ever do half as good in a dungeon as a team out of warriors, guardians and mesmers.
Completed path 1. After 8-9 hours of failing over and over again, the final run took about 30 minutes.

Maybe i’ll do a full solo of path 2 if i sometime can spend 5 hours without a break.
Path 3 will (hopefully) follow.
Nvm i forgot the burrow event at start, so here is the full solo:

Uhm.
If i may quote myself:“Ele, Nec, other professions: Why shouldn’t it be possible?”
That means: Im pretty sure it is possible. I’ve been duo’ing GL for quite a while with 2 eles, farming path 3.
Well I meant more that it isn’t just “possible”, but definite. I was getting at the fact it should have been with a -yes like the others that’s all :p
I never did a full Lupi solo on my Ele nor seen a video of it, so i can’t really say “Yes.”
Im missing a full AC solo from you Weth
Path 2 took me hours (4-5? and i didn’t event killed him 100%, “killing” the boss is really frustrating since you cant get his shield off solo), working on Path 1 atm. Will take even longer i guess.

Uhm.

My guess of other possible professions:
Elementalist, Guardian, Mesmer(?)
Warrior: Yes.
Guardian: Yes.
Thief: Yes.
Mesmer: Yes.
Ranger: Uhm, not sure how lupicus will react to the pet.
Ele, Nec, other professions: Why shouldn’t it be possible? This fight is about dodging and evading, not about a dps race or “tanking” ability. It will be harder than with previous mentioned professions, im already struggling alot with warrior, so i won’t try out.
Some enemies turn extremely invulnerable because of somewhat. Ever defeated those crystalline creatures in path 1 when having 10 stacks of corrupted light? 300k 100b
To be sadly honest, I find Cm too hard. Thats why I don’t play it.
CM is about 90% afk-killing mobs through walls. 5% running and 5% doing ranged fights while pressing a-d-a-d-a-d to not receive any damage.
Except GL (who you can still get stuck in a wall to not do anything) Arah Path 3 is really easy if you don’t bother using some glitches. First door won’t close (so you dont have to kill the 4 risens) when you choose the path while already standing there. Crusher can be killed from many safespots, Hunter is a joke.
Mage Crusher can be afk killed too, even if not using afk spots he tends to mostly not do anything except showing a headache. The part with the corrupted lights can be easily done as necro, thief or mesmer. Abominatios are easy too and then it comes to Lupicus. This encounter will require some (a lot) practise. Phase 1 gets really easy after a while because his attacks are easy to dodge, phase 3 isn’t too hard in my opinion aswell because his attack animations are all so “hasty” that i dodge by reflex. But in phase 2 i still pretty often fail. For the endboss event you will need some Embers and Spykits. Kite around all the aggro and when your spykit is recharged use an ember, stealth yourself, go into a circle for a second and then take aggro again. Repeat that for another circle and just make sure you dont loose aggro. The boss himself is pretty easy then, Autoattacks are weak and the charge is easy to dodge.
AC Path 1 was a pretty easy solo and except the burrow part it still is. Sadly the burrow part is kinda undoable without using glitches – if you have no problems using one you can pull the gravelings from the tunnel to the scepter-room, stealth yourself and let hodgins die when he is starting his monologue. Event will begin with hodgins dead, so hodgins cant die again to make the event fail.
I saw those calculations before, and they are wrong. (Well, at least the calculating I saw)
They guy was assuming Greatsword immediately = 25stack might.I did not do tests with any pre-gained might stacks. Neither did i do calculations.
GS DPS is higher than Axe/Any DPS, in about 99% of all situations in open world PvE and Dungeons. Even on single target. It also inflicts more vulnerability.
And to tell you: with GS you will be able to maintain about 7-9 Might stacks for each target.no axe has higher DPS when traited.
I used to be like you guys saying GS is king DPS.
NO..I was so wrong when traited in axe.
Axe/S btw…. 10% crit chance with blade master… 10% crit severity with axe mastery.
Watch your auto spam attack 100% crit.Substained DPS… AXE wins.
Spike DPS… GS win.CoF…. warriors who do sub 7 min runs are using BOTH GS / AXE.
5sec weapon swap allows u to spam HB.. then quickly go back to AXE, then back to HB right as the cooldown is worn off…You cant match DPS on ANY class in this setup on a warrior…
So you believe i tested Axe DPS with a GS Build? Lol. I’ve been using 30/10/0/0/30 on Axe. GS still has a higher DPS output, if you don’t believe it just try out yourself.
@CookMETender. I do not feel offended by your posts, i just can’t understand how people can still claim Axe/Any’s DPS higher than GS’s whithout testing it themselves. If people would start thinking and less reproducing distorted calculations the whole discussion about which weapon offers more DPS won’t come up at all.
To clear up things once more: The “activation time” of the skills ingame or in wiki is not the real time it takes to channel the whole autoattack chain. The damage numbers shown in skills description/wiki are not right. Trying to calculate the overall DPS by doing some maths with wrong numbers won’t tell you much except bullkitten.
GS offers more DPS than Axe, if hitting multiple targets and probably having chance to WW to a wall, about 33% more. If hitting only 1 target landing 100b not fully and only using it all 8 seconds, GS still deals very slightly more DPS than Axe with Eviscerate + Autoattack spam.

My utilities usually are Frenzy! (fun), FGJ! and Banner of Discipline but again changed based on situation.
I always wondered why you aren’t taking Endure Pain situational. At least i’ve never seen you using it in any of your videos.

AC is not trash. It’s just harder now when you have trash players in team.
Its even easier now with trash players.
I dislike it. Because of the reason that gull group counts more than player’s skill. Pre-update the path’s 1 and 3 could be done by 2 people in 6-7 and 10-11 minutes without doing mistakes. Now the dungeon is just a cruel pain trying to solo or duo but even easier in a 5 men group. So, 5 completely new players are more efficient than 2 perfectly playing ones. And this isnt my interpretion of good game design.
Lol, dungeons are FOR groups of 5 people. Shouldn’t be angry that it can’t be done by less now…
All i worry about is that skill is worth less than mass.
Only numbers I have seen is that GS does more damage than Axe. However, GS Skill 1 < Axe Skill 1 so it matter how often you can use HB. And that is not trivial.
and by “how often,” you would have to use it every single time the instant it is off CD.
That just not true. Even if 100b isn’t used on recharge and isn’t fully landed, GS still does slightly more DPS than Axe/Any. Somehow you seem to not have read my whole tests. And btw, the more mobs around you, the more effective GS gets in comparison to Axe. Probably you don’t trust my testing, i have no problem with that, but instead of still trying to call Axe/Any dealing more DPS than GS just do those tests yourself.
Tbh, im not very familiar with fractals but i am with most other dungeons. And the most common situation in runs with a good party is balling up enemies and dps’ing them down, if possible close to a wall. This gives greatsword even more advantages – first of all the ton of might stacks, the fully landed 100b’s (as long as enemies don’t evade) and the fully landed whirlwind attack which just increases the overall done DPS by an unbelievable amount. Each hit does ~5k damage so it will deal 20k in 1 second in many situations in Arah.
For 5 completly brainafk players this dungeon is even easier than before. For skilled players that are trying to solo/duo its just cruel. Skill = nothing in new AC.

Or you can, you know.. Interrupt his howl.
Sadly doesn’t work as intended. Interrupting his howl either doesn’t prevent of falling stones or the boss will just start howling 2 seconds later again.
That NPC is fully kitten sometimes even deciding to exit the fight to go for breeders in the tunnels. And if he stays alive he often forgets to put up a shield, gets interrupted by trying to set it up or just dies with some kitten suicide actions.
He was acting like GS did double the damage of axe/mace.
If 100b can be landed fully all time and 2 or more targets can be hit, GS deals about 30+% more damage than Axe/Any. Of course this isn’t very realistic in all situations but happens quite often in dungeons like arah.
AC can still be done in 10 min, just requires a full DPS party.
AC Path 3 is the new CoF Path 1.
1 Mesmer, 1 Guardian, 3 Warriors.
Warriors setting up Banner of Discipline and Battle Standart, Guardian giving AoE Stability and the Mesmer setting up timewarp. Mesmer will interrupt the first scream with F3. While timewarp is still up the boss already dies.
This Dungeon got completely kittened up.
What I like:
Lowered healthpool on Silvermobs and Bosses.
What i dislike:
Boss fights have nothing to do with skill or tactic. Path 1 solo is stupid kiting, path 3 is just relying on the dumb NPC.
Can’t skip Queen anymore. (i dont like wasting minutes by brainafk’ing fights)
Hatchlings are now stronger than Silvermobs.
Burrows spawn too many Gravelings in too short time. (I dislike this because all you need is more dps, nothing else)
The Dungeon doesnt feel enjoyable anymore. And solo/duo’ing AC is a frkin pain now. Even solo Arah makes more fun and is easier + faster.
Even if it is 2 seconds “only”, the food is still going to be useless.
just one thing they did not think about when patching this – the food will be 100% useless like so many other patched things.
Didn’t knew my Warrior is able to summon an elementalists weapon. Thanks for telling me!
I can fully agree, those parts are way too difficult.
I mean i sometimes need more than 1 try when i solo them on my elementalist or my warrior.
