Oh i see my fault now. I’ve been thinking about 4 damage ticks instead of five, where blurred frenzy + one dodge would work out as taking 1 tick damage taken.
If you stop doing anything while in blurred frenzy I’m sure it can negate 3 ticks of damage just as when lupi lifts in the air.
I doubt so, blurred frenzy provides 2,5 seconds of invulnerability, so if the bubble ticks come each second once that would only let you migate 2 ticks, but anyway.
When still getting 1 tick of damage, wouldnt blurred frenzy + one single dodge result in the same, just not wasting 50% endurance?
Won’t you still get 1 tick of damage then in the time you need to adjust your position?
You have to start the interrupt chain with mes focus 4 or something that does not do damage. While he’s knocked he can’t use the warhorn skill Once he’s standing for 0.1 seconds that seems to be enough to let him use it.
Anyway, why even permacc’ing mobs instead of using los and 100b to burn them down quick.
Still, skipping will result in more money/time. Also Kholer in AC. A run without kholer takes about 6-7 minutes duo, a run with killing kholer takes about 9-10 minutes duo. So thats basically 3 minutes for ~20 silver which i don’t feel yhat it is very rewarding.
@OP:
so you want to tell us that using toughness, vitality and defensive only skills is efficient?
I also use Blink instead of the signet. :p
Staff isn’t really that much of a condition weapon in my opinion. It scales pretty well with berserker gear and the conditions from the AA’s are more like a damage increase to iWarlock than being important themselves.
9/10 sucessfull solo’s is impressive, it’s more like 1/50 when i’d count my statistic.
45+ of them will fail by lags/dc’s but still.
What is that Blurred Frenzy + Doubledodge technique you mentioned?

I guess it’s just specific to my mobile phone, at 19:28 it just stops playing, the screen turns black and the loading circle appears.
Though, what i always wanted to ask you is why you are using the greatsword. I feel a lot more comfortable using the staff, especially in phase 3 where i can take mirror images instead of mantra. Mirror mages works out very nice in phase 3, Lupicus often seems to have problems targeting, giving more time to prepare for his next move.
Nice guide, sadly the video always stops at phase 2 mesmer start.
To make people realize that berserker equipment is the way better way to go?
You CAN run DoA with 8 monks and be successful. You CAN run UW/FoW with 1 ritualist, 1 ranger, 1 assassin, 1 monk, 1 ele and so on and be successful.
You CAN run Arah/other dungeons with 5 rangers and be successful.
But remember, successful means horribly slow in all theese cases.
He is and remains impossible!!!
Yeah, i did not think that target’s armor would have so much invluence on it. In WvW im hitting for way, way more. 800-1000 damage is what i pull off with sigil of fire on my thief, a bit more on war.
Wonder if anyone would die by that combo in pvp.
Anyway, PvE wise Greatsword is better anyway.
Lies, only bovines get that!
Kidding, my Sigil of Air on my thief hits 3,5k. With 1.1 damage coefficient and 955 base damage. If that means it is 955 damage plus 1.1 coefficient, a 3k flame burst would be very likely to happen on my warrior.

Pretty sure 1 Smite Crawler would be enough to let various gw2 groups fail.
Shield of Judgement vs 4 War 1 Mes lol.
What does IIRC mean? If i remember right it hits for 3k damage, but i may be wrong here.
For some encounters the flame burst seems to offer the best dps increase, for example Lupicus. It procs each 5-6 seconds and does 3k AoE Burst, thats 500-600 dps. +5% damage would work out as the same when i’d do 10k dps, which clearly isn’t the case.
I just killed Slave Driver in 7-8 seconds (within the timewarp) in a 4 warrior 1 mesmer pug group. So it’s probably a loss of 10 seconds at all, if its not faster because of the banner bonus at the endboss which i haven’t been able to take down within a timewarp any time.
That comparison the OP did is just cruel. So wrong that it hurts.
With that nerf anet made rangers useful, didn’t you guys see?
*laugh
In 4 hours you could have duo’d that dungeon about 4 times. The difficulty doesn’t seem higher than in Cursed Shore except a very few places.
Hmm, AC Path 1 can be done in 6 minutes duo and in 5 minutes with 4 or 5 people.
Arah Path 2 can be solo’d in about 5 minutes so with 5 men 3 minutes should be doable. This is without much reward tho.
Another fast (6-7 min) dungeon is TA F/F.
I’ve heard SE Path 1 can be done pretty fast too, maybe another 5 minute run.
So theese are the fastest dungeons i think, the time i said is always from dungeon loading screen until endboss is dead.
Try out “nocopyrightmusic” (channel) on youtube, if you find anything good there you can be 99,9% sure that you are allowed to use it.
Warrior is the only class that isn’t totally UP when it comes to dealing damage in PvE.
Maybe i’m not getting it but all i see haviz saying is that bosses have anti-melee mechanics, which is definitely the case.
Oh well, he’s also throwing around with sarcasm, as you already correctly noticed
Like those in AC? It’s even more relying on good dps than before. Unless the game mechanics (dodging instead of tanks) isn’t totally remade berserker gear will always be the only good.
Scholar runes are still better than ruby orbs and will probably always be.
@Waraxx: It’s not only a CoF thing. Everywhere in PvE berserker gear works best by far. Using pvt or clerics or knights (well, an anchor should throw in some knight pieces) are just suboptimal – they suck.
A 5 berserker group is going to do every dungeon in this game faster and easier than a group of random armor sets.
I received “the energizer” and “dusk” by mixing 3 ac shields and one mystic forge stone.
Took me about 100 stacks ac tokens before i got both within 5 tries.
Lupicus seems to have other aggro mechanics each phase. As example on my mesmer, when soloing he has 100% aggro on me during phases 1-2 but in phase 3 he aims only 1 out of 4+ attacks on me. (Though there barely are bubbles or rapidfires
)
When in a team i never have aggro in phase 1-2 (or if i do he looses when i dodge once) but 9 out of 10 attacks are aimed on me in phase 3. My clones pretty much never get attacked then.
On my warrior i often get aggro in phases 1 and 2 but can completely chill behind Lupicus when we have a mesmer and guardian.
Forgot to mention: i ran with a ranger yesterday (for the first time since long ago) and it was hillarous. Pet got killed each attack, often has aggro beeing dead (wtf?) and at least was instantly smashed again when resurrected.

Just solo/duo dungeons, thats the most challenge you can get.
He just killed me with his ranged projectiles in melee. NERF PLZ IMPOSSIBLE.
You never beat him and you expected to go melee him ?
Yes i never did Arah before.
Also, Lupicus used his bubble and killed me with his projectile 1 second later in melee.I mean i can survive his kicks because i always run 4 Guard Teams and wear PVT gear and his AoE in Phase 2 is always getting reflected by Wall of Reflection and Aegisspam but why can he kill me in Phase 3
I call NERF!!!

My advice screw class set up.
Just get people who know what they’re doing. On and make sure you have an Ele for Paths 1 and 3
Okay, let’s screw the class setup but make sure we have an ele.
I lol’d too since a warrior group easily has no problems taking out burrows minus ele. Im sure its “possible” without eles/wars too, but I dont see the point of working harder than you have too if his aim is obtaining tokens for legendary.
The reason i recommended having an ele is that you can burn down each boss in 5 seconds. 2 Eles and 3 Warriors would probably be an even better setup.

Little advice.
Screw the guardian.
Bring 1 Mesmer 1 Ele and 3 Warriors.
I keep brainafk’ing that fight in melee.
Just dont be stupid and try to range her.
Edit: Ohwait, CoF farming requires… smth… ehh… what again?
You’ve not done the Simin fight. That’s closer to impossible. Much, much closer.
I’d rather fight 2 Lupicus’s at the same time than 1 Simin.xD
That’d be a nice idea. I’d love fighting two at the same time.
PvE Class Balance sucks balls – and gets even worse every new patch.
I’m pretty sure Axe 5 won’t work well on Lupicus AoE in Phase 2. For Phase 3 it should, though.
P.S. Part of the reason why i’m posting this thread here, is because i still haven’t seen either Wethospu or Strife making a video of Lupicus solo after the nerf, so i thought i’d put it out there to show that it’s still very much doable with warr.
What nerf?
gz though.
