Wait, so, let’s draw a hypothetical situation here. Let’s say we kill the magehunter and run up to lupi. Let’s say, hypothetically, there is a way to walk into lupi’s room without killing the abominations, that wouldn’t trigger lupi?

Want to play dungeons solo? Go solo dungeons. If you fail, learn to play or stick to groups.
Well, it’s not our fault Anet designs their games so you can finish Arah path 3 for example by killing 7 foes. In fact, it’s even possible to finish by killing 5.
You can finish Arah path 2 by killing 4 foes even. 7 if you do it legit, but in the optimal case, 4.
Only have to kill 4 foes in path 3. Legit way would be 7 (+4, if you consider skipping door mobs as an exploit).
Not even BV. Only soft cc works.
BV? Well, it’s still possible to interrupt/daze/stun him and to build/remove defiant stacks.

You don’t seem to be fully aware of guardians dps. My autoattacks easily hit for 5k 5k 8k while whirling wrath climbs up to over 20k. While passive bringing 5-8 stacks might, 6-9 stacks vuln and aegis to the group, increasing dps output. And things like aegis, stability, and blocks like Offhand Focus #5 is the utility haviz was talking about. Not condition remove, cc, protection, projectile reflection and healing.
And now look what a lightning hammer ele brings. ~2k dps more through autoattacks, 2-3 stacks vuln, no might, no blocks, no selfprotection like focus #5, well, a few blinds which you can’t even time.
Also they have less ability to burst which helps in fighting large groups of trashmobs.
Gaki has been extremely stupid in terms of fighting. The only uses it ever had were keeping plains reaper alive or to break aggro in various speedclears.
Applying Dead Eyed Stare and stealthing are attacks, not boss mechanics like lupicus’ phase changing.
Rangers are not very strong. Not even strong. Not even average. Not even close to beeing average.
Grenth is annoying and takes about 40% of the whole run. (2 minutes clearing area, 4-5 minutes slaying wraths).
I wonder if all theese rangers around here have never tried playing any other profession.
Unless i asked for them to fulfill something like reflect/high dps i won’t even kick rangers. If i asked for berserkers instead and get 4 people with sentinel gear, i’d even leave that party if i started the dungeon.
Want this for PvE. Whoever doesn’t just lacks of skill and is angry that exlerienced groups won’t carry him anymore.
When i’m looking for experienced players in offensive gear because i don’t like beeing the obly useful player in a party, why would pvt warriors with 0/0/30/30/10 be allowed to join?
Uhh Broadicea, most players take any dungeon run under 1 hour to be a GOOD run. You have to remember that anybody who has come from another MMO expects quite a bit of time spent on a dungeon, since in most MMOs a dungeon run takes about 30 minutes to 2 hours to do, with 30 minutes being at the speed run standard. All the MMOs I played until now had the norm for dungeon runs at an hour and 15 minutes. So to me, ANYTHING under an hour is a good run.
For me any time above 20-25 minutes (30 for Arah Path 4) is a BAD time.
Really GOOD times are below 15 minutes (20 for Path 4) and thats mostly about Arah.

Actually the only reason why i even play ranger is getting lupicus solo done on all professions. And you must not know much about lupicus because there the pet will cause a phenomen called “negative dps”.

It does. An inexperienced group of 5 rangers/conditionnecros won’t be able to pass some dps checks like AC Path 1 burrowevent or pre-patch simin.
Paths 1-3 are all about 15 minutes in an experienced team. Path 1 can be a real pain in pugs though. Path 2 is easily soloable in 40 minutes, so even if your team is extremely bad (which happens quite often for path 2) you can finish the run yourself.
Path 3 is pretty fast if people are able to skip. If they aren’t you will have a really hard time.
Well, all in all i played about 40 minutes on an engineer, so im not aware of how much exaactly one can pull off. Same for necro and ranger (solo coming soon i hope). The only reason i was doing them was to have lupi solod on all professions. But even after 30 minutes i can see about how useful a profession can be. I dont believe eles are subpar to warriors, just that warriors have a higher chance of pulling their full potential under average circumstances out. In CoE or AC Eles are way stronger than warriors, also in some other dungeon parts. But i.e. when fighting a non melee mob without chances to pull it into an edge, warriors are usually delivering better damage. Lightning Hammer Eles, Lich-Necromancers and Thieves can do more damage, but will have a much harder time. Also they kind of need the damage support from warriors to reach their maximum potential.
A warrior offers more dps than any ranger, making content easier.
A guardian offers more dps and more suport than any ranger, making content easier.
Repeat this with all other professions.
I already told you why the pet isn’t useful in any way. 50g when you show me a video where the pet is contributing in a good way.

Yes. Because they aren’t. As stated before, calling something good or bad has to happen as comparison. When you now compare ranger to any other profession you will come to the result that rangers suck. Engineers are also really bad, they bring some few might and 25 stacks vuln but are unable to do “good” damage themselves.
Necros, rangers, engineers are worse than other professions – always. Sometimes eles are great but mostly they are bad. Thieves are great but not always able to contribute as much as a warrior. Mesmers themselves are great for utility. The only problem is that more than one mesmer in the group can almost be replaced by are ranger, thus beeing useless. Guardians have almost the same problem but can pull out some okay damage. And warriors are simply always great.

Sure a ranger can tank. A berserker guardian can tank better, does more damage and provides additional support.
A berserker warrior can tank too while dealing 20 times as much damage and more support than a cleric ranger.
So i just went to my bank, did not have any mystic clovers in it.

Portals, timewarps and reflections.
Mesmer DPS is not that great (horrible tbh) compared to most other classes, they have pretty much no offensive support.
The condition removing is not bad, but in terms of “defensive support”/damage output reflections (wardens feedback, feedback) really shine.
Timewarp started to suck a bit after the recent 50% nerf without anything to compensate for it.

Each projectile still does full damage, you just don’t get hit by the 1st 20.

Guys – Rangers do not hit hard. They hit like a warrior wielding a steady weapon.
You can’t keep the pet alive. It’s simply impossible.
And if the pet is alive, you get problems yourself.

I just salvaged 70 stacks when i got the Creed recipe just the next day.
30/10/0/20/10, 5% more damage when endurance is not full, 10% explosion damage, one additional grenade when using kit.
Crit=5 Seconds swiftness.
Swiftness=5 seconds vigor, 20% elexir recharge

I do personally have more gold than i need. Nevertheless im focused on doing content fast, becquse thats my endgame. If i miss 3g from the arah reward (60 tolens) i personally don’t care. If i miss fighting lupicus i.e. i’d be “mad”.
Different players enjoy same content by different ways. Live with it.
