Until Null Field is gone, Condi builds are much worse than DD builds.
Pretty bad in PvP. The knockdown is so incredibly slow, the Vuln debuff actually reduces your DPS if you’re in a 1v1 situation (low damage, plus it’s slow). MH Sword damage is pretty low and Burst skill sucks without Condition damage (again, in 1v1, Immobilize is always good in group situations) and if you do stack Condition damage, you just suck by default, because Warrior condi builds are terrible.
If you want to AoE get a Greatsword and/or Longbow.
Because it’s a ranged weapon that can’t function at range. Even NPCs dodge our blue balls at anything past 900 range.
I really don’t know how are you losing to a Warrior as a Guardian. Never had any problems against them 1v1. Spirit Weapon, triple Meditation, Bunker… no matter what build they are (90% are GS glass cannons anyway, but no problem vs Hammer or Bleed wars either).
Probably the easiest profession to deal with, on par with a DPS Ele.
You’re not meant to be killing enemies with Retaliation alone. That’d be a bit ridiculous, no?
Also, 100b isn’t OP. And it’s not the only multiple-hit attack in the game. And Retaliation becomes truly lethal only in AoE situations.
Stop whining. Adapt.
It has nothing to do with coding. It’s just their fashion trend and they decided to stick with it, despite the fact it would kitten people off.
Combo field: Ethereal in “Symbol of Wrath” now,but still with wirl finisher ->Cleansing Bolts
must be a bugEdit: tooltip all Symbols = Combo field: Ethereal
Edit2: sry only in german, eng tooltip is ok
Must be a tooltip bug, but if Symbols actually became an Etheral field that’s freaking awesome!
Fleet Shadow trait from the Acrobatics line doesn’t work.
Logan.... (Spoiler, only read if you've done Twilight Arbor story mode)
in Human

Blaming Logan for the death of one overglorified noble? Nah. She can burn for all I care. It’s so bizzare to see my character, who grew up in the streets, in poverty, witnessing all the darkness and crime taking place in the supposed “jewel” of humanity to become a loyal lapdog of the Queen.
One noble can’t be the thing that holds the Charr-Human alliance. It wouldn’t hold a full year if that was the case. Jennah is nothing, politicians are easy to replace.
Warrior Sword Skill #4 (Impale)
Tooltip lists the throw component as inflicting 4 stacks of bleeding on impact, however it actually applies just 1 stack.
It applies 4 stacks over time.
Actually, that’s the Tail guard or “Posta de Coda Lunga”. It’s one of the primary guards in German and Italian longsword.
That’s why I like it more than the human “I can lumber that heavy thing around, barely” stance.
It always lasted 5 seconds.
And Retal builds were (and maybe still are) OP.
Doding throw Line of Warding or Hammer 5 is impossible. But stability does indeed counter it.
Please, people, refrain from whining and posting obvious balance-related stuff as bugs. Keep the thread clean!
Not loving to be forum police, but a dev said he wants to fix our class and asked us to help, that’s pretty rare, so let’s not waste this opportunity.
On topic:
Fan of Fire (Longbow no. 2) rarely lands all 3 arrows even at point blank range. This bug seems to be relatively new as well.
BS/Spamseeker with permastealth, always has been, probably always will be.
You would be correct if Runes of Dolyak gave nothing but this passive regen, but they have a bunch of stats on them, much like the other runes. You can say that Dolyak is the set that gives the most HP if a fight is at least somewhat prolonged.
Not sure if Dolyak is worthless. You gotta look at it differently. Over the course of a 30 second fight (a reasonable amount against common PvP builds, I’d say), it basically increases your HP by 900. Still not that much, but it it’s greater than any single piece of gear you can get.
Healing Signet, as mentioned before, is just worse. It does trigger immediately as you take damage, can’t be interrupted, doesn’t reduce your DPS by having a cast time, but… it’s still worse. I’ve no idea what A-net has been thinking.
Sigil of Blood is great, but remember that proc Sigils don’t stack, so pair it with Sigil of Leeching.
