I guess I can not explain it right, would not have anything per second, only with the current system teams gain points per second, which in my view makes it harder to manage and has less emotion which score slowly.

Let me give an example: You are from the Red team and your Team capture 2 areas, after two minutes your team get 1 ponit in the score and Blue Team get 0… so the match will be 1 × 0. There is no longer any gain per second. Two minutes later another score will be made to the team that has more areas at the moment of the end of counting.

more lines could be inserted to annoucer like:
“one minute to the next score”, “thirty seconds to the next score”, “ten seconds to the next score” “ten seconds to svanir return” and etc.

In 4 minutes in the match you could be losing by 2 points to your opponent (0 × 2) and your team decides to kill Titan and Svanir so get 2 points in the score from killing them and the match will be tied… unless the other team score for the end of other 2 minutes in the middle of your process. But if there is still time, your team can go capture an area after killing NPCs and if you already have an area you will get another, with two areas against one of the opponent, at the end of the count you would turn the game.

Sudden death was in GW, but there could be the “golden goal”, if the game is drawn when match time end up, the next team to score a point wins.

I think both the teams and the audience will celebrate more the scores.
It would be like destroying a tower in a moba, I did not want to make comparisons since I do not like to play it (do not send me over there), I prefer play Guild Wars 2, but I like to watch mobas, football (soccer) and a bit of rugby… and follow matches point by point, when watching Guild Wars 2 I only see the playstyle of the player and suddenly someone reaches 500 points without I notice.

I often see some matches where team gets far behind on the scoreboard and it is almost impossible to reverse. I also have seen too many matches balanced and I believe that if the game becomes e-sport we would have alot of balanced matches…

BUT I think it’s important to have a way of turning the game if you get too far behind, it happen in every game as successful e-sports today and also in real sports. I can not remember of any sport or game that has this running score system with teams earning points every second… If you were celebrating one point, you would celebrate all the time?

I think it would be cool if the team with the most points captured after two minutes gets 1 point, and so counting of every two minutes, but teams can get one more point if: kill the Guild Lord, Kill Svanir/Titan, Capture the orb and etc.

Killing players would not give any points, but kill is important because it helps in setting players you’ll face and after 10 minutes Edit:(or more) if the match is tied the sudden death begins.

If any team reach a score that the opponent will not get to tie (counting the chances of secondary scoring) the game ends.

seems that we will not have any teaser trailer…

they said they will fix The Frozen Maw (that never had any problems for me) and the Cowtapult Vista, would be easier to remove them from the game with this new update, but they will not be removed… so I think these two areas will not suffer great changes, should happen similar things as Hautend Doors and Giant Gifts… but I hope not, otherwise I’d be disappointed

It’s real but i think it is ilegal, if Arenanet had authorized this they would have the real name and not Toy X or Y Greatswords… Microsoft may have many problems because they are profiting from it, we players cannot monetize videos of the game on youtube, imagine another company profit using things of the game without permission…

Arenanet and NCSoft can earn a lot of money from it, this is great for the game (I said this on reddit and was extremely downvoted, I did not understand why, they do not want to see Arenanet make money???)

I thought with the Flame and Frost update this event would no longer exist… so if you are fixing then it means that the Norns will not flee to the south and the frozen lake will not be affected… :s

for me should have a pvp mode with many mechanics in a single match

a mixture of AB, JQ FA and Moba.

main objective: kill the Guild Lord

other goals:
- Capture points that will make dolyaks bring supply to the base.
- Supplement increases the quantity and quality of minions equipped with siege weapons to attack the gates of the enemy base.
- Gates only suffer damage from siege weapons (because hit the gate sucks).
- Capture flag to get buffs.
– Maybe the possibility of players buy things with supply, like enviromental weapowns (not siege) that are automatically used when buy (open bag or hero panel should be forbidden during the match).
- minions are Skritt and Quaggan because they are small and can speak fun things when they die or kill someone.
- When the timer expires the two Guild Lords go to the center of the map to face each other

ArenaNet said before the game’s release that sPVP should be easy to understand and i believe that because of it we only have the capture mode, but I think it’s the work of narrators show what’s happening.

The game has to be longer to give suspense, teams have more time to plan and “losing” team have the chace to turn the match.

Any way to get "PVP Guild Leggings" on PVE?

I Want this PVP Guild Leggings on PVE, but i dont find it… if it exists on PVE the name will not be the same.

There is a leggings with the same icon, but the appearance is not the same and I did not like.

Am I the only one really disappointed with the voice acting?

For me the voices are good, the problem is the lip sync and facial/body expressions, the characters seem to be much relaxed, they must be more firms and expressives. I know it has improved compared to beta, but could improve more.

Small races (Hylek, Skritt, Kodan, etc) and monsters (Risen, Dredge, etc) also deserve a better animation and lip sync, this game is rich in detail, but Arenanet forgot that part, I’m sad to see how small races and monsters speak.

Charrs and Asuras are better than other races in this aspect.

Leaderboards per country

We do not know details about the leaderboard yet, but it would be great if I had the option to filter per country. People who have no chance to compete among the best, at least they can be among the bests of their country.

I am Brazilian and I do not know if there are any compatriot in top 100, probably not.

When the Brazilians played League of Legends on global server they do not have any chance to compete, but now we have a Brazilian server and things have changed, many guilds with sponsorship, tournaments and etc… Some GW2 guilds focused on tPvP “stopped” playing since they got their sponsorships with LoL teams.

I know it’s not fair to compare LoL with GW2 tPvP (yet), tPvP loses even for LoL Brazil in number of players, but I believe that GW2 will grow much.

To start would be nice to have this filter to generate rivalries within the country, and have that little motivation, with the amount of different countries playing, already increase the amount of players vying to be “the best of my country”.

maybe one day we can have some tournament here that the champions will go to the world championship even if we are not among the best in the world rank… because that is what is happening in LoL now, we have chances due to server! I would not like to servers divided by country in Guild Wars 2, we should play along with the rest of the world and have a global rank, but have the option to filter.

Perhaps we can have the option of channels per country in the Heart of the Mists. (I just had this idea right now). I’ve seen the responses about channels, you want to create something like a community in the server, I think it should not be that way in PvP, this works in PVE and WvW, tPVP is another game.

We not want! They want! I want to kill PKs not be one. But i know many people who would like to be PK in this game.

I am a PVE player but i don’t like dungeons i like to explore and find GW1 references. I don’t play for loots.
Without dungeons PvE are too easy, DragonTimer is ruining the game, Bosses die in “seconds” because we have many people at these events, scale seems not work :/

I think PK would greatly help to increase game’s difficulty in exploration… not jumping puzzles :s do not think that people who have no interest in PVP would be angry with PKs It is just like a bandit NPC whit better AI. It is just pixels… and PKs would be forbidden to chat with you, they would not know your name like in WVW

My friends left GW2 “for ever” and are playing Dark Souls, they are PVE players, but there has PK and they do not complain, quite the contrary, it adds adrenaline to the game, and the monsters there do unexpected things that is awesome… but for me DS is to dark, i love GW1 lore it is certain that I will buy all GW2 expansions to back to Cantha and Elona.

I know ArenaNet’s ability to improve the game… I just gave a suggestion to blow their mind, they do not have to do exactly as I asked, the greatest virtue of them is creativity to do things like no others.

Because I have seen many people who like PK, and they like to kill PVE players.
In WVW we have only PVP players, they are all prepared to fight.
The grace of PK is killing people unprepared or busy, kill people while they are killing The Shatterer

There are bosses in WvW but is not the same thing, everyone is prepared to face bosses with caution against invaders.

I’ve seen the ArenaNet talk about it several times, said that the game can only support one of two types, WVW or PK, and I agreed because if they put PK like in other games many will stop playing WVW. But it will be a WvWPK it is diferent, because you have to do things in boderlands to access the enemy world.
Does not make sense to have PK with this Lore. I agree, everyone has to help each other against the dragons and the server has to be a community.

But if the PKs are from another server, the server continues to be a community.

Arenanet can make players invade another server because I believe that would be used something like guesting system to do it.

PVE players who hate PK can choose a servers that has a great protection against PKs, servers where there are people who protect the borderlands to prevent PKs open and pass through the rift.

Something new could happen in the Mists and Tyria

Players can open Rifts in enemy bordelands after a series of events and get access to enemy PVE world.

There all players and NPCs are enemies, and killing them several times without dying count in WVW scoreboard, when PVE players kill the PKs also count and PKs that killed much worth more points.

When PK dies he leaves the world.

many people want to play with Skritt, Grawl, Hylek and other minor races after helping then on Personal Story. I’m sure it could happen with major races too.

I know that is possible to learn about minor races without Personal Story, but as we can see the Personal Story is a feature much more engaging and it can solve the fact that few are playing Charr and Asura.

For the record, I started playing as Norn, having not played much GW, and it took me a long time to work out why exactly they were considered a different ‘race’ to humans!

to me everyone should see a spirit of wild in personal history no matter the race. This is part of the Norns and is possible that you make a Norn and did not see any spirit… :s

I love the norns in Guild Wars, would be my main in GW2 but was not

I liked how they irritated Ogden the dwarf… That does not happen anymore, they do not irritate other Norns… except when i chose Vigil and after my decision the Norn from Priory got mad. Norns talking with other Norns are boring, and then when other races appear in history they do not care if you are Norn or not… Your race does not influence in any more

First I would like to say that English is not my language… so let me start.

I played Guild Wars 1 and I love the lore, this was the main reason for me to buy Guild Wars 2. And many times in GW2 I feel sorry for anyone who has not played GW.

Why? By playing Eye of the North i learned about the customs and beliefs of all races, even just playing with humans, and that does not happen on Guild Wars 2 Personal History. You can learn about other races reading stuffs in the game and that’s boring sometimes or you can create a character of another race… many do not do this!!!!
This causes the game to be less rich for them… and i fell sorry!

Asuras are so fun and many do not do by their appearance, the same can happen to all races.

I think the story should have been done in a way that you would have to unite all races, as in Eye Of The North, but according to your race you would know how each one treats your race but anyway discover everything about the orther races. Your decisions would change the home instance of each major city and would have one NPC of each race (not Distiny’s Edge, but they still exist) that follow you for the rest of the story after you help him… none of these NPCs would have the same profession as you then have to choose your profession would change the NPCs you could find. And at times choose one of them (suddenly making another dies) and etc. At the end of each NPC would be the hero on home instance of their city

I do not think it’s fair for people to have a game that will probably never see all in terms of history… It’s cool to have different paths, different quests, but some things should be shown for all and this things can make people love other races and play with him in the future. The Lore is so rich and should be shown in a better way, not forcing to make create an alt, read in-game books or talk to NPCs without dramatic/fun scenes and voice over.

I hope that the expansion Personal Story show more about the major races for people that do not play with them and make people love them and create an alt for love and not for obligation.

I love you ArenaNet and lore team, despite not show everything you were responsible for creating this amazing world.

C’mon ArenaNet, you did it well once.
I know it have problems with necromancer’s minions… but i still I prefer this old way, would be great in Guild Wars 2

In some moments could still be used this way of two characters on screen, but only when it was necessary, as in the tutorial, and other places that have much more players, and when have monsters ataking you so conversation appears in the middle of fight as in The Battle of Claw Island

You could do that in the expansion, but when it is released could also change the old quests.

I consider it a great improvement, and you know how to do it well

Often when I finish an event, the NPC of event becomes merchant… but this NPC sell me a rock or something I do not see utility.

I stopped to look for places I could use a rock to open a secret passage as a gate in AC dungeon, but seems that rocks do not have this utility in places where I saw it selling…

so please create something to make these useful items and rewardings -

one thing I liked was Portal Gun (the name is not exactly that) but it could be better if you could use the skill twice, ie two shots one for each portal and both ground targeted, could also be an infinity item (and more expensive), having to wait minutes to use it again and it could be character bound at acquire. The way this item works now makes some people think it was a fail copy... I liked the idea of ??having this item in the game, because i like those referrals since original Guild Wars but its cold be more useful and rewarding or it will lose the grace after a while
