Was a bit surprised the number of mag players out. We would survive a good fight against one zerg and another would come out of the keep or from the side. You all were pretty quick at responding too most of the night. Felt there was a good fight to be had most of the night. Though we are loosing yaks will be out there fighting and ill try to take as many down with me as i can. Good fights mag and ioj wish you didnt lose so many. Was looking forward to fighting you all.

What class is optimal for commander?

Each have their strengths. I personally like guardian, necro, or warrior. Anything really built tough thats in melee range. If you aren’t going to be up front in the nastiest part why should anyone else? They also naturally follow you in. This allows for better damage placement where you want it. As well as not sitting back and letting ranged classes lock you down when charging them would be the best response.

While I don’t feel class should detract from anyone’s abilities to lead, I do believe melees are better. You can TELL people to do something but if you aren’t advancing with them or in front of them some wont follow or should I say are not as motivated to move forward. Though I do like a two commander setup where one is up front leading others in while the other is back a bit paying attention to other things, relaying information or being the other commanders voice in say team chat.

That’s maybe 20-30 people. None the less you all did well. 7 people who use their brain against 20-30 idiots. Should have easily trampled and killed you all in less than 10 seconds. But it is nice to see people who actually understand that voice chat can be and is important in pvp.

The short answer is no, it is not.

The long answer is, are you really going to come to the forums and complain about players standing in their invulnerable area because it’s right next to their spawn? You are literally spawn camping a server and you’re complaining that you can’t run into their spawn and murder them there too. That’s shameful.

Where was I complaining? I want to know if its an exploit. Now that I know it is not, Im going to go do it myself.

EDIT: Oh wait you dont seem to know where it is, because its nowhere near their spawn.

All classes can be useful in more than one way. I’d say try each in sPVP as it will give you a good representation of the class at cap with equally geared foes. While this is not the scenario you will be in in WvW being that it’s small scale, you can still gain a lot of insight into what classes you like or would want to play. Be sure you spend plenty of time with a class too. If you find you really like a class but aren’t sure take some time with it and try out a lot of builds. There’s a lot of things that people don’t realize your class can do and there’s a lot of combinations.

I appreciate the post but this is dumb. Many people who own a decent computer aren’t playing the game now because it is unplayable. Let them turn down the rendering or something. I came back during the holidays to try the game out and it’s still invisi-wvw.

Agreed it is a stupid concept. This is not catering to all specs. You have essentially added a horribly executed mechanic to cater to low specs machines while punishing higher end players.

please excuse any odities or wrongfull ‘tone’ of my text, im dyslexic

How are you going to be able to allow WvW to go without culling on your minimum spec machines when even with current culling and minimum settings ..and OC’s ..a minimum spec machine will run under 10 fps in WvW battles???
..hell even top of the line machiens with OC’s can barely keep minimum FPS over 30.

Your minimum specs are wrong …plain and simple ..you cant ‘play’ GW2 on those minimum specs. it will ‘run’ ..but ‘play’ ? ..not a chance.

I can only asume ur ‘Engine programmers’ have some “super awesome special” modifications coming that increase GW2 performance by over 100% ..becouse thats what its going to take, from the ‘players’ perspective, for GW2 to be playable on ur current minimum spec machine.
And if they do have these optimizations/modifcatiosn coming ..i hope it isnt done by removing eye candy and/or features of the game.

I am glad that ur superiors seem to be ok with increasing urservers bandwidth, i know that isnt cheap.

Anyone who’s been playing computer games for a while knows that minimum specs is never a guide line that should be followed when considering purchasing a game or computer. That is what it takes to quite simply run the game and play it a bit. By following the minimum specs and playing WvW you are asking to have performance issues. It is the same with almost every single other game out there put in a similar situation. With that being said, because most consumers don’t understand why it’s called minimum requirements the industry should probably remove that and just keep recommended specs. Even then, recommended specs in most cases means you can run most of the game medium settings and more intense situations requires a drop in quality and fps.

I know people don’t always have tons of money to spend on a gaming rig, but sometimes you have to accept the fact that you have to spend more money on one. You don’t even have to spend tons of money to get an adequate computer. If you ask anyone I know fairly well if they need help with figuring out their best possible option for a computer I’m always happy to help them. However, the world isn’t always fair you can’t expect to play every game on a cheap machine.

GW2 is easily one of the flashier mmos out there when it comes to particle effects and animations. Toning some of these down would help lower end machines client side. Even quite simply allow them to set it. Many other mmos have this option why not GW2.

Now, increasing the servers bandwidth usage or anything along the lines of network and server upgrades is the responsible thing for a business to do. If the service in inadequate it needs to be changed to something that can perform. A mmo not willing to do this deserves to lose business. I am glad to see that they are willing to do this. However, why is this an issue to begin with? Why go in knowing it can’t handle it and putting a ridiculous mechanic in place. Simply pony up and buy what is needed. This will put out the product that was promised and make for much more happy players.

I can understand the time needed for new content and knowing what game doesn’t have from the beginning. I along with many other people can not tolerate an inherently broken system like culling. I acknowledge the fact that wvw participation may not have been anticipated to have been so popular. However, if culling was not in to begin with, it would have been much easier to fix the problem.

The fact people have different opinions and they are all valid. One might ill respect the 1v1 and move on or watch. Another would say pfft this is wvw screw 1v1 i want a free kill. Others might say i didnt know i saw a fellow team mate in trouble and intervened.

WvWvW isnt PvP, thats one of the big mistkes people do, dut thats an inprovement for players.
1) JP removed or only accessed once a day per account after killing a specific number the enemies in WvWVW (great idea Victory);
2) Prizes for wining servers, can be statues in LA, or prizes for players (for instance for those that achieved the monthly kill objective)
3) Drop rate of badges and blue prints, as loot, are very low. must be improved (less incentive to grinding JP)

GW 1 or GW2 I ‘love them since 1st day

For those mentioning culling its clearly not an easy fix.

Nevertheless, it is the most important one.
A PvP where you never see your opponents before either you or them are dead is superfluous.

I agree with that, it should be anets top priority.

It’s also something that could have been avoided. It didn’t need to be a problem for the players or the devs if they never implemented it. The very concept of it screams shouldn’t have been put in. None the less here are my 3.

1.) Remove downed state or balance it across classes. Things don’t have to be the same for PVP and PVE you did it in GW1 do it here too.
2.) Increase max targets on AOE.
3.) Diminishing returns or immunity from CC. Nothing worse than being locked down until your dead. Especially when you’ve already burned your utility skill to get out of it.

Do you want a skilled game?

WvW not about skill, nor shall be. It’s about organization. You got organized team, with roles, tactics, coordination AND big enough numbers? You will and should win. You lack any of it, and rely only on “personal skill”? You will and shall lose. All WvW is about numbers and organization of numbers. Tactic, strategy, logistic, intel – this is small scale war. No one cares about how good you can twitch your fingers at sPvP artificial arenas, if you alone here – you’re nothing, stop complaining then and go back to sPvP. Current downed/rezzing system give favor to more massive and organized force, so leave it as is.

Skill encompasses most aspects of a game. People are under this illusion that skill is only about your reflexes. Thats reflexes not skill. Skill is about how you think about what to do in a given situation as well and doing the right thing at the right in the right way. Skill actually does involve tactics, strategy, and knowing what you role is. If you lack most of those attributes you are NOT a skilled player. Small groups can and do play a role in WvW. Due to their mechanics it is a diminished a little bit, but they can play a role.

Smaller groups can mean the difference. Their impact is not always direct or immediately visible, but it’s there and can turn the tide in the large scale fight without even being there. They can also pick off your people running back from rez(your reinforcements) or join in and grind down parts of your zerg. They can cut off your supply lines.

Everyone that is doing anything is helping their server. From attacking, taking a point, killing other players, being a distraction. Small groups have a role in every mmo and always will. Before zergs scream and say they aren’t helping, pay close attention and think about what they might be doing that is indirectly helping you. A skilled smaller group or two communicating with a zerg is a deadly weapon that can be used to cripple your opposition and help to ultimately kill it. Even if they aren’t directly communicating with a zerg.

Things learned in other RvR games....

1.) Nothing wrong with the npcs in this game. In some cases I wouldn’t mind them being more powerful.
2.) Siege was a cool aspect to this game but after playing for a while. It doesn’t feel like it makes the game anymore fun. Just different.
3.) I don’t think players should have to be rewarded with anything, but a fun pvp experience of fighting other players.
4.) Paying for repairs makes it feel like you have to go get money to even pvp and discourages aggressive play. While it doesn’t bother me too much the first few times. It starts to get irritating after a while and I could see why it would bug casual players even more.
5.) There should be some amount of time to get back. However, it wouldn’t hurt to shorten that time a bit. While some may not like that your group/zerg/guild would have to learn how to handle that. Part of pvp is having the staying power to continue a prolonged assault if needed. While I don’t think it should be instantaneous I do think shortening the time it takes to get back in the fight a little bit would be a good idea. I’ve seen all too many people get ghanked on thier way back on a long run back and have to come back again and after a few of those they decide to leave. I mean who would want to waste that much of their time.

You missed one of the most important things to RvR. That is being able to actually form a raid. One of the biggest things that annoys me about this games large scale pvp is you can’t actually form large scale groups. You miss out on so much. Knowing how your raid is doing, communicating, target assist, focus fire. There are several other things that you miss out on but those are the main ones.

I’d say look around and ask around. I’m from Yak’s Bend and I enjoy it much more than my original server. The community over here is dare I say better than most. People communicate with each other and try to work together. I would say most servers are pretty good ones to be on. Get into a guild you like and don’t be afraid to check a lot of them out and find one you can call home. I’ve found these servers to be particularly enjoyable to play on or against:

Yaks Bend, Fort Aspenwood, Tarnished Coast, Crystal Desert. It sounds like the low tier servers might be a good choice too, because they have been there for a bit or have rid themselves of band wagoners. This could provide for a more enjoyable community and less of an, “I always want to win attitude.”

I shared my 7 Things Successful Leaders Do Differently at jadequarry.com. It is still publicly available and I believe it is very material to the OP topic.

However, since it is impossible to plagerize ones own work, I’ll reprint it here for your pleasure (although I think the formatting there is prettier)

1. Successful Leaders put relationships first.

Successful leaders not only build networks, but they also nurture the connections they make. Robert Martin illustrates this point well when he says, “Taking an interest in what others are thinking and doing is often a much more powerful form of encouragement than praise.”

2. Successful Leaders know that meaning matters.

Many people, particularly millennials, build their lives around having fun, giving back and doing something that will uplift others in some way. Successful leaders know how their efforts fit into a broader, more significant context.

3. Successful Leaders use humor appropriately.

Successful leaders deal with tough stuff, but they fight back with levity. Since humor builds positive emotion, it can also help reduce feelings of anger, depression, and anxiety. Top leaders know just the right amount of humor that is appropriate.

Joel Baker said it best when he said:

“A leader is a person you will follow to a place you wouldn’t go by yourself.”

I didn’t see this post until after I made my post. I like this post. It also gives a lot of information you will find useful that you don’t see suggested by most others. I think Zortek did a better job at achieving what I was aiming for when I made my post. Which was what you should know outside of playing the game a lot and learning how leading specifically works in the game.

"Earning" the title of commander

Everyone has there own way of leading and the suggestions others have made are good, but most of the same. Don’t forget about the other aspects other than just the proving to be a good leader. Make sure you communicate with the player base on your server out there even if it’s just to talk. Back up other commanders you believe to be right by reinforcing their decisions, show them you are willing to work with them, and that you are a team player. Leaders in any pvp situations do NOT dictate what everyone does in pvp not matter how experienced or reputable they are. Give and take a little bit.

You are going to have to play politics too. Treat everyone with respect and you will get it in return. Ask for help without being harsh or calling people out poorly. If someone or a group of someones did something wrong explain it to them in a tactful way. Don’t be too nice either. You don’t want to be known as the commander who will bend over backwards for others.

It also helps to explain why you are asking players to do something. This shouldn’t be necessary, but it can help. I can’t tell you how many times I saw players get called out for asking others to do something and someone tell them that’s stupid or don’t listen to him. When the reason said leader is asking for that to be done is a perfectly valid reason and the one calling them out is too blind to see the value in what is being suggested. Stay away from doing this yourself. Opinions will differ and these things should not be talked about in the public channel unless it has to. Someone hating on the commanders who are working together and accepting of different approaches will ultimately isolate themselves. Causing people to eventually not care about what they have to say.

Optimal performance settings in WvW

Post your computer specs as well as your internet connection speed from your ISP and how you are connecting to the internet. Provide that information and we can better give you an idea as to how you can improve on your end if you can. As stated above culling is server side. Some people get it worse than others. Even on higher end machines it is terrible. The lag you are talking about. When are you getting it and in what situations?

How to get PvErs into WvW

Do you really want pvers in pvp? Do you really want that mindset out there of I need a carrot on the stick all the time? The only rewards should be equal gear to pve. Do you really want pve players doing something else out there other than helping the server fight their opponents? They’d be taking up valuable spots for real pvpers. Especially on those reset nights. Putting more bodies out there under the wrong mindset does NOT generate better pvp and sometimes will make it worse.

Penalty for DC'ing?

its only a flipping 2 silver repair ._.
unless you literally dc several dozen times the cost is insignificant.

It’s a chance to get loot worth way less than 2 silver… My game crashes around every 30 to 40 minutes in wvw or LA only. How would you feel, for example 1 mob locks you in combat, then you d/c and you find a broken piece of gear? I know there are people with similar issues… was the alt+f4 issue so big that arenanet had to penalise us? If you alt+f4 you are out of the combat way longer than simply dieing anyway, please, do so I am at war, not at grind fest for badges.

If your game crashes that often you have other issues with either your computer or your internet connection. This game does not crash that often on its own and because other people have issues simply means they have a problem with their internet connection or computer as well. There are a great many other things that can cause your game to crash that are not the game itself.

Realistic Culling

The data used to draw the toons is not sent by the server. The server simply tells your computer what to render from the data already stored on your computer like mipx said. The problem is that they have the server set to tell your computer how much to render.

Agreed I don’t see the needs that for pve either. However pve has almost always been about gear and progression where as pvp has almost always been about something you do at cap after you have everything else. I’d be all for your character simply getting stronger and the only thing you acquire is strictly cosmetic. Incentives and the carrot on the stick is only really there as a time sync to keep people interested for that time or attempt to. In most cases I think it’s just to make up for a lack of good game play in a mmo.

Why does everyone need incentives and a carrot on a stick to pvp. The whole point of pvp is to fight other players and have fun doing that. The current state of the game requires very little pve to get gear to be competitive. We’re lucky we are even able to level in pvp. Almost every other game does not have this mechanic if anything you are hindered by fighting with other players if you are trying to level.

The only thing that could be justified to acquire through pvp is comparable gear to endgame pve gear. You shouldn’t get anything worse or anything better and you most certainly should NOT get gear that is pvp specific in the sense that it is needed to compete. That would ultimately push more people away.

Lets not forget about the bad things that can happen from these incentives you can obtain:

1) Once you’ve got what you want you stop pvping. Is this really the mentality that we want people pving to have? Sure not all will do this, but still.
2) Once you get incentives you are expected to indefinitely have them. Also ties in with point 1. Eventually the devs can’t keep up with what you want for incentives.
3) It will be called a grind. Whether you like it or not incentives would be either called not enough or too much of a grind. Either way people are gonna whine.
4) Some pve players will come to pvp to acquire said incentives and that is their goal then they leave.
5) Also relating to point 4. When said pve players and even pvp players with the mind set of I want that stuff it will change the way they play. It will encourage player farming and or other behaviors that don’t play well with the tactics required to actually pvp intelligently.

Ultimately I believe incentives will hurt more than it will improve. It will change players behaviors for the worse and they will ultimately get more upset and probably cause more hate between players on the same server. People out there to actually pvp and people out there to get so called incentives will disagree on many levels. This will not encourage them to get along. After all would you want to play with someone who has a different goal in mind that isn’t your idea of fun? All of this could ultimately cause many players to stop wvw. I think the situation will be worse of than it would be without said incentives. At best it will be the same. From a developers or anyone’s perspective. What is the point if the outcome will be worse or remain the same and could cause behaviors that most true pvpers wouldn’t want in other players.

What does need to be done is put in the core grouping mechanics that this game currently lacks. For example, there is currently no way to for groups bigger than 5. The fact that that feature left out is ridiculous or broken rather if squads aren’t working as intended. However, requiring 100G and a commander badge to form groups larger than 5 is a joke.

In game voice chat would also be great. That feature has worked wonders for several games out there. You might think oh no then I have to put up with certainly people talking. Fine, do what other games have and allow the leader or a few to mute him, problem solved. It’s such a pain to get people on vent/TS3/mumble/raidcall or whatever you us or maybe you don’t want them to have you voice servers info. You could easily use it when you form a group. Then when you part ways you both go about your business and the other players don’t have your voice servers info.

But lets be honest here. The main reason we all pvp at any point is to experience it and fight other players. That is the basics of pvp and that is all we should need to want to pvp. If you are in fact out there to obtain some loot or whatever then you are going to be here and gone like a fart in the wind and I don’t see how that would produce a long term pvp population.

Large scale pvp grouping is one of the things that they failed at. Most every other mmo with large scale pvp has systems in place for grouping that are ten times better. Part of the reason im losing interest in wvw.

Like Syeria said population capping is NOT a viable solution. Giving you a buff for being outnumbered would be nice, but you have to be careful with that too. Too large of a buff is bad and if the buff applies across the whole borderlands the buff could be abused in smaller scale fight situations like your group of 5 say having the buff, and you happen to run into another group of 5 or so. If equal skill across all players then the buffed group should win.

If you could some how allow it to effect a smaller area temporarily, constantly pulling the population in the immediate area, that would be something new and great I haven’t seen. It would allow for the area that needs to be effected to be effected without unbalancing different fights in the region.

Some will tell you it’s WvW numbers aren’t suppose to be fair. Which has some truth and is completely dependent upon ones view of PvP and what it should and shouldn’t be. If your feeling frustrated about being beat, because they have more numbers. Just remember that you could beat them with less when they had more. Your players are of a higher quality and more skillful. Had you had even numbers you would win. Look at it this way. They had to bring that many people to take your tower from 14 of you.

Just think about what kind of players you and the others are. Who cares if they beat you with more numbers? It’s about how YOU view that situation. You can’t always control the situation, but you can always control how you view it and what you take away from it.

Angry rant against bandwagon guilds

Nice story.

However, guilds moving servers took WvW from 1 close tier, to multiple tiers with close matches in them.

Have you seen our current matchup? The system believes that Aspenwood is a smidge better than Darkhaven. Having a… what, 300k point lead, is NOT a “smidge” better. Its the equivalent of pairing a hardcore pro gamer up against a casual 12 year old girl that plays Kirby because he’s pink. There is this massive ravine in any Tier 4 matchup. The top 10 servers are significantly superior to the other servers. Its like two different WvW setups.

You realize at the start there was only 1 tier which held slighty close matches, and others were mainly 1 server dominate.
Now you have multiple tiers holding closer matches

1-2 Matches doesn’t mean all of them.

Don’t completely omit the fact that there was NO WAY to properly match up servers at launch. It takes a while for servers to be matched properly. Server transfers disrupt the systems ability to properly match up servers. If there weren’t server transfers yes it could be rough in the beginning, because you can not possibly match up servers correctly with limited or no data at all on how the servers would do against one another. However, after long enough this issue should be corrected.

When you throw in large transfers into the mix that’s another drastically different variable that in many cases will not allow for correction. Especially when it changes so erratically. The reason the higher servers match up decently is because their population and performance has been allowed to stabilize for the most part. This allows for better match ups to occur in those tiers.

It takes time for the match ups to become optimum. If you allow for continued transfers though some match ups will indefinitely turn out bad. The game has been out for coming on 3 months now and transfers have been around that whole time. One can not factually state based on any evidence that there would have been more mismatches without transfers. It has not had a chance to even be tested properly.

Downed state should be removed from PVP all together. It doesn’t add anything positive to it. IMO it actually adds several negative things:

1)The larger group can get their people back up crazy fast.
2)Sometimes people rarely die because of this mechanic. This causes already possibly stale fights to turn even more boring. People get downed but they don’t die and that is lame.
3)One way a smaller force can push back a larger one effectively is by being smart about their kills and killing some key players to even the playing field. With downed state it makes this immensely more difficult for the smaller force.
4)Makes it too easy to react to focus fire. If people get focused quickly and efficiently they should be dead and that is that. Also ties into point 3.
5)Takes to long to finish someone off. In many cases trying to finish someone off can effectively weaken your position in the current fight. If they are efficient at preventing you from doing so you spend a disgusting amount of time trying to finish them off, because of the long induction and cc that may be used to stop you.
6)Also tied into point 5 is that the alternative to kill them with raw damage takes too long as well and takes you away from other aspects of the fight and provides for a bland way to finish someone off. Even if you AOE many times someone can sit there through your AOE and get the person back up and that is just stupid.
7)Setting back the inevitable. This allows you to sit your butt on the ground throwing rocks and what have you. If you get back up oh look now it’s just a longer fight. It just drags out fights to longer than they need to be and removes much of the tactic of getting in there taking care of it quick and getting out or taking the point before enemy forces arrive. Lets not forget about the overly annoying and irritating skills that allow one to warp or move around to avoid a finish while the other players chase you around. Lets be honest here this is only a delay in what will eventually come and is unnecessarily annoying and lets not forget about skills like vengeance.

Overall downed state really just drags out the fight to unnecessarily long durations and prevents people from dying. I don’t know about everyone else but I find pvp much more fun when everyone on both sides is dying more often. I do however find this mechanic viable in PVE. I see where it could be of much use in PVE. However, in PVP I think it has no place and takes away from what could be an otherwise good PVP experience. I find GW2 PVP to be fun, but I think it would be more fun if they took downed state out of PVP.

I like rankings being posted, but with transfers the way they are the community would being doing themselves a favor by NOT posting rankings of any kind. ANet should not do anything like this until transfers are closed. This is just an easy tool by which transfers can use to further ruin wvw.

They need something in place that would help to stabilize the populations first. As others have stated above, do something that would funnel people to lower population servers. At that point once things are more balanced across servers, stop transfers. Bioware screwed up by having to many servers. ANet may damage their game by continuing to operate in this manner. ANet boasted how they wanted WvW to be about server pride and have servers compete with each other almost as if it were a sporting event. Sometimes one wins and the next game or match the other could win. ANet you are not doing things the way they need to be done to make what you yourselves had as a vision for WvW come true.

Paid Server Transfers Won't Solve Much.

Many mmos limit you on the number of times you can transfer such as you can’t transfer if you have in the last 30 or 45 days. I would say make them pay real life money through Anet’s site in such a way that you can’t do it through the gem store so one would ALWAYS have to use real money and not money they can convert from gold to gems.

Repairing armor in WvW cost way too much!

Armor should have no cost to repair in pvp. Many other games do this and I find them far more enjoyable than one you have to pay for repairs. That or make repairs cost very low specifically for pvp. To those saying that you should die as much or purposely play in a zerg, how does your logic produce good pvp? It doesn’t, it produce stale lame ranged zerg vs zerg fights that sometimes turn into staring contests shooting back and forth a little bit. If you enjoy that then so be it, but to me and a chunk of the player base it isn’t enjoyable. I do like zerg vs zerg fights when they do not transpire as I stated above.

It also does not encourage melee combat. Some people prefer melee. To force people to play ranged serves no positive purpose. Playing aggressive is not a bad thing. Some people prefer that play style. We need them to get kills, to get killed, and to start action. Several aggressive players can cause many epic battles while people try to kill each other. They end up getting the other side to react to them causing them to attack and/or pursue thus the other side reacts in a turn and boom you’ve got a battle on your hands. That ladies and gentlemen is what wvw should be about. You go out there to pvp that means players fighting and killing. Not players starring each other down doing a bit of damage here and there.

Another thing someone dying a lot in pvp does not make them stupid. Maybe they are new, aren’t that good, just playing for fun(imagine that) or they are aggressive. We were all new at one point and weren’t always good. Plenty of people play for fun. It is a game after all. Yet some like to play aggressively and I probably fall into that category on occasion. In several other mmo’s I could care less if I die a lot and played aggressively to get stuff started. It was more fun, and I usually play a melee class. If you want to laugh at me for dying a lot go ahead I’m enjoying myself playing the game my way.

The problem is that this game tends to punish you for dying in pvp, which IMO isn’t right. If that’s the model ANet wants to support than so be it. However, I feel players would get much more enjoyment out of not being penalized for dying or not as severly. This would cause other players to go back to some of their play styles that they may have otherwise be forced out of, and would give us more of those players that cause fights to start, causing more fun. Aren’t video games about fun. Isn’t that what we all should be after? If you have fun with the current system and like to stay back all power to you. Please respect others differing opinion of what is fun to them.

This is not intended to say certain players play a game the right or wrong way. It is intended to get across the point that everyone plays differently. Not addressing how other people feel about the system does not help solve the problem. Developers need to do one of the things that they should be best at. That means take in the feedback listen to what others have to say and see why a change is needed without doing the extreme.
