Just went to Stonefall Estate and it does the same thing. Figured it would, just wanted to be sure.

I noticed this when completing the heart at Charradis Estate. This is my first Charr, so I don’t know how they held a water bucket before, but it looked a bit odd. Then when I went to use it, it left my hands entirely, disappeared below ground, still worked on the stinky cows, and flew back up to my hands.
I found a youtube video that someone posted a week ago with the same problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DboiV7-ct0
I stood on a fence to try to see what exactly was happening and took a screenshot. I outlined the bucket since it blends in with the fence, but it turns to face me and dumps the water in the correct direction. Also, because of how it’s dropping and turning, my character’s arms follow, causing them to disappear into my legs.

GW2 a game for PvErs

And a ton of the bugs they work with are for people finding ways to cheat in PvP. Doesn’t seem like it’s lacking in interested players.

My question though is this: You seem to be mad that all these Living World events are PvE oriented. They are after all the actual world (environment, it’s mobs, and the NPCs) and how it’s changing at present. How would you suggest this be made PvP driven? I don’t consider fractals, dungeons, stuff like that PvP. How would changes to the physical (digital, whatever, lol) world and it’s inhabitants be Player versus Player? Have players be able to summon ancient gods that can destroy a city? I’m not understanding the complaint.

Achievements are the new "!"

People seem to forget that this is still an MMO. Whatever else you may think it is, it’s not. It’s an MMO. To have a game that is playable forever, some things need to happen. Quests/Achievements are there to keep people moving. Once you get a level 80 character with perfect gear and everything, what point is there to ever playing on that one again (talking about open world, not pvp/wvw). The fact that they’re so easy is because of the tons of people that will gripe when things get too difficult for them. That’s why the harder ones or the ones that take more time and dedication to get come with titles. THOSE are what you show off. The fact that they’ve hidden that from some for this long just shows that they’re at least being somewhat original about it, which is the point, really. They’ve managed to get rid of grinding to level, but some MMO grind is just inescapable. Yet they’ve still made it fun and you still feel involved, whether it’s with other people, the area you’re in, or the NPCs, I’ve never felt like I’m just clicking around to kill a certain number of cliche fantasy animal to collect whatever drop item so some NPC can do something that really wasn’t worth my time helping them. And when it gets too close to becoming that, there’s humor tied in somewhere to show they meant it to be that way. Maybe I’m just lucky, or maybe it’s because I haven’t played the crap out of every MMO there is and don’t have a lot to compare this to.

I do however strongly agree about wanting the return of missions. I love it when I’m running through a place and talk to an NPC I’ve never bothered with before and find some little bit of lore or a link with someone across the map. As the game’s designed right now, you’re kind of rushed through places and there’s never really a reason to talk to NPCs except to get an event started. And when you know you’re just starting an event, are you really going to take the time to read what they’re saying or just click through the dialogue knowing what’s going to start up? When I’m playing, I constantly have the wiki and google open so I can look up NPC names or locations if I think there’s interesting lore somewhere, but there’s not much on the wiki and no one’s really talking online. Not that I’ve managed to find anyway. It’s like they think everyone playing has played GW1 to death and know everything available there plus what was on the wiki and whatever other sites. I don’t. When they said Evon Gnashblade’s fractal would have to do with some god, I had no idea who they were talking about. I tried looking into it further and found out he died at some point? Ok, that just makes me more confused. They should have gone WAY into lore before having this vote because I get the feeling (and I found people talking about rumors) that depending on who won a new part of the map might be opening.

Sorry to ramble. I rarely post and when I do I get carried away. I know I don’t have half the information I need in order to talk about this stuff, but I just can’t listen to people complaining about things that are going to happen anyway anymore.

Beach by Marriner statue stretched

I decided to get the History Buff achievement, but when I got to the beach below the statue, I noticed it seemed stretched over the shape of boulders but was transparent and I could walk into it. It’s light and hard to see from anywhere but right in front of it.

Nameless weapons?

Ah, so it was just a glitch? Lol I’m so paranoid sometimes, but it’s late and my caffeine’s wearing off. Guess I’ll go sleep until the effigy ceremony starts.

Wasn’t sure where to post this, but I think a player was manipulating something, so I didn’t want to list it as a bug. Anyway, I was in Lion’s Arch (on Ferguson’s Crossing), hanging around waiting for an update, and someone started linking random weapons with no names. If this has been talked about before, I couldn’t find it, even searching Google.
I tried taking screenshots, but apparently those don’t capture the popups when you’re hovering over things. You can see the four posts of his with the empty brackets though. The last three posts had seemingly normal pictures and basic but fairly strong stats, no extra stuff like toughness or anything, no level requirement, and were soulbound on acquire. The first post had all that but the picture looked like someone pasted a sword into MSPaint and wrote “Dredge Weapon” around it in red.
Probably nothing to panic over, but I rarely get as into a game as I have GW2 and I’d hate to have that ruined by someone glitching it or doing something weird to hack accounts (not sure how that stuff works).

Missing chest for King Jalis's Refuge

I’m in there now and they’re both missing for me too. The veteran seemed a bit glitchy, but my game’s been a bit laggy all night for some reason.

WvW map completion VS PVE map completion

in Suggestions

I don’t know you, and I doubt we’ve ever even met in game, but you’re my new best friend.

I’ve been trying for a while to get WvW map completion. I have 91% map completion and have managed to get a few WvW vistas and skill points, but since most of the POIs are in a fort with an actual gate, I get swarmed by veteran NPCs before I can even get in. I know I don’t have the best build, but it’s one that works for me and has allowed me to solo the entire pve map, and I don’t really want to rework stats and waste gold just to be able to get a few more POIs. I’m fine with how much work and time has to go into getting a legendary, even if you’re just going to buy one someone else made, but I don’t like being forced to play pvp areas when I don’t want to.
Maybe someday they’ll have two percentage bars, labeled PvE map and WvW map completion. World could still be above those and have a fancy reward all it’s own, but it’d be nice to get something, maybe not towards a legendary, I guess, just for getting the whole PvE map.

Would You Still Play if There was NO Loot?

I would play. I don’t know if I’d be as obsessed, but I’d definitely still play this game. I have too much fun just exploring the environment. I’ve started new characters and one of the first things I can’t help but do is rerun some of my favorite jump puzzles, even though I know I won’t get anything even worth selling at the end. I’ve found hidden unique places that have absolutely nothing in them but I go back again if I’m nearby just to look. This is probably why I’m hopeless in WvW and stuff, but still. I like being immersed in the environment of the game, not just the people I’m around.

Here’s mine, Zen Folie. Not as strong as she could be, but got to level 80 without too much trouble.
