Completed Cursed Shore to 100% recently and got 3 Transmutation Stones from the explores chest which I will never use because I got to level 80 doing the zone completion. Why would a game reward me with something I can’t use and not an appropriate reward for the zone I did?

Give him 25 stacks of vulnerability and 25 might to a full zerker ranger with Longbow can hit him for up to 200k

What I mean is I don’t know what to do when I go to play and it seems as though there’s nothing to work for anymore.

I really loved fractals and I’ve dedicated myself so much to them as an experienced Ranger and having reached the 45AR limit but the ~2 hours of work on 20+ for peanuts post January isn’t too enticing anymore.

Orr used to be fun but when the Champs started coming with the groups of risen gets very boring and difficult when there are 2 Champs and only a few players because it was leveled up by people just wanting to tag events. There’s also no incentives for players to do all the other events around Orr such as Balthazar and Zho’qafa Catacombs(or should I say, there’s no way to tell players these event are ongoing and encourage them to join without the use or external websites like Dragon Timer).

Go for a Legendary?…Sorry but I don’t think the ‘Legendary’ weapons in are truly legendary, every time I see one it just screams “look at me, I farmed CoF for this” and there’s no way to tell if someone has just bought it from the Trade Post or craft it themselves. Although I do like the whole process of crafting them(Gifts of so and so), I think a true Legendary that would be worth having as a goal would be based on something that makes no connection to the games Trade Post so to ‘cost’ of which will always remain the same for example The Gift of Mastery and Gifts from dungeon tokens. Precursors are also are a nice touch and one of which is only sensible for the way in which weapon type you want but the way in which you have to acquire one is ridiculous. I think the way in which these should be acquired should be a culmination of what a players adventure is in Tyria even to put aside my opinion on getting Gift of Fortune and not just matter of throwing 4000 rares/exotics into a well and hoping to get one or mindlessly farming CoF(again) to buy one from someone who didn’t even want one. Scavenger Hunt sounds awesome but I think its just something that was said to keep people quiet for the time being, and even if there was just a thing its not like they will be handed to players for finishing the ‘Scavenger Hunt’ without ArenaNet’s favorite recipe called RNG. And then, even after all that I will have to ‘ruin’ it by transmuting it because it doesn’t have the stats that I prefer.

I try to level alt characters but when I get them to 80 I find it stressful that I can’t shower them in ascended amulets/accessory’s as that I can do with rings with different types of builds for different situations as it takes a month of Laurals and Guild Commendations for only one build on one character. You can buy rings with both Laurals and Pristine Fractal Relics, I really don’t get why we can’t buy accessory’s and amulets with Pristine Fractal Relics when they are very much a FoTM orientated gear?

What can I do?

tl;dr: someone depressed about their impending death finds GW2 may not be doing it for them anymore.

I get 1-2 of these every time I do CoE, they are worthless.

*No longer revives defeated allies.

Only time anyone would use this skill is if someone is dead because if someone is downed and they are killed or revived/rally as the pet is walking to them it will reset and you won’t be able to use it again while its on cool-down rendering the skill useless.

I think the best way to ‘fix’ this would be to let the cool-down reset if the pet down not apply any health to a downed ally. There also needs to be something to command the pet for which person to revive because is 2 people are downed and you use Search and Rescue for.

Priority for players over NPC’s is also a must.

The question we should be asking ourselves here is, What is the real life equivalent of CoF 1?

Ectos will jump for a short period of time considering its what most players do with extra tokens. I say short because CoF farmers are doing it for the Gold and not the 5 tokens after DR. Depending on how much its nerfed will see many people moving to HoTW or CoE.

Wasted 2 hours yesterday running level 38 for all but 1 rare and 2 cores of some-sort when I could of been in Orr or a 5 minute group event for the same amount. I remember when I started fractals in December/January I’d always come out with 3-4 rares or 1-2 rares and Exotic for levels 1-10. I taught then that the higher the level the better the loot but now it seems the opposite, I also suspect that there may be some type of DR that doesn’t reset on chests for each level. For example if I did level 40 for the first time on my account then do it again a week later for a daily the loot won’t be as great as from the first time.

Well its just a concern I had, I’ve always enjoyed fractals and will continue to do so even if the loot sucks but its always nice to have alternative to CoF, mindless Orr farming and the boring pew pew pewing of dragons toes.

I could really use a few more and will pay cash, Its one of the few things I find to be of use on the gem store to justify me spending real money on and wanting to support Anet and all the free content they’ve been giving us.

Level 38 ranger here. I only ever find use for non-zerker builds(for me toughness/vit) at the first stages of Dredge(panels), Cliffside(seals) and Snowblind(Vet Svainer) and certain boss fights between 10-29 only. One of the most crucial fractals to have full zerker is for Grawl Shaman 30+ or you’ll find yourself having to fight lave eles over and over.

It’s fine by me. The dropping prices also gives Anet room to introduced crafted ascended items in the future if they wish to do so. That way you wont have the opposite effect, which would be ectos rising to insane prices simply because many of them are required to craft ascended gear.

Mists Essence will probably be a replacement for Ectos for crafting ascended gear.

I’d gladly fork out more cash for these although I don’t think they should cost as much gems as the Mining Pick since the higher tiers of wood is not as valuable.

Was this specific to new rings or is it for Amulets too?

Typing /pop or /population in chat give you the amount of players in the area.
/Who gives a list of all players and class in the area.
/world give the number of players on the server.

Get usual reward for doing 5/5, I think a reasonable way to get more Ectos into the economy would be to give one for completing all daily challenges.

I had over 500 or so Ghost Peppers and I saw that Spicy Pumpkin Cookies sold well on the TP and after I crafted everything for them it won’t allow me to discover the recipe for them.

I can’t seem to understand how in this game you can craft thousands of complicated items that need such a variety of materials and we can’t craft our own gathering tools using wood dowels and Ingots depending on what tier you want to craft.

I think something like this would be a fantastic opportunity to give players another option at getting the Sturdy type harvesting tools with 250 uses since Lionguard Lyns is leaving in the next patch.

I used to get them for daily, and a few weeks ago I started to get basic transmutation stones on my level 80 character which can’t even use them. :/

It would be nice if we could transmutate basic to fine in the mystic forge since I honestly don’t think people actually use them.

We’ll see in roughly 8-10 days for those committed to getting their dailies and monthlies done just for an ascended amulet. In the mean time, my guess is one of the following:

Ascended Amulet + Shard of Crystallized Mists Essence + 3 Globs of Coagulated Mists + 5 Vials of Condensed Mists Essence = Ascended Amulet(Infused)

or:

Ascended Amulet + Some form of Mists Essence + Gift of Ascension + 250 Globs of Ectoplasm = Ascended Amulet(Infused)

Buy from class trainer for 7 silver and resets all trait points when consumed.

Just did my first run of fractals level 20 I didn’t manage to get a Reflecting Crystals for when he does the suicide laser attack and so was killed. After re-spawning at the checkpoint I was going back to open the chest but was getting hit with agony as I jumped on the set of blocks after the last group of Irukandji. I died 5 times and held up the whole group just for a few greens and blues from the chest.

Is this intended or bug? Thanks.

Hi, I would like to know if the new utility infusions will ever be added to Ascended Rings in a future update?

Lionguard Lyns will be returning in the end of January build without the Black Lion Keys in her inventory. She will then remain up for everyone to liquidate their Commendations and will likely be leaving entirely after about a month.

I’m in love with her voice, please use her in something else.

Also, I’ve never got the chance to get the gathering equipment with 250 uses. I would be nice to make these available even after she is gone.

I just got a message from some gold seller titled “I LOVE YOU” and it got me thinking now that they probably have my in game ID so to add me and spam me there too or use it for something else.

When I first entered the game in Lion’s Arch after the update I get a little sad about how plain it looks like. What I miss most of all is the snowball fighters in the main area, every-time I heard them was a wonderful experience.

I don’t mind and I realize the event would have to conclude sometime but would of been nicer to see a more gradual conclusion starting from January 6, the day of Little Christmas maybe with some cinematic of some sort.

how do I get my pets to “Save” their name, everytime I switch they use the name of the last one. :/

Today I crafted my first exotic armor set of Berserker’s Emblazoned Armor of which I plan to insert a Superior Rune of the Ranger into each.

I am looking for some advise mainly on what type of Rings, Accessories and Trinkets I should be looking for to complete my exotic armor set. I would just like to have something that I can comfortably solo level 80 areas, WvWvW commander and not be the one holding my group back in Arah Explore all paths.

I have taught about working towards Ascended Trinkets because TP gear is very expensive but might be harder to get then I think.

Is buying items with Gems the same as people buying Gems with real money as its putting those Gems back into the economy?

I remember when I started playing around a month ago I could get 330 Gems for 1 Gold, now I can only get 165 Gems for 1 Gold. That means I have to work twice as hard if I wanted to buy something from the Gem Store by converting Gold.

I fancied at the time to upgrade to Digital Deluxe which worked out at around 6 Gold which I taught was fine because I never like having to much unspent gold on my account. The Digital Deluxe which on another note should only cost 1600 Gems equal to that of the price difference between Standard and Deluxe. It just seems to me that that behind doors, Anet are trying to push micro-transactions on players to make up for not been subscription based.

I think a cap of at most 50 Silver should be put in place or that prices in the Gem Store should also fluctuate with Gem Prices.
