Rampage as One, Call of the Wild and Red Moa will give you 100% up time on Fury so cycle through them as soon as they cool down. Leave Red Moa on passive because sometimes the F2 skill can bug out while it is in combat and won’t give fury or just be out of range.

You need a total of 2515((2515-822)÷21.16=80%) points in precision to achieve 80% Critical Chance and this build will give you 2518!

Any ideas on similar or alternative builds that maintain 100% CC are welcome. I’d especially like to see one with Ascended armor.

I completed this achievement and it did not count towards The Nightmare is Over meta even though Nightmare Terminator did. Is this intended?

I’m curious if anyone knows if mystic cogs will be given out again, I still got 3 toy frames and 500 cogs from last year.

Just but some glue and stuffing from TP and craft 2 of the 3. I have 2 frames and 200 cogs left from last year so I also hope we can finish then but I don’t think so now that they are sold for Gems meaning less profit for NCSOFT if they gave us cogs again.

I’m very disappointed with AreaNet for opting to go with the ‘pay gold for agony resistance’ to cater to those with more gold then sense and allowing inexperienced fractal players with very high agony resistance join high level fractals when the rest of the group cannot see what their personal reward level is.

I propose to AreaNet to add in the following recipes for players that actually pay high level fractals and have excess account bound materials.

The first is the same recipe for infusing rings and the second is the same as back-piece but I don’t think you should need as many Globs Of Ectos or some other ascended material. Personal I’d think the first one would be preferable to the majority of players.

First is the same as infusing rings.

1 Shards of Crystallized Mists Essence
3 Globs of Coagulated Mists Essence
5 Vials of Condensed Mists Essence

Second is the same as infusing an ascended back-piece but needs changes to ectos.

Let us salvage ascended rings with a new type of salvage kit only found in fractals and instead of awarding random weapons it would make more since to reward players with a weapon they actually want.

I got downed and still got the achievement.

I just read this on Reddit, a player that hadn’t logged in in a while was sent 400 free gems while that put the time into actually playing the game get the same reward for reaching 5k/10k achievement points. Perhaps I will not bother logging in just to do daily’s until an expansion and wait a couple of months for my free Gems…

this week = giant tower out of nowhere.

NPCs = Flashback, it was actually here the whole time, hidden from sight. Lady Kasmeer managed to break the spell.

I thought it was great. I was disappointed at first too, seeing how much change kessix hills had “randomly” undergone in a flash.
But once I got to the cutscene and they revealed it had been an illusion all along and only now are we seeing what was really happening, I was decently impressed for the first time in a long time with the storytelling.

So you failed to see the tower before Lady Kasmeer broke the spell? Not sure if it was a bug or intended but in my instance it was there from the start.

I was a bit confused with how the story instance went down when I first ported to Kessex Hills, when first inside the instance I could already see the Tower as expected then when I got to the last part of the quest it somehow disappeared before Lady Kasmeer unveiled it again and I feel like it was a waste of time for Anet to make a cut scene for it as it wasn’t as dramatic as it could of been the first time seeing it.

Looking for a guild/group that does speed runs for mostly CoF, HoTW, CoE and Arah for tokens to buy rare armor and salvage on a daily basis.

For fractals I am reward level 49(having trouble lfg to get to 50).

My primary class is full zerk Ranger(55 Agony Resist) in terms of playtime and Fractal reward level but I also have full zerk Warrior and Mesmer that I can use if needed and also plan to level a Guardian when I get my next exp scroll. I have over 9000(no joke lol) points and mini Liadri also! Not that it should make a difference but I’m on Aurora Glade and don’t plan on changing.

I’d like a plan to do Fractal 28/38/48 daily then CoF, HoTW, CoE and maybe Arah.

I have enough Bloodstone Dusts to craft enough ascended weapons for 40 characters but Empyreal Fragments are very boring to collect, I found the rate as which I got Dragonite Ore nice as i was getting what I needed from waiting for my daily crafting of other ascended mats.

There should be an achievement for completing World 1 and World 2 without dieing, both individual and tiered.

I think there should be a cheaper way to upgrade exotic weapons that require Eldritch Scrolls and Mystic Coins crafted using Mystic Forge to Ascended rather then spending hundreds of more gold crafting both then using a transmutation stone.

I noticed in the patch notes that MF gear “have been flagged as account bound and will now allow double-clicking to permanently change the stat combo” so I taught great, now I can gear for my other characters with ascended trinkets but when I logged into the game after the patch downloaded I saw the MF gear in my inventory and it still says thakittens soulbound. I only ever wanted to have one set of gear on my characters but doing alot of farming in Orr it helps wit drops somewhat but now I don’t see any other stat combination for my class viable.

Not sure what happend these a few months ago but is there any chance of them being relesed with the ‘Back To School’ theme?

I’d love to see some new mechanics added to these bosses also but hopefully nothing recycled and with reasonable rewards for people to actually want to do them as 1 rare + chest of blues/greens probably won’t be worth it(leave these to champion kill events).

Ok, yes I know this isn’t a Guild Wars 1 forum but I felt as though it wouldn’t get much attention anywhere else.

I was hoping to grab Guild Wars in this years Steam summer sale but was a bit disappointed to see it hasn’t been discounted when almost ever other game has been discounted and the ones that aren’t are new releases. However don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Guild Wars is a fantastic game and believe its still worth for the price it was released at but for a player like me that’s already emotionally invested in Guild Wars 2 the only reason I’d want to play is to learn about some of the lore, explore areas not available in Guild Wars 2 yet, revisit the ones that are there now and pick up some Hall Of Monument points along the way.

Their backend even limits you, so you can’t even make a direct request above 250. Not sure why they would limit it like that, since placing an order for 1000 items is easier to process than 4x 250. The only actual reason I can see for limiting it is to give everyone a chance, so that 1 person doesn’t have an entire chunk to themselves. This allows other people to place their orders in between the person that is placing multiple orders, for an actively traded item of course.

Unlike selling, buy orders aren’t throttled and can be placed outside of the game. By browsing the trading post through <insert web browser> using the game’s session key, you can easily run a simple script to place multiple buy orders instantly.

Or buy and sell with a Smart Phone hehe

It takes literally 3 seconds to make a buy order… and you can make more than one at a time for the same item… but I hope you’re not buying them to trade for the wings since those are like 4g on the tp

I don’t mind the clicking its just how I have to put in the amount I want to buy and the price every time, I wish it would remember it untill you closed the TP window so I can just spam “Place Order” and no I don’t want it for wings…its for the food buffs.

I need 100,000+ Zhaitaffy so I will need to place 400 buy orders and will take me 6 weeks to so. Is there any other way to place larger orders? :s

I used the same method in this video and it works in game when you place the “Yes” for confirming the item you want to buy over the item you are buying so you only need to hold the macro key that you set it to.

I haven’t bought the few hundred that I plan to buy but I’d still like confirmation from the devs is its ok to buy stuff from this vender this way. :/

Not sure if this is a bug or intended as part of the Orr loot nurf but I’m sick of turning up to Temple events from the start and tagging almost every mob that spawns but getting no loot or XP except a blue or green from the 3 or 4 Champions that spawn only to not qualify for the daily chests because I haven’t kill enough mobs that spawn.

Its happens with every Veteran type mob in Orr but more so with the spiders from the Melandru chain.

Noticed this today also.

If the patch for the Sky Pirates content is tomorrow, Tuesday 25th June will that mean there will be some achievements we won’t be able to earn or will we still be able to finish them up untill July 9th?

This one has been on my mind ever since Ascended Amulets and Accessories were introduced and I don’t understand why the developers don’t make it an option.

A few weeks ago they also made it so players can buy Amulets with a combination of Laurels and WvW Badges of Honor which is great but there needs to be more/same ways for obtaining all the types of Ascended trinkets.

Right now I have 3 level 80 characters and lets say none of them have any Ascended gear and don’t have any Laurels and I wanted gear each of them them up for FoTM 40+ BIS and for now lets keep it at one build type and the shortest way I can acquire the different tokens to buy them. I would take me roughly a whole month of not missing a daily Laurel or Guild Mission of a fully upgraded guild just to get the Ascended gear for one build on one of my characters which is roughly 3 months of the same thing every day/week! And what if I wanted a different build for those characters? I might want full Berserker/Tank builds for my Ranger and Warrior or Berserker/Condition builds for my Ranger and Mesmer. or with a combination of some other tokens.

Rings: Make them available to buy with Guild Commendations.

Accessories: Make them available to buy with Pristine Fractal Relics or normal Relics.

Amulets: Make them available to buy with Guild Commendations and Pristine Fractal Relics or normal Relics.

This way, players will be able to focus on getting the fun type stuff like minis and tonics as a bonus from doing their dailies or utility/buff type stuff to share with their Server/Guild from their Guild Commendations.

There are indeed!

We’ve had a lot of feedback from folks asking for more difficult places in the game that can be more rewarding to play in. Our intent with Orr (and Southsun) is to create areas that are more fun/difficult for groups to play through event chains, with events that scale better when larger groups of players show up than the rest of the game, rather than the old versions that fell apart when more than a group or so of players showed up.

Thus the continual updates this year to make the creatures in Orr have more varied skills, the swap over to the new event scaling system that creates veterans/champions as content scales up, and the updates to Southsun to have more playable content. The one thing that’s really missing is the rewards to help make playing in these locations more even exciting and rewarding than they are now.

We want champions to be more rewarding, so places like Orr/Southsun where events can scale up to create champions become one of the more fun and rewarding places in the game to play, since events there can be champion on demand generators to an extent. We’d also like to tie in additional unique rewards to the temple chains, to make those more worthwhile and differentiate them from the giant boss encounters (which we’ll also be upgrading to be more exciting) to give a reason to do each in a day. We’d also like to add more value and use to blue/green items, so things like killing vets feels more rewarding when those type of items drop when doing those events in Orr as well.

Hi Colin, are there any future changes planned for Southsun Cove? Its a bit sad to see it happen(again?) but the area is just as it was before “Secrets of Southsun” but now half of the waypoints are contested and going through Driftglass Springs means death because nobody is going there to do these events.

I loved the whole idea of a Meta Event there but think its the wrong type of event. It would seem more attractive for it to start with one event then move to the next and the next etc. Similar to that of The Lost Shores even chain because its progressive and won’t have players running back to other camps trying to re-take them over and over.

I’d like to see some different color variation for this item to suit different dyes in game.

It’s because when the salvage bug was fixed you can now salvage ectos from level 68+ whites.

Don’t bother reading, I just needed somewhere to collect my feelings and vent.

I started playing the game when it came out last August and I had alot of fun leveling my Ranger to level 80 with 100% world completion in and around the Halloween content which was really nice. After that came The Lost Shores Event and I was very sad I missed it to it been a 1 time exclusive event and I had the connection issue so I quit playing and got addicted to DayZ mod for Arma 2.

Then came Christmas day and I got very depressed as I do every year because everyone elses life seems so great but I sit on my computer all day doing nothing but mashing buttons which helps because it takes my mind off things like me having a low life expectancy for medical reasons. I also lost my best friend to medical reasons around Christmas time in 2008 so it made me put my own life into perspective living with CF.

Anyway, back to that Christmas(The same thing happened to me the year before and I was talking with a close friend I made from US and he was always suggesting that I should try out Skyrim and so since it was on sale that same Christmas Eve I decided to try it out and leaving it download overnight I woke up early the next morning and got glued to it, I loved it. It completely took my mind off all dark taught for months after with hundreds of hours of playtime. I was always worried to say it but I think Skyrim saved my life.) I wasn’t looking forward to it but what did keep me upbeat and excited was the Skyrim Dragonborn DLC for PC because I assumed they would surely release it for Christmas but they didn’t and then I just emotionally sank with the disappointment of not being able to start a new character with new content to keep my mind as ease. I tired out many other games that day and noting seemed to give me that spark I was looking for…then I saw Guild Wars 2 so I let it download the updates as I read about all the ‘Wintersday’ updates in the launcher, logged in and spawned in an absolutely beautiful city of Lions Arch covered in snow and decorations with such beautiful Christmas themed music. I did some of the events and activities and I even got presents from an Asura named Toymaker Tixx, it was like the Christmas I never had and I loved it. I got hooked to the game and found so much more content that I didn’t see before. It really helped get my mind off stuff that worried me similar to what Skyrim did the year before. Yeah, I know its pathetic that I feel I need video games for function but really all it is, is just something to keep my mind busy.

But today is my Birthday and as much as I don’t want to think about it and forget what age I am so it won’t worry me its hard, its not like I can tell people I don’t want to have an age because they’d think I was crazy. It’s just me, I don’t want to have a countdown timer to my life expectancy. Last week I lost my dog and that made me really sad but I think I was able to prepare for that by comforting her as I felt it coming since she was very sick for the weeks before hand.

A few hours ago I had a very awkward and humiliating encounter in game when someone probably a ‘guild-y’ typed /deaths in /say chat as if to tell people to use it and I saw everyone typing how many they had node exceeding a thousand. Then I did mine, it was 2878 and I stupidly typed that into /say chat. The player that encouraged everyone, to use it must of been very surprised I guess but then saw that I was a Ranger and typed something like ‘oh that explains it…Ranger’ not even taking into consideration my playtime, achievements points, bugged deaths and silly on purpose deaths. I’m not even that bad of a player, I regularly do fractals level 38 and Arah Explore and only die when its a group wipe which might be 0-3 times depending on the group which will average to 1 death per hour.

And now its come to this, a character that I put 8+ months into and felling utterly useless about it and thinking the time spent on it means nothing to me anymore. Maybe 2879 will be my last.

I was really looking forward to paying €10 for the sickle but not so much for a copy and paste animation from mining picks. Sorry Anet.

I haven’t seen any available on the Trade Post and I taught it was a bit odd that there wasn’t any.

I could suggest Water+Dust+Karka Shell+Passion Fruit would be a reasonable recipe to have something to use them all on.

I was just curios to know if this is true and if so will it be possible to increase it multiple times e.g 500, 750, 1000… etc. Is it limited to just collectables or will it be for everything that’s stackable on your account and how many gems it will cost?

I don’t think the Ancient Karka Shell itself will decrease in price but what is for certain is that the Karka Shells needed to buy it certainly will drop in price as they have a much higher spawn rate and with that more people are looting them. They’ve gone from ~6s to ~3s and its been less then a day since the update.

I taught this update would add more events to attract more players to Southsun Cove but I’ve only noticed 1 or 2 more, then again I’m not sure if this was the purpose of the event. I know its great to everyone running around now getting their achievements done but after this Story is finished with it will go back to the same deserted way it always was which is a massive let down.

What I would like to see are some events where hoards of Karka, Wind Riders and reef Drakes start attacking camps and settlements. I’d also like to see a huge permanent meta event similar to that of The Lost Shores but not as unique and rewarding but will provide a similar experience to those that missed The Lost Shores one time event. Perhaps an event that leads up to killing the Champion Karka(could be changed to Legendary for event) at the top of the hive and once it is defeated give the player a daily chest with guaranteed rare or better and Grand/Dragon/Temple type Chest. This event should be repeatable event after The Secrets of Southsun is over.
