Experienced quite a lot of crashed lately here too. I also Alt Tab a lot
I’m also interested to join, I don’t really care if the guild is NA or EU I’m up at different hours all the time. Really interested in this since I love dungeons and I can hardly do em anymore because of Fractals
Actually you should care, unless you don’t mind transferring to NA server.
I don’t mind transferring for a week or two and such. Besides aren’t they supposed to activate the guesting thing shortly?
ANet, why did you change the position of the merchant near the bank in LA?
Did you do it for a meaning or you just like to see the world burn?
Come on you can’t put a merchant and keep it there for months and then change his position. He almost became my friend, after every single dungeon run, I would meet with him and do business near the stairs, and almost every time I would miss something and come back.
But this is not about walking 5 meters more, this is about destroying world order!
Would you like it if I were to come at your house and swap your fridge with your table around?

yeah was so “flustered” I forgot to “search it”
I’ve spend almost 2 hours guiding some newbies and finally got to him. But he refuses to hit the pillars even when we are positioned great.
Anyone has any feedback on this?
invite me up too, I’m from EU but I play at nights, haven’t touched FotM yet and I’m ready to learn
Please try and do the dungeon a couple more times before asking for a nerf.
I’ve ran CoE multiple times, now I only miss the heard piece.
Talk with your team about the crystals, if everyone can use a skill to port out, there’s not need to destroy them. If people can’t port out then decide before starting the fight to all target the crystals when they spawn.
Try to all stay close together:
-less time to destroy the crystals
-Alpha will concentrate the red circles in one spot making it easier to dodge.
Try and find your timing for the dodge. Ie, I don’t dodge out of the circle as soon as it appears, I pretty much count to 2 and dodge, which allows me to dodge the exact moment the skill should hit (always getting “evaded” msg)
Seriously it’s not a hard fight, it’s just long and annoying since you have to see his face multiple times a day and he has way too much hp.
Ah, and the armor set is lovely. The weapons are a bit meh because they’re the Mystic ones with a red skin (still love the pistols though)

I really love Fasalina.6571’s labyrinth idea. An instance randomizer similar to a Mystery Dungeon game would add some great replay value.
Yep, it’s like having a small dungeon crawler game inside a game!
Heck you could also connect it with the lore, say, make the dungeon to be the entrance to another dungeon like the underworld or something
What I’m waiting for is the new “great” dungeon that they are planning to put in that place.
They said it’s really big, with multiple levels, and foes get harder as you go in.
What I’d really like (but most likely it is impossible to get) is:
- divided by floors, going from 1 to say 100 (depends how big you want it to be, you can always add lvls later through a discovery or something)
- labyrinth style that encourages exploring with mini bosses and final floor main boss and “trash mobs” that don’t let you skip them. The main point here is you have to first find the boss “room” before you fight it
- improved loot, and here I’m not saying that all trash has to give exotics but at least they could have a good drop chance, not to mention that bosses should have even better loot tables
- “trash” mobs that go from normal (floor 1 to 10), to bronze (10 to 30), to silver (30 to 50) and so on also increasing the mobs stats and skills as you go further in.
- clear telegraphic attacks for the mosses and mini bosses
-traps, everyone loves traps, say the traps we get in the pirate jumping puzzle in Lion’s. I wouldn’t also mind traps that teleport you back 2 levels or such.
- dungeon scaling that can provide a great experience to people that would like to “solo” or duo it for the thrill.
- waypoints in dungeon that let you pay x silver/gold to get there, once you activate it once. (you have several possibilities here, I personally like the idea that all party members must have it activated or the party won’t be able to port there.)
- underwater parts ( I know most of the players hate underwater combat, and this is coming from a Thief main (thief uw combat is generally considered really bad))
I can’t think of anything else right now.
I wonder how much of that stuff is really implemented in it, I’d be happy if even half of it would be.

ANet made those changes. Around a month ago or two, it was possible to pull only one at a time using the wire without aggroing the others. When the CoF exploits started people started trying to exploit TA as well and when they changed TA a bit they also changed that part, making it nearly impossible to do. I’m not exaggerating when I say that when I run fwr fwr I pray that we make it.
Never the less it it doable. When i run it with my normal TA group we always make it, ad we also don’t have any “tanky” people in it.
Like someone above said, the chain pull works, but no always. As long as you have people that won’t quit after dying once or twice you’ll find your way to deal with those.
Tips:
If you have a thief and an Ele, all the others say waaay back so they don’t aggro the other knights. Have the Ele pull and immediately after use Static field on the other 3.
The thief pulls again and then focus on killing the pulled one, repeat.

Love it, I actually rushed it just before the movie ended, so our group ended up in the same place. We did it with a 4 man team. Loved it. Wish it was a bit longer though :P
I don’t know how they look like, but my guess is they look like the armors that Shiro and Nika used in GW1?
I’ve seen a lot of exotics in the TP with GW1 character’s names in them but since I can’t preview them in the TP I don’t know how they look like… (way too expensive)
Like a previous post stated as a thief, steal, shadowstep and even Infiltrator’s signet helps get out of the crystals, some of the other professions have teleporting skills too.
Best thing to do is either ask if team will break crystals or not, if they do then you are fine if they don’t, try to spec a bit more in vitality so you can take a few extra hits while in the cristal. (I always carry an extra set of armor with toughness and vitality, it doesn’t have to be exotic, greens will be fine)
Another useful thing I found was having a speed buff of sorts on at all times, as a thief I find Signet of Shadows quite useful for Alpha (almost never use it, just keep it for the passive) to get out of the AoEs in time without wasting too many dodges (even if I have the return endurance trait on anyway, but that’s because I still suck at dodging :P)
Another good thing is to keep the thralls and/or tendrils on low health without killing them so people that get downed can 2 hit them and rally, and as a bonus it’s actually faster to kill a tendril with two people than ressing someone from downed state
Added you in game, for the CoE runs. PM any time I’m on and I’ll jump in.
I’m also available for TA and CoF runs.
I just did that mission on my thief just now, lvl 80 with rares, just kite the lot, you don’t have to kill them all, all I did was killed the ones that spawned near the lumber and the few risen that spawn before the big pack, some veteran giants will spawn (you don’t have to kill those either) just lock the gates to the fort.
The problem is the DR system is just plain bugged…
Yesterday I ran two TA paths and timed them.
Forward Up – (already did it two days ago) – 35 minutes because one of the bosses reset – 60 tokens
Forward Forward (which I’ve absolutely never did before, since I got the message for doing it the first time, and completing the dungeon) 40 minutes – 45 tokens
If they don’t fix it, they could also put up a lockup on it, I don’t mind, I won’t be farming the same path 100 times a day anyway.
Make it so someone can do the same dungeon path only 2 times a day or something
Well I actually do know several games where they do, one of these would be Rapplez. But anyway as I admitted in the OP, it was my fault so it’s ok, but like you said, cashshop items shouldn’t be salvageable in the first place.
EDIT: I just hope they take notices of this and react
Arena Net should have some means to restore lost items to players.
A few weeks ago, after receiving a higher lever coat from a guildie, I proceeded to salvage all the other stuff that I had in my inventory, the thing is I was waiting to do a TA run so I was kind of in a hurry and by mistake (my mistake) I salvaged the cash shop krytan armor.
If you can’t find a way to restore lost items to players ( which would be quite strange since even gm’s of older games would be able to do it) could you please put up a message like “Are you sure you want to salvage this item” just like the one green and up items have.
I understand that the message isn’t there because that armor’s value is only blue, but still, one pays real money on it.
While I do admit that it was due to my own negligence that the chest piece got salvaged, not being able to have it back leaves me with an incomplete useless set. I can’t even give the pieces to someone since they are soul bound.
This being said, I won’t buy any other costumes from the store until you fix the issue, I can’t stay with the “fear” that I could make the same error again. 500 gems might not be much for someone but I can’t keep buying new skins just because I lost a piece.
I’m sorry that the end ended up like a QQ, I’m just a bit frustrated that after 2 weeks of talking with support (2 emails) nothing can be done.
So in order to avoid getting low rewards, you have to make sure you don’t finish a dungeon in under 30 minutes and you can only run a path a day? Which means you can only run a dungeon 3 times per day (3 paths)?
Where did you get that?
I’m trying to deduce stuff from the Op’s post. He said that a nerf will occur if you run a dungeon in under 30 minutes and if you take the same path (not dungeon) more than 2 times. So what I understand is that if you keep the runs over 30 minutes and only run the same path only 2 times, you’ll still get the rewards. Which basically means you can run all dungeons 6 times each in a day.
But I might be wrong though.2 times in a row.
Aha! So, what’s the problem then? People can just run the same two dungeons alternating them. Sure you won’t be able to run it in 10 mins anymore, which as I see it it shouldn’t have happened anyway (which makes me a bit mad, because people already got their sets the easy way while others have to grind the whole thing,… same thing happened with the karma weapons, people that only got 3 or 4 didn’t get banned and got to keep the stuff bought for almost 0 karma while others have to farm the whole amount to get them now)

I also noticed that CM is a lot more easier that AC.
To be honest I don’t mind the difficulty of the dungeons right now (consider I’ve only done AC and CM for now)
What I find difficult are the general drops you get from the chests (I have only seen one decent green drop in over 10 runs the rest being blue stuff and not even one gold). But I can bare with lame drops because I always considered myself unlucky at drops in any game I played so far.
The thing that is most frustrating to me is the amount of tokens you need for the weapons. I’m a thief and seriously 300 tokens for a dagger or a pistol is too much, just too much.
I like to go D/D in PvE and P/P in WvW that would take 1200 tokens, which means 48 dungeon runs, that’s just too much. And that’s just for one dungeon and only to get the weapons, i won’t even start with tokens needed for armor and other weapons….
I think dual wielding weapons need to cost a bit less than say, 2H Weapons. It’s ridiculous that the prices stay the same. If I roll a warrior and play Geartsword and Longbow I’ll only need to run the dungeon 24 times, that’s just not nice.
I say make 1Handed weapons (and shields) half the current price (“thinks about other classes here as well” since Thief is not the only class that can dual wield).
People that use 2H weapons might not like this, but I think it’s just common sense.
