Great fights this week. Grats to Blackgate once again and SOR you guys are always a hell of a fight. Also super fun to see TC out here swinging at us both. Had some amazing fights and looking forward to seeing you guys this next week as well.

No offense sor, but you lost, again, for the 5th time, consecutive, in a row, back to back.

T2 NA Blackgate has pretty large holes in NA prime time coverage that means virtually no Qs on any map. if there is its like 5 mins. Im not saying that there arent other servers that may not need you but Blackgate offers the following:
1: Blackgate Alliance consisting of I think over 30 guilds ATM. some big some small
2: 1000 person Blackgate Mumble for you and your troops to coordinate
3. Very comprehensive map coverage for oceanic and EU times, which means what you guys can take in NA prime we can hold when your off.
4. Super fun community where all players in WVW are encouraged to have fun and make points,, whether its a 5 man camp team or a 50 man zerg for SM.
5 Server leadership that is top notch and will help in whatever way possible.
6. Top T2 placement and could potentially be T1 with in weeks with the right coverage.
7. And this is a biggie…. pugs or smaller groups that will follow direction in maps and help out a lot.They never cease to amaze me, our pugs are a HUGE part of our backbone in BG.

So in all thats what BG offers, again not to say that other server may not need you, thats just me makin my bid..lol. If you do make it to Blackgate make sure to contact an officer in the large PVP guilds so you can be brought up to speed right away. They are Urge,LOTD,EA,FA,HB,KnT, and yes……Icoa. hopefully one of them sees this post. Regardless good luck to you guys wherever you may land. If not BG i will make a case for IOJ, they are in our bracket now and do really need better coverage for NA primetime. However I am not oficially sponsoring going there because they are as of right now little red names on a map preventing us from ruling the world! JK great fights this week IOJ and SOR.

Just wanted to point out that all score updates reflect our 3 servers coverages regardless of anything else, BG strongest overall coverage, but WOW, IOJ oceanics tear it up and NA primetime SOR tears it up. there are holes in each server and I being from BG know when our time is weakest and in our 2nd week fighting vs each other you other servers know it too. If you dont you havent been paying attention. Hats off to all of you on all 3 servers I know here at BG we worked our kitten off Monday morning until now to try and claw back in this thing. Super fun and super close, this is competitive wvwvw at its finest. I got zero bad things to say, all you guys rock and it has been a great week minus a few bumps.

Sorry smokee I should have posted the time frames in which i was talking about, most of the original BG guilds that had a high population from launch, like BBB,NULL, my guild PC even Urge and Knt said they arent seeing quite as many people loggin in or doing wvw as opposed to when the game launched. obviously losing RQ sucked as well. No excuses i just talked to a few officers in these guilds that have well over 300 -400 accounts in their ranks and in general the consensus was the same, playing time in general is down along with wvw time. its not a comparison I was making that happened in the last 3 weeks. I should have explained that. I didnt really talk to Thai alliance at all so them i dont know, and i know those guys are on pretty late into the AM server time. Theres no way for me to prove to that people are playing less time so that’s why i just asked around and was simply reporting what i found. We know that theres gaps in coverage for WVW for sure on BG just need more peeps to play wvw.

I replied earlier in this post about server players numbers being down from launch, so I took a straw pole of the top 10 guilds on BG by population and every single one of them said the same thing. Log ins by active members has decreased anywhere from 20-40% in their player base.

So what that means is people still have their toons on the server hence being “FULL”.. but they are not logging in any more to play the game. Sorry it took me a while to compile these numbers from high pop guilds. SO at least for BG theres a bit of our answer as to what da F is going on…. 20-40% ish are not loggin on any more. Kinda sucks but hey we will be back im sure.. good fights this week had fun.

I read this and had to laugh a little. Arena is by far the worst PVE developer I have seen in any MMO. Only played a few to their credit, but they don’t ever get it right and when they do, all they accomplish is breaking something else. Don’t expect it fixed, just play wvwvw like the rest of us and accept the PVE side of this game for what it is…. a total roll of the dice that feels more like a kick in the nuts.

I think we may have got off topic here a bit, I don’t think the guys trying to say anything about the difficulty of any of the dungeons…. But they are 100% beyond a shodow of a doubt unbalanced. There is no reason why my 6 year old daughter should be able to auto attack/afk a boss fight in one instance and in the next, I a 10 year MMO veteran has to corpse run back just to pass an event….lol that my friends is seriously kitten tuning…pure and simple. And yes my 6 year old can seriously auto attack afk a few of the dungeon bosses in this game… I would suppose if arena net would just come out and say that instance A is easier than instance B that would explain stuff a bit. Buuuuut they don’t and the haven’t, so it leaves a lot of people scratching their heads like WTF mate?

I hope to god that this is a friggin joke, because if it is not, and this is the real deal, then you may as well shelf your rangerand play the new FAIRY class… its the one thats pink and uses only wands and dresses in tutu’s… and ALSO hits harder than a ranger.. still…

I think also that the game is just flat out losing players on all servers, hence why there’s just no people on Blackgate that are on to play Wvw.

I just want ot fixed, that is all, it seems very hard for arena net to deliver on this game, there are soooo many issues that players have to deal with, but this one for me is seriously getting me mad.

well all i know is that something needs to be done, its in a very poor state now.

can you guys even fix this or not? I am going to say probably not.

I have run almost every dungeon there is and a 100% FACT is that the NPC’s arena net puts in these dungeons are more of a pain in the butt than a help at all. So until you can get them to work CORRECTLY just take them the hell out. My gripe comes from 2 things with them.

1: They bug out! Not all the time but in EVERY SINGLE instance where you have an NPC a long for the ride, I have experienced them not working correctly. And hindering getting the final reward.. you know how pissed off that makes people.

2: NO I DONT WANT TO TALK TO YOU! Get rid of the friggin option to talk to the NPC once the story is going. The last thing I need when im focusing on trying to dodge a 1 shot ability from a boss, is a that blasted NPC green bar on my screen asking me to talk! it gets in the way of all your interaction buttons and your looting as well, just get rid of it!

I pray to the heavens above that some dev reads this… its annoying the living hell out of your players.

with that said and out of the way, I really enjoyed this week it was a ton of fun and very competitive, hope to see you guys again next week.

I am going to hate even putting my 2 cents in here because most people will trash talk. But I wanted to share the last 6 days of wvwvw in this battle. I understand there are no alliances between any of the 3 servers but there are facts that I have seen 1st hand that would tend to compliment otherwise:

1: BG attacks a JQ tower and SBI hits one of our towers on the oposite side of the map at the EXACT same time ( 3 different maps 4 different days about 5-6 times while i played this happened) we will just say it was really great timing by SBI all 6 times..?.?

2: BG borderland garrison getting attacked by both SBI and JQ again at the EXACT same time from both sides while passing up all supply keeps and towers outside the garrison that were also owned by BG.

3: 3 days straight Sun-Tues on 3 different maps for 8 hours i was on these maps and not 1 single time in 3 days did JQ and SBI EVER attack any castles, keeps, or any other important structure other than supply camps from each other. Only focus for both of your servers was Blackgate.

4: And finally this is what sold me on this notion, BG goes to siege a JQ castle 2 different maps for about 3 hours and SBI patrols LITERALLY come up behind BG at JQs gates and wipe us out. HERE’S the kicker, JQs gate was at 15%…… and after SBI wiped Blackgate out they turned around and walked away leaving a JQ keep with a 15% gate untouched…. i personally witnessed this 4 times in 1 day. ALl you had to do was cough and the gate goes down and the keeps basically yours, but you turned and walked away. No other battles mind you were on the map at all.. i mean ZEEERO.

I am not saying anything about a 2 vs 1 type situation but it is now apparent that when BG is on a map and is a threat,, there seems to be an understanding from both of your servers that BG is the target at all costs,and you dont attack the other server till BG is gone or no longer a threat.

Im totally cool with that now that we understand how your 2 servers work we can make arrangements and prepare for it for the next time, I really think it just caught BG off guard to really think that you 2 wont attack each other AT ALL if Blackgate is on the map and being a threat…. Dont get me wrong I know that once BG is off of a map or isnt a threat…. you guys beat the snot out of each other, but NEVER not 1 time in 5-6 days in 4 maps did you EVER go after each other if Blackgate was a threat. SO this isnt a gripe session, just understand that we know how its going to go from now on with you guys so I dont think it play out the same again.

Pretty much says it all in the title, from dungeons to dynamic events, there was so much potential for PVE in this game. But if its not a bugged NPC in a dungeon, its a dynamic event that does not work right. Or a skill point that is bugged, or a rune or sigil that isnt working correctly. Or dynamic events that WERE working now are not (Grenth on my server). Flat out guys I am truly sorry to say it but you are terrible at your PVE content……period.

Either way its not working and I am out 4.5 gold. Fix it A-net.

Well I submitted a bug report, not that it will do any good whatsoever. They never reply, never fix stuff correctly and when they do fix it, it breaks something else in game. So frustrated with Arena Net right now. Get it together guys, you made an awesome game but mechanics like this should have been done a LOOOOONG time ago. Like fixed after Beta!

Wow I can’t believe its still not working right, Jesus Arena Net come on man. I’m not going to rant about it but seriously??? After how long?chalk it up to yet ANOTHER bug in the game………seems to be a million of them. I want my 4.5 gold back i just spent in your auction house. Yeah that will happen..lol

Can anyone confirm this? I spent about 30 mins on mobs in orr with a buddy of mine and not once, on any mob ever, did i see the #4 ability to grant swiftness might and fury proc! Not 1 time in 30 minutes….. Is it working for anyone else?

Just tested this on a few lvl 80 daggers with different looks the only way they transmute is if NEITHER item has EVER been equipped, so I guess taking your gear with your good stats your wearing and making it look different is out the window for now. Basically you would have to buy a 2nd set of stat gear ……again…… not equip it and have a skin that you have never equipped to transmute it.

Still waiting for a DEVs response because I really don’t think they meant to do it this way. But I would like clarification

I am well aware of the change, I read the patch notes. I was trying to tell the community that even if you un equip the item from your character it still will not skin plus you will lose your item and transmutation stone!

Beware! I dont know if this is intended or not, just found out. If you are trying to skin a look from an item you have equipped on your character to an incoming item it will not work. Taking off the item you have on your character and trying to skin it will result in the complete loss of the item being skinned and the transmutation stone as well. Just had a buddy lose an orange chest piece he paid 300 tokens for!

I think what the patch was supposed to do was to have you skin any and all items before you equip either item… dont know if this is correct, any Dev feedback here would be nice,.

Because currently if its on you it wont skin at all and if you take it off you lose it INSTANTLY.

Respond please and fix ASAP, people are going to be losing orange gear left and right i see it coming.

Ok so the diminishing return system “slogan” is being used here a ton. And I just want to know 1 thing…… ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO GET 60 TOKENS FOR COMPLETING THE 1ST PATH IN A DUNGEON TIMES 3 PATHS? OR NOT? That’s what you all said Robert was going to happen and its clearly not. Please don’t tell me its the DS here, just answer me YES or NO??? Straight forward questions deserve straight forward answers please.

I didnt read all these posts but I would like to maybe just see some more VARIETY in wvwvw gear, not just the 1 look and not just the same stats on all the pieces, they made sets for pve look different and have different base stats, why cant they do the same for wvwvw?

This is not a post to bash the dungeons and before i go any further I want the community to know that I am a pretty accomplished PVE dungeon runner with all my exotics that runs in a structured group with voice IP comm systems.

With that said there are a ton of issues with the dungeons right now and what I am looking for is for some of you to post your thoughts on what Arena Net could do to improve them for enjoyment of the game. So ill just list the issues in PVE and you all can give positive feedback on how you would like to see it different.

1. Over tuned encounters (in all honesty there are some dungeon events that are way over tuned).
2. Under tuned encounters (there are many in the dungeons right now)
3. Bugged quest lines in dungeons and terrible NPC issues such as not following you or disapearing
4. What is up with Melee? I feel so bad for those guys, you cant hit a boss in this game in ANY explore mode dungeon from a melee perspective. If you do your pretty much dead.
5. Time vs reward factor (Even I have to admit it becomes a grind and money sink to do the dungeons and the rewards are ok at best)
6. Community PVE awareness and support ie: (tell us whats going on with the dungeons and what your fixing or buffing so that we can adjust to it, because cold patches where you get your face rolled to an encounter that was on farm the previous day is a quite dis- heartening.)

Im sure the community can list more that i havent thought of but im looking for input on what we can tell A-Net to help out with these issues because yes right now PVE is drastically not good. They made a superb high graphic quality game and the PVP I think is about the best time I have had in a MMO ever. This is really the only area where they are struggling and I feel are really making their player base fell uneasy.

Please post some solutions to PVE problems not just a string of problems… and yes i will post my input on how I think it could be better after you all leave some of your thoughts.

The thing is they should have tested it , tuned it, tried it on a test server, let the community know about it so it could have been done effectively. But sadly if you like PVE content for end game, lets all be completely honest here… this game is 100% not it. Go do WvWvW which is where the real fun is at. Unless they fix PVE in general.. not just COF, there will be a lot of people departing this game very quickly.. I day within the next week. Just a guess.

When you have tons and i do mean tons of bugged NPCs, over tuned or under tuned encounters, glitches, and issues with targeting and basic character control it tells me that you you didnt release a functional game. It looks beautiful but its awful for trying to be functional. That is base line stuff… and your competitors .. no names.. knock that part of the game out of the park.

I have a a Ranger as well and i have issues with all 3 of theses problems all the time. Its frustrating when f2 abilities dont go off, im either spamming the button or holding it down to make sure it goes off. Whatever the case it is not working right by any means. Same with targeting, Ill be smashing a mob and just turn my camera around to check for other mobs and BAM, all of a sudden im trying to auto attack a mob 500 miles away on the horizon. Or my other favorite is when your on your current target doing some kiting and then you’ll actually pick up another target like 90 degrees off to the left or right of your screeen and arrows are flying off your screen to somewhere unknown…lol

It is kind of funny, but it gets annoying. In a nutshell submit a ticket to have them fix:
1. “Tab targeting” stick on the target dont drop it randomly or move it to a diff mob.
2: Pets UI and how they behave is extremely terrible at this point. f2 should be on auto like any other ability maybe?
3 For the love of god shortbow skill “Quickshot” fix it! your tooltip says evasive shot can be used while retreating if the shot hits gains swiftness for 3 seconds…. Not evasive shot used while retreating and when you land your character actually stops moving for half a second to a second totally which defeats the purpose of your speedbuff and quickshot entirely!

Minor fixes to improve Major gameplay in my opinion. Great game BTW loving it a ton but annoyances get bigger the longer they go unchecked.
