Hello, first of all I would appreciate if mods kept this thread in this ‘elementalist’ section.
I recently decided to roll an elementalist and ever since I’ve fallen in love. I have created this guild for anyone else that enjoys the elementalist and plans on sticking with them through patches thick and thin. My goal is to have a guild full of elementalists where we can enjoy talking about builds and the like, whilst also rolling over people in wvw and pve events. So I just started my ele. Really fun which is why I play games. But I also want the best gear/loot. Anyways, I’m lvl 22 and was trying to get a fractal group in LA for the monthly, but everyone kicks me as soon as I join and they see I’m lvl 22. So now I’m thinking I’ll just get 100% map completion (at 20% right now) which should only take me this thanksgiving break. But then I still have to grind FoTM for hundreds of runs for each ascension piece with infusion.
By the time I get those pieces, It’ll probably be January because after this break I have finals so I’ll be only playing about an hour a day (which is still 7 hours a week). And by this time the new pieces will probably have already come out. And I heard that you’ll need prior ascension gear to do any of the new content that will be coming out.
People probably realized in a few months all the eoxitcs won’t mean squat so why pay so much extra for something that’s named when it provides no extra benefits besides skins.
Yes but I find that you only make a few silver by doing that. How can I make money if I have a decent amount of gold to invest with? I’ve tried mats but they’re so unpredictable but they’re the only way to make a big profit in little time.
There is also option 5 (smartest) – buy low, sell high. For someone who made billions of ISK in Eve Online just by market trading, getting gold is a cakewalk in this game. Once you get past the initial asset hurdle, you can just literally park yourself at the auction house and watch the coins roll in.
Grinding gold… the only gold you need to grind is the first gold piece, then trade your way to fame and fortune.
Why is it still based on RNG? Still no skill involved what so ever. I thought this patch was supposed to change that? I still hear stories of people that play a tremendous amount putting in hundreds of yellows/exotics only to have some guy who just started the game get a precursor on his first try. Thoughts?
I though they increased the chances for precursors in mystic forge? However none of the prices have gone down, they’re still steadily increasing. Consequently, shouldn’t prices of rares and exotics go down as well, along with their mats?
Hey, leveling my asura ele and I want to find some nice skins for daggers. Something that fits the theme of being one with the elements, kind of like avatar. Best so far that I can find are the fractal daggers since they have runic symbols on them.
Thanks a lot! But the t2 cultural weapons are just the verdant weapons. They’re not unique. And the t1 are ‘glyphic’ skin which you can get at lvl 1-15 zones or buy from tp for a few copper.
I know a few weeks back I found a guide saying exactly what to buy to max a craft but I can’t find it anymore. Anyone know of such a guide? I’m trying to powerlevel my alt after getting 100% on my warrior. About how many levels does maxing a craft get you and how much would it cost?
All soldier armor (primary power/ secondary vit and tough) with crests of the soldier (same as the armor). and Emerald trinkets with emerald jewels in them (power/tough/prec). My weapons are gs, sword and shield, hammer, rifle and longbow, all exotics with beserkers stats (power/prec/crit dmg). I still find myself squishy and the first to die in pvp and dungeons with 20/20/0/10/20.
Who knows op? They said they wouldn’t add gear grind but they did. So one minute they say it won’t affect map completion, the next minute they change their minds.
I play A LOT. Looking for a hardcore group of players that know dungeons well and is willing to speed run past the boring trash mobs. Also do wvw and spvp. Fully geared Warrior with 100% map completion, working on ele now.
So last week got 100% map completion and finished story on my warrior. Now he’s REALLY BORING. I just started an ele and was wondering if there’s any decent light armor? I’m going for a white color scheme (for air attunement) and the tier 3 is the only one that looks decent so far but that’s 120g and I still only have 1 piece of t3 on my warrior asura.
If ascended armor is truly better than exotics, then i’m done with this game. Just two weeks ago got 100% map completion and finished story, and 2 weeks before that got full exotic set after grinding the same boring dungeon over and over. I thought I could finally relax and wvwvw with the best gear. Guess not. Bye guys! Fun 3 months!
Bunker ele is really good. I was with my thief friend. He’s a thief, I’m a warrior, both fully geared in exotic. Somehow this ele trashed us at the jumping puzzle place in his borlderlands. I think he was dagger/dagger, but he was just tossing me left and right, and that rock shield let him soak up all our damage.
I doubt it. I’m holding off buying my tier 3 cultural. HOW CAN YOU DESIGN A RACES OWN CULTURAL ARMOR TO CLIP? I have the cultural shield t3 and the shoulders already, and they clip SO HARD. Very dissapointed, considering endgame is about looks and they can’t even get that wrong. I might just take a break for a few months and come back when hopefully the TONS of bugs are fixed.
How many jumping puzzles are there in each borderlands map? And I still find it dumb that they choose this skill set out of all of them to make as the invader’s version, makes no sense. They’re basically forcing me to do wvwvw for that set.
Also, even if you made 60 badges an hour (which is a very high rate probably impossible to get unless you spam arrow cart for an entire hour in zerg fights) it would still take 147 hours to get 2.5k badges.
Is it possible to get invader trinkets outside of pvp? (primary power/secondary vit&tough). They’re 400-500 badges EACH so for 5 of them you’d need 2.5k badges! Also, is there an upgrade component that you can put in them that is also soldier? (power/vit/tough?)
I really want the set because I also have soldier armor with soldier crests.
yea before the t3 weapons, i had the mystic ones which are blue versions of the inquest weapons. they were good, but just look bad on asura because they’re sooo small. Like you, I’m a fan of energy glowy weapons with a focus on lightning/electricity.
Wait what, I’m a lvl 80 warr fully geared with soldier armor (power/vit/tough) and I only have 21k hp and 2.8k amorr
is vit the priority stat on soldier gear? do you have 30 points into the vitality trait tree? do you have those “5% of X goes to vitality” runes, or any vitality runes for that matter?
just a few ways you can improve your vitality.
I thought I’d be well balanced just by using soldier gear I guess not. I go 30/20/20/0/0. The soldier gear is power primary/secondary vit&tough and then I have all beserker’s jewelry
Yea, asura got the short end of the stick. I don’t think they were completely done but Anet still released the game. Evidence: unifinished cultural weapons (tier 3 sword and spear) (tier 2 cultural is literally just the verdant plant weapons). And the animations (walking looks like a puppy duck, very awkward) and TONS OF CLIPPING with EVERYTHING
