Yet the Slave Driver can’t provide the sheer shinnanigans Alpha can. Crystal glitch for TOO MUCH dps, temporal curtain him while he’s in mid air, petrifying him while he’s in mid air, inexplicably starts to roam around after standing still.

I’ll take a stab at this.

Currently, people farm 48 for the highest possible chance of getting a weapon, assuming their reward level is also 48. Several have posted long ago that the chances of getting skins do increase every 10 levels (they were confirming that in the 60s and 70s weapon skins were frequent enough).

In addition, the skins are only available from lvl 20 reward and on. By having them be bought with pristine relics, which can be farmed at lvl 10, the weapon skin devalues. Not that we can sell them or anything, but in the eyes of someone like me who’s been farming lvl 40s since March, and 48 for the past month, I feel that each skin I receive from the RNG gods was well worth the task. Doing 25 lvl 10 dailies is cheap for something so rare. It’ll be a slap in the face to those that dedicate the 1-2 hours for lvl 48 dailies.

That’s the thing in this game, you don’t need anything additional as a zerker to do CoE, Arah, HotW, fractals, etc. Dodge, attacks with evade, aegis, reflecting/absorbing projectiles, LOSing, pulling, all those skills/tactics will still apply in any dungeon.

Universal trend of zerkers forced to start wearing PVT/Clerics/Knights, traiting to have more toughness/healing power/vit in order to complete dungeon content? Hardly, only the bad ones will. Don’t be surprised to still see a plethora of “zerker required” descriptions in lfg posts in all the dungeons.

Back on topic, it is going to suck a bit in places like CoE and what not. I’m already seeing it with CoE pugs, hearing comments like “can you make more money here than CoF” and what not. There will be a brutal period of worse pugs than usual, but like all PVE content, it’s all about muscle memory and knowing the script of a dungeon. It’ll smooth out eventually.

p3 is definitely a fun path, just long and has been inefficient for gold. However, new rewards system might help this one. I wouldn’t be surprised if this path receives gold in the 2-3g range, just because of time invested and moderate challenge involved i.e. gimicky parts, boss with mechanics you must respect.

Ugh I hope not. Not because I don’t like that system but because of all the whining that will generate. “why are you punishing us for being good/speedrun/…/whatever” and “this is forcing us to kill everything” among other things.

Well, good speed runners can master killing any boss efficiently. So, depending on type of system implementation, the money:time ratio could end up favoring killing extra bosses instead of skipping them.

Something like AC p3 (below is just pure speculation of course):

1 gold for completing path
20 silver for killing kholer, but I can imagine being killed easily under a min if in optimized group
20 silver for killing troll, similar but a bit longer, let’s just say 90 secs.

So around 2-3 mins extra you get 40 silver. Not bad honestly.

I’ve been doing this recipe on and/off in stints of 20 attempts over the past couple months after I finished my second legendary and decided to slowly go for a third.

This time around, the clover x 10 recipe has funded about 300g of the 442g (according to gw2legendary) needed for the GoF. I still have to finish off GoF, but overall, counting costs of ectos/coins, I’m about 250g profit should I decided to sell all my T6. If I’m keeping them, that’s 250g I’ve saved for the GoF this time around.

Of course you get batches of stupid leather, gossamer, and other losing results (I’m looking at you 10 putrid essense batch grr). However, for me, the recipe has turned into a solid investment.

I also think it helps to do the 10 instead of the 1 recipe. Doing lots of singles gives a greater chance for the mystic clover % success to average out. We don’t want that!

You can also save yourself some scratch by not buying the cultural armour. Cultural armour is little better than stock gear for that level, the primary reason you’d buy it is for the skin.

But if you’re hard up for cash, buying vanity gear is a no-no.

Then go do the sanctum sprint and you may or may not have your armor in a few hours

The more suggestions we keep posting, the more I feel the OP is either:
1) trolling us and knows perfectly well how to make money
2) expects to get money with little to no effort.

If it’s #2, OP, please, save us time and do some of the suggestions and report back after you invest the 2-3 hours it takes at your level to make the ~2g for T1.

One thing you can do is check your guild mates. See if anyone has alts they are leveling. Also try asking in map chat when you go to a zone. Some of the people there are leveling alts and would like to hook up with another person to do it.

Gold is hard to get for most people. It’s unlikely they are going to give gold to some random person on a forum. A friend maybe but not a stranger asking for gold when they themselves had to go through the leveling period and scraping for every silver they got.

Even now, a market I thought would be extremely profitable just got bust. for a profit of 86 copper or so, I staggered my prices 1 by 1 lower from 1.90 silver to 1.80 silver. Then someone decides to sell 137 of the item for 95 copper. I give up. Back to CoF.

That’s when you, after considering it’s a item that moves rather quickly and the margin is greater than 15% between your sell and theirs, you buy up the undercutters supply and relist it at your higher price.

Anyway, been using clover x10 recipe A LOT and hoping for failures to fund this time around. So far I have:

Gift of Mastery, Gift of Entertainment, the Energizer, and about 75% done with T6 (no globs, been burning those with said recipe), and of course 137 clovers (>.<).

Still need to finish Fortune, Icy Runestones, and the stupid sigil. Then I can do mostly naked dances with a disco ball in LA.

I think what people are not realizing is that their PVT/Cleric/Knight gear is actually handicapping them. Here’s my reasoning. You can take an extra hit on some boss/mob, true, without question, heck maybe even two extra hits before thinking “I’m going to pop my heal”. However, are you really maximizing your personal ability when doing so? Isn’t that extra armor acting as a crutch at the expense of PREVENTING more boss/mob attacks by killing faster?

I personally faced this situation. My AH made the transition from mix of knight/soldier/zerker to full zero a few weeks ago. At first, I couldn’t believe how much faster I was dying. Instead of running back to the old gear, I thought “hmm… maybe it’s my skill level, and I wasn’t as good as I thought it was”. A few days later, I relearned how to play my guard (and other characters, they’ve also made the transition to full zerk). It’s worth the humbling moments of fail to realize that you can evolve into something better.

tldr: Asking for revamps are nice, but if you’ve been stuck in nonzerk build/gear, make the change and you’ll be surprised by how much more it’ll require out of your own ability.

Right, but what I’m saying is that one of my 80s went to the same node my other characters harvested successfully and was not able to harvest it. It showed up already harvested. Unless I sleepwalked and harvested that node in my sleep, I had not harvested that node within 24 hours prior with that particular character, hence the thread.

Let me try and be more clear.
I’m saying race-style record keeping isn’t really all that much of a community support system because the average player can’t do much with the information provided by it. That’s not a dig at OP’s performance, that’s a critique of the speedrun meta’s influence over the pug meta. There’s nothing inherently evil about tooting your own horn, but I just can’t agree with the altruistic spin I quoted because it seems to encourage that influence. Which I regard as a recipe for disaster, and OP regards as a trial-by-fire.

I disagree in that I find a speed run of a boss can be highly informative. Those that can burn lupi in X secs/mins in melee zerk mode for example clearly capitalize on knowledge of boss mechanics, attack animations/tells. True, there are those that will just see a video, look for the builds used, and imitate without thinking how it actually works (and mostly likely get burned themselves wondering wtf). But to those that do take the time to understand the whys and hows, I only see it helping their gameplay.

My advice would be to do the exact same on the New York stock exchange, make a nice profit, take your significant other out for diner and use the spare cash to buy gems. The rules are about the same, it’s just the pay-out that’s slightly different.

Mesmer mantra build is quite effective, actually. I play a guardian and ele as well but neither can keep up with how much healing my mantras do. 2k per cast and mantra of pain is almost always up.

Only problem is you have to be relatively close.

This. People can’t seem to understand this. If you had to choose between fighting Mossman @ 48 for 3-4 minutes (or faster), or for 7-8 minutes, which would you choose? If zerk meleeing is riskier, wouldn’t taking twice as long fighting a dangerous boss in nonzero gear/build be even more risky?

Started to do some ori ore farming on Blackgate, and the north most ori node in Frostgorge for some reason didn’t appear for one of my characters. It shows up as harvested even though I had not harvested it with her prior. I did harvest it just fine with a different character about 30 mins prior. And a third character harvested it fine around 30 mins after.

And no I didn’t harvest that node with that particular character previously.

Anyone else ever have this issue? It’s starting to really make me think that character is cursed i.e. worst loot among my friends consistently in farming fractal 48

Another reason to diversify and start small investing in different items is to test the market for them. You may notice some items change hands rather quickly i.e. crafting materials, low-lvl armors. Others you might move once or twice in a whole day. Figuring out the flow of goods can also determine whether that good’s pacing is worth it to you. Remember your time invested playing has to be factored in. Making 10 gold in one day is nice, but if you had to spend 5 hours doing that… well…

Just a quick note: I’m a recent convert to full-zerking, so I’m still upgrading pieces here and there to match the style (mainly needing to replace all my ruby orbs with scholar and appropriate sigils). Everyone is at least full exotic. Only my guard and warrior have full ascended trinkets

Experience: Some. Done all paths more than once, but never really farmed hardcore any path. I’m starting to do p3 more whenever my friends are available. No experience in meleeing Lupi, which is one of the things I want to learn from grouping with vets.

Time: After 6pm PST usually I’m good to commit about 2-3 hours any day.

Other: I guess I love efficiency more than anything. Skipping trash when possible, going full melee zerk to kill bosses faster, things like that. Also, more than willing to learn mechanics that I wasn’t aware of previously, or take direction if I’m failing.

I been STRUGGLING just to find people to complete story HotW, let alone do explorer. Please add me!
