Thanks i just think if engineers with hammers should have skills that keep you in control and easily close gaps with the enemy
Hmm i would go more with ele lighting hammer abilities
1:Skill chain
A1 Regular cleave
A2 Regular cleave
A3 AE 120 radius 1 stack of might 5 sec
2: Leap with Leap finisher 600 range 8 sec cd
3:Gravity smash 240 ae smash the ground immobilizing any enemies hit for 3 sec 15sec cd
4:Some kind of arc attack that pushes foes back 300 range 20 sec cd
5: Dive bomber 240 ae jump in midair (holding hammer in one hand boss style) and smash the ground enemies hit are launched into the air. Launch 400 600 range 35 sec cd
I could see a cd reduction in some traits if they allowed it and as for damage it should be a bit up there considering our low armor and some of the abilities might look a bit op in control but thats kinda what engineers are made for control
Hammer imo is the only two hander that would fit the engineer at all. It would bring about completely diff playstyles that could make gadgets really really useful for juggling people around. I just can’t see maces being so good we have toolkit pretty much a mace I don’t want a second mace.

As for the Bomb buff I have been able to get it to heal for about 300 per bomb with the 50% increase thats what like 450? Do elixer infused bombs benefit from hgh at all ?
Modified ammunition may actually be amazing for static discharge builds now I can see a pretty nice damage boost with it.

Engineers need hammers with decent abilities then ill be happy. Screw turrets they are a lost cause, but anet just cant seem to see that they need to focus on ditching them and just give us a melee weapon since most build we have are literally melee. This is my only upset right now.
how about a revenant or w/e its called as a third heavy kinda a heavy necro style with great weapons no weapons swaps but uses diff curses that apply diff condis or abilities and work like toolbelt or ele attunement skills ?
1: A new high lvl dungeon with actual hard mechanics such as tequatl style fights
2: Class tier sets with completely new runes only on those armor pieces also new looks
3: Older weapon types to other classes (Engineer hammer) obviously should have been in the game at launch no idea why it wasn’t.
4:Cavalier armor or armor vendor for laurels that allow you to obtain a single piece of gear at a time that allows you to choose the stats that you want no runes included
5:New sigils such as chance on crit to gain fury/vigor etc. or steady sigils like 10% crit damage or such.
6: I am going to add a 6th make legendaries that have been equipped act like account bound skin sets where you can withdraw them and use them on other toons without having to farm another quip/twilight etc.. all over again.

As you can see my skills are insane I spend many nights practicing my skills here is just a taste of pure skill my friends highly detailed charr thief.
Mortar could be so good they really need to buff this thing to hell 2k range base and it should be hitting for like 4k a shot and allowed to crit i mean come on its a freaking mortar on fleshies
Im loving the new damage but they should have left it auto target with the same effect like a homing missile so far ive had it crit about 13k not to shabby
As an engineer I figured out if you stand still and let them come to you its easiest literally don’t move unless its a backwards dodge to throw them off i also play static discharge build with perma vigor up i just dodge use stun breaker,overcharged shot,analyze,surprise shot,net shot when i see them lay down that smoke field and heart seeker in a direction i use my leap to that area because of the huge area it effects now it will normally crit them for around 6-9k if the sd doesn’t kill them first
This may sound stupid, but I know we have all tried a low level al in wvw at one point or another only to get destroyed most times. I think if they make a pvp style vendor for wvw only like weapons sigils gear runes to help low scaled players actually have a decent chance of surviving and enjoying their wvw experience of course the gear will only effect you till lvl 80 and will only work in wvw just like how pvp armor and gear works in the mists.
Yes we should all use these exploits and never stop till anet decides to deal with them. If enough people use it for extended periods of time I am sure anet will take a look maby
I actually went sylvari because I love the look of armor on them and as a condi engi that take root is so op so many bleeds.

Ah the static discharge does not do much damage its more so for the bouncing crits the help apply bleed to the target and players around them. It also will throw off your opponent thinking your playing a burst static discharge build.
Well I am new to posting builds, but I have been messing around with a few. Now before people laugh at my idea I would like them to take a look at it and try it for themselves. It is currently a static discharge high bleed build with enough blast finishers to keep you alive if used correctly. At the moment this build suffers from being focused of course and very low mobility still working on it, but the rate that you can apply bleeds with static discharge and the combination of grenades and pistol skills is insane. I actually picked up the longbow on my 3rd run through I threw it in the tp for 50g and it sold a bit fast…I am thinking I shoulda have posted for more.

Not to hate on anets amazing team of artists, but as a gamer and a hardcore engineer I am starting to see a lack of outbursts of style in these last few months save the magitech armor set. No matter what skill you have at drawing be it traditional/digital or even painting I would like to see style imputs from the public. Mines Sylvari engineer named Kemicals has the appearance of a branded sylvari or closest i could get
I went 20 into explosives for the Might on heal while having medkit equipped, then down 20 into Alchemy for protection, boons, and vigor, and last 30 into tools. With this build you can keep a steady 12-15 stacks of might going in a fight with simple swapping to med kit ever 10 sec or so and sigil of battle in rifle. As for skills its medkit, bombkit, rocketboots, Rifle turret allowing for 3 blast finishers as well and some really hard hitting surpriseshots with sd, done right you can keep 25 stacks of might easy with rifle burst build. Also some control and mobility come into this build as well. Do not forget the might runes as well.
I would still take a hammer over some class fixes mainly im tired of my rifle being a melee weapon most of the times if i wanted to go melee why not just go full out instead of half and half ? besides there can be some crazy builds to come out of hammer maby hgh hammer? full gadgets?

Just wondering I know we are getting them decently soon and ill be glad to see them as soon as possible, but anyone have ideas or speculations on what abilities we will be given? I want to say it may act a lot like the Lightning hammer from ele’s, but thats just me I do hope it provides decent mobility as well as nice damage. Any other engineers already crafted an ascended hammer for when we gain access to these amazing weapons? Below is kind of what I was hoping for in terms of abilities.
H1: A1 simple smash
A2 Cleave attack
A3 Ground aoe radius 120 applies cripple 1 sec Burning (lightning bolt animation like ele hammer)
H2: Leap with blast finisher radius 180-240 either one decent burst
H3: Smash the ground with the hammer handle sends a current of lighting out striking 5 nearest enemies and granting might per target hit for 15 sec
H4: Lighting bolt strikes the hammer and hits enemies within a 240 radius (high burst aoe) Blast finisher as well
H5: Leap with aftershock effect damage on landing sends out a shock wave applying torment to up to 5 enemies hit by the shockwave 240 radius as well
These are just some of my ideas not sure about names or damage boon gains really just some mobility i would love to see with aoe melee damage. Maby a grandmaster trait allowing 1 sec of stability on crits with hammer with a 5 sec cd or something as well
Love auto chain and the explosive ability as well as the vulnerability stacker but i think that the number 2 needs to be a leap and 5 we should get that torment leap that scarlet has with the shockwave after it i like my mobility
I actually do run a p/p sd gadget build atm from what i have noticed its some really high burst and decent pistol damage i prefer p/p only because the dual sigils and the slight aoe per shot it takes care of pesky mesmer clones
