If you’re thinking “why Anvil Rock? That place sucks” well keep on reading.

So a while back AR was a strong WvW server fielding guilds such as
[ALS] ~ Anvils Last Stand
[TEO] ~ The Epsilon Order
[HoA] ~ Heart Of Anvil
[TFH] ~ The Fluttering Horde
[Zero] ~ Organization Zero
[CRFT] ~ Crafters
[TDME] ~ The Dungeon Masters Elite
[WAR] ~ Warlords of Anvil Rock
[WAR] ~ War/Merc
[KAOS/LPC] ~ Killing as Organized Sport / Lpc

But then we hit a brick wall, by the name of EBay /BP.
These two servers were two horn locked bulls while AR was a calf in the corner. We didn’t have a chance. But somewhere along the way we grew a spine, and we fought back, we began winning some weeks and even holding a strong second. But people got bored. People got lazy and left. AR was demoralized and destroyed. Anvil Rock dropped from tier 5 to 8 in no time. And that’s when we sat there. And sank. We did nothing. So people came and went, hell even I went and I’m AR to the bone. Upon my return I noticed a change in the AR community, they were happy and helpful and full of life. A lot of people had returned from retirement, but I was still a new face.
Now we have guilds old and new, rebuilding and restructuring. These are the guilds we have now.

This isn’t a recruitment message, this is a calling to all the old Anvil Rockers. I finished my adventure, so have you, Anvil Rock is returning to it’s former glory and It’s time for you to return home.

Another server that fell and then still got transfers….Love this game, love the people that play it….

Around 10 transfers dude, and that was my guild. And even since then we’ve done maybe 3 guild runs. And we came back after AR started doing good.

It all started when I was strolling through south camp in SoRBL. I came to a stop seeing it was ours so I proceeded to go to SE camp, that too was ours. So I went to NE camp… which was ours. I went to all of the camps… only 2 were yours. I saw 3 Mag roamers and 1 SoR AFK’er… guise srsly I’m lonely.

I enjoy reading the forums. This is oh so fun!

You obviously can’t use anything else if you don’t know how to play thief without D/P. I use D/D without regen or init regen or remov condi’s. I backstab for 13k and can win 1v3’s. please learn to play your class.

So… SoR, again. This’ll be fun.

So 20 man is a blob? Grow up, everything is a blob now, you see 15 guys, blob, 5 guys ganking 1, blob.
There was 35 IRON inside your garri waiting for you to come out and fight, and you still had to use 3 omegas + sup ac’s and the entire map zerg and yet you never fought… And btw, when choo arrived, IRON was running with 15. BLOB!!!

No need to be hostile, we’re talking about totally different situations, or you’re forgetting the fact of pugs. Sure there was only 35 [IRON] but there was atleast 10 [Choo] and atleast another 20 in pugs. Plus we didn’t have any siege set up… awks all we had was constant respawn and people hiding to keep the circle up, adding to the fact that SoR went up and put superiors up on the third floor…

Personally I’d go full exo rabid with some sort of rabid trinket, use P/S instead of P/P just because the shield blocks and blasts can help in a group situation. The nades are an easy tool, simply kite to a choke point (closed in area where you’re guaranteed to hit) or you can get as close as you can do it, but you shouldn’t really be running nades without Bomb kit on.

If I ever retire my thief I’m going straight for my engi. Man that thing is insanely brutal and I can 1v5 if needed. To me a thief and an engineer are similar. They both have the ability to 1v5+, they can both do mass amounts of damage very quickly and both of them can easily get out a sticky situation. I also have been playing my engineer alot in tPvP and sPvP and for some reason, switching between nades and bombs is just so much fun!

So lately, my guild and I have been attempting to do runs in ARBL, however we cannot seem to stay in it longer than 5 minutes before disconnecting, the same thing appears to be happening in EB.

caltrops, Shadow Refuge, Blinding powder.

Healing gives 4 initiative, stealing gives might, fury and swiftness for 10 seconds, drop caltrops when you roll

gain might on dodge

Regen health in stealth, Remove conditions every 3 seconds of stealth and whatever for the first one.

Corruption sig – geo and an orb (chrysocola)

and just stay stealthed and watch the 181’s roll out from caltrops.

You are so glass it isn’t even funny. I didn’t even know HP pools came that low.

Ages ago on my thief I was full GC and I had 9k health but I was dropping like 13k backstabs on full toughness warriors. It all depends how you build your Character. + the fact that he is playing a thief… they usually have about 10-13k health.

I play a full zerk DPS/Regen thief. I roam and I also do dungeons from time to time. This build allows me to play very aggressively but still have the same survivability as my healing guard. The one flaw I would say in this build is that there are so many choices in traits that it’s easy to make a bad mix and not enjoy yourself. I use D/P SB and I will usually just run into the side/back of a zerg take out 3-5 people and run off. Same with roaming in a group. The idea is that when I go into stealth I gain 2 more initiative and when I steal I gain stealth. I also regen about 349 per second in stealth and can hide in stealth for about 4 seconds. This allows me to regen and continue dropping 9k’s on unsuspecting zerglings.

Thieves are only OP if you let them be. Let them backstab you and you’ve put yourself in a sticky situation. However if you keep moving, doing attacks and know what you’re or what they’re doing it won’t matter if they have stealth.

Score update please? I have a 71 hour ban from our last opponents…

They both have balanced DPS and Cond. Neither thief nor warrior has better damage or better condition. The person playing may have a better playstyle or better personal setup. All classes are even in some way or another. Besides, can a thief hit 20k’s with a single shot? no. Can a warrior go invisible and hit 9k stealth and regen to full health, rinse repeat for an entire fight? no.

On my D/D burst build I can 1 v 1 anyone and win as long as I have not already been on cool down or they run back to a group. Honestly, using 10 in power is dumb. I use 0/30/30/10/0. When I have exhausted my stealth skills, I steal and stealth and just wait it out as I regen like 2k health whilst I’m stealthed. You don’t need advice or opinions or a new build. You need practice.

Let’s see how many pages of rages we can get =D

It sounds unlikley, but it was custom built from a shop that is run by foreign people.

I love a really annoying DPS guard, use a healing build and just hammer 2 the enemy and you’ll be allllll good hahaha
