What is going on with jade sea tonight?! Have you stolen the nightcrew from vizunah?
Let’s hope Hugh Norfolk stumbles upon a flying hacker, and realizes ever since release you’ve been able to jump into jerrifers slough and solo it.
thanks jade sea and vizunah for the fights tonight at sfr border, it was real pleasure fighting you there
Vizunah has done some really shady moves in the past we all know that. We are smart enough not assume it was the whole communities plan.
If you studied a little you’d realize not even SFR knows who YHW are, that the guild never has arisen in context of SFR untill now.
Stop the desperate attempt at bashing SFR on the forums. We don’t want this to happen, and since the game doesn’t allow kings to rule the servers to ban hackers themself we rely on arenanet to fix it and all we can do is report (which we have).
Now go have fun!
They can always be countered when playing with others. I’m pretty certain engineer can counter all types of stomp, probably thief too.
Yeah it sucks that happened. We got own proof of the YHW and I’m pretty sure he’s been reported to hell.
If we’re to beat Vizunah we want to do it fair, so I’m sorry this has happened, it damages all of us.
I hope you understand this isn’t Seafarer tactics, but just some trolls trying to give us a bad reputation
Proud moments for SFR
THIS IS GONNA BE FUN!!!
I’ve missed you vizunah!!!
The pet isn’t useless and has never been. If you’re actually a GOOD ranger you know how to handle your pet.
Very boring compared to the beta event. Disappointed on that note.
Guild Wars titles are about prestige. And I think so far there’s only very few actual titles worthy to show (Champion of the Gods, God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals) – and then WvW titles because they’re actually hard to get. All other titles are handed out with little effort required on your part. Even the sPvP titles that used to be hard when tournaments weren’t as accesible, are now just a few hours work.
It’s funny you complain about thief roaming when they’re possibly the worst class 1v1. They’re very good at sniping dollys but that’s about it.
Oh is it opposite day already?
So… you trying to say that you think thief is possibly the best 1v1 class?
Yes. Because if you’re not braindead you won’t ever lose 1vX as a thief because of stealth. On top of that they are a really good 1v1 class even without stealth.
Running away doesn’t make you a good 1v1 class either. I’ve duelled one thief in spvp that used mass shadowstep and he won against me engineer, but after a few rounds I learned his build and he didn’t stand a chance. I’ve met very good roaming thieves in WvW but I haven’t lost as engineer yet. If you want to defeat an engineer you have to apply constant pressure, and thieves cannot. Once they stealth they give engineer time to recover and use his shields in preparation for stealth attack. And once the engineer gets confusion in the thief cannot do anything.
Someone got ultimate dominator. You just have to work for it. Finally some achievements that are hard to get!

you have been able to jump into jerrifers without glitching or anything, just landing ontop of the gate. I’ve found reports 6 months old and still nothing happening. Or did they finally fix it this patch?
Hey guys, sorry for not mentioning location, yes im on EU servers.
Bismuth – yeah I know it’s kinda weak. Since 3 days before release and untill december all I did was dungeons, now I’m just tired of it. I came back to the game after they removed culling in WvW and fell in love with that.
And after they nerfed grenades it’s hard to keep up with warriors’ dps (yeah there a probably some crit rifle builds or something that can keep up, I’m just not motivated to try).
I need 633 Arah tokens for full set for my warrior, and since I’ve lost interest in pve but love the skin, I want to buy arah runs to complete my set (lazy!).
So if you have a good team that can 4man (or 5man and kick one by boss – whatever) and want to make some extra bucks, let’s work out a price.
Thanks for the fights in jade sea border today, some great fights around bay. If DEX have had more organized pugs with them it would have been way harder for us. Great threeway-battle in bay though.
This is how EB is going to be this matchup:
Elona attacks anza, our zerg shows up, they run. Then jade attacks ogre and run when we come. Then next morning we reset all your towers and keeps cuz you dont want to come out and fight.
Yeah, props to [irae], always fights (and fights well) even when outnumbered.
Wow credits to elona! Right after patch you came in guns blazing, put good pressure on us and finally broke through when we had commander in que. Well played! (not sarcastic), you organized groups and put pressure on our one zerg. That’s how you do it.
Blobbers complaining about blobbers, that’ll get us far.
Every day we play piken and elona they start looking more like vizunah. Lots of AC and lots of running.
Then spent time whining about sfr doing nightcapping when you spent whole daytime double teaming us to stand a chance against our pugs.
On the positive side; kudos to Elona for actually responding well to our nightcapping and putting out extra men to fight at night.
And kudos to Piken players for being so into duelling, it’s a pleasure taking time off from the battlefield for some 1v1.
And come on everyone. Stop complaining about blobbing. You only complain because when SFR plays the blobbing game they eat all other blobs. Maybe take some time out to organize and play in groups, develop your strategy instead of going on forums complaining. Force us out of blobbing by not blobbing yourself.
I’ve done this as 2 warriors, 1 guardian, 1 ranger and myself as Engineer. Only one had done it before and we made it through. It’s all about communication and patience. For once there’s actually something difficult in a guild wars 2 dungeon and people complain.
You’d get tokens WAY too fast, you’d only have to kill lupicus once in 4 paths then.
Short and to the point:
As a fairly new player, I am very dismayed that almost every dungeon path I’ve done so far, has had some seemingly mandatory player glitching or mob or boss skipping that is now the standard way to do them.
This is a combination of the design of the dungeons overall, and the risk/reward involved in getting through one.
Trash mobs are uber tough and hit like trucks, bosses are often snoozefests of repetitive action.
Random drops are generally worse than junk, so there’s no incentive to ‘clear’ anything.
The less you have to do to get to the chests/token rewards, the better, according to the players that have been taking me through them.
No one is in them for the dynamics of group play, or the good boss fights or challenge, or even to pray to the RNG gods for drops.
They’re chores that are apparently best ‘worked around’ and glitched, than done with care or and desire for legitimate completion.
Skipping foes has always been a guild wars tradition, I think it is fine that arenanet rewards players that looks for shortcuts. And yeah glitching is unfortunate, and some of the glitching is so obvious you’d think arenanet planted them (like skipping directly to lupicus in path 3).
What foes hit like trucks? My ranger has no problem surviving regular foes.
Agree on drops, people who love dungeons aren’t rewarded well enough.
You can find plenty of people who do arah because its far more challenging than the other dungeons (and then again not that challenging once you get used to it).
I loved grinding FoW in gw1 because you were actually rewarded with mats that were always in demand. Sure you get tokens here, but don’t think many have become rich after doing lots of dungeons.
With pugs you should be able to do it within 30 mins, helps if you’ve got someone to lead you the first few times.
Since one of the conversations you hear around Hoelbrak is between two male Norn talking, and one is concerned that if he fights with his wife, she might beat him up, the extent of sexual dimorphism seems somewhat ridiculous. They’re a different species, they’re not human, but the idea that men need that mass of muscle and women of the same species have at their most muscular and biggest, so much less, is incredibly inconsistent. If it’s a concern that a huge muscular man thinks it’s a real option that his wife would beat the crap out of him.
Yeah, because winning in fights is definitely defined by who has the biggest muscle mass. It’s definitely not about speed, tactics, or experience. Just strength.
Be careful touting evo-psych as if it was absolute truth. For one, “beauty standards” are neither objective nor universal, especially when it comes to different species.
Considering they’re heavily inspired by romanticized vikings, I don’t think I’d be far off comparing the two. Also if there’s different beauty standards, how do you know if norns consider each other to be pretty?!
And if you think that hetero women don’t care about looks, think again.
Never said otherwise.
Not to mention that it’s established that norn only go for people whom they consider equals. An untested, scrawny, helpless-acting woman-child isn’t going to cut it in the eyes of the hetero norn guys. They want someone who can drink them under the table and still shoot a minotaur at a hundred paces afterwards. :p
Confirms my point
Also, the “their game, their rules” angle is just irritating. Goodness forbid that women (or gays, or blacks, or other generally marginalized people) ask for better representation. Or that we have more options in general. Does “their game, their rules” apply to everything else that people voice concern, frustration or suggestions about, too?
Yeah it’s their rule. Sorry to say but norn females were “too pretty” in Guild Wars 1, if their prettiness lore is too much to handle you shouldn’t have bought the sequal. And you keep being a hypocrite, first you say I can’t use evolution theory to explain a phenotype, and then you say the problem with norn is they make an unfair representation of a real life thing. Your own argument is I can’t apply evolution because it’s fiction, and then you complain about something fictional.
Here’s a little real life concept for you who get way into pointless debates like this:
Natural Selection.“Natural selection” is a completely pointless argument in this context because these races and women are completely made up. Anet could have made them obese or have wolf heads or blue skin and it could be rationalized somehow in this fantasy setting. Many people just get tired of seeing the same old tired gender-based double standards regarding how women are “supposed” to look in RL and other media and feel that in a scenario where you have the opportunity to create a female image, you should have as much freedom to make that image be what you want (especially when it knocks down double standards).
These gender based standards are all in your head. Are Charrs also the medias way of portraying cats the way they should be? Are Sylvari really how plants should be?
If Arenanet wants to make Norn females pretty, they’re kitten going to do so. If I made a game I wouldn’t care at all what people saw in my lore, it’s my lore so you either enjoy it or not.
If anything you should be complaning about how little clothes light armor female human/norn have on. That’s silly.
And to those who think you can only make a pretty norn:

Here’s a little real life concept for you who get way into pointless debates like this:
Natural Selection.
Those who played Guild Wars 1 know Norns were hunters, and that they would rarely hunt with others unless they were worth hunting with. This goes with relationships too. We know ancestry and accomplishments matters a lot too.
Resulting from this cultural adaption you can easily visualize the selection process, in order for two norns to be interested in each other they’d have to find each other impressive. This means only the most impressive Norns breed because they were the ones getting approved for marriage. Ergo, the best norns continues their heritage, and that’s probably why you consider Norn females so pretty.
Then some of you argue that only the females are ‘forced to be pretty’. Again, simple biology folks. The goal of the male is to spread his seed. How does he find the superior partners? He looks.
Females? They have to make sure they get someone who will take care of them when they’re pregnant and vulnerable. This means we have different established values for each gender.
Then how come it doesn’t count for humans when it counts for these romanticized vikingsinsque hunters? Different cultures. Humans don’t share the same value with norns, and that’s why we have different outcomes.
Now the interesting part is that since they’ve lost a lot of their old hunting culture, we could expect to have less strict relationship, and they could probably lose their attributes, but that would probably not be until Guild Wars 3.
And yeah, I know this is probably not the intention behind norn females beauty, probably just because that’s what people want. But it’s pretty pointless complaining about it when it can actually be explained through reasoning. Arenanet offers us a world to play in, their rules their lore. If they want big beautiful humanoids they’re going to make them.
It would be nice if they inserted a 10 second time limit for you to be able to return the item. I’ve done the same mistake, and it can easily mean you’ve wasted 3 runs in a certain dungeon.
It would have been nice if it was placed elsewhere than Lion’s Arch. LA had just become a center for finding any dungeon group, I’m a huge fan of dungeoning and I would just enter the city and write “LFG any exp”. Now I spend most of the time in overflow and its noway as easy finding group for other dungeons than fractals.
I’m not into fractals itself, no real rewards and agony was a stupid idea in GW1 and it still is, but if people enjoy it, let ’em. Would have just been nice it if was outside LA.
