thats cuz you took 40 retal ticks, not cuz youre power based. an enemys retal strength depends on their power. not yours.

Yeah but with power You need to throw grenades on their heads all the time. With conditions You can throw one set of grenades, heal, and in the meantime some of those conditions are still ticking.

1-80 only WvW still a viable option?

Go Crown Pavilion, join champ train there. And You will get 3 lvls in 1 hours. That is something you wont get in WvW so fast.

Power will kill you in zerg vs zerg because of retaliation. I tried it on my engi and one barrage almost killed me.

People from T1-T4 will have differing views about WxP levels as compared to people from T5-T8 simply because zerging makes levels easier to obtain.

This. Exactly.Right.
Look on my server RoF, we fight against Gandara and underworld. The minute we move from our keep we are steamroled my other server just because they have double numbers. So it is very difficult to earn some Wxp.

Making golems tradable was a mistake.

They are adding a agramon style island. Its just that how do make the travel seamless in gw2.

1) we dont know what they are adding. Just that kraits will have some change.
2)soon, yes magical word we heard several months ago about many things.

@Jaytee it is simple. They added +1 point to default character numbers. So You cannot exploit it.
Every character You now have will receive 1 point because they started with 0 and now every character will start with 1.
Its one time gain of 1 point. And every new character wil lstart with 1 point instead of 0.
If there would ever be account bound WXp, you cannot exploit it too, because wxp level will be shared cross your characters and that why you wont get any point by creating new character.

IMO, go play a different game for a while. Take a break, let a few patches role in and then consider returning. The changes put into the game while you are away will likely make it feel renewed.

But we are talking about WvW. Not PvE and its patches. You think new mastery would prevent burnout?

And this is where Devon/anet teams and wvw players disagrees. Players want fixes to core stuff like parties. But we got more masteries.
I would not be against masteries, if those core elements would be fixed or updated (comander system). And its not like those bugs are recent. They are in game from beta.

@Slider Zero that /kick is not working. We tried it many times. But it is just not working.

I really dont know why should i be emabarassed for.
Night crew is doind exactly the same as Dzags in Primetime. Outnumber enemy a lot and take what is his.
Dzags does that every prime time with blob or 2 blobs on our borderland.

The real joke is that it is working in WvW. Somehow.

There are no new bg maps comming. There were forum post on " have fun with kraits, you may not have soon"
Treb mastery – really? I am waiting to Flame Ram mastery
Huge announcement – it will be for PvE, for WvW it may only ne some content, but majority of WvW players want to repair bugs or improve mechanics(commander). Queen in PvE cannot just say: hey towers in WvW will not have bugs anymore
Soon – does not really mean 6 months. If you are ordering something on eshop and they have delivery date: comming soon, will you wait 6 months? For new Video card maybe? Or will you take your money and buy something where you will know when you get it?

Correct me if I am wrong but:
on home borderland, attacking servers can have double numbers you have. I dont know correct numbers but if it is 50×50×50 it means that without waypoints you are screwed.
50 man can attack your hills and 50 man can attack bay. But you will have numbers to face only one enemy at the time. Currect situation is: few players got to second keep and with siege they try to slow attackers so main party can wipe first attackers and move to second keep.
At least this is what happened on our borderland yesterday, at sunday at saturday. And probably will happen again today.

Removing waypoints will make this not possible in time, thus defenders will be disadvantaged by game mechanics.

If you want to lvl quickly by doing PvE go Queens Pavillion OR do every 1-15 zone.
You can do 15 lvls in each zone pretty quickly on higher lvls. Much much faster than in WvW.
For example: taking tower will fill 1 maybe 1,5 bars of XP. But one heart in PvE will give you approx. 0,2 of whole bar. So you need to do few quests, do every dynamic quest while running in map and You will be on lvl 80 in 6 hours.

Starting an engineer...advice?

Well I play condi engi and I thnik it works just great. I use healing turret,grenades,toolkit and Thumper turret
Healing turret is a must when lvling, it has 2 water blasts with Thumper turret.
I found that grenades works best in PvE, i use mouse for movement, so i just point on me, rightclick, start throwing grenades and kite pve enemies. Toolkit is for defense as skill 4 in block.
And condi engi has only one disadvantage: static enemies like walls, crates etc are slower to kill, but not that slow with grenades.

Dear Arborstone, thanks for fun on your borderland at Briar today. We really enjoyed it. Too bad we could not stay. We had 2 reasons to go: 1) you got zerg to kill 7 man team, 2) Dzags were attacking our bl, took bay and were at garisson.
I hope we can repeat it someday, so please keep Bay unupgraded until we come back.

Hello,

many of EU players in lower tiers know Ring of Fire. We fought You many times, both winning or loosing.

We are looking for permanent players. We aren’t looking for server hoppers. We are looking for WvW players, for WvW guilds that will stay with us either we are winning or loosing.
Our rank is probably the best for small scale fights and also for some bigger fights sometimes. Only depends on enemies we get. With current matchups we cannot guarantie you that there wont be zergs and blob against us. But at least we have a chance we dont have them.

What can we offer?
- several smaller guilds that are working together
- few bigger guilds that helps those smaller ones
- dedicated players that keeps fighting even when bad matchup occures
- international players with different play times aka night crew
- some really great commanders
- players that are not affraid of battle

What do we want/need?
- permanent players, this is the problem why most of the servers loose ranks. Some guild come, fight for a few weeks and then leave. We will welcome every player who will fight with us even against 10 ranks higher servers. We will welcome everyone who plan to stick with us for.

I forgot, we dont care about points, we care about winning. We dont want to be T1 server, we just want to win everytime and we fight for it.

I will share my new experience with you guys.
RoF is currently rank 22. We fight Dzagonur rank 20 and Arborstone rank 23.
Last night we tried to do “small scale”.
Our guild with 7 active members capped Briar at Arborstone borderland. In 10 minutes there were: 25 Arborstones and 30 Dzagonurs fighting in front and also attacking wall/gate.
Yes, everyone have a different definition of zerging, but for me, this is zerging.

I am sorry for hijacking this thread too, but:
Agrios you think bad. Every server from low tiers is working hard. look at RoF, look at BT, even Arb got some really bad matchups but they still fight.

I am sorry to see RoS guilds leaving, It is always sad to see this happens. Good luck in future matchups and dont worry, even in lower tiers there is plenty of fun.

Current matchmaking system is about 3 months old. Anet clearly said that before changing or adjusting this system they need some data to collect.

Probably like they flipped our Hills yesterday. 2 Omegas and 6 alpha golems.
They breached into Hills in less than minute. Wp was crossed, but hills tag was not when they breached inner. And then they WP all those golems.

Why do people keep using vabbi as an example?

Vabbi is mostly dead wvw server. It simply does not have much of a wvw population, no matter who you match it against, it gets stomped and stomped hard.

Why merging? They still have fun in WvW. Only they dont have zergs. Yes FoW have now greater numbers, but there are some great small scale fights.

So they still have fun even when FoW outnumbers them in the night.

5 guardians is the best party for roam.
With staff they can make perma swiftness, and with perma retaliation, every thief attacking them will just die.

WvW are only zergs and blobs. Or GuildvsGuild.
Playing solo or in small party is not an option, because there will always be 20 man zerg ready for you.

At EU primetime RoF have a difficult time with defending to Drakkar blobs.

Well it is easy. RoF have stable population whole day.Blacktide is not really our competitior as they dont have numbers for that.
Drakkars have great numbers aka blob at weekend and during the week they dont have so many people.
So that is why at weekend Drakkars took a lot of points but now they are loosing them.
