week before: 4 vs 13, 7 vs 14, 12 vs 18, 15 vs 24,
week before: 1 vs 7, 6 vs 17, 11 vs 20, 14 vs 21, 13 vs 22
and so on
US is fine only few matchups are bad, but in EU almost every matchup is blowout. And thanks to national servers, like Drakkars, which dont have players during early hours but have legion during primetime, they are low in rating, are smaller servers stomped often.
Like Fort Ranik. They dont have people all day but every evening it looks like they will fill all borderlands.
And I forgot, what reward are you talking about?
Chance of a chance to drop precursor in one chest at the ond of 7-week cycle? Or 50 dragonite ore? Or will they give you ascended weapon for free?
Each of this you can have in PvE in 1 day not in 7 weeks. There wont be bigger reward than in PvE. Because then people will stop playing Living World but will go to WvW and Anet dont want that.
I dont care about rewards. This game is somehow fun for me. At least sometimes.
When league will be placed in, we on lower servers wont fight against zergs. So in EU Bronze league yes servers will be stomped by bigger ones. But those bigger ones(Dzag,FSR,RoF) dont have people to fill all 4 maps. So there will be place for “clever tactics” gameplay of small groups.
For RoF I hope times of massive blobs will end, at least most of the time, but small group like mine 5-10 man guild(depends on day) can take tower and not be wiped by 50 man blob swifnessrunning on the map.
But I thought about changing server too, but not to T1 but to T8 or T9, there are now 6 servers with low population and seems like they are having fun instead of blobing and pres 1111111111111111.
Commanders or guild leaders will have to choose: buff or keep/tower points?
Because You cannot have both. If Your zerg is running circles on capture points, 5-man team can steal a keep. And if that zerg will go to defend keep, other 5-man team can take buff.
Problem will be only on homeland borderland where there are 2 attackers zergs. Defenders dont have numbers to defend bay and hills at same time. You can have 5 arrow carts but against 50 man? So this time one zerg will be running circles around capture points and second one will be taking keeps/towers.
But at least defenders will have some points for defending second keep for some time.
Your not even on ROF server any more. I understand you went back to the german server and if you are still in ROF then non of us have seen you in wvw in a very long time..

He is on RoF. Yesterday when I wrote to Tyldor that we should start NPC commander to get everybody supplies, Tiggy replied in chat. And later i ran behind him, after taking of Cragtop.
And I am not enjoying this too. Yes FSR is only one rank up, but with FR 6 ranks up and gazilion more people we are being focused by them. Yes this is notmal in three way fight, but does not mean I have to enjoy it.
We fighted FR two weeks ago and I must say I did not enjoyed it as against Dzagonur and Gunanrs.

You know how often ascended rings drop from rank chests?
I´d imagine chances of getting ascended weapon will be even less.
Mostly i got only green. Some rares no exotic. Ascended? What is that?
Skill lag is not because attacking large structures. Its because large numbers of players are using their skills.
And You have graphical options for that.
Go people to low tier servers which fight high tier.
How much ore can get RoS or FSR against Aurora? Or FoW and Arb against Drakkars? Vabbi and WSR against Blacktide?
How often Fort Ranik capture keep against Riverside?
And on the other hand how often is there Risen Priest? Karka Queen? Various Temples? With limit on NPC so your zerg wont be steamroled by other zerg?
This is the true imbalance. But I thin there is no way how to solve this. It is not possible.
Because if WvW will give more rewards, PvE players will go to WvW for it and You all will whine about queues and PvE players.

Well, hopefully if your aredefending a tower/keep for hours, you have killed a ton of players, giving you a lot of bags. Now, will that be enough to cover the difference? I dunno. Also, if you are one of the people that either doesn’t tag a lot, or is doing something unrewarding (monetarily) like running supply…. yyyyyeah…
Defending does not mean killing players. They may just be wandering around your keep and you will be on walls on AC waiting for them. Now and then some guys or little group will come to punch gate but still you wont kill anyone. Or only a few.

We will build more siege in hills nextime. Too bad we left you over 1000 supplies there. Dunno how it happened. Maybe because there was nobody at our bl when Hills were first attacked, and then everybody starts porting in and just joining the fight. We hoped to save hills, and finally pushed first wave outside inner walls. But then second wave , I think it was Fury, came and took hills from us.
And no, this is not balanced fight, but is still fun.
This is a unique feature of GH and we are proud of it!
We are a bunch of undisciplined soldiers that do anything for a kill.
I know this kind of play. RoF commanders are keeping score of PuG players dead from falling damage of the cliff.
2) Completely redesign the maps. We need a map ( as a pure example) such as Fireheart Rise, or Lornar’s Pass to fight in. Lots of chokes, difficult to respond across the map to defend multiple objectives because of long winding paths ( especially with no waypoints). Multiple vertical levels of terrain so that a smaller force can get behind the lines, and it would be inefficient to respond to them as a blob as it will be very time consuming.
This would lead to: defenders will be split to several keeps/towers. 2 blobs of attackers will come to the map and easily take almost everything on the map because AoE cap wont allow proper choke points where 5 can hold 25.
Defenders are now in difficult position,because each of enemy servers can have same numbers as they. So while fighting one server, second blob took other keep.

today there was a very nice attack on our hills by Gunnars. We sieged lord room pretty heavily. Guys You know that the entrance is a small hall. If there is Ac build outside the lord room, is it possible to shoot inside that the full circle of ac aoe is at the left wall inside lord room? On screen i have ac on my position, but GH destroyed from the outside. How is this possible? I tried to resize window but still i was unable to shoot inside to this place.
How did you manage do this?

what is small scale for You? We fought Gandara several times and Gandara did not look as small scale. Because of their numbers and because of enemies are blobing too, so Gandara need to blob. You cant counter Blobaddons with 10-15 people.
If small scale you mean party of 5 or 10 people. Go anywhere rating 15+, but rather 20+ because nr.19 can be matched against Fort Ranick and 10-15 people cant counter them.
It is easy i think. Every server will get some RNG rating and servers will be divided between leagues based on those rng ratings.
Guys,come for a week to EU to RoF. We fight with “higher tier” servers for several week now.

Look at poor Ruinds of Surmia or Fissure of Woe or Dzagonur.
Lat week Fort Ranik stomped us with infinite numbers. Hell they outnumber us on every single map. This week they are stomped too.
I would rather fight several weeks with same enemy if the matchup will be even.
Please RNG god, give us enemies that dont outnumber us on every map all day.
Easy workaround is to go back to LA for 1 second, request kick, go back to WvW.

For us on lower tier servers stomped in matchup, it is almost imposible to collect so many badges. But You can get 30gold in PvE farming in one day.
And you only need gold. But try to get rich in WvW. Eben if you get badges, you will lack of gold.
I dont mind nerfing stealth, yes thiefs are really annoying. But my “killing thief” tactics involves go to water. Because those perma thiefs are dead in the second whe they enter water.
But with new map design, it wont be possible anymore.
Just like the Ascended back item is.
Dont forget plenty of Charged Quartz obtainable in WVW.
I am really glad that Anet went this way for WvW. Instead of pushing out meaningless abilities or delaying bug fixes, they excluded sPvP and WvW from this update.

Pushing out new stuff to gem store every 2 weeks is more important than fixing basic functionality of game.
Fixing bugs will not bring money to developers. New skins and finishers will.
There You have priorities. And this is why I give my hope to ESO because it will be p2p and You actually how some legal rights to demand bug fixing or repairing basic functionality.
Here people will always hear: you only payed once, you are playing for free, so get over it.
If You need to hold just 3 of 5, there will be 25 man guild holding them and pugs taking bay or hills..

Engineer grenades technically hit 5 players each, with 3 grenades per throw. So theoretically, one throw could hit up to 15 players if each grenade were to hit 5 separate enemies. That said, it also means, theoretically, an engineer could hit himself with 15 hits of retaliation in one throw. So I’m not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse.
Retaliation hit aprox 350-400 dmg. It is 5k dmg for one autoattack skill to yourself.
Grenades are slow, you can throw second ones while first batch is still in the air. So You can take 10k dmg in 2 seconds.
And dont start about barrage. 8 grenades,each can hit 5 targets. Its 14k dmg made by retaliation.

Emisarry is sometimes bugged. I needed to talk to holo Vorpp to take the communicator. Not the Vorpp with spiral over his head.
Ok,found a solution.
There are many Vorpps there in DR.
And YOu need to find one that will give You communicator. But that one with spiral up over his head was not him. At least for me.
Communicator gave me some holographic Vorpp.

I am just lvling my guard,but in WvW. I decided to go with him to Closing Ceremony. At finish I get that microphone. But I was sent to the world. Because I dont have map completation on my guard. I decided to relog to my engie. But I cannot access Closing Ceremony on my second character. This way I cannot get microphone on my other character which have map completation.

The point is: would you rather die as engi because of retaliation or will you just throw more grenades to apply new conditions because old ones were cleansed?
Engi can place a lot of different conditions almost instantly as aoe, its not like necro marks. It is more powerfull than epidemic because of aoe cap (epidemic→ 5 enemirs, grenades 3*5enemies).
Pure damage is good, but engi is not meant to be front line warrior. Best role for engi is in the back making pressure on enemies. Players looking on utility skills are not watching your warriors pushing in.
Well so You are just not right.
In CP, if You have some cone autoattack, like guard staff #1, You can level in incredible rate.
In WvW You will have more XP for caping tower/SM/keep but You wont do that so often like with Pyroxis and spawning mobs on him.
Rage quit – never rage quit. Even if pugs don’t listen to You and You got wiped. It does not look good and players will remember it.
using TS – talk, a lot, if You start using voice comm, and there is only one people with You there, talk to him. Ask him where he is, ask him if he would go scouting while you lead pugs.
If there are more people on TS, give them dicertions, like go left, go right, stack, push, back, to tower, to walls. You just need to keep talking so people will know what do you want.
Because i started to watch SG-1 again I will give 10 points to Silvercyclone theory.
Probably the best one here.
Please focus on bug fixing first. We need better grouping, repaired gates, krait/quaggans solved and then you should consider new maps.
