Take the Mordrem Stalkers who pez triple Death Blossoms on a minimal cooldown while still using shadowports in their rotation. Nevermind that it’s utterly irritating to have a completely invulnerable enemy for roughly 3 seconds at a time, but they also churn out high damage along with their HoT meatspongeness. When they scale to higher than Veteran and gain even more absurd damage/meat, I go back to questioning design decisions again.

Smokescales are even worse. They are invulneranle like 90% of the time. Their smoke cloud gives them evasion while it exists (while ranger’s smokescale just blindes one time enemies with it) and they keep rotating their smokescreen and assault (which also has like 3-4 second evade).

Fluffball is right, sword (in PvE) is a power weapon. In condi builds axe is just superior with its tasty bleed from splitblade and winter’s bite. Sword, on the other hand, can benefit to condi builds only with there serpent strike. And thats a fairly weak 2 stacks of 6s poison (ok, 11s in full viper with food) every 15s.

D) – The drops from the leather farm have a lower chance to give T6 leather than the drops from random white mantle mobs. This is key, because those drops are easy to get, any player can get them, in more than 1 map mind you. These drops, despite being easier for individual players to acquire and resulting in more T6 leather than the leather farm, haven’t managed to bring the price of T6 leather down, despite being in the game since LWS3E1 released last July.

I will laugh me behind off if Anet will “handle” this situation by nerfing T6 salvage rates from white mantle mobs. Then I will cry hard, of course, and question the sanity of humanity as a whole.

Fractal dailies – 15-20 gold in 30 minutes, but full ascended gear and agony resistance is a must.
Silverwastes farm is still good, i think it is the best one after ABML was killed. The trick is to have a level 50 character to open the bags and salvage T5 materials. So if you don’t have a free character slot thats not an option.
Doric centaur farm is a joke, totally not worth it. WM Cleric farm in Doric/Bloodstone fen is way better, but Silverwastes is less gamble and less boring, as for me.

(I’ve yet to even get a full set of exotics btw, so can’t really do anything too hardcore)

Don’t waste hardened leather for exotic craft. Better farm some gold and buy exotics (for zerk stats Zhed’s/Nika’s/Devona’s depending on armor type) from trading post. You can buy a full set for like 15-20 gold. Alternatively you can grind Verdant Brink a bit and buy an exotic set for airship parts (must have Itzel mastery to access the vendor).
Exotic craft is dead, save that hardened leather for insignias to craft ascended armor.

Thats because we don’t see lots of norn characters. Norn are the most poorly represented race ingame. Humans, sylvary, asura have a lot of characters involved into the story, with adequate amount of screen time and development. Norn had only two significant persons: Eir and Braham. And Eir is dead. It is a funny thing to think of, most of the races have some kind of major inner antagonist (Caudecus, Faolin, Kudu) while norn have just some random nameless icebrood/sons of Svanir. Charr are poorly represented aswell, but at least both Rythlok and Rox are alive, so we have a typical (Rythlok) and non-typical (Rox) charr representatives.

It seems the Devs created the Centaur Camp as fun content for groups (Guilds, zergs, etc.) and then the leather acquisition was attached to it. At least, that’s what I took out of the interview.

My guess that whole north-eastern part of the map was supposed to be some kind of grand meta-event with a world boss on top. But then livestory team #1 run out of time/resorses and someone came up with an idea: “Hey, lets just put lots of elite mobs there. And we can give them leather drops so players would shut up about high leather prices”

How to avoid crazy aggro as A/T SB Condition?

in Ranger

Posted by: Ider.1276

Ider.1276

Hi,

I’m fairly new to the game. And I need some advice on how to play my character better. I’m specced for A/T SB condition damage. And the issue I keep running into is that, in order to drop my big AOE damage abilities, I have to get into meele range and then get out. 70% of the time, that works fine. But if I draw aggro from one or two mobs, I get absolutely rekt in a matter of seconds. And I find it really embarrassing (in groups) to die over and over, and make people waste their time rezzing me again and agian. How can I better avoid this?

My second question is… what kind of rotations do people use to maximize their DPS on this build? The page on metabattle lists a rotation of like 20 items. Do people really use such elaborate rotations?? What I normally do is:

1) F2 with lynx (to let him take aggro)
2) Sharpening stone
3) Throw torch
4) Splitblade
5) Spam ricochet

Run into meele range

6) Bonfire
7) Flame Trap
8) Viper’s nest
9) Entangle
10) Roll back out of meele range and start over when timers refresh

I never even use my short bow, because I’m not sure how to work it in. And I know that’s costing me dps, since my spec rewards me for swapping weapons with bleeding damage.

What is the trick to really playing this class/spec well?? The damage I can do (even with my terrible rotation) is awesome. And I really enjoy the build. But, man I really suck… And I’d like to play better. Thanks.

First of all, try druid spec if you can. Glyphs of empowerment/alignment are not only a good dps boost, they also blind enemies with seed from verdant etching trait. Pets with hard CC are helpfull aswell, electric wyvern mostly. If you don’t have HoT content, consider pets with high toughness and let them land a few hits befor engaging combat yourself. You can try and replace druid with nature’s magic and use stone spirit for a bunch of protection on hard fights. Yeah, and move all the time, a lot of mobs have hard time with hitting moving targets,
So, about your rotation. I guess your build has skirmishing spec (if it does not, consider taking it). Quickdraw from it are bread and butter for all the rangers. The thing is, you are losing a lot of DPS by starting a fights with a torch. Start with shortbow, use its 2 skill, then switch to torch and use bonfire. Weapon swap will trigger quickdraw and you will be able to use bonfire second time in like 6 seconds. So the whole rotation is like
1) shortbow 2 (poison volley), weapon swap
2) bonfire
3) splitblade
4) throw torch
5) bonfire
6) autoatack and splitblade on cooldown untill throw torch is available
7) throw torch, weapon swap
8) poison volley
9) crippling shot (SB 4)
10) SB 2 on cooldown
11) use crippling shot when its ready, swap weapons.

So, basicly, what do you want: after weapon swap you use your strongest ability of that weapon (bonfire or poison volley). And you use throw torch and crippling shot as a timer to swap weapons. The moment these skills are off the cooldown you ude them and swap.
If you don’t like this kind of rotation, go for axe/torch+axe/torch build. Swap weapons on cooldown and use bonfire all the time.

Your opinion on GW2 after HoT (2017)

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Ider.1276

Ider.1276

I guess I’ll put it simply:

If you liked WoW, you’ll love HoT. If you disliked WoW, you’ll want to rethink the expansion.

I’m playing WoW for 6 years on semi-hardcore basis (even now) and I can tell you, that one only common thing HoT and WoW have are raids. WoW openworld is more like core Tiria: it is there just for leveling quests, mining ore and occasional daily quests. That is why i liked Silverwastes and HoT maps a lot, they feel living, complex, deep, with a lot of stuff hidden in unpredictable places. Sadly, after 2 months I ragequited from GW2 after trying to craft Nevermore and burning down nearly all my gold and materials without making even a precursor. The other one factor was that a lot of my friends also quit the game, because they bought the core 4 years ago and were offended that they don’t get even a discount for HoT, while new players got HoT and core game for the same price.
I have returned with LS3 ep1 and I loved most of the changes.
- Changes to fractals are great. They are challenging, fun, rewarding. Before HoT I tried to get into fractals, but that was an awfull experience, mostly because of 3-islands system and awfull party search. Now I’m on T4 fractals and enjoying them.
- Less grind in HoT (mastery grind, HoT materials, HoT currency) and more liquid gold income. Yeah, it took me 2 months, but I crafted that Nevermore (and Ad Infinitum 40 days later). While at the start I couldn’t even make a precursor in 2 months.
- Great story. I like how LS3 story goes. Even if Braham acts like an idiot. Lots of plot-twists, intersections with raid storyline. Hope there will be as well an intersection with fractal storyline (the one from Chaos and Nightmare).
- New content (a whole map! And a story chapter!) every 2 months. You can’t know how much I appreciate it if you were not playing WoW Warlord of Draenor (where for 2 years the only content for players was 1 (!) new map that was cut off the original expancion and 2 raids).

But there were things that I did not enjoy
- Economical problems (summed in 2 words “hardened leather”) and developers attitude to them. I will not talk about it cause there is a thread about it that is always on the front page.
- Profession balance. A year have passed, but still scrappers are, well, in the garbage pile. Along with revenant now.
- Dead masteries. Yeah, that anti-venom mastery is still useless. Much like the anti-chak one and 3 masteries to challange frog/exalted champions. And instead fixing these up we get even more dead masteries: counter-magic (used only in living story and 1-2 world bosses), thermal propulsion (works well only in Ember Bay, mostly useless in bitter frost) and Koda’s flame (used in 1 location of the world only to break frozen chests). The only one good mastery so far was spectral agony. Mostly because it can be used anywhere.
- And, the final one thing I disliked: Anet making panic-full-180-degree-turn after HoT release. People were complaining about HoT map navigation – instead of better waypoint system and better map interface 3 of LS3 maps are plain, simple and boring (and with almost no waypoints). People complained about meta on new maps – new maps have none meta at all, and events are repetative and dull as hell (Bitterfrost bonfires say hi). I would not object if it was a 50/50 split, but it looks like 2 dimensional non meta maps are a new “safe” trend. And I personally don’t think it should be so – we already have a dozen of core Tiria 2d non-metas. I still can’t forgive the squandered potential of that huge trees area in Bitterfrost. If it was given verticality it would be just so awesome.

Why Magi? (Druid Healer, PvE Question)

in Ranger

Posted by: Ider.1276

Ider.1276

As I read the forums (zealots vs magi), I almost decided to change my armor+trinkets to magi but then I read this post above. Reminded me of a good reason to reconsider as I am just a few trinkets away from having a full zealots druid for raid. It would be convenient to bring along druid not only in raid but also PVE or fractals.

It is a way better thing to have 2 separate sets of gear for healing and dpsing. Zerk power druid has the weakest dps in the game, like 1/3 of a zerk tempest. And zealot is even less viable cause all that sweet sweet crit damage from ferosity is gone. And the worst part of healing/dpsing in 1 set of gear is your runes (which give you a lot of damage or heal and expancive to be replaced every time you want to switch from healboting to damaging).
But it is not the reason why magi is more popular than zealot. Zealot is just expencive to craft, while magi insignias are 1-1,5 gold on TP and magi gear with monk runes is available from ascolonial catacombs.

Fun fact: today I leveluped my alt (elementalist) to lvl 80 and was going to get good exotic gear for her. So, I just sold 10 hardened leather that are needed only for 1 (!) insignia. And on that gold I bought myself lvl 80 exotic Zhed’s (zerk) coat and leggings. And if I was patient enough to place buy orders for this things i could buy like 3-4 lvl 80 zerk exotics with a price of 1 insignia. So exotic craft is basically dead now. Cheers.

This was a deficiency in the game from the beginning that is now corrected.

It was not a deficiency before HoT. I’ve crafted a full ascended armor then, I know what I’m talking. And I was a poor guy, who couldn’t afford buying it from TP. And still crafting exotic and ascended could easily be achieved just by playing the game, not farming. It is deficiency now, with recipe prices raised to the top and leather income cut down. So please don’t try to twist the facts.

… and BTW, that farm does give T6 leather, despite your claim it doesn’t. That’s just more distorted ‘truths’ from you. I love the subtle ways Anet put things to people. you’re all going to complain about the price and right in front of your face, Anet is telling you your complaints are no longer justified because there is a direct way for your to farm leather. You don’t really get it; Anet’s new approach isn’t to manipulate prices or recipes … it’s to provide you options to get what you need, through focused play. If that doesn’t suit you, then I’m sure they will further subtly lead you down the path of money/gems/gold/leather. Either way, they aren’t going to simply hand you over a princely sum of leather.

Yeah, subtle. Like you’re renting a house, and one day landlord come in and says: “now you have to pay me 3x the rent. Cause I want so. Your complains are unjustified because there is a direct way to make more money for you – get a second and a third job. I’ve heard the restorant cross the road needs someone to clean the toilets.”
Basically the situation above happened. It was Anet, not the players, who cut the leather income and raised it requierments in recipes. And now players have to clean their mess by no-brain farming. Of couse, Anet has all the rights to do anything they want with their game. But neglecting your playerbase is never a wise choice. As making your playerbase pay for your mistakes.

Lazarus was always a drama queen. He can’t just kill someone without a villain-stile 2-minute monolog. Just remember Out of the Shadows: he could kill everyone there with a single thought. But no, he chained every White Mantle there and forced to listen to his speaches before burning them to death.
Even in GW1 he was so over the top, shouting curses to everyone after being defeated (cliche villain stile).
Personally I enjoy him that way, just having a giggle every time he transforms something trivial into theater play.

The whole point of the leather farm is to ensure players always have a reliable way to focus on acquiring leather without turning to the trading post.

And it fails it that way. You can get as much (or even more) hardened leather just by playing Silverwastes or other 80 lvl meta maps. You can get far more hardend leather by running around frozen chests in Bitterfrost. But that amounts are still not enough. Because recipe requirements are bonkers.
I don’t understand how can’t you see the problem. The problem is that Anet artificially overhyped the hardened leather. Since HoT start they cut all its the income and raised to ridiculous levels its requirements (gossamer patches are not gossamer anymore, they are hardened leather patches). I am not against exotic/ascended craft being expencive. But why leather is the only T6 that is valuable? Orichalcum, gossamer are trash with nearly zero rarity and vendor prices. Ancient wood is a little above the latter two T6 mats. And Anet tries to compencate it with obnoxious leather T6 rarity/prices.

Only way the leather situation is being fixed is by reverting the change to salvaging rates of it… which occurred when HOT was introduced. Easy fix up done deal it wasn’t amazing back then and it probably won’t do too much right now (but possibly at least cut the price in half which it needs severely but this is a total guess)

This. It is almost ridiculous that gossamer patch is made mostly not with gossamer, but with hardened leather. Not to say that medium armor classes have to spent a ton more money on their gear than heavy or light guys. 5/5 gossamer/leather ratio in patches would be just right. But they will never do it, cause it will be admitting their mistake.

I can object. Druid is a nature base spec, not ranger. I always considered ranger as a hunter roaming the wilds. And a main hand dagger is a bad weapon for something like that. Hunter will not try to put down a bear/moose with a dagger if he has any other weapon of choice. Dagger is a anti-human stealth or a ritualistic weapon, not the main weapon of a person who is keen at wilderness survival.
Personally I would prefer a rifle (fully ranger build, yey). And, by the way, the only weapons exlusive to 2 professions are rifle and short bow (others are exlusive to minimum of 3 professions). So I expect some upcoming E-specs to use rifles and shortbows.

The supply didn’t change with that new farm. So long it’s a solid fact.

A 250 year old dragon may be able to do it. The illusion would be necessary because one elder dragon already tried to kill him and another elder dragon killed his mother.

I think we will not meet Gleam in GW2 for one simple reason. He will make Aurine
unimportant. Like, all the LS2 and half of HoT/LS3 are built around Aurine, Anet definitely considers her important to the plot. And then her elder brother just comes in and overshadows her, smarter, more powerful and ready to kick some behinds. That will never happen, cause it will make all that huge Aurine buildup complitely worthless. And that buildup is REALLY huge. Like Aurine is tha last legacy of Glint and some kind of messiah child.
I’m sure Gleam is either dead or corrupted by Kralk by now. And the only way he can appear in the story is as a Kralk’s lieutenant. It would also explaine why noone talks about him – zepherits and brotherhood of the dragon are ashamed of his corruption.

Supply and demand does not work when resources are infinite. Supply and demand is a model that works when resources are limited. When resources are low, demand creates an increase in price. When supply is plentiful, prices go down.

But that is not the case when resources are not finite and the economy is player controlled.

I agree with you that we don’t need another farm and better if we had good salvage rates. But you are fundamentally wrong in your statement. The resorces in GW2 are finite, as they are limited by player’s time. Real world example: you are a lumberjack in Alaska/Siberia with more trees around you can chop is ten thousand years. The tree supply is unlimited, but the lumber outcome is limited by yours working time. And time is a most valuable and limited resorse of them all. So, you are wrong, and supply/demand mechanic works well in GW2. The bad thing is that Anet already directly interveened this mechanic when they rised hardened leather demand in recipes and now they are trying to fix it with some vague indirect methods because they are afraid to admite their mistakes.

So, an imposter somehow discovered about Caudecus’ aspect gamble, infiltrated secret ritual unnoticed and then absorbed Bloodstone explosion. Personaly I can’t think of any living being in Tiria capable of such thing. And if this imposter is so powerful to make a genuine mursaat illusion, why would he? Everyone hates/distrusts mursaat, even in White Mantle only minority is still faithful to them, while majority just following Caudecus promises of power. Why not create an illusion of a human god, like Balthazar or Grenth?

Do people like Meta Maps?

I would not say that the 2 answers regarding this topic are like choosing between a “coat or shoes”. Simply because the 2 answers literally contradict each other, I am not saying that you would not be able to choose both at all, I am just saying that most probably have 1 thing they would like more (in its best state ofc, I guess thats how most intepretated it), if they should choose. I was personally never a fan of the repetition myself, not the “bulletsponge bosses” though I do get what you are saying. But the main difference between a meta map and one that is not, seems to be based on repetition, and again, I guess most did have some idea that it was the choice between a map regarding huge bosses/a lot of minions/XX stuff and doing them over or exploration (alone without dying to fast)/small interesting quests…etc you get the notion

But you are a bit wrong. All current meta-maps have non-meta events and content. In AB, for example, you can power up all the pilons and stil have an hour till the chalanges and octovine fight. But the map still lives, small non-meta events pop in (clear the waters, kill the vinetooth) to keep the players busy. Yeah, you can have full meta maps if you reset the map after final bossfight (hi, Mordemoth). And you can have full non-meta (hi, LS3 maps). But why don’t have both? The poll results are like 45/55 now. It is a bad idea to ignore any half of auditory when you can clearly make content for both sides.

Personally, I think it really IS Lazarus. Or, rather, 80% of him. The attempt to reform him worked, but part of him is missing. That would explain why he’s as powerful as he is, and yet acting much different than people expected him to. Maybe it’s even been replaced with something else, something that mellowed him out some.

This. It would also explain why he is acting like a good guy of a sudden. Maybe the switched artifact contained some human soul and Lazarus gained “humanity” from it (or even its personality).
If Lazarus the Dire is the same one from GW1, one of his aspects was already damaged/destroed years ago. And still he survived all that time. So obviously mursaat can live (barely) without one of aspects. Maybe he also can live a full life with someones soul replacing on of his aspects.
And technically Caudecus is right that way: Lazarus is not the true mursaat. He is a mursahuman, or mursanorn, or mursacat (whatever was in that artifact). Hey, maybe he is mursaRurik and we can see his death one more time.

Personaly I enjoy HoT stile meta, where chain events (each one with a little story in it) lead up to a epic world boss fight. Of course, there must be content for people for those who don’t like such kind of gameplay. But there should be content for people as me. I can see something like that content in Lake Doric, but it lacks 1 important thing – an epic climax, like a world boss fight.
I really don’t want to judge living world maps as they are free content, but if their “aviod all meta” thing is a new trend in upcomming expansion, I’m personaly not going to buy it.

Please reduce the Dreamer noise some!

Honestly, on some of the more audio annoying ones, I think they should make the legendary noise happen on a crit and the default weapon type noise by default.

A lot of build have a 100% crit under fury buff, so no, please. Do as with Nevermore. You hear ravens only when you draw it out (and it is a subtle sound, not as loud as Dreamer’s ear horserape), and on crits there is a neet visual effect. They should do the same thing with the Dreamer, cause now it is untolarable to have a person with it in party.

How would you redesign the ranger?

You are not open minded enough to even accept this as an optionnal E-spec

You’re joking, right? E-specs are not optional, they are mandatory. And every new E-spec will be overpowered just as an additional leveredge to make you buy new expansion.
As I understood from your earlier discussion, you want a petless E-spec. If that thing hits live servers it will push everything else from meta, as it was with Druid E-spec. You don’t want to play it? Sorry, no slot for you in fractal/raid group. There is no option here.
Oh, and one more thing. The most important one. I love my pets. Even if they act stupid and I lack control over them. Please don’t mess with my pets. Ranger always was (and will be) a pet class. Its icon is a pet paw, not a bow or Legolas face. Without a pet it will become just a medium armor warrior/dragon hunter clone. If you want it please go and play warrior or dragon hunter.
So, please, leave poor pets alone. All they need is:
1) ability to bite targets while moving;
2) extended control options;
3) better survivability – either sharing evasion frames with our dodge rolls or immunity to boss AoE skills.

Frac and Raid build ?

Druids are always welcome because Grace of the Land and glyph of empowerment are unique druid damage buffs. At least 1 druid per 5 people is always a good thing.
If you want to run both fractals and raids, I suggest you making ascended viper set (for fractals) and exotic magi (for raids). Healing dru’s are not very welcomed in fractals, exept for some weird “4 necros 1 druid” guys which read somewhere that this setup can faceroll any fractal and believe it. And for the raids you don’t need ascended gear, fo go for full exotic magi.

Since some bandits are linked to the White Mantle, it’s not too crazy to think that the centaurs and the White Mantle have some sort of deal/alliance going on.

Its a pity Scarlet is not here anymore, she would find some funny name for such a strange aliance. Like Horse Mantle or something.

I suggest you watch the video again as he considers himself the White Mantle’s God.
Any mortal being who sees himself as a God is very unlikely gonna help you.

I suggest you watch the trailer again, because Lazarus is not even in it. And play LS episodes 1 and 2 again, cause in ep.1 Lazarus clearly states that he will kill every white mantle who follows Caudecus. And in ep.2 he promises to us that he will to bring Wight Mantle to fight the dragons. While we can question his sincerity in latter statement, Lazarus obviously wants to be the only one White Mantle leader. So, yeah, he will try to “help” Divinity Reach by eliminating Caudecus and taking command over WM. Not because Lazarus is so great and generous, but cause it suits his plans and war between WM and DR is a perfect situation to make his plans work.

Lazarus will “help” as anyway. He wants full control over White Mantle, and that means he must bring Caudecus down. The real question is what Lazarus gonna do after that?

Magi druid in fractals/open world?

Ider.1276

My main concern is basically if Druid is decent at fractals/dungeons/open world with magi armor set?

Answer on your question is: totally worthless. Non-existant DPS, low CC, and all that content doesn’t require a dedicated healer. If you really want to be a credit to team in fractals/HoT meta bosses, go on for viper stats and shortbow+axe/torch build.
Full zerk longbow+sword/axe is still better then full magi staff druid, but has a DPS of 1/2 of a viper build (but still viable in T1 – T2 fractals and dungeons). You can trust me, I tried it all. Had a full ascended zerk ranger when HoT came in, now rerolled into viper and happy with it. Magi staff is bad even in open world, it takes like a minute just to kill a veteran mob.
For the raids have a second set of exotic magi gear, raids don’t require full ascended (5% of stats are not worth it). And go for full magi there, you will need all the healing power you need. I can recomend gear from Ascolonian catacombs dungeon. Magi stats and monk runes is just what you need.

Harbringer of Woe and Omadd's Machine

I never said the planet was Tiria. It may be just the random planet, they are quite a lot of there, in space. But definitely there are no dragon orbs there. You made up overcomplicated theory when there is a much plausible and logical explanation. The texture used in harbinger looks like one used in Dusk leg. greatsword. And it was just rehashed because it was a fitting texture.

I don’t see brocken orbs here. Only a cracked planet. It is obviously a planet in space, and it is in a plural number. While there are 6 dragons (orbs) and 2 of them are dead.
Besides, that thing is called harbinger of woe, not harbinger of joy. It should predict something bad, like planet destruction, not something good, like killing elder dragons.

How about you just relax and wait for them to release the next elite specs?

As I posted above, new elite spec will solve nothing. Lets say, Revenant gets new healing spec to boost Ventary, and ranger gets some neet DPS spec on par with tempest. Hooray for us. But what about Revenants? They will be forced into healing spec just as we are now since they get a support elite spec instead of new OP dps one.
The state of dedicated healer/support IS the problem. In core game (and for any other profession in HoT) there were no dedicated tank/support roles. And here go the druids, only spec in game that heals as a god and gives up to 25% damage (glyph+GotL) to party. Everything was at least tolerable untill avatar nerf. Then – blam! – you are full magi/zealot support, guys, worthless on your own. Have fun.
Yeah, we still have a little freedom in viper druid alternative. But in a raid 1 magi druid is still mandatory. And half of T4 fractal lfg is “lf healing druid”.
Maybe – just maybe – someone should consider moving away from the system when 1 person in a group does nothing but healing and others do nothing but damage? Thats not only a druid problem. Personaly I think that in GW2 a dedicated healer/tank role should not exist for any profession. And the gameplay balanced from that perspective.

The problem is we are THE only decent healer profession in the game. Thus we are forced into healing. Viper/zerk druids after nerfs cant heal decently, they are only good for buffing party with GotL. The raids are balanced for groups with dedicated healer, 100cm fractal is much easier with dedicated healer. So we have a problem that people want us as a healer, not as a dps class.
And new offensive spec will not change it. The only solutions of the problem I see:
1) someone else gets a better healing spec. Thus that unlucky profession will be forced into it as rangers are now.
2) destroying the concept of dedicated healer. Reconcept druid as condi cleanser-GotL buffer-some other utility DPS. Nerf avatar heal to the ground, give it other utilities instead (cleanses, stability, protection or block, choose any).

I personally prefer the 2nd option. GW2 was positioned as a game without dedicated healers/tanks. I can understand if that concept changed, but I can’t understand why it should change ONLY for my profession. Are rangers cursed/hated?
