My version of 30/30/10 will probably be meta. Ill talk about it on the upcoming SOTG. Been running it for months now in all the streamed/prize tournies with my team.
Whoever leaked the notes is a idiot. They have no foresight into the problems it will cause for the select few of us that test it and try to balance. Regardless if they are authentic/updated or not.
As much as love this Gibbly bashing, I did my best and the first tournament I know we did not do good, I was also unable to get in contact with them the day before because I was at work all day. For the second tournament I was able to communicate and talk with them the night before and we ended up going to the finals. A big thanks to all the guys as well especially Avarice for organizing and getting practice matches going while I was busy at work. As for all of this stuff, I would really appreciate it if people would just stop and be more mature over the subject, and whispering me in game telling me I am bad and that my builds suck is not the way to do that. I do not go to ANY of you and tell you that your builds suck, I did what I thought was best to be done and did not force anyone to do anything. Please take note that for most of the tournaments everyone played THEIR OWN builds which I had given suggestions on; I could have easily told everyone what to play and how to play it but that is not the point of this event. So if everyone, especially Altroll, were to take a more mature approach to this scenario, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
This. I was in the channel during the entire event and i can confirm he did what he was supposed to do – COACH. He was not playing and he let the players do what they enjoy- just play. Also people need to realize that this tournament was setup as just a cool/fun idea with the same profession teams, not a serious tournament.

If your upset with the incorrect information about the cooldown thats just nitpicking.
They could work on the amount of time they studer, well its not really stuttering it more like they cant make up where mind on what they want to say so they start one sentence then stop after one word and start a new one, but then change their mind again and start over on the first sentence.
Need to stop, think then speak.
But its a very nice podcast and is very informative and gives you stuff to think about when your playing.
Haha actually i noticed the exact same thing when i went back and listened to the cast. I do agree i was speaking very fast and jumping around. Should of slowed it down and thought it out besides just talking. Besides that and the one mistake on something insignificant, i can promise you the info is correct. Thank you for your input though XelNigma.
Oh because one mistake on the subject we were discussing disqualifies everything else. And that said information regardless of correct or not still wouldn’t be viable in the setting we were discussing. People make mistakes.
Had a great time doing the podcast. Sorry it took so long and glad you guys had me on! Also i am still trying to get some footage out there for everyone to see. Got some great stuff recorded against some top players this week. Current ranking as i post this is 38 (edit 29). Very volatile leaderboard.
Interesting build. I tried it, but didn’t like it. Way to squishy without the necessary mobility to make it work.
I think the major reason it works for Khalifa is because he has a team there to support him. In any other situation you are going to be targeted and destroyed in a matter of seconds. Especially when you pop lich form. This is a team fighting build, so if you don’t have a team to play with, this build most likely won’t work.
I actually had the pleasure of fighting Khalifa several times over the last 3 weeks. Hes a good player, make no mistake, but when I face him on my thief he doesn’t stand a chance against me if I catch him far enough away from his teammates. Of course any time he has teammates around he has the advantage. His team is very good at calling targets, focus firing, and getting people off the ground compared to the PUGs I always play with. On the flip side of things, every time I encounter his group when I am playing my necromancer, he absolutely destroys me in every fight.
Without a coordinated team, this build isn’t very effective IMO.
Kravik needs to catch the podcast :P. He actually mentioned this specifically stating that the main reason why he was so successful is because his original team was built around the powermancer.
He stated that powermancers are very strong, but not alot of people want to make a team around a specific build so the unique builds get left by the wayside for a more universal appeal (conditionmancers).
Such as theives in High End Tournaments are rarely seen because they have to be protected and against very good players they rarely catch you napping.
I remember the days when QT ran their comp based around Khalifa’s powermancer. It did indeed work and was quite nasty when lined up right (been on the receiving end of a warp+lich haha). Also, 30/0/10/0/30 does work Khalifa. Thats what i ran until you gave me your build before you made this post. Its just different, but you do feel a lot more beefy if you ds weave correctly.
Sorry i wasn’t there last night guys. I literally stepped out for a tiny bit after being on all day and ironically that’s when everyone jumped on haha. Anyway ill catch next cast if Khalifa didn’t get to cover something.
haha yes we still do tournaments. There just aren’t any set teams running. We usually just play around with a select group of players from several of the old teams (for high end that is). Still plenty of people solo queuing so its not completely dead yet.
Do your-self a favor and take the advice of some of the really good necros in this thread.
Ill back up shananigans Didnt care to read through every post, but i play mainly top tier and have subbed/played with/for many top teams. You honestly are under-rating what necros can do and probably have never played in a high enough setting.
