lol what? Have you actually played on a low tier server? i’m in GoM and on an average day the Q time for EB is about a minute which isn’t so bad but i don’t even want to imagine what it would be like with t1 guilds coming down here.

Ok so my friend in Blackgate invited me to his semi-big guild and being from t7/8 this was very exciting. I could finally experience high tier WvW and wait in the glorious Queue’s lol. But after he sent me the gold for 1.8k gems (55g -_-) i went to the transfer screen and Blackgate was/is Full…… Now i asked a few friends if it was possible to get into a Full server and they said if i tried it at midnight i might be able to get in. Now i haven’t teseted it yet but if it doesn’t work are there any other ways possible to get into BG?

WvW is fun but sometimes you just need to take a coffee break.

i agree with wads, a whole zerg should have enough CC & aoe to kill even the best of theives, you guys just gota take some tutorials on how to play

This might not be the reason but i have a feeling if Anet made starting an arena’s available to everyone there would just be too many. What if custom arena’s were guild based?

It could have it’s own tier of upgrades and cost X amount of influence, and maybe merits? Or maybe just influence so smaller-medium sized guilds can get one too?

The reason i like this idea so much is because it would help the overall PvP scene alot, Guilds would start to be PvP based and i feel alot more people would get into it if their guild had their own server.

the “alliance” chat would be waay too much and overall a waste of time for Anet. Most people are loyal to 1 guild as it should be.

ok, so i did get unbanned and i just had to change my name as i though in the first place. And it did sound like it was intentionally trying to get my accound infracted but my name was “Long Black Bob” which i just find humorous and i knew if a Anet member saw that i would be forced to change it but i did not know i would get such a hasty punishment. Thank you Anet for removing the suspension though.

My account was just banned for 74 hours or somethin like that for an abusive name or somethin. I was lead to believe you’d get a warning or be asked to change your name before it led to banning and i would’ve deleted my toon if it had been requested. Just saying it’s a little hasty and kinda just stupid in my opinion to take such drastic measure’s into play for a simple name change.

One thing you all must realize, if we had to pay 15$ that would mean the dev team would be bigger and we’d be getting alot more additional content more frequently. That is how WoW is able to come out with these huge expansions. But in the end i would gladly pay 15$ a month for this game, WvW is too much fun to give up

I think it’s safe to say that ADQQSTY is having fun on this tier. Easier to find smaller, skillful groups of people rather than huge swarms of rednames.

Had an interesting time on NSP BL for a lot of the evening. We found ourselves between GoM and NSP fighting for control of Bay, and happily dived in, stomping on whoever was in our way, though it sort of seemed like GoM was unfairly bearing the brunt of our attacks.

We… found GoM’s golems too at one point. Not quite too sure what they were doing wandering around by that tower, actually. I’m guessing the former golem owners got a tad annoyed after we killed some of them.

The other servers are laughing at our golem attempts :O Where’s TCMM when you need em

Okay, can someone who’s played guild missions past bounties tell me if they really need massive amounts of people to complete?
I’m getting more and more annoyed that all guild content is locked behind guild bounties which DO require more people than we have in our small guild.
Every month there’s an update to content we’re never likely to see thanks to guild bounties being impossible for us to complete.

i’ve completed then with 15-20 people but i’m sure you can do it with less because it scales up/down depending on how many people are present

Really excited for the upcoming patch.

But I must say, judging from the picture I honestly think the Guild Back Banner looks very awkward. It resembles something like a Japanese Sashimono (which is great – something I would look forward to), except its been redesigned to become a short mini version with less aggressiveness and at the same time doesn’t seem to fit in well with the GW2 art theme.
I think the idea of it is great, but just not very fond of the design. Very much happy to see that something is being released in place of the capes clipping issues, and also anticipating that this back banner will become something more.

I was waiting for someone to catch on with the banners instead of “omg need capes” and you sir, did!

Yeah, I can’t say I’m impressed. PvP stuff I don’t play, 1 Dungeon.. that’s kinda neat.. more expensive Gem stuff. Another Guild mission OPTION to do once per week. Guild Missions are pretty awful right now.. Trek & Bounty are excruciatingly dull…

The thing that gets me is that Anet said F&F is “An expansion’s worth of content” When there is no way to construe that as true. & they look like their gonna keep going with that over-promise, under-deliver: “culminates in a boss battle that will go down in Guild Wars 2 history”. Guys… STOP. It looks horrible when you say stuff like “expansions worth of content”. It’s not even close.

Agh.. & these currencies.. whaaaat?? Gold, Karma,Guild Merits, Laurels, AC,CM,CoF,.. agh WTFFFF.. Wasn’t the plan to have Karma be the thing that let us play what we want to buy what we want? I dunno.. I’m so inundated with currencies & mats it feels draining to dare having a goal.

personally i find the guild bounties quite fun being on Teamspeak and actually having to use coordination with the rest of the guild and i enjoy 100% of it. As for the expansion worth of content, yes that is a bit much too say but i would just disregard that they said it if that bugs you :P but hey, if you’re not here to have fun why are you here at all?

I concur with Tommyknocker. While it is cool to see a new dungeon and some more Guild and WvW stuff, I am more interested in class balance. Engineer, Necro and Rangers need a little loving :P

i assume you’re talking about in WvW right? because in PvP those are probably the top classes. Though yes i wouldnt mind a little bit of a touch up on d/d heal ele

I personally am still 100% loving Guild wars 2 even with my lvl 80 fully geared out and seeing updates like this really puts a smile on my face. I was just expecting some f/f retribution update but WOW guild banners, new guild missions, a new dungeon, custom arena’s, spectator mode and more WvW abilities. Anet is doing quite a fantastic job at keeping me into guild wars 2!

Jormag! I don’t know why but ever since i picked up guild wars 2 i have absolutely loved Jormag and the whole corrupted ice theme. Hell i even tricked out my norn to look partially corrupted! I’m also getting frostfang soon to complete my look lol. I’m also very intrigued about what Anet will do with Jormag’s tooth in The great lodge (Hoelbrak)

Can anyone explain how GoM was able to take Bay without there ever being and swords on the waypoint? The only reason I new we were losing it was the Commanders health dropped real fast. Never showed swords.

all this extra stuff in PvP looks like it would be fun in team PvP but as a solo player i find it to be extremely annoying and just plain stupid. I come to sPvP because i dont want to have all that excess stuff that WvW offers, i just want to fight some people and get better but it’s really hard when you are getting shot by a cannon that deals crazy damage and also knocks you down. Same goes with the treb in Battle for khylo, it’s a fun aspect but having some normal symmetrical maps like legacy of the foefire would be amazing!

I just got the molten rifle on my warrior because i’m zerk and rifles are dope. But after using it for a day i found out that the effect that most molten weapons have which is some sort of yellow dust being sucked into the weapon is bugged or something. You can clearly see the patch the effects take and i’d just like that to be fixed, it seems to only happen in WvW though which is wierd

Oh goodie….. The forums go from NSP’s “trolls” to these kitteny T8 servers. That being said the first few hours weren’t looking too good, but things seem to be changing quite a bit.

Sunrise, twilight,eternity, incinerator,bolt, The juggernaut, Kudzu are all legendaries and they all leave behind a trail when moving with them equipped, being a warrior i could go for twilight or sunrise like most try to do but using a greatsword isn’t even comparable to how amazing axe/axe feels in WvW/PvP and i would love to get frostfang but it’s just so underwhelming compared to twilight. I have only seen one frostfang in game and the owner of it said he regreted making it and should’ve just got “Corrupted Skeggox” which is quite similar and alot cheaper to craft. My norn is all tricked out to look corrupted from jormag and the one thing i really need to finish this off is a kitten frostfang that leaves shattered ice trail!

The best thing is two days ago it was really not bad, but yesterday whenever there was encounter i could hardly do anything. While 2 days ago i could use skills normally in the middle of 2 zergs clashing that yestarday i had so big delay that it hurted my soul It’s not only culling issue i believe. Still it’s unacceptable. It’s the very first MMO I play that have problems like this.

I remember while playing L2 and battles with 1k+ ppl. Never had problems like in gw2.

That’s exactly what i never understood, L2 is quite an old game but seiges on the castles were massive and if you had a good computer it was fun as hell but in 2013 even having a good computer doesn’t save you from this issue.

A few days before the January 28th patch I transfered to kaineng due to their WvW and i thought i could get karma and just see what a different world like, little did i know that it takes 7 days to transfer worlds again so i couldn’t get back to my home world (Northernshiverpeaks) in time and now i need to pay 1,000 Gems to get back unless i want to get rid of my guild and start anew but i really dont. Is there anyway i could get back to my world without paying 1,000 gems?
