You should also do an analysis on times of unmanned buff as well, if I see someone with an unmanned buff, I know I can cap more land on them, this raises my ppt and overall score.

I have personally never heard in the history of WvW, 2 servers going against 1 for an entire week. If you could show me some proof this happened in the past I would appreciate it.

Did you idiots seriously just come in here with one instance of a POSSIBLE 2v1 on SBI? Please. I would say 90% of the time you guys and JQ have done nothing to each other. Except for the small group of people that actually have a sense of dignity. This week so far has been hilarious. SBI saying every post that doesn’t worship them is a crying post. Ignoring proof of constant 2v1. In fact, while I was making this post I decided to take a screenshot for the hell of it. Literally this map is about 50% divided between SBI and JQ. EBG is about 50% pushing up on BG. BGBL is about 50% divided pushing up on BG. SBI has most of their BL and so does JQ. I am sorry but this 100% points to an obvious 2v1 scenario. Like someone said earlier. Do you guys have no shame at all?

Indeed this is a sad sight indeed. It only took me a few min to realize the blatant 2v1 just by looking at the 90% symmetrical map in EBG. The near equal points from SBI and JQ through most of the weekend. Funny, because they pretty much incriminated them selves last week. “We need to work together to get bandwagongate out of T1 and get SoS in here for a good fight.” This was from both sides. There have been forum posts offering treaty’s, ect. My question is, Why do you guys QQ all the time about BG being a bandwagon server, falsely accuse (for the most part) us for orb hacking, say we turtle, ect. Then pull this trash. It doesn’t show that your server is good in any way shape or form when you pretty much have 2 full servers going against 1. Also the fact that you guys try and defend yourself with “Oh BG and JQ were in the same 100 meter area then are 2v1!” When we have screenshots, Detailed stories, videos, testimony’s from both servers, ect. To support your blatant 2v1 attacks. If this is how your servers react to losing, I don’t want to be in T1 anyway. You claim we take this too seriously, but this. This is insane.

To those claiming BG was doing massive trash talking. You do realize that before the game even began we were being bad mouthed for being full of bandwagoners. Shortly after the game started and we began to win, the entire server was accused of helping orb hackers, and even wrongly accused of orb hacking in most cases (I still don’t know if they were true or not). 6 threads were closed because of this. Because SBI and JQ kept falsely accusing BG of hacking, turtling, portal glitching, ect. In fact I barely even saw many BG members even come on here because it was pointless trying to reason with you guys. Now that SBI and JQ have cought up, now you say WE trash talked? I might as well claim you guys orb hacked since SBI is winning.

I’ve just opened 95 chests – and I can’t say I’ve got nothing out of them(like most of you are saying), I’ve got lotsa buffs and unselss stuff – but thats not nothing.

As for anet -there’s an advice for you to add some kind of disclaimer (could aswell strap it to the confirmation window, upon buying the keys from the gemstore)

If you think that black and white about it you can say you don’t get nothing. However if I wanted buffs I could have bought them myself. If I wanted repair canisters I could have bought them myself. People bought the chests and the keys hoping for at least 1 think new. Dumped tons of money into the game. Some hundreds of dollars. I could have used that money to convert gems to gold and would have at least come out with SOMETHING.

@Mouse Another “entitled” post. No I feel like I was mislead on how rare the items actually were. I would not spend that much money on BLC’s. If I wanted boosters I would buy boosters. If I wanted repair canisters I would buy repair canisters. That is a fundamental flaw with BLC’s in general. They offer nothing I couldn’t go ahead and buy if I wanted to. Except. Surprise surprise. Halloween skins.

To the posters insulting people who bought keys and expected an item:

We aren’t talking about the US economy or housing market. We’re talking about a stupid video game where people want to run around with a pumpkin rifle. Based on colorful advertising and good faith, a lot of people paid some money with the understanding that doing so would give them a “chance” at those items.

That “chance” is being proven to be aggressively small. Different people came into this with different expectations, but I do think its safe to say that the cost of keys, coupled with the tiny percent chance of a skin, equates to a more cynical policy than fans of Anet anticipated.

Fair enough. Lesson learned. Personal responsibility also means licking your wounds and moving on. Those that feel they got misled, will be less likely to give Anet cash like that on impulse.

In my opinion, that’s bad business for Anet, and less fun for the players who weren’t so lucky. It didn’t have to be that way, and I don’t think there is ANY harm in lambasting Anet for this mess. They can, and should do better by their players.

Exactly. I am not asking for my money back, or for an item. I am just saying if they don’t compensate I will not be spending money on it again. That simple. They can continue. But they will lose customers to their store.

@Luna Casinos have a pretty bad reputation. The only people I notice that drop tons of money at casinos usually have a gambling problem. ANet has an overall good reputation. Near perfect. I had more faith in ANet then to even think for one second comparing BLC to casinos.

@War A pistol has a chance to hit a target at several yards away. A rocket launcher fired at the same target has a chance to hit the target. You see a problem here with the lack of specifics. Man, it almost sounds like they are equal. Now let me help you out. A Pistol has a low chance to hit a target 100 yards away. A rocket launcher has a great chance to hit the target 100 yards away. You see the meaning? I bet you don’t.

A company that talks highly of their community and of their business usually doesn’t do this. Being told this constantly gains trust. So no. It has to do with the company which is why companys like EA are looked down apon and others like Valve are treated highly. I guess I am too trusting. Also if you would read the post I mention the word “chance.” Chance doesn’t mean rare. Also none of the items in there would I even classify as being worth 100+ dollars or even 50. To not get one single thing is insane.

A few hours after the update. A staff member came in and decided they would add the word “Rare” in a forum post, to the the chances of getting a HWeen skin from the black lion chests. The problem is, if you will look at the HWeen event page. Is that this was omitted prior to the update. I thought it wouldn’t be that rare. I tossed 50 dollars expecting to get SOMETHING new. I instead received nothing. 50 dollars and I got nothing at all new.

Now I have heard of people getting a skin with 1 key or maybe 10. However I have also heard of people spending 100-200 dollars and not getting a single thing either. This is not the type of business practice I was expecting from ANet. To be extremely cryptic with how their gem store was going to work. Having someone go from just saying “chance” to “rare” seems like it was intentionally misleading. I will take some fault for this. Maybe I should have expected this from a company with no subscribers. But I trusted ANet not to use me as a cash cow for them. But I have learned my lesson and so have many others. This BLC thing won’t work again. At least on me. I guarantee you that. I work hard for my money. So do others. But I will not be taken advantage of by misleading me as to how rare your items are. Chance could mean anything. 1/2 1/10 1/100 or even a thousand. But this is the type of information that needs to be given out.

I have also heard that many of the rewards that are permanent are only available in the gem store and that a majority of the ones people will find freely have a time limit. I would expect a company that runs through word of mouth would use more common sense. This has been a primarily negative reaction to this business practice. For now I will continue to praise your amazing and revolutionary MMO. But the moment I feel taken advantage of again by your gem store. Is the moment I don’t tell a single person about it.

I have not participated in the event yet. I am soured by this, as reports from many more people keep pouring in of spending tons of money and getting nothing.

@Regina Maybe next time you can define “Rare” a little better. Because I doubt many people have have spent 50+ dollars expected absolutely nothing. Maybe tell us a 1/1000 chance, ect. But like I said I am never spending money for something like this again. This is the one and only instance where I have seen a blatant profiteering. I feel like a fool now for buying into this. But I have learned my lesson.

At least now I know not to do the black lion chests now for holiday events. I spent 50 dollars on the kitten keys and got nothing. I wish they would have said how rare it was going to be. I wasn’t expecting this level of rarity for something people had to pay for. I could have at least bought the skins in the gem store and got SOMETHING. Guess that is 50 dollars wasted.

In the PCGamer preview I saw that the weapons you buy with candy corn have a time limit of 4 hours. Why are they not permanent? Will the items I get in the black lion chest be limited as well? Otherwise I won’t even bother opening them. I was planning on spending quite a lot of money to open these chests.

I love how people are now redefining MMO so they can come up with an excuse to say the game must have Endgame. Sorry but I have a life. I have a job, bills, ect. Never in my mind when I say “You know what. I want to grind, and do the same content repeatedly at the end of my game for months on end.” Yet people are complaining that you can’t do that. It is pathetic to see this is what people complain about not seeing in an MMO. Nobody complains about Skyrim, or any other single player or multiplayer game not having endgame. It is an excuse. Nothing more. WoWbies came up with this nonsense as an excuse to say the game was fun. But contained 95% useless content until the endgame, and people justified that. The MMO genre as a whole is dying because of this philosophy.

That Cayden guy rage quitted after his server lost. Claimed that pretty much the entire game sucked oddly enough after his server lost. I wouldn’t really take anything he says respectfully.

^ Post like these are all just QQ. I could say the exact same about TC. Every server knows noobs join when they win and advance up. Blackgate has jumped up quickly and we have gotten noobs.

I got over 100 badges the other night because TC kept trying to take a SUPPLY CAMP while BADLY outnumbering us. Granted, I’m in KnT, which is one of the “high quality guilds”, but I was on when 3 other members were on and actually coordinating with us, and one wasn’t even KnT.

There are bad players on every server. But we didn’t win because we outnumbered. We won because we were better. The match was won in the first 12 hours of the week when there were heavy numbers on both sides.

TC was fine. FA has been QQing every day since we started.

So let us talk about respect. I am in the last room for the jumping puzzle. FA is camping up top. I /salute. I get attacked. TC is useally more respectful. They come in, and attack FA up top to no avail. I am thinking. Ok, we will team up together and get them off the top otherwise we are stuck here. TC comes down and attacks one of the people on my server. I /salute hoping they will understand. I start to revive the person then all of a sudden all 5 people from TC are on me attacking me. There was no reason at all for that. So as far as respect. Nobody from any of the other servers have earned it as well.

I keep hearing tales of dungeon bots, Zone bots, WvW bots. But I have only ever seen 2 groups of bots since release. One in Ascolon near the starting zone, and of course the Yak escorting bots. That is it. I am on Blackgate, a full server and I rarely see any. I have also stopped receiving gold selling letters completely. Yet for some reason there are a ton of threads saying they have seen TONS and it is going to ruin the game and it is just insane. I rarely see any.

We told you many times to show your sources, other than WoW players who are mad that GW2 got extremely popular reviews among those who like gaming in general. You said your friends. You then come back after many other posts and say the exact same thing again. That is like me going on WoW and saying I am the minority of those who like it. Do you want me to list all the positive reviews? Also I could have sworn that a ton of MMOs have been shot down by the WoW fanbase. In fact. WoW is rarely even mentioned in game on my server and it is a full server. It is only on the forums where the actual minority (those who dislike the game) come on and claim all the fanboys are attacking them, ect. Want me to list all the MMO’s WoW players have tried their hardest to push down a hole and pretend never existed?

If they did what you wanted, all they would add is just bells and whistles. Useless attacks which serve no purpose like in other MMO’s. They explained this.

I want people to take notice of what Cayden posts. Click his name and read his messages. This guy is a walking ad for Planetside 2. Never has anything nice to say at all unless it is someone who agrees with him, and has an overall holier than thou attitude. I thought I recognized him from somewhere. Yet in this post he tries his best to come off as civil and respectful. Just another troll. It also seems that this negative attitude started to occur when his server started to lose in WvW. He goes from being supportive, helpful, and encouraging to complete rage in no time.

I have a feeling that it is focused on the floor because of aoe attacks and for convenience, allowing you to see exactly where you are at all times. But mainly to see the aoe circles which are extremely important.

Thanks for posting this. I have been trying to tell people about this and they just ignored it and claimed that WoW was the holy jesus of endgame content. I don’t think doing repetitive tasks for months is fun at all. It is like having a second job.

I don’t get it. It makes sense for HoD to get tons of people because it is #1. Blackgate was not #1 and was also not #1 in the match. We didn’t even ask those EU servers to come so please think before you post such nonsense. It makes no sense for people to transfer to a server that was in second, and in the 3rd bracket. Dragonbrand is starting to look like the second server in the QQ category. Which is what I am guessing you are from. Simply put. We got people to fill the hours most of our afternoon zerg could not fill. You know. Like ArenaNet said we should! You lost get over it. Get better, and use some common sense.

EDIT: Oh and about it being “neck and neck” You guys were nightcapping us to hell and back. As I recall the day before we had the people transfer you owned 95% of the map yourself when I woke up the next morning. So now we have people on at those times and you are complaining about it?

If you took a screen shot of Monday and Tuesday right around this time it would look very similar as well

We had 3 EU guilds transfer which means we have a steady morning and early prime time presence and our over night is getting a lot better. This is what happens when you get guilds to actually fill up slots where you don’t have many players. Unlike the top servers who just say “We are #1! Come make us #1 some more!” Which accomplishes nothing.

This is also the exact issue I am having. The audio has not been fixed since launch. Now it is also accompanied by a “Memory at such and such cannot be read” crash. This needs to be fixed asap.

Dragonbrand giving us a show…

Now when there is a lot of action going on and I get the alarm sound bug. The game also freezes and the audio stutters repeatedly. I can’t alt-tab out I have to do ctrl+alt+del and end the process. Will this ever be fixed? I would have thought it would have by now.

Just to end this here. I recognize Kaine. This person was on Blackgate yesterday shouting for everyone to go to pointless locations often causing us to get killed in the process. It got so bad that most of the people in EB started to block him. We have also had 3 EU guilds transfer to BG to help out during the night. We had pretty much NO nighttime activity, just ask Crystal Desert. Also we are neck and neck with Dragonbrand and Fort Aspenwood during prime time hours so that is a lie as well. Sorry you left Kaine now you can go annoy Dragonbrand.

The people who claim it is dying are people who hit 80 and have no idea what to do because they don’t get the concept of the game and the whole map being their endgame at that point. You know what is ironic. The people rushing to level 80 are the noobs compared to the rest of us taking our time.

IMO the fanboys in this post will end up being the ones who kill this game. Ignoring whats wrong with the game and telling those that have progressed faster then you that they are doing it wrong will fix nothing.

I myself am in 4 guilds whos members range from 20-220 members and in the last week I have seen at most 4-7 people on in each during prime time.

I call bs on your guilds. Also the “fanboys” are pretty much right when it comes to what they are saying. Endgame posts are pointless, you were told what it was going to be like, you ignored it and bought the game anyway and then complained. Blind ignorance. Endgame complaints are falling on deaf ears because there is endgame but people want to grind in order for them to notice it. Its pretty sad really that these people are conditioned my other MMOs to do this. This is the future. It allows you to have a life, and have fun. Not do the same thing 24/7.

Im pretty sure the OP is talking about the “OMG I HAVE TO GRIND” and the “OMG WHERE MY ENDGAME” Threads. In which case ANet is doing exactly what they should be doing considering the people complaining are people who were told months and even years before hand how the game was going to play out.

Just got it again today fighting Claw of Jormag…

I am having major issues with this in WvW. I see a Theif constantly stealthing then unsteathing over and over until I am dead. I can’t get get a lock on in time before they do it again, and the backstab almost 1 hitter is insane. I am a hunter with a chance to 3 shot people with my Beast Master high crit damage build with my Raven, however it has to chase down my target, wait for it to stop THEN attack. The only classes I have seen with extreme over damage output for such a simple keystroke is Warrior and Theif. It is ruining the PvP aspect of GW2.

@Qtin That is odd. I am a beast master and I almost get one shotted everytime from a theif that is constantly in and out of stealth meaning, da da dadada I can’t attack it! This is a massive issue in WvW as well. Unless you have a 100% tank build good luck.

I use short bow when stacked into critical damage. I would imagine Long bow would be better for straight damage.
